I received an update from Alpha Technology that they are expecting to ship our scrypt miner by the end of Q2.  I also read that BFL is predicting their liquid cooled miners to experience as much as a 50% increase in hashrate over what was stated, with deliveries expected to begin at the end of next month.  CoinTerra is expecting to ship our miner at the end of next month as well.  Exciting times are once again on the horizon.

Total is 0.13 BTC?

Did you send 0.124?

I made that statement after I received a random 0.124 BTC payment I couldn't identify the source of.

I'm not angry and I didn't need a tip.  I just wanted to explain my position after being accused of being unresponsive, which was not the case.

In any event, a HAPPY ENDING as I have donated the gracious tip from KWH to the Bitcoin Foundation.

You advertise 1%. I paid over 3%. 0.12 + 1% =0.1212, I sent 0.124. If there was any shortage it wasn't intentional. No big deal to me, refunded and all is well. Thank you for your time.

For the sake of my reputation, here is the PM that I sent you when you asked about using my escrow services.  I don't quote PMs, but since I'm quoting myself I'll make an exception.  Good luck with this deal and I'm sorry for whatever the misunderstanding was with my involvement.

For a deal that small you'd be better off choosing someone else as an escrow agent. I charge a 0.01 minimum fee and that would be a ridiculous % to pay for an escrow fee on this deal.

Purchasing the Corsair HX 850 using escrow through OgNasty and I am paying the fees. Seller please confirm.

Comfirmed =]
Funds sent to OgNasty and he has your payment address. Please wait on his confirmation.

Of course. I will try my hardest to get the PSU shipped out when I get home from work today. However, if I can not then it will most definitely be tomorrow.

What's the status of this deal? Buyer requested return of funds.

Hey OgNasty,

You were taking a little long so we were going to proceed with the deal without you. Though now that you responded he may want to continue with the escrow...I am not sure. Either way I am shipping it to him first thing tomorrow so whether or not he wants to escrow through you is up to him.

Thanks!

I was taking long?  The buyer already sent the funds and you made no effort to contact me.  I was waiting to release the BTC and would have never heard from you if I didn't find this thread and post asking for an update.  He also shorted my escrow fee.  Blaming me for a lack of service when I sent multiple PM communications for a $3 fee which I am now refunding (paying the tx fee out of pocket) is a little low...

I just received the requested PM to refund, and will do so now (less than 10 minute response time from seller confirming to refund).

Our Viper 25MH/s Scrypt Miner has been ordered and we are confirmed to be in Batch 1 with shipping currently scheduled in Q2/Q3.  Funds to secure this pre-order came from what remained of our alt coin sales.

Would you consider trying middlecoin.com, hashco.ws, or switchercoin.com with that beast?

It's a little early to speculate on how we will be mining with it.  I'll keep our options open.
17207  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | NASTY POOL on: January 04, 2014, 03:32:00 PM
Is only the 30% covered with alt coins, or the total value?

Only the 30% has been paid so far.  We still have ~0.5 BTC and ~$2,000 left from the alt coin proceeds.  This will most likely not cover the entire remaining amount for the scrypt miner when it comes due, but we have already started rebuilding our alt coin stash for this purpose.

This was posted today by Butterfly Labs.  Sounds as if they may begin shipping Monarchs very shortly...

17211  Economy / Collectibles / Re: NASTY MINING presents... 1oz .999 Silver Physical NastyFans Seat Coins! on: December 30, 2013, 02:51:26 AM
See below quote from nonnakip.  The payout threshold for these coins has been set at 0.001 BTC.  Nastyfans.org has also been updated so that you can now monitor the amount held below the threshold.

nastyfans web interface updated. On home page you see donations held by nastyfans for online and minted seats. I will improve it later to show individual minted seats.

I talk with OgNasty about minted seat payout threshold. Together we decide that a fixed threshold of 0.001 BTC will allow frequent payouts and avoid dust.

Do you have the rest of liquid equipment to use it? Pumps etc

You are quite the pessimist.  While I admit I haven't read much into it, CoinTerra's design has me assuming that the liquid cooled system will be completely internal and wouldn't require the purchase of additional pumps/radiators/hoses, etc...  If they do indeed require additional equipment, I have quite a bit of experience assembling and running liquid cooled GPUs.  We also won't have an issue purchasing any required equipment if it does come to that, which I believe it will not.

EDIT: No.  Wink

I may be a bit behind here...  But I did stumble across this gem on the BFL forums last night.  If this does indeed turn out to be the case, 10 of our 11 next-gen miners will have liquid cooling!

the plan is for everyone that has a current pre-order, you will be upgraded to the water cooled version of the Monarch for free to compensate for the slight delay.
17214  Economy / Collectibles / Re: NASTY MINING presents... 1oz .999 Silver Physical NastyFans Seat Coins! on: December 27, 2013, 06:39:03 PM
I just paid, can't wait to have one in my hand!

Do I also get one NastyFans 1g .999 Fine Silver Collector's Rounds (2013)?
Didn't quite understand, I'm too sick to think properly atm :-(

Come back and let us know what you think once you've received your coin.  Smiley

The 1g silver collector's rounds (both the 2013 & 2014 coins) are no longer free, but if you would like them, send me a PM and I can include them with your order for a very small fee.
17215  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Amagi Metals - Best Prices of Gold, Silver, & Platinum for Bitcoins on: December 25, 2013, 08:14:59 AM
I would agree that Amagi takes forever to ship products.  I've ordered dozens of times from them for personal and business reasons with several being large orders.  While I wish their communication and delivery times were better, they have ALWAYS come thru.  Occasionally, they send part of an order when the entire order isn't available.  Just today I received one of my several outstanding orders, which ironically included a gold Canadian Maple.
17216  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | NASTY POOL on: December 24, 2013, 06:54:32 PM
Emphasis: Proceed with caution! Smiley

Do you have any reason to believe the company is not legitimate?  I've been following them for months now, and have found no red flags.
17217  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | NASTY POOL on: December 23, 2013, 11:19:55 PM
$200/month seems low to me. Are you using a switching pool (multipool/hascows/middlecoin)? They've been running around twice the output value of just mining LTC recently. The latter two pay out in BTC so you don't need to worry about a bunch of altcoin dust.

We are running our own P2pool LTC node.  The $200 figure factored in electricity.  Probably seems low because of how much less efficient GPUs are.  Wink
17218  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | NASTY POOL on: December 23, 2013, 10:50:03 PM
I can't power and cool 75MH/s worth of GPUs. It isn't realistic.

That's pretty extreme.  How about expanding the current GPU capacity a bit? If nothing else they seem to hold their value. I have some 6870s that I've been running for 3 years and not only are they still mining but they still have a bit of resale value! Who knows maybe a good primecoin (or some other coin) GPU miner will come to light and even if (and more importantly when) scrypt moves to ASICs, the GPUs can mine that, or otherwise liquidate them.

GPUs don't make sense no matter what the circumstance.  They use too much power.  When our next-gen stuff starts showing up we will need that electrical capacity for what will really bring in the coin.  Not to mention I think scrypt ASICs are probably 4-5 months away and will render all GPUs obsolete.  For a regular person that isn't such a big deal because they can just sell them on eBay.  However, that would present numerous issues for us and selling GPUs on this forum for any kind of fair value will be nearly impossible at that point.  The risk reward is just not there.  For example, our scrypt rig is only bringing in ~$200 profit per month right now using ~1,300 watts of power and that profit amount has been dropping rapidly (keep in mind all electricity is paid out of my pocket).  In contrast, one of our BFL Singles uses ~400 watts of power and brings in ~$450 per month.  I just can't justify going GPU for any reason looking at those numbers with BTC mining using old equipment still being more than 7x as profitable per watt.
17219  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | NASTY POOL on: December 23, 2013, 08:24:47 PM
Why not purchase scrypt hardware along side of BTC???  My 360GH of ASIC is getting close to useless... mean while my 75MH of GPU is killing it.

I check every single morning to see if scrypt ASICs are available for order yet. We are scrypt mining away with 1.6MH/s now, but I can't power and cool 75MH/s worth of GPUs. It isn't realistic.
17220  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [SELL] Selling 10BTC Silver Casascius coin, VERY RARE on: December 23, 2013, 08:07:42 PM
the silver one may be more rare, but the one with the gold b is more desirable. most people would choose the gold b version simply because it looks better.

I disagree.  I think the all silver one is more rare, more desirable, & better looking.  I own both and would part with my gold b version long before the all silver.  Wink
