I asked for the reason but they (support) say they are not allowed.
Unless you were doing something illegal that is under investigation by law enforcement there is zero reason for them not telling you what the issue is. Keep bugging them to tell you why!

Do their T&C mention anything about transfers to/from gambling sites? I know that many exchanges do not allow that but if that is the case they should still tell you.
1722  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: S19pro review. now open. on: January 19, 2021, 01:44:35 PM
AFAIK wasn't the s19 advertised as using the 5nm node chips vs 7nm for the s17's?
1723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mine only with a desktop pc on: January 19, 2021, 01:33:15 PM
READ the 1 post that is pinned at the top of this section. Mainly point-3.
This area is BTC only and you cannot mine BTC with a PC. Period.  Crap altcoins sure but go the the altcoin area for that stuff.
1724  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Could someone help please? BFGMiner and antminer hashrate discrepancies - SOLO on: January 19, 2021, 01:43:18 AM
yesss.... Um check the mining software area... There are several there.

query - why using a proxy? Overall a bad idea unless you have a ton of miners behind it and wherever you point them at complains about too many connections.

As for knowing if you solo found a block - both KanoPool and -ck's solo pool will let you know ASAP and it will also very quickly be posted in their respective pool threads.
1725  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Help with avalon 841 set up? on: January 19, 2021, 01:27:41 AM
Sounds like problem is mis-matched controller amd miner firmwares. Both the controller and miners firmware are matched sets.

I'd suggest upgrading to the latest ones found here https://github.com/Canaan-Creative. Scroll down to get to the Avalon 8 stuff.

edit: it looks like Canaan has redone/gutted their github repo  Angry I can't find anything with the legacy pre-A10 firmwares... wth?

Ah ha! Found the Canaan dl site for the 841's https://download.canaan-creative.com/avalon841/. Go back 1 page from there to find firmwares for the A9's, 7, 6, and older miners of theirs.
1726  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Could someone help please? BFGMiner and antminer hashrate discrepancies - SOLO on: January 19, 2021, 01:12:56 AM
it is because both KanoPool and -ck's use stratum which these days is the expected connection. As for what BFG reports - no idea as it has not been updated in ages.

edit: Yay! Finally got the above links right! Phunky phlying phingers and all that.... Wink
1727  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Could someone help please? BFGMiner and antminer hashrate discrepancies - SOLO on: January 19, 2021, 12:59:05 AM
Frankly I am surprised a s9 will even run using BFG miner...
IMHO, Luke Jr.'s BFG is a crap clone of cgminer and is best used with BLF products that pretty much required it. Guaranteed that BM's hack of cgminer that they call BMminer has a lot of s9-specific tweaks in it that BFG has no idea how to do..

In short - stick with the original Bitmain or various 3rd party firmwares such as Braiins.
You know, there are other solo pools out there:
For one, if running OEM or Brains firmware there is my favorite, KanoPool and follow the instructions for registering as solo.

If using other 3rd party firmwares, use  -ck's solo pool it also allows direct mining to a wallet address with no registration.
1728  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Help with avalon 841 set up? on: January 19, 2021, 12:19:09 AM
You say 5000w 'converter'... Please say you really mean a commercial or industrial-grade transformer. Every product I've seen that is marketed as a 'converter' is usually aimed at travelers that need to changes voltages depending on where they travel to.

Yes the 'converters are transformers but 99% of they time they are crap quality and will quickly burn out when ran heavily loaded 24x7x365. That said, since you are feed it 110v, you have at least a 50A circuit feeding it right?

Regarding run time, the 841 should reach near full speed in around 10min at most and full speed within an hour or so. I usually check things at the 10min mark, you should be over 11THs on balanced mode.

Personally, given their modest efficiency I run my remaining 841's in low-power mode. They give a solid 8.5-9THs while pulling only around 750w each and run a lot quieter as well.

edit: Looking at your API log I see Freq: 199.58mHz and some of them are even lower.  Even in low power mode mine read 495mHz. You need to find why the speed is set so low or is throttling back so much. Vin (PSU) and Vo (chip voltages) look fine so I do not think power is an immediate problem.
1729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The biggest Bitcoin fork is our destiny on: January 18, 2021, 08:57:10 PM
There is approx 120 more years left for mining new coins which is more than enough. As others have said, 'lost' coins just make the ones left more valuable ergo, there is ZERO need to re-issue coins that are sitting in limbo.
1730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Available scrypt / LTC ASIC miners (Antminer L5 / Innosilicon A6+ / ???) on: January 18, 2021, 08:49:13 PM
Not going to get an answer here as this is the Bitcoin area - not alt crapcoins. The alt HW area is here
Expect the mods to move this to the right area...

1732  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Avalon 921 blue light but dont hash on: January 18, 2021, 02:03:51 PM
Are the controller and miner firmware both the same version? Both have to be the same or Avalons will not run.

Also missing from the log is any information about the AUC3 dongle. Right after the board info  (MW0, MW1, MW2, MW3) should be this:

giving communications status of the AUC3

edit: Should also add to be sure that you are using a USB data cable between the RasPi & AUC3 vs a charging cable. Charging cables often only have 2 wires in them and will not support data xfrs.
1733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Hashnest, good working service? on: January 18, 2021, 02:01:45 PM

Mods will move this
1734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks hope to issue their own "bitcoins" to fight BTC on: January 14, 2021, 04:34:23 PM
Federal Reserve and other central banks allowing CBDC's is NOT a fight against Bitcoin or other crypto coins.
It is the realization of a dream the central banks have been trying to push through since at least the 1960's when people started using checks and credit cards more than cash. Given the fact most banking with fiat is just moving numbers around between accounts the Fed and central banks of other countries would LOVE to eliminate having to print physical money & stamp gazillions of coins.

Thing is, up until now people were not willing to give up carrying cash. Lets face it: Having a wad of cash is in your pocket is far more satisfying than carrying just a card. I still prefer it however I also know plenty of folks that never carry any 'real money' anymore and only use their credit/debit cards.

Today, with more an more people using cards or their phones via billing apps there will be far less push back to embracing pure digital finances.

You posted in the Bitcoin area where crap altcoins are not allowed.
Asked mods to mod it.

1737  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Stuck new to ASIC on: January 13, 2021, 02:15:59 PM
What make and kind of ASIC-based miner? Bitmain? Canaan? Inosilicon?
Which one from them?
What coin? Bitcoin or some alt?
NH has many different mining modes, what are you using? Plus, NH is a horrible site to mine at as most of the time the miner is constantly switching coins based of at-the-moment profitability.

Ya have to give us at least a LITTLE bit of details here.....
