Sounds like the Bitcoin client you have might be a virus or some kind of malware.  It detected you were on too secure of an operating system and so will not work right.  Redownload maybe.

Updated mine to that size already, I think it looks clean.

This happened with Bitcoin Mining Accidents ... I had the domain, I see a thread with that same title, I made the site that week. lol.

One of the greatest accidents ever, I love that site.

I can't believe not one Tweet lol, guess no gamers here.

Should I call this contest off and combine it with something bigger maybe http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=26450.0 ?

You need to re-do this thread and make the title "Someone Write Up a Namecoin for Dummies Please", I was tricked into coming here.

Don't you hate pants?
1728  Other / Meta / Re: Advertisements on Bitcoin Forum on: July 06, 2011, 01:46:46 PM
Advertising fee for this site would be high so that would deter griefers unless they are willing to spend a lot of bitcoin to have their entertainment.

http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=25962.0

If I was anyone in that thread I'd be first in line lol
1729  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: bitfreak.info - about bitcoin, mining info, merchant resources, news etc on: July 06, 2011, 01:26:56 PM
I'm not really a graphics artists at all, but those buttons turned out a lot better than I expected. Let me know if you use them.
Switched over now.  Same height as the ones I was using I noticed, like these ones a lot more already.

In related news Felony charges done by Miami Police against Ex-Chicago Bear Wolfe dropped

Wait, is that your son?  I didn't fully follow along.
1731  Economy / Services / Re: ATTN graphic designers, product label needed (1ɃTC) on: July 06, 2011, 12:59:34 PM
I do design when I can to help people here on the forums and I work way way cheap compared to what I see people charge on the forums.

Examples of my work are, the logo here http://www.thebitcoinlist.com, nearly everything here http://decentralizeddesign.com, and so much other random crap that I stopped keeping track of what work I've done for people.   But I like this.

8 to 10 btc sound ridiculous to me, that is someone overcharging.  But on the other hand 1btc might be on the low side only based on the amount of things you require for the project.  I hope I remember about this thread, I do want to give it a shot but have no time at the moment.
1732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Petition online retailers to use BitCoin? on: July 06, 2011, 12:54:13 PM
Let's do a proper positive push to online retailers.  Do it in a way that could have a good impact.

In this thread http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=26430.0 I noticed two things.

First, other people willing to put up something rather quickly (and I know for a fact there are tons of supporters here on the forums if they knew something would be somewhat organized and of course it gets done).

Second, a domain name that the owner would most likely be willing to help.   Benefits to all supporters and merchants to an organized effort for Bitcoin to other merchants would of course mean their name somewhere in this campaign.

We have lots of tools, lets get some more brainstorming.  Petitions are nice, but they only work in really specific situations, and convincing retailers to do something, well imo, it will taking putting your money where your mouth is.   So the campaign needs to involve people giving something up in some way, obvious money or Bitcoin is the simple and easy answer, but not maybe the right one.   This thread should be reserved for brainstorming to get a good real campaign going.

1734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Show on OnlyOneTV.com on: July 06, 2011, 11:56:43 AM
Can someone record: The Bitcoin Story on Al Jazeera English will air TODAY! "For certain in the 6pm and 8pm hours, but probably a few times.

Did anyone capture that?   I think someone posted about it http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=26284.0 but I did not hear further from that.
1735  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PAYPAL SCAM ALERT, scammer is John Binns and paypal. on: July 06, 2011, 11:41:43 AM
Bitcoins were banned from selling at Ebay.  If you continue to use it, then you do so at your own risk so stop crying.

This.  I think thread should either be locked or at the least retitled so people stop misusing that word Scam.

User error.
1736  Other / Archival / Re: Sold BitCoins On Ebay Got Scamed on: July 06, 2011, 11:40:27 AM
I would argue you tried to Scam eBay and PayPal on something you know does not fly with them.   Those services are a crutch to Bitcoin, switch to using something else.  The people who want the 'easily bought' Bitcoin will find the Bitcion eventually, everyone needs to just have a common site that a lot of people use so it becomes known.
1737  Other / Meta / Re: Advertisements on Bitcoin Forum on: July 06, 2011, 11:38:08 AM
I feel ads with this community would really really be abused.  I almost guarantee someone would be the space for a long period of time just to have a specific message to mess with others.   And if they don't do that, I am doing that, sounds like fun.
1738  Economy / Goods / Re: Today's MetaCo.in Deal: Jerky for bitcoins on: July 06, 2011, 11:37:08 AM
"The deal is on as soon as 3 people buy it. You are required to eat the jerky." lol
1739  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BIT-FUŽ - WIN BITCOINS IN A BROWSER-BASED KUNG FU GAME! on: July 06, 2011, 11:19:44 AM
lol, I did that based on the NES game of the same name (Kung Fu).  I will work on a real / better one for fun when I have the chance.
1740  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The #BuyWithBitcoin Contest - Signed Street Fighter Comic, 2nd prize is POGS on: July 06, 2011, 06:54:11 AM
hah, I tried something similar last month with this status

Funnily enough, I own buywithbitcoin.com ....it's un-developed ... so if you have a desire to do anything with it for this, let me know.

Oh man, we got someone else coming through with a third prize, and you have this domain.   Maybe I should have made a pre planning thread lol, I just kind of threw this out here for fun and hope some people do enter of course, but now knowing this, I assure you something good could come of that domain of course (hey, I'm sure you didn't buy it cause you thought it sucked  Wink )
