I am glad you all like the Clint Capela news.
I also felt great when I saw it because he truly deserves it. If this goes well, the Hawks will have a good pair of franchise players. Trae and Clint.
It's not easy to find big men who can play like that.
...
The rockets were going down the path of a complete rebuild, that's why they dumped everyone.
It was a pity to witness what happened to them after spending so much on building around Harden. I think they made a huge mistake when they chose him over CP3.
It was just not for them. The Rockets should try what the New York Knicks did if they cannot find a player that fits what they already have.
Build with a young core with long contracts and try to make something out of it. It's a risk but could also be rewarding if done right.

1722  Economy / Economics / Re: What could make a hacker return stolen $600m crypto on: September 02, 2021, 09:00:08 AM
Maybe he returned it because he cannot withdraw it anyways, his address were flagged already in all exchanges that's why he doesn't have the choice but to return it.  Grin He said he just did it to test the security protocol but I would say he just bluffing and just run out of place because for sure he will be caught eventually.
But he always has a choice to just let it float in the wallet instead, he made an effort to give it back. That's the twist.
If you are a hacker and you are cornered you will just let it go and move on. Maybe come back years after and try if you can salvage something.
IMO, he really wants to prove something. Who knows if he is really part of their team before as white hat hackers but was kicked out and now he tried to look for the flaw and attack it as means of revenge or just so they could realize that he is a loss to their team.
1723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 02, 2021, 07:28:36 AM
^ Yeah, and the only teams that can make Ben stand out is, I don't know how I'm going to call it but "second tier team" right now, those who didn't make the playoffs last year or sort of looking for a franchise player. He can't squeeze himself around to top teams like GSW, no, I don't think it will work it out. Maybe teams that in the borderline playoff bound, but didn't make it by just a game or two. And maybe Ben can be a perfect fit to elevate that team and will be a challenge to him as well and forget his Sixers playoff performance.
Teams like Sacramento Kings maybe? How about the Raptors? What else? Rockets or OKC?
I think Simmons is a leader-type player but because he is still young no one portrays him like that.

Good news for Clint Capela.

Quote
Atlanta Hawks center Clint Capela has agreed on a two-year, $46M extension, sources tell ESPN. He had two years left on his current deal and now is under contract through 2024-2025.
Atlanta Hawks loved him for taking a big leap to Eastern Conference Finals and they are showing the love by extending his contract. This is cool.
Now he has an $82m four-year contract.
1724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Can XRP Achieve $5? on: September 01, 2021, 04:43:03 PM
Yeah, their popularity increased drastically thanks to their case with SEC.
That's also why they lose a lot of investors doubting their service right now. Knowing that, will you still buy? Or you didn't know about that and just trying to hype the price of it for your own gain?
It won't work in this forum anymore, we have knowledge of everything that happens in the crypto industry.
1725  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investors their mind on: September 01, 2021, 10:52:00 AM
Not every day is a lucky day.  Grin
There will always be ups and downs and if you know that deep in your mind then you won't be asking these questions.
Most probably, you are not ready yet to absorb all the losses. We've all been there but with gaining more experience, someday it won't even budge you.

Just keep in mind it is a normal thing to happen, just don't get used to losing more.
1726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Is Nobody Talking About Crypto Staking on: September 01, 2021, 07:13:13 AM
It's because of the risk that you should take and it's not a low one but high risk.
Giving away your coins in exchange for something in return in a slow method doesn't look inviting to anyone.
Most investors would just like to have custody of their coins and keep it away from anyone or anything.

You are in both luck and courageous for what you did but it doesn't mean everyone can take that risk.
Then, you enjoyed your profits which sounds like you are a cool guy but at the end of the day, your coins are still not your property anymore.
Out of curiosity, where did you copy this story?

1727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 01, 2021, 02:49:48 AM
Definitely nonsense. Portland is not letting Dame go until Dame tells them he wants to go. That hasn’t happened yet. The Simmons situation is sad. He turned on his city and is now going to be hated by them. This is getting to be too common, but it is what it is. With him saying he’s not reporting to training camp, he’ll be on another team soon.
Their basis for that rumor is what Dame said in an interview about the need for a championship-caliber team.
But he didn't say he wants a trade. It's a suggestive phrase to make the Trail Blazers management move their ass and surround him with roleplayers.
Good ones, better than last season.

Isn't coach Pop getting interested with Ben Simmons trade or he was just complimenting Ben Simmons for it? Pop said he doesn't care if he can't shoot, he's already an elite player, well, that's the rumor that possibly might happen because if Sixers is just waiting for that Damian Lillard trade, they'll be waiting for ages. They should move on for that false hope.
This is interesting. SASpurs don't have any star on their roster yet except for their young core that they will try to build.
Could this really be a good sign for Ben? I can't find how much cap space is left for the SAS.
1728  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or altcoins on: August 31, 2021, 05:15:25 PM
I always had an easy time selling my altcoins. There is no doubt lingering when I am in the mood to sell them unlike with Bitcoin.
When my wife needs something so expensive but it is a necessity and I have to sell my Bitcoin for it, I have to think like 100 times before I can decide.
I guess that can explain how Bitcoin is still holding despite a bear market. There is always the pressure to sell it because of its possibility to pump again in the short run.

Before (2015-2017) it was easier to handle the buy and sell method of alt to BTC. Now, I wouldn't even dare to touch that field anymore.
I would rather use stablecoins if I want to profit from the volatility of any coin.
1729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESPN into a betting deal worth 3 billion dollars $$$ on: August 31, 2021, 05:18:25 AM
They are going to pull problems if they will try to scratch the surface of cryptocurrencies. Legality.
Disney shares went up because of this news and that says a lot.

It was September 2020 when DraftKings and ESPN had an agreement as a link out for gambling, that's why we keep on seeing advertisements of the said gambling site a lot of times.
DraftKings and ESPN Enter into Co-Exclusive Content Integration Agreement
I think they witness the increase in profits and now they want in. Are they really out of options for new things or is it greed?
1730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 30, 2021, 05:21:19 PM
...Larry Nance Jr. publicly thanked Cleveland saying he wanted to leave the Cavs to play for a team with greater ambitions in the short term.
He's right on that one. It looks like Cavs has no clear direction now.

Goodluck to him playing with Dame and the rest of the team. He could compliment the key players with his high energy. Dame could limit his shooting near half court and just start passing the ball to him hehe.
No, the Cavs are trying to have a direction now that's why they want to buy out Kevin Love but he refused.
So they have no choice but to let Nance Jr. go. Kevin Love is already playing more 5 than a 4. I don't know why but perhaps he is slowing down.
They have Allen as 5, Lauri 5 or 4, Mobley 5, and Osman 4, that's a lot of big guys.
What they need most are shooters and agile small forwards. They have Rubio, Sexton, Garland for 1 and 2 but they still lack outside shooters.

1731  Economy / Economics / Re: The lending problem on: August 30, 2021, 10:52:48 AM
Sounds like it will always end up with how much "trust" is and the banking industry can provide that with money already in their hands that can be paid slowly to the lender.
Third parties, this is why interest is growing when there is more than that.
But I do believe cryptocurrencies cannot overtake that industry. It's just the combined power that will make it better.
Both have their strengths in different services and if only banks will try to adopt it. Humans will still be in control and cryptocurrencies are just tools that need to be used.
1732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 29, 2021, 12:32:21 PM
The Cavs said they’d buy out Kevin Love’s contract and send him to the Lakers to win another championship with LeBron James. Kevin Love basically said thanks but no thanks. Which is a little odd since he was tanking last season… Still, it looks like he’d rather lose and hurt his team then lose his $60 million dollars. Can’t say I blame him.
Update about Kevin Love.
Kevin Love has no interest in negotiating buyout with Cleveland Cavaliers, agent says

Well, they can't force him. $60m is a big deal but the Cavs want to free some space and build a team for their new young roster.
Love though will have little minutes even when paid high with the arrival of Lauri Markkanen.
He is just being wise because if he takes that buyout, there's a high chance no team will sign him or it will just be for a veteran contract.
This is the real world of the NBA when you get old or be prone to injuries, they throw you away.

Love is just 32 years old, he can still prove something for 2 more years with a clean slate of injuries and have a better contract before he retires.

1733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can anyone tell me the true value of NFT? on: August 29, 2021, 03:52:47 AM
We are the same. We don't see art on some things but others do.
I don't know how but that is how unique we are individually so there is no right answer for it.
Even the physical paintings that is worth millions of dollars, I don't understand why they are so valuable.

But there is one NFT art that got my attention. It's the one with lots of images in it and almost microscopic. Maybe it also depends on the taste of each person.
1734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Cryptocurrencies on: August 29, 2021, 02:19:41 AM
I was a long-time user of Ethereum when gambling before but I switched because of the high fees.  Grin
So it was really not about the luck of changing from one coin to another. It's because of the tx fees problems and traffic.
Now, I am using Bitcoin instead so I could say all my profits now are coming from it.
I used LTC before with dice but still no luck so I just save myself the effort of exchanging and forget about the superstitious beliefs and stick with BTC.
1735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 28, 2021, 02:10:06 PM
Which underdog teams will you bet for when the season starts?

Not that these teams are underdogs but I considering an outright bet for the Dallas Mavericks (betting since then for them no matter how good or worst their team is lol) and possibly for the Milwaukee Bucks. Not comfortable placing a bet for favorites when it comes to outright at the early phase of the season.

Currently, Mavericks @27 and Bucks @9.

I will wait for at least 10-15 games for adjustments.
Oh right, outright first. A little sad it's just 19 for the Nuggets.
I wish this will change when the season starts or perhaps before the season ends if they will be ranked at the lower seeds and comes back in the playoffs.
67 for the Bulls and 61 for the Knicks. Whoa! It's a good risky deal.  Grin It's like the firepower they added in their roster was not considered yet.
Hawks and Suns made a big surprise in the previous season. Which team will be the next to disturb the overhyped teams in the rankings?
1736  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you want to quit trading ? on: August 28, 2021, 12:16:55 PM
Yes, and I always like to think it's just normal for all the traders.
Not the "quit" type that you will forget about it for a lifetime. Just some space to rest a bit.
Take your earnings, have a vacation, and just forget the thought of trading for a month or 2.
Maybe that way you will miss it and have the same feeling with your first trade and first profit. It may sound selfish but it must be done. The brain needs to be refreshed to function properly at the time you want to be back to the game.

1737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dead Coins on: August 28, 2021, 07:10:39 AM
Will you really put effort into it?
If you want, then there's a solution. Create a dummy account. Send all the trash coins to that account but you will be spending gas fees for this.
If it's under BEP-20 then I might do it, but if its under ERC20 (Ethereum Chain) will you waste that valuable coin just for gas? Think about it. Twice.
It's just a waste of time and money. Let it be. I know some of us wish for a clean wallet but it's on you if you want to pay for cleanliness.
1738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 28, 2021, 03:49:45 AM
Which underdog teams will you bet for when the season starts?
The favorites will still be the same, Lakers, Bucks, Nets, Clippers, Suns, Jazz, and 76ers.
So whenever they play against Warriors, Bulls, Nuggets, and Knicks teams mentioned above will be the favorites.
At the first 10 games of the league, you might want to bet for these underdogs.
Warriors - Klay back and Wiggins showcased his true performance during the play-in. The consistency though should stay.
Bulls - The biggest overhaul in their roster. DeRozan and Vucevic addition will be the key factor.
Nuggets - Murray back?
Knicks - Because of how they surprised us last season.
Atlanta Hawks may become an underdog too even if they fought at ECF.
1739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling control on: August 27, 2021, 04:28:55 PM
Why are most questions in these gambling discussion boards are being repeated?
I think I have seen the same question before and got deleted. Now, here it is again.
Does the signature campaign of OP require them to post new threads to gain their payments?
Let's get real. This ain't healthy anymore if we are like defective tapes repeating the same answers from the same questions that were just input in a different thread and jumbled phrase.
1740  Economy / Economics / Re: The reason to hodl bitcoin on: August 27, 2021, 09:51:19 AM
I am still hoping the price will not just be the reason for anyone to hodl it.
Assets had been the first reason, it's the same as holding gold as they said.
But it's a currency in the end, no matter how we put it. My wish is to use it with my everyday needs and with us early adopters hoarding more we could see value in it. At least once in this lifetime, I want to see changes in the way we transact things. I see merchants already started it but the real wide adoption is still not seen.
