1721  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You can Make 785 + Merits as well in 365 Days on: December 27, 2022, 04:20:52 PM
I have little recommended with your sMerit earn could be more contributing in the forum, seems almost 20 days without any contributing yet to the other maybe they need your helped can reach up to higher rank,
Because 1 merit is 0.5 sMerit, so the OP still has around 44 sMerit that haven't been used. But no one is going to force him to spend all those sMerits as long as he doesn't find a quality post. Not spending sMerit in 20 days is also not a reason why OP doesn't contribute to other people's achievements, he can still do anytime if he finds a quality post.

About the OP's success getting 700+ merit in a year, I think it should be one that can motivate a lot of other newbies. While it may not be true that they tend to think of merit in every post they make, the focus remains on the quality of the post regardless of whether someone will post merit or not. But OP, congrats on your achievement, it must be great because you managed to grow so fast.
1722  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: December 27, 2022, 04:06:24 PM
As the defending champions so much is expected from them in the Champions league this season. Their success in the Champions league this season will depend on how much resistance they can show against any other opponent in the tournament this season begining from beating Liverpool in the next knockout round. This is a difficult task for Real Madrid and facing Liverpool for the third time I'm sure Liverpool will be looking for revenge this time.
To be honest I don't want Liverpool to get their revenge but either way it's going to be tough. Real Madrid had a good experience against Liverpool and here I can really expect a positive result from him. We know what we have to do, which means that Real Madrid must not give anyone a chance to beat them and derail this season's plans.

If Liverpool want revenge, I guarantee they will lose. But if Liverpool want to play better and try to win the match without holding grudges, then I think Real Madrid are definitely in trouble. The goal of both is the same, that is, they both want to win. But obviously I would expect Real Madrid to win over Liverpool.
1723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: December 27, 2022, 03:41:27 PM
Strasbourg was at the bottom. PSG didn't even need to use its main starting line up to be able to win against strasbourg. Can we call that PSG will get fullpoints easily from strasbourg? I personally think that the result can be known easily even with hearing the name of team that will be faced in the next match of french league. PSG is dominating everything here.
Everyone knows that PSG is the most dominant team in Ligue 1. PSG didn't seem to have a strong competitor throughout the season even though they could also loss a few points in 38 matches. Boring, that may be the true impression people give of Ligue 1.

The real competition for PSG is in the Champions League, but they haven't managed to prove that they can win the title. PSG has a lot of quality players both in defense and attack, but the lack of experience of the team and coach they have is the cause of failure in the Champions League. I can't find any other reason.
1724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 27, 2022, 03:34:00 PM
No Offense, but I agree that Serie-A teams may find it difficult to get the title of UCL with the current players composition. However, I don't agree if it's 20-30 years. Because there will be many quality players who are promoted or brought in to Serie-A. If within 20 years since Inter won, the possibility of not seeing a champion from Serie A still makes sense. Because in the next 5 years, if Serie-A players quality are still under players from the Spanish league quality, of course it won't be possible. Maybe if Ancelotti coached the right club like Milan 10+ years ago, the UCL title could be won again by a Serie-A team, because I think Ancelotti has UCL DNA Cheesy
It all really depends on the quality of the players and coaches. I agree that Ancelotti is a coach who has Champions League DNA, but with a team that lacks quality, the chances are very slim. But things can still change, in fact there is always the chance to see Serie A team have a great journey in the Champions League every season.

Now Napoli, Milan and Inter have the opportunity to have a great journey in the Champions League. They have already qualified for the round of 16 and they only have to fight for a ticket to the quarter-finals. Napoli and Inter have the better chances, while Milan looks set to have a hard time beating Tottenham. There are at least 2 Serie A teams that I think have a good chance of qualifying for the quarter-finals, well let's hope that's true.
1725  Other / Off-topic / Re: 400M Twitter users’ data is reportedly on sale in the black market on: December 26, 2022, 06:54:59 PM
Reason why it is better to use a fake profile for most if not all social media accounts, good thing I don't register on any social media with my real details.
And how can this happen under the watch of the great Elon Musk? lol, I guess he is leaning the hard way, am sure this will increase trust from all the users of Twitter, seems like all the disgruntled ex-employees are making a move  Cheesy
I deeply regret this case, but I don't think it's a surprise either. In the past year, there have been many similar cases that have become a trend in my country where someone will sell people's personal data on the black market, even state officials' data is in it. Regarding Twitter, I think the seller has had the data for a long time and is only now willing to sell it.

Of course I really have to be careful about this case, even if I haven't used Twitter much longer than now. Online platform security is inherently bad, we should avoid it as much as possible.
1726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: December 26, 2022, 06:38:50 PM
I think he could just finish his contract here, which will end in 2024 if I am not wrong, and then he could move to Real Madrid that way? He must be working towards making enough money here that he wouldn't really need to ask for a lot from Real because he would have all he needs from the PSG contract already.
But the fact is not the case, every player has high salary demands based on their quality and contribution. I still think Mbappe will demand a high salary from any team that wants to sign him, including Real Madrid, as well as other players, even Ronaldo and Messi who are much older, they still demand high wages from the teams that sign him.
1727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: December 26, 2022, 06:05:30 PM
I'm Just confused about Russia, are they still banned for 2026?
Most likely we will know the information, but now it seems unlikely because the war is still going on.

The 48 teams that will qualify for the tournament should be something that might be good for most countries to warmly welcome. I was expecting some Asian representatives to finally pull off something great at the 2026 World Cup, but it's clear we were never really the favourites. Therefore, new history was made by FIFA by choosing 3 countries to host the World Cup. This idea will definitely get pros and cons especially because it looks like a business that will benefit FIFA itself.
1728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: December 26, 2022, 05:52:30 PM
Both teams have important star names. So clearly one team is not ahead. In my opinion, Paris SG looks far superior thanks to its offensive power. They have an offensive line made up of the best players from the Argentina, France and Brazil national teams. This makes them stand out. However, Bayern Munich is not a simple team and if they put their strength on the field, they have a chance to win the match.
Both teams have their strengths and weaknesses, it's something any coach of the two might explore.
PSG's strengths so far have been evenly distributed across the pitch, but I tend to think they haven't been able to control enough when under pressure. I've seen them fail in this way several times in the decider like they did in the last 2 seasons, and now they need to learn. We know Bayern Munich's strength even though they aren't too favored, but PSG must be very careful if they want to qualify for the quarter-finals.
1729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: December 25, 2022, 11:12:36 AM
It's a big mistake when people underestimate the strength that Bayern Munich has this season, because the competition will only give birth to one champion but that doesn't mean that other clubs are weak and aren't strong challengers.
All teams will be stronger in the knockout phase because they have a plan to qualify for the next phase. That's why it's difficult to determine who will win the match because the teams will try to do their best, and sometimes the quality of the team and the players will not determine victory.

I'm not underestimating Bayern Munich, but of course PSG look more likely to win that match. After all, PSG is one of the favorites this season even though in fact they always fail. Bayern Munich have experience, of course that will make them have something more than PSG. Bayern Munich are also favourites, as are Real Madrid and all the other Premier League team to qualify for the last 16.
1730  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bear market likely over? on: December 25, 2022, 11:05:01 AM
It will only be over once the bull run will start, also, at the current price, it's not safe yet if this will stop at this range, anything can happen mate, this is crypto and everything is very unpredictable, the only thing that I'm certain is when the price is too low, that's a sign that we should already invest.

We usually have a good December, but this time the price is very low, so let's take this opportunity to invest rather than worrying market situation.
The price currently tends to be sideways although some small increases and corrections are still possible.
Of course we never know when this bear market will end, but recovery can certainly be expected. I'd be more likely to recommend someone invest during this bear market instead of waiting for confirmation the market is recovering, the reason being of course bitcoin has been in the low price so far since ATH.

If someone is not brave enough to invest in bitcoin during the 75% drop, then I don't know what percentage loss they can expect from bitcoin until they are willing to invest with it. I don't expect the decline to reach 80% - 85%, that means I still hope bitcoin can maintain its current price.
1731  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Finally got my boss to pay me in Bitcoin on: December 25, 2022, 10:51:59 AM
What's surprising here? I don't think so - and of course your boss has the option of paying you in bitcoin as long as you both agree to the payment. Regardless of where you live, I still don't know if your country has legalized bitcoin as a means of payment, but if it is illegal then surely paying salary in bitcoin shouldn't need to be made public.

The salary payment in CBDC will not differ from the salary in fiat, as it is just another form of money. In fact, when you receive a salary in CBDC, you can also convert it to bitcoin if you wish, just like now you can convert your fiat to BTC.
Exactly, CBDC is fiat in another form. High volatility can be minimized with CBDC, so that governments can adopt it to pay salaries instead of adopting bitcoin. I'm more likely to receive CBDC as a salary although some of it I can convert to bitcoin or altcoin.
1732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 25, 2022, 10:38:18 AM
I agree with you guys And even overall actually Juventus is very good this season even though the start was a little bad. they only suffered 2 defeats from a total of 15 matches this season. Even in the match against Cremonese I don't think it will be a tough challenge for Juventus. and I'm sure Juventus can get full points.
Even though Cremonese is playing at home, Juventus will still be the favourites. After their last defeat to Milan, Juventus have actually improved and managed to win all matches for Serie A. It is hoped that Juventus will be able to maintain this good form against Cremonese in the next match, and the chances of victory for Juventus are certainly higher.

I'm sure Juventus will win and it looks like there are no surprises we can expect. Meanwhile, I think Milan is also very likely to get full points against Salernitana. Milan must avoid defeat and keep closer to Napoli, but if Milan lose then it is very likely that they will be overtaken by Juventus, who are currently 2 points apart.
1733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Megathread] Bitcoin: What is missing for everyone to use btc on a daily basis? on: December 24, 2022, 06:25:47 PM
Almost every government allows trading of btc but they do not allow it as legal tender which is different. You can still use Bitcoin and convert to fiat in most countries. I think it is only asian countries which have banned or heavily regulate its use and even then they usually start allowing btc again once they have figured out how to tax it. Governments would lose out if they did not regulate it and just banned it so instead they tax it and benefit from people using it.
Whatever the goals of the government regarding bitcoin, they are only able to regulate users, the rest is not. I am an Asian (Indonesian) citizen, and it is true that my government is quite friendly to crypto, especially bitcoin and has never banned trading. Governments have rules about legal currencies, so bitcoin is not one of them, so to this day bitcoin and altcoin are only legalized as trading and investment assets. We have to pay taxes, the government regulates it through our transactions on local exchanges.

Why do people assume all governments are hostile towards btc? Most are friendly and benefit from the tax generation.
Because some of them don't seem to like the idea of bitcoin decentralization. People want freedom, but the government doesn't want it.
1734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 24, 2022, 06:16:27 PM
As the host for Inter Milan, they should be able to beat Napoli because for me this is a perfectly balanced match, it's just that Napoli will definitely defend as a challenger for the Scudetto title, the dominance of the two will be quite strong if Napoli really lose this match, there is a possibility that other teams can beat it too and clearly with a point difference it will be closer to other teams, even now it is quite far from Inter Milan in points.
Inter are the favorites against Napoli. I don't think Napoli will really be able to beat Inter and maintain that unbeaten record. Napoli will lose to Inter, but the Napoli odds are looking very tempting. Inter will be fighting for their place in the top 4 again, so I think this match is really very exciting to look forward to in early January. Salernitana vs Milan will be the opening match for week 16, we will see if Milan can get 3 points to get close to Napoli or maybe Napoli is really unstoppable.
1735  Economy / Reputation / Re: Flag on a supposed Poker Player on: December 24, 2022, 05:12:22 PM
It is impossible to always win at gambling, regardless of the type of game. I don't believe it, the trick will only benefit him and I think it is one of the scams that needs to be fought. The end points is don't trust anyone else with your money, in fact we always recommend people withdraw their funds from centralized exchanges, so what's the point of trusting a newbie and financed it to gamble. Flags should be supported I guess.

I also get some beginners have the same idea, but they do it in a different game or something else like sports betting, investing or futures trading. Everything they say can't be trusted, I think it's an attempt at scam.
1736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: December 23, 2022, 07:58:23 PM
So, various reasons came in this season transfer market where it seems that Real Madrid still haven't given up after their first offer was rejected by Mbappe. I'm sure if a second offer comes in this season Mbappe will immediately turn it down again  Grin
Of course that would be very annoying, but I don't think Real Madrid would be willing to spend €180 million on a player even if Mbappe was deemed fit to deliver something bigger than Benzema.

After the World Cup, Mbappe's market value has increased and I'm sure PSG won't let him go anytime soon. There is a possibility that Mbappe will move and try to consider a suitable offer when he only has one year of his contract at PSG, or rather the next 2 seasons, and now he can still stay at PSG for several seasons. I hope one day he will become a Real Madrid player.
1737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 23, 2022, 07:38:20 PM
I sincerely do not think so, i know Newcastle currently occupy third position in the League standings, and that's an amazing feat they have been able to achieve, but mind you that it's just 14/15 games played in the League thus far, with so many more games yet to be played. There are quite a lot of strong teams vying to finish in the top four position, these teams are far stronger than Newcastle and i think they will knock Newcastle out of the top four spot, at best Newcastle might finish 5th and qualify for the Europa League, but to get a CL ticket for next season seems too much for them to achieve. There is the big 6 in the league which is: City, Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs, the top four would definitely be made up of four teams from the big 6.
I might agree with your view of Newcastle at the moment. They are in good form to be in the top 3 in 15 games but there are 23 games left before the season ends which is a long and challenging road for Newcastle. I think the Champions League ticket will only be owned by the big 4 teams including Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham, but if Newcastle are consistent then it is always possible to see surprises.

Newcastle's main target this season is to win a number of match and get lots of points and play well. Regardless of how they end the season, it seems too early to predict. But the fact is that Newcastle has improved a lot.
1738  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which kind of situation will force you to sell? on: December 23, 2022, 07:31:12 PM
In any case, as long as I need money urgently and I don't have the option to make a loan, then of course I will sell a few percent of my holdings. Is this a problem? No, and I don't think so.

The main think is that all of us need money and in turn we may need to consider selling investment assets when we need it. As long as it doesn't sell on the dips, then I guess it's safe to sell some of it. But if at the same time my portfolio value drops, then I might need to consider other options. I have a few grams of gold, it could be my top choice instead of selling bitcoin on dips.
1739  Other / Off-topic / Re: Has your budget for gambling been affected by the festive season? on: December 23, 2022, 07:20:18 PM
For people who have a strict budget for gambling, I would like to know if your budget for gambling has reduced, or if it remains the same?
The past may be different, but throughout this year especially in the last 6 months my gambling budget has dropped. I put it down because my focus is on investing, it's not because of any particular celebration or holiday.

But in the past, my gambling budget was erratic. I could have spent a lot more, or maybe no more than $100 depending on how lucky I was to double my capital to get a win. For sure we get the win, so that will also help for some time.
1740  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to avoid future losses in crypto on: December 23, 2022, 06:49:24 PM
How can you trade, then? How can you create orders and wait for them to get filled?
Somehow I really want to laugh at this question, but I can think of something.
The scenario is to make a deposit - buy - withdraw funds to the wallet - wait for the desired price to be reached - make another deposit - sell them - withdraw funds again. And so on. Grin

Basically the recommendation not to keep funds on the exchange is for those who do not trade with their assets. I mean they are investors or long term holders who still rely on a centralized exchange as a repository of assets. If they are traders, then to some extent they can keep their assets on the exchange at their own risk.
