1721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DEfi Hype Trends! This is not something you expect, go before you get stuck FOMO on: August 14, 2020, 08:40:02 PM
I don't think many projects that change their focus to DeFi actually end up gaining much traction.

Not too many people are stupid enough to invest in a dead horse with a new name. I mean, I don't know anybody that stupid.

I'd personally stick to the tried and tested DeFi projects for stability, such as Aave and Compound.

There's a few good up and comers like Chromia, Orion Protocol, Meridian Network (LOCK) etc, which actually have good uses cases and/or tokenomics.

NEVER BUY REBRANDED OR REHASHED COINS UNLESS YOU PLAN TO FLIP THEM QUICK.

❤️😍Do u like windice?
🔥Let's vote - that's your choice what kind of game we will launch next.⭐️
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Every voice matters!🙌🏻

Maybe you should launch something like 3D minesweeper.

Everybody wants games with a long play session, you could put a large minimum bet size on it to account for the game duration.

Like something similar to Crypto.Games minesweeper, but with a third dimension added.
1723  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trader made 89% profit in minutes. Have anyone experienced it..? on: August 14, 2020, 08:03:38 PM
Great read.

This guy just took arbitrage to the next level.

I think that it only works when there is a sufficiently large gap between stablecoins prices. In this case, there was an almost 10% gap between USDC and USDT—this is almost unheard of.

He then multiplied that difference up by borrowing on leverage, and pocketed the difference.

Before other people start thinking they'll get rich by doing the same. They would have to be on the lookout 24/7 for this, or at least set up some alerts.
1724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What about XRP now? on: August 14, 2020, 06:10:46 PM
Hey all crypto loving guys,
What is your thinking about XRP now? Many of people think positive about Xrp (Ripple). And it was almost great all over crypto coin.

XRP is already in the top five by market capitalization (top three actually)... Where could it possibly go from here?

You would be crazy to think it could knock Ethereum out of 2nd place or Bitcoin out of 1st, it just isn't going to happy.

It's still down more than 90% since it's all-time high, and is currently down more than any of the other top three cryptos relative to ATH.

If you're looking for absolute profitability, stay away from the top 10s (except maybe Chainlink).

Looking for smaller cap assets that can appreciate for rapidly—particularly those in the DeFi niche.
1725  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ Crypto.Games ⭐ 0.8% House Edge on Dice ⭐ Largest wagering contest...ever ⭐ on: August 14, 2020, 03:57:58 PM
Is it different from a usual poker? I am only curious.

In a normal poker game, you are playing against players but in video poker you will be playing against the house. There isnt any slight difference on how to win the game compared with a normal poker game, basically you need to get the best possible combination out of the first 5 cards that was dealt to you.

You could either hold those 5 cards if the combinations are good enough to win or simply get another new 5 cards or you just hold few card of your choice and let the other cards be replaced. Thats all though , you probably would only need less than 30 seconds to get accustomed to the video poker if you understand how normal poker works

Tens or better means anything below 1 pair of Tens lose
Jacks or better means anything below 1 pair of Jacks lose

1726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Belgian Jupiler league 20/21 on: August 14, 2020, 02:25:49 PM
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but if a previous thread of this sports league had no discussion or activity for over two years, then it is unlikely that your thread would continue to remain active.

But I really hope I am wrong. Personally out of all the teams in this division, I have only heard about Beerschot in the past. I think that is a big reason why this league is not followed widely because it has no star clubs like ManU or ManC.

Let's see how they do against Waregem 1 on Sat.
1727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 on: August 14, 2020, 11:52:21 AM
If you ask me the quest for the first female president of USA is looking stronger than ever. Kamala Harris is a real candidate with some real influence and I think she stands a great chance to win. The only other person I am rooting for is Andrew M. Yang.

If you want to compare stats, you can do so on their wiki pages for their campaigns.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kamala_Harris_2020_presidential_campaign
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Yang_2020_presidential_campaign

In terms of policies, I think Andrews' are better. FFS HE'S GIVING AWAY FREE MONEY! Only Americans can be dumb enough to not elect either of these 2 as their presidents.
1728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Regulations in online Gambling sites on: August 14, 2020, 11:06:01 AM
Any kind site that would require you to prove you can lose a certain amount of money would eventually have direct or indirect indication of your finances. If such a site ever got hacked then your credentials would be leaked. Typically that might not be a problem but in this case, your financial strength could be used to attack you in the future.

The policy that they are talking about, in that other thread, was proposed by a foundation called Social Market Foundation, they themselves have a shady history when it comes to who funds them. It's just a shitty policy by a hypocritical foundation if you ask me.

I don't think we'll see any major crackdown on crypto casinos, since they don't want the tax deductions people would need to get if they lose money.
1729  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 💜— Ethereum gas explained on: August 13, 2020, 08:43:16 PM
lol with gas fee sky rocketing again I bet this thread is becoming more popular than ever!
I just did a small $300 transaction and ended up auto paying nearly $22 in gas fee. That's ridiculous and frankly, the worst thing about Ethereum.

Do you know what Ethereum gas is? Huh

Along with Bitcoin, Ethereum helped to spearhead the development of blockchain technology.
Within its network, Ether, its base currency, is what’s used for transaction fees called Gas.

Want to know more? Have a read here: Ethereum gas explained.
Wow. Amazing article from Bitcasino.io. Thank you for it!

I'd contribute with my thread ETH/ERC20 - Check and select good Gas price and hope that there are some points can be helpful. Gas price on Ethereum network now is crazy.

That's a good article dude but let's face it, this gas thing of ETH is something that was always speculated to bloat one day. I remember when eth touched $1k, even then we had the same problem. And there was the whole CryptoKitties episode. Until 2.0 is released we're just going to have to deal with high gas prices.
1730  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: pubkey decompression on: August 13, 2020, 07:37:57 PM
Here's a quote from an old thread that you might find useful.

Hi,
I'd like to know if there is a formula to calculate the two possible values of Y from X
I use a library that needs them, and I don't really want to modify it
Actually it's very simple.

y2 = x3+ ax2 + b
so we need to perform square root to recover y from x. And it turns out that
sqrt(a) = a(q+1)/4

Now you just have to pick either the positive or negative solution. If the y that you calculated is even, and the first byte of the key is even, then use this value, otherwise, use the negative value which is q-y.

EDIT: relevant code I wrote as a patch for bitaddress.org
Code:

ec.CurveFp.prototype.decompressPoint = function(yOdd, X) {
    if(this.q.mod(BigInteger.valueOf(4)).equals(BigInteger.valueOf(3))) {
        // y^2 = x^3 + ax^2 + b, so we need to perform sqrt to recover y
        var ySquared = X.multiply(X.square().add(this.a)).add(this.b);

        // sqrt(a) = a^((q+1)/4) if q = 3 mod 4
        var Y = ySquared.x.modPow(this.q.add(BigInteger.ONE).divide(BigInteger.valueOf(4)), this.q);

        if(Y.testBit(0) !== yOdd) {
            Y = this.q.subtract(Y);
        }

        return new ec.PointFp(this, X, this.fromBigInteger(Y));
    }
    else {
        // only implement sqrt for q = 3 mod 4
        return null;
    }
};

// for now, work with hex strings because they're easier in JS
ec.CurveFp.prototype.decodePointHex = function (s) {
    switch (parseInt(s.substr(0, 2), 16)) { // first byte
    case 0:
        return this.infinity;
    case 2:
        return this.decompressPoint(false, this.fromBigInteger(new BigInteger(s.substr(2), 16)));
    case 3:
        return this.decompressPoint(true, this.fromBigInteger(new BigInteger(s.substr(2), 16)));
    case 4:
    case 6:
    case 7:
        var len = (s.length - 2) / 2;
        var xHex = s.substr(2, len);
        var yHex = s.substr(len + 2, len);

        return new ec.PointFp(this,
                              this.fromBigInteger(new BigInteger(xHex, 16)),
                              this.fromBigInteger(new BigInteger(yHex, 16)));

    default: // unsupported
        return null;
    }
};

There is nothing more to add to this thread apart from all the nice explanations you have here.

But I would suggest you to read this thread on Stackoverflow where the exact question is asked.

1732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it worth paying to advertise your ref link? on: August 13, 2020, 05:04:07 PM
Since you have mentioned that you are pertaining advertising casino referral link, and you have focused with Asia, I think it is worth to try paying for such advertisement. After all Asia is the largest continent in the world and has the populous country in the world. It would be really beneficial to do some affiliate marketing especially if done with having large audience to be informed.

Now that would depend upon the mission and vision of the casino company.
If the organization are really looking forward to be in the industry in the long run, then yes it is definitely worth it.
However, if this is just done for the sake of having players for the time being, then this is just a useless cost.

You are right. As long as the original Casino company is paying its affiliates well then you will make quite a decent amount of money if you keep referring them new customers. Although you would be not rolling in dough if you were focusing on only one good casino. You need to work with multiples.

Sites like Askgamblers.com do a fair job of ranking various referral and affiliate programs from different Casinos. Go check them out.
1733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is This Site Legit? on: August 13, 2020, 04:21:07 PM
In this niche, it is incredibly hard to find neutral sites that really "ranks" gambling websites. They just take the money and advertise.

A fun fact to note is that most legitimate sites that grow from small to big often start out by accepting payments in return for favorable reviews. This cryptogamblingnews, is no different. Other similar sites like bookmakers, cryptocompare, blockonomi were all riding the same boat, before switching to more legitimate sources of income.

I'd say take everything you read there with a gain of salt, and you can be almost certain that the casinos with the highest rankings paid for their position.
1734  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Decentralized website on: August 13, 2020, 03:59:25 PM
This is a bad idea. Imagine if you have a functioning website, and it's successful. AND it has visitors. All it would take for someone to screw with you is to get your current version of the website with your customer data and create a spoof website, by essentially forking you.

Which is why I wouldn't recommend you to do this. Just my opinion.

There are already similar things going on with Steem and Hive, but you generally find that the quality of content there isn't great, so it's rarely anybody's main source of information.
1735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UNISWAP MADNESS on: August 12, 2020, 10:57:51 PM
Regulations...... What ICO regulations? Most ICOs from 2017/2018 are completely dead now.

These Uniswap gems are just like an accelerated version. Get in and out quick, and fully prepare yourself to either win big or go broke.

Most of the really successful Uniswap projects aren't half-assed projects though, they're actually high potential and have transitioned to more popular exchange platforms.

Still 95% of the shit that gets listed on Uniswap is garbage. Newbies should stay away if they don't want to lose all their money.

1737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum's biggest contender? on: August 12, 2020, 08:35:40 PM
I do think that ethereum is already one of the best, but like you metioned cardano might be a competition. Another competitor for Ethereum might be NEO, which is a chinese based platform.

People are growing increasingly aware of Chinese products and boycotting them out of ethical concerns. Let's face it, China is shit crazy and neo-authoritarian (yes that's a thing).

ETH might be big but Azure (Microsoft), Amazon, IBM all have their own blockchain platforms that are growing in features by the day. And I literally mean that. Another big name is Hyperledger. From the legit crypto world the better names that pop up in my head are Corda and Quorum.

It's still going to take a while before anything steals Ethereum's crown though—if ever.
1738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Stable coin is the Best for Investment This Year on: August 12, 2020, 05:04:33 PM
Lmao, imagine creating an article about which stablecoin is the best, then straight up admitting that your own coin (titan coin) is inferior to Tether.

People only care about liquidity when it comes to cryptocurrencies, so far, Titan Coin has practically none and is highly unlikely to change any time soon.

Do you really think people are going to wait around for Titan Coin to get listed on their favorite exchanges so they can trade it with the pairs they want?

Realistically, that's not going to happy.

I bet that Titan Coin will be an obscure memory by this time next year, just like most newly released stablecoins with nothing new to offer.
1739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vsys 2.0 - The Fermat Smart Contract System ... heard of it yet? on: August 12, 2020, 03:49:38 PM
If I am not mistaken then I think the whole Vcloud feature support was supposed to come by the end of 2019, or am I wrong?

Has Sunny been slacking off on Vsys just like he did on Peercoin? Or is he not even in the scene as far as development is concerned? Also, I'd like to know when you guys would consider updating the roadmap for Vsys on the main website.

I wonder how many developers would actually pick up Vsys after Vcloud release. I hope you do have a dev outreach program.

Not happy with the lack of communication between the executive team and investors right now.
1740  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Netherlands pilot scheme to allow women to play in senior men's team on: August 12, 2020, 10:43:09 AM
Look, with all due respect to Elle Fokkema I just don't think its fair to the women who would be playing with the men. I mean sexual dysmorphia is a thing in human beings. Sure, she might have trained harder, might even be better than some men and might as well be at a messi or ronaldo level. But she would be competing with men that would on avg be twice her size.

Well not Elle Fokkema herself but the future women that might play in the senior category. I can think of a thousand groping incident scandals that could result out of this. Intentional or otherwise. As an experiment, maybe it'd be nice to see this play out but long term I don't think so.

That said, there are some pretty athletic senior men, not sure if women could keep up.
