except for certain casinos that have a web3 casino base and really use the original system from web3 such as decentralization without being centralized which usually does not require any KYC when wanting to withdraw any amount and gamblers will remain anonymous by only connecting a wallet.

but usually such casinos have lower maximum betting limits than casinos that have KYC rules.

Maybe, but at the end of the day those decentralized casinos are running code from a contract. That tells you nothing about the limits they might impose.

Maybe the contract says that it's fine to withdraw up to a certain amount. Being decentralized not necessarily means that there are no limits. It simply means that the code is stored in a blockchain. That's it.

But then this begs the question, why do you need the AI at all if you can make your own predictions and you can tell if the predictions given by the AI are any good or not?

At that point you will be better just following your betting system and ignore the predictions of the AI, as the only thing it will do is to confuse you and to create doubts in your mind about the accuracy of your system, which shows once again that as amazing as AI can be the only ones which can appreciate its power are those which do not really need it.

I guess it's having the feeling of ultimate control.

It's not simply blindly following what an automated system tells you, but you also add your gut feeling to it.

Not sure if it actually would improve the odds, but at the end of the day it might feel better for some, and that's at least a real thing.
1723  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is $30 dollars worth starting bitcoin? on: April 30, 2023, 05:52:44 AM
I you want to accumulate bitcoin starting at $30 then its a good start, Im not saying for trading but to buy and hold it, you can buy weekly or bi weekly if you have extra money to invest do this in 5 -10 years and you will see the fruits of your hard earned money.

Yeah, I think they will get more out of the experience by learning how to self custody Bitcoin instead of the capital gains they might get for $30.

Long time ago, maybe, but the gains to be made these days are not comparable.
1724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: April 30, 2023, 05:51:32 AM
Usage of technology is appreciated, but replacing the technology with human beings is not that good. In my opinion human beings make mistakes and the decision of the player to challenge and get the correct result makes the game interesting. It also shows how high is the player and his concentration. Having technology instead will reduce errors and helps to avoid disappointment in match results, as we were able to see more matches turning in favour of the opponent after a wrong decision from referee.

Yeah, but having to review the decisions all the time changes the rhythm of the game.

I find it a bit boring when they stop all the time for technicalities, it turns the game into something else. A bit like American Football where they stop all the time.

I think that things are better without alcohol, alcohol sometimes makes people lose control, sometimes freedoms can turn into tragedies if they are Abused, because this becomes Licentiousness and that is not good, always that there is alcohol associated with it, sometimes they can kill and they don't remember what they did, and then if so, how is it left after a misfortune occurs?I think that the healthiest thing here is that in the next World Cup there will be no alcoholic beverages, but it is difficult to Control, and if they have those Freedoms, then more problems can be generated.

The main countries of the world cup are from Europe and South America.

Those countries usually have alcohol as part of their culture. Therefore, I don't think the world cup will remove alcohol any time soon.

Plus, they have sponsors from alcoholic companies, so there's almost no chance of having a world cup free of alcohol.

Well, it should be like this, don't you think? Bonuses are there to make people "taste" the game, and then, if they like it, they must deposit to play more. Although, it's not exactly like that. Firstly, you can play in demo mode for free as much as you want. Secondly, there are exceptions. I myself won a withdrawable amount couple of times on various sites, starting with just bonus money.

Yeah, a bonus is simply to give a bit of a boost to a player.

If it was something were people actually could withdraw the whole amount without playing and putting some money in, then a lot of people would simply take the money out, making it not work for the casino at all.

The thing is that if people can do it, they will do it.

I agree with you guys because I myself prefer to get small wins but the freedom for KYC I get than having to give it later when I get a big win and the casino asks for it as a condition for withdrawal.
The casino should have said from the start that they would be enforcing KYC so that gamblers don't feel disappointed in the future.
There are a number of casinos that I use and they are different, of course some are non KYC, some also enforce KYC, but at casinos that enforce KYC, I always give it at the beginning when I register so that later I don't have problems like you said.
At first I really wanted to remain anonymous in gambling but due to several factors I inevitably started giving KYC to the casinos I used (Only trusted and reputable casinos).

I don't think there's any casino online in which you can gamble absolutely anonymous. Maybe for a small amount, but any major withdrawal I think would require some level of KYC.

If not, then it would be an easy way for people to launder money.
1728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Satoshi is eventually ID by the government on: April 27, 2023, 04:15:14 AM
Funny, nothing will happen to Bitcoin, I believe. How long has Bitcoin operated without Satoshis, do you remember? In fact, Bitcoin is still good.
So even if Satoshi is caught, threatened, or killed, Bitcoin will still run.

Agreed.

I think it might cause some kind of temporal disturbance, but quickly it will be forgotten.

And the thing is that Bitcoin doesn't need a leader. It hasn't needed one in more than a decade, so I'm sure it will be fine.

Having more countries will cut the costs of building new stadiums or improving the actual ones by only one nation to having multiple nations that will divide this charge while enjoying more profits from having more games.
It is all commercial business.

But it might also be the case that costs go higher in the case of multiple nations hosting it.

Instead of centralizing everything, and re-utilizing infrastructure, you have to start basically from zero at each country.

Going from zero to one stadium is huge, but going from one to two stadiums is not the same linear increase, it's a bit cheaper, economies of scale.

Actually, the main host of the 2026 world cup is America that's why most of the world cup games are in America instead of Canada or Mexico and that's maybe because of the more potential they have in America, I think the reason why the let Canada and Mexico help America with hosting the world is just because we have more teams in the world cup and more matches.

So, because the number of teams will continue to be large, will we now have only multiple countries hosting the future world cups?

I don't think it will be like that, it sounds like an organization hell.

But it might be the plan of FIFA. Maybe this tournament is getting too big, and they need to get many countries on board to get enough money for them.
1731  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: April 26, 2023, 11:29:50 PM

My assumption is saying if AI will give future prediction based on the past statistic, although it's true a team which have a good record tend to win, but we have seen so many top team get beaten by mediocre team and a team which become champion for multiple times will not always make them become a champion in the next season.

Although I had saw so many thread or article saying you shouldn't involve emotion in gambling, but now the difference of human and AI is the emotion Cheesy

Well, sure, but those events are less probable to happen.

For example, if you throw a dice three times you probably won't see a 6 three times in a row, but it can still happen. And it will happen eventually. Just that it's not as common as seeing other combinations.

The same happens with sports betting as well.
1732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: April 26, 2023, 11:27:54 PM

There is no doubt that Trump is "strong". But the question is whether he is loyal to the party or not. If you remember, after he lost the 2020 POTUS elections, he refused to campaign for the GOP candidates in Georgia. And this resulted in the loss of at least one senate seat (and possibly 2) for the Republican party. Trump is very selfish and he only cares about himself. Even during the 2022 midterm elections, he supported a number of "unelectable" candidates during the senate races (Mehmet Oz in Pennsylvania as an example), and this resulted in poor performance for the GOP.

At the end of the day I'm sure Trump will be the at least close to become the next president.

And Biden will be there as well, both of them, at around 50%.

I'm not sure how people would feel about it. Another term for their president?, both have already served. You can see what they have done in real life.

Maybe some people want a third option, but I don't think there is.

Your logic works when one or two countries are hosting the world cup. But it doesn't work when a large group of countries are co-hosting this tournament. And in 2030 it is going to be even worse. There is a combined bid from Uruguay–Argentina–Chile–Paraguay. If they succeed, then there will be 4 co-hosts and each one will qualify for the tournament automatically. And for all the other teams from CONMEBOL (including Brazil), only 2 spots will be made available for the 2030 World Cup. Do you really believe that this is fair?

Did they change that rule?

Because in the past even if the host qualified, for example Brazil 2014, South America still had their full 4.5 slots, even though Brazil was qualified as host.

In that world cup, on top of Brazil, these teams from South America qualified: Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, and Uruguay went on to play against Jordan and qualified. So, overall, there were 6 teams from South America in the 2014 world cup.

That's what actually AI will respond with these set of questions that are being thrown to it. If the answer to a question is about like predicting the future outcome of a match or an answer that needs some opinion, it will answer that it cannot answer wholly and will only base on the data that's given it can find over the internet. With even gpt4, I guess that it's still having time in learning how to give some predictions related to gambling and sportsbetting.

You can also always ask roundabout questions to the AI, and make up your own mind about who's going to win an event.

There's no need to obtain an actual odd, you simply might request some specific information about key players, and things like that.

It's basically a tool, and there will be many different usages of it.
1735  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC vs physical gold price potential on: April 26, 2023, 06:56:53 AM
Currently, gold is one of the most valuable things in the world. Most of the people of the world probably know about this gold. Gold has a tangible form. People use gold not only as ornaments but now people also use gold as their savings.  There are many people who save money and spend it through them, basically those people save gold instead of money. Many people invest in gold. That is, they buy gold with a large amount of money at that time when the price of gold has come down relatively much.

Bitcoin is a digital currency. It has no real shape. But the interesting thing is that despite its lack of physical form, Bitcoin is a very popular currency worldwide. Maybe not so many people around the world are aware of Bitcoin like gold but the amount of investment in Bitcoin is very high. Many people have now chosen Bitcoin as one of their investment mediums.

There's also a lot of fake gold around the world:

“It’s a wonderful way of laundering conflict gold,” said Richard Hayes, chief executive of the Perth Mint in Australia, one of the world’s largest refiners. “The gold is genuine, but it’s not ethically sourced… .”

Cheating Wonders: The $6,000,000,000 Gold Mine That Didn’t Exist

And so on.

It's really hard to be 100% sure the gold you're buying is genuine. You might end up losing almost all your money if you buy the wrong thing.

With Bitcoin you can easily verify if it's genuine. It simply works.

80 out of a total of 104 matches are being played in the United States, but FIFA has decided to provide automatic qualification to all the three hosts. This is where I am having an issue. I don't have a problem in case the USA is given automatic entry by the virtue of being the hosts. But what about Canada and Mexico? What is the point in providing them the same benefit, given the fact that they are only hosting a dozen or so matches? It is so unfair to the other teams in the CONCACAF, because the number of slots available for them has been reduced.

I believe it has been a tradition since the initial world cup to have the host qualify automatically.

I mean, can you imagine hosting an event in which you're not even participating?, doesn't seem too fair to be honest. The hosts need to put a lot of money and effort to make it happen, at a minimum they should qualify.

If the gambler doesn't have any good control with their bankroll, even they've got the chance of winning eventually, they will lose it back to the house, though there are gamblers who knows how to deal with it and can manage to win, not many for sure as we continue to see more casino that keeps opening from time to time.

Moving back to the thread, AI might be used by both gambler and the house. They will both adjust and I agree that the house will continue to have that edge due to the house edge and the automated system that is being provided by bookies.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure casinos have already started to use AI to calculate their odds more accurately.

At the end of the day, they have a lot of money and usually can afford to stay on top of the game all the time.
1738  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin price control by human agents or electronic technology? on: April 25, 2023, 11:11:01 PM
The price movements in the cryptocurrency market are complex and influenced by many factors beyond just buying and selling activity. Other factors that can affect the price include media coverage, regulatory changes, and adoption by mainstream institutions. Additionally, there are certain automated trading programs and algorithms that can influence the market as well. It's important to keep in mind that the cryptocurrency market is still relatively new and evolving, so it's difficult to predict how it will continue to develop and what other factors may come into play

While that's true, it usually only affects a small portion. It's basically a short term noise in the price.

The long term trend is usually more interesting, and usually follows the halvenings, and overall increases its scarcity, making it more valuable.
1739  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC vs physical gold price potential on: April 25, 2023, 11:09:37 PM
The potential of bitcoin is so much higher than gold. The price of gold doesn’t go up anywhere near as much as bitcoin. Gold is useless as a means of payment, you can’t transport large amounts across borders without certification & proofs.

Bitcoin is the future, gold is the past.

Yeah, Bitcoin is going to be a fundamental block in society, just like the Internet is now used for communications, the Bitcoin network will be the backbone of international financial transfers.

You will be able to send and receive any kind of currency, convert it locally to Bitcoin, send it or receive it through the Bitcoin network, then exchange it on the other country to the target currency. And that's just the first application.

We had the world cup with two hosts before if I'm not wrong but still, we never had three countries in a world cup however America is the primary host and Canada/ Mexico are just helping America but I think the reason of why FIFA made three countries hosting the world cup was increasing the number of teams in the world cup that's why we need more hosts instead of one country hosting the world cup.

Yeah, that was Korea/Japan 2002, and yes, we've never had three teams hosting it.

By that logic, it would mean that from now on we will always have multiple teams hosting the world cup. Is this going to be the norm?, also, from what I've read it looks like it will be mostly played in the US.
