1721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another Crypto crash is imminent today on: November 11, 2022, 09:17:26 AM
Whenever a project faced a bug or problem that causes it's whole blockchain to shut down they always fix the issue and it will never repeat itself again which makes sense if a new project wants to grow..

Bit it's a different case with Solana, the same old bug keeps repeating itself and it never got fixed, I used to ask myself how this project is still alive after so many failures but now it looks like I get my answer.

Even if Solana goes all the way down to 1$ I am not buying, cheap transaction fee isn't the case anymore, many new projects have this already
1722  Economy / Exchanges / This seem like the only solution for cex now on: November 11, 2022, 07:47:08 AM
Trust on centralised exchanges without any proof won't work anymore, which is why Proof-Of- Reserves is making lot of sense, Crypto dot com came up with this idea some time ago and a lot of people are talking boooh about this idea, now it looks like the only solution available.

Over-leveraging ruined FTX and this always happens in the back, now Binance, OKEX and Crypto.com are now publishing their proof of reserves, what do you think about this idea?

Will this work at all or will fail over time? Drop your 💡.
1723  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Borrowing against your coins a bad or good practice? on: November 11, 2022, 06:10:03 AM
Hi BTT famz, is it a good idea to borrow against your crypto assets?
Question 1;
Why would you borrow against your crypto assets?

By borrowing against your crypto assets, you are basically handing over your assets to a third-party custodian or a centralized lender as collateral.  You are putting your assets to more danger of getting mismanaged or stolen.

Is there anyone practising this right now? What are the risks involved in doing this? Is Defi borrow and lending the best way to go because I know some are centralised.

You wanna know about the dangers?

Read more about what happened in the:
1. Luna crash saga
2. Three Arrows Capital saga
3. Celsius network saga
4. Voyager Digital saga
5. FTX- Alameda Research saga

To mention but a few, all this happened in 2022,

The answer is right under your nose.
I don't like the idea myself but since few new projects are using this idea as utility then I am guessing that many investors are patronising them, I can across a new project called HIFI Finance on coinmarketcap and I am doubting why such projects keep pumping up after so many damages that they have done to investors..

My curiosity was maybe there is more to the whole thing than I knew, this is why I asked this question, I thought 🤔 I was missing out on something, thanks for your reply.
1724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Not all gambling games are based on luck, some require skills on: November 11, 2022, 04:49:19 AM
Is there any gambling project that have a soccer game and horse racing game onboard? I believe that these two genre are not based on luck but skill that's why I ask this question, since most gambling projects have games that are based on luck like roulette and others.

1726  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Recent event: Stay away from centralized exchanges (FTX, Binance, etc), use DEX on: November 10, 2022, 09:52:34 AM
well after ftx case happened this will become a major warning for you guys I am pretty much using CEx for futures trading spot trading and  withdrawal and not save bunch money in there although i have not bunch of money at the moment  Grin

but using dex is actually the best way but you have to know that Dex is for token not coin like litecoin dogecoin that have its own chain. and dex also have its own risk like hack its become common too in dex space

I doubt that, no one saw this FTX crash coming and thanks to CZ for letting the whole thing out if not it would be much worse later. I believe that such incident will keep happening, it's not the first time and it won't be the last.

Also this is a perfect time for such a crash since we are already in a bear market, tell me, is there any bear market in the past with good news? It's always full of bad news.

Dex exchanges are not 100% safe as well but they are better than Centralised exchanges, now even Binance exchange is not safe because it's also a centralised exchange, I believe that's why CZ planned the whole SAFU Fund, he knew something could go wrong.
1727  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is BIKA Exchange Real? on: November 10, 2022, 08:30:55 AM
I appreciate your courage for asking this question on the forum before doing anything stupid..

Some tend to ask after they've messed up.

Stay away from any new exchanges, there is a probability that the exchange is a scam or a very bad exchange.

Old crypto exchanges have better users reviews that you can find online using search engine but you can't find such for new exchanges like this BIKA, so always stay with popular exchanges to avoid bad experiences later.
1728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEW🔮ZKasino.io | Fully decentralized casino | $10.000 🎁away | 0.6% | NO KYC on: November 09, 2022, 04:56:16 PM
I'm guessing this testnet offer isn't for every one? Some won't get paid I believe since the whole allocation is just 10,000$? I've participated in this zk roll project through Twitter but the 10,000$ pool is confusing, maybe I need someone to explain things better.

It's good to see a fully decentralised crypto gambling project, this one is sure different to others.

I hope you guys are going to introduce big bounty because that's the main issue with today's projects, they get hacked easily.

Also any safu fund in work? Best of luck ZKasino.
1729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is Binance poised to become a monopoly? on: November 09, 2022, 03:43:16 PM
It's not safe if binance is the only one taking the lead as the most powerful exchange in crypto space, things will be more balanced if there are two or more exchanges as powerful as binance exchange  ..

There is a big difference here though, Binance always have Safu fund just in case, I think every other exchanges should do the same thing, even crypto projects that aren't exchanges should start doing the same, the more I think about this the more it makes sense.

In the future things can get extremely challenging for Binance too and there won't be anyone there to safe them..

My advice is CZ should stop taking over other platforms and instead empower others to be like him..
1730  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Decentralized System: The way forward on: November 09, 2022, 12:04:05 PM
We are in a world where people believe in the government more than making decisions on their own when it comes to money, I believe this is why decentralisation is still a big joke till this day.

People believe that only the government can keep them safe when it comes to MONEY and INVESTMENT, anything that's not centralized people won't trust easily or not want to have anything to do with it.

In crypto space many blockchain projects claimed they are decentralised and later they turn into something else, look at Ethereum for example, it looks more like a centralised project to be, only bitcoin is truly decentralised right now.
1731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who Will buy Binance? 🤔 on: November 09, 2022, 08:51:29 AM
>FTX goes bust
>Binance buys it
The recent bit if funny thou. How shall we now refer to the once popular Blockfolio app? Will it now be Binance (formerly FTX(formerly Blockfolio app))?  Cheesy

Who will buy Binance 🤔  if they go to dust 😔?
What comes around goes around. Time will prove us right here, or wrong. Things change so quickly in crypto. Look how fast FTX sunk.
You are all making it look like CZ did a very wrongful thing, can anyone tell us a better solution than what CZ did? I think we got saved by this wise man, if CZ doesn't come up with this plan things will get more ugly for the whole crypto space.

If you don't know what FTX did maybe the picture below might help a bit, I believe that the blow would have been 3x of what happened to Luna.

1732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will FTX became the second Luna? on: November 09, 2022, 08:20:57 AM
From 21,000$ to 17600$ in 24,hrs? I don't remember luna crash this bad or am I wrong? It shows that if CZ haven't decide to take over FTX the result will be more disastrous, this can cause the greatest crypto bubble in the entire crypto history.

At this point some people are still expecting more downside for FTT token but I still believe that the bottom is finally in, the fear and greed index just shows that we might be heading into another extreme fear but it's also a good opportunity to.

Remember, be greedy when others are fearful.
1733  Economy / Gambling / Re: I won 1500 dollars on a ufc fight + quit gambling on: November 08, 2022, 04:16:59 PM
You are now a winner so it will get even harder to quit, once you embark on a gambling journey you will keep doing it even if you never worn, and if you win that will give you more encouragement to never stop gambling, congrats OP but you can't always be this lucky so tread carefully.
1734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It’s time people just fully accept 90% of the NFT space is a rug/slow rug on: November 08, 2022, 03:06:13 PM
The term "Slow Rug" is more acceptable than saying all NFTs are rugpull, there are few NFT projects that implement good use cases/demand for their NFT and it works, you just need to find them if NFT is your thing.

Do know that SEC is after NFTs, I read the news this morning that SEC is after boredape NFT and this boredape is one of the best NFT projects in the space, I don't know where this will lead but I do hope it's for the best.
1735  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Notification Pop for Wallet domain name on your trustwallet is a Scam on: November 08, 2022, 02:08:01 PM
I got this notification hours ago but I don't bother to open it, unstoppable domain is giving free domain to users of trust wallet, this is confirmed and I already claimed a free domain to my Twitter account using my Trust wallet but my fund never disappeared, I am guessing your friend did something wrong or just made up this story.
1736  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: This is why it's not a good idea to leave your coins on any exchange on: November 08, 2022, 11:47:13 AM
This topic had a related discussion i will also like to recommend going through with the title: Recent events should make you withdraw all your coins to your own wallet: Part 3 it was recently discussed by two reputable members of this forum gmaxwell and o_e_l_e_o whereby in the stated above link from o_e_l_e_o's thread he make reference to the related discussion from gmaxwell which also talks about why everyone should take his coins away from any exchange that supports BSV among other challenges that comes in with using a centralized exchange siting examples which i also encourage going through the discussion which was referenced on the same thread.
Not everyone visits Bitcoin discussion thread on this forum, some are into altcoins than Bitcoin so I don't see any reason not to create such a post in another thread for more people to be aware of.

Some investors don't even know what's happening to FTX yet because they bought the coin and decide never to look back until the bull market is here which can take a year or two, this is a very bad plan because anything can happen to that project within that time frame.

The reason why many leave coins on exchange is for trading purposes, I do trade on centralized exchanges too but when I quit for the day I move out all my profits and leave behind what im willing to lose if anything happen to the exchange.
1737  Other / Beginners & Help / This is why it's not a good idea to leave your coins on any exchange on: November 08, 2022, 08:22:11 AM
I am sure you guys are aware about the commotion that's happening between Binance and FTX right now? Well this is a very good reason why it's not a smart idea to trust any exchanges even if they are the number 1 over other crypto exchanges.

Do not leave your coins on any exchanges all in the name of ' you trust them ' ,this is business, trust nobody, CZ is good today but that's today, we are all humans and change is constant in our lives.

If you have any fund of FTX it's better to withdraw, I heard the withdrawal was stopped but now it's open, be smart because the market can still go lower due to this commotion.
1738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dextool and Pancakeswap on: November 06, 2022, 01:53:46 PM
Most altcoins on Pancakeswap have USDT/...... Trading pairs as well, you just have to change the WBNB to USDT, and you will need BNB in your wallet for transaction fees. For example WBNB/DOME token to USDT/DOME token, remember, both requires BNB as gas fee.
1739  Economy / Trading Discussion / Friends and Family members want me to invest for them, help! on: November 06, 2022, 12:00:36 PM
In my country up to 7 people I knew very well ( friends and family ) want me to help them invest money in crypto, after telling them the risk involved and how it will be better if they learn themselves they turn the idea down..

Now they want me to invest their own money on coins and they aren't ready to choose the coins they will like themselves.

After thinking this through and through I started feeling like they are doing this to hold me responsible if something goes wrong.

Is my thoughts right? If you are in my shoes what will you do?
1740  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I’m having problem withdrawing my bitcoin can someone help me out on: November 06, 2022, 08:48:56 AM
The information you dropped is limited and not helpful, what exchange you use for buying BTC? Can you drop a screenshot of your transaction? I think @Polapoka124 point is valid 🤔, maybe someone refers you to the website to deposit some BTC and take half of their share/pool, it's a very popular scam on telegram.
