I was planning to wait for an LTC ASIC to become available, but I think we could have enough funds to place an order with Black Arrow and still be able to afford an LTC ASIC without taking on any more debt.  Thoughts?

Are we that close to an LTC ASIC? Last I read we were still quite far off due to being too expensive? Could you tell more? Smiley

I have 30 GH coming later this week that will go on the pool. Not a lot but its something...

A bit delayed but 20 GH of that is on the pool now. I have another 70 GH on the way.

Last night I was getting a really high reject rate, but today I'm not. Anything changed?

EDIT: Spoke too soon, got a bunch of rejects after that. I'm running around 50% rejects. Is that normal?

Code:
 1            | 20.34/20.95/ 9.67Gh/s | A:5 R:6+0( 53%) HW:16/.88%

That is definitely not normal. Are you using the latest cgminer or bfgminer? Have you tried restarting your miner?

where are the real pics? these are all 3d renderings. we need some real life bling

Check the second post.   Wink

Here is a new one showing the bump:

I'm not going to pretend the pictures are good, or even decent.  Once they start arriving in the hands of Fans, I'm sure some better pics will be made available.  My apologies for that.

Thats one sexy hologram!

I would also like to say that DobZombie was instrumental in the designing of the hologram and very patient with my requests.  Thanks Dob!

I've decided on using a combination of materials to help secure the private key, while also making sure to cause no ill effects to the silver.  The end result is a more secure coin, with a circular bump beneath the middle of the hologram.  I made sure to cut the circle to fit nicely beneath the circle in the middle of the hologram design, so it gives it a 3D look with a secure feel.  Final coins have begun being produced, with 4 coins now totally finished.

What does the 1g pool coin look like?

The 2 free 1g coins Black Friday offer is no longer valid, but here is the 1g Nasty Pool Coin render as requested.

Are you sure you aren't violating this?

If you know what you are doing, good on ya, but just figured I'd say something in case you missed it.

Ouch!  You're right.  I did miss that.  Doh!  I retract this offer.

All the information I know I've read on their site.

I have an order for 10 Prospero X-1 100GH/s Miners from Black Arrow.  10 is the minimum, so I figured I would offer some folks the chance to buy just 1 of these units.

If you would like to buy one from me, I am selling them with shipping included inside the US only.  I will receive the units, and ship them directly to you.

More info on the Prospero X-1 here: http://www.blackarrowsoftware.com/store/prospero-x-1.html

PM me to arrange a payment address.

I'm not sure what Nasty's rate is but it's likely higher than .09 but lower than .9

I pay a $0.05-$0.15 variable rate depending on the time of day.

I really like the look of the hologram!

Thank you.  The graphic I used for it to be made was highly detailed and the most favorite artwork I think I've ever had made.  It shows the NastyFans/NASTY MINING/Nasty Pool logos as well as the 3 separate coins.  I wish I could post it so you could see the detail and awesomeness that is the hologram, but I fear that might be a security concern.

With BFL possibly delayed and CoinTerra not having shipped their first batch yet, I am getting a bit antsy.  I was hoping that KnC would have allowed us to order their next get rig, but by refusing to take orders from new customers, that puts us in a wait for the end of the line with them.  For that reason, I'm considering placing an order for this:
http://www.blackarrowsoftware.com/store/prospero-x-3.html

I've cashed out our alt coins and donated around 1/2 the funds to our holdings address to help repay debt.  The other 1/2 I currently have sitting in USD.  I was planning to wait for an LTC ASIC to become available, but I think we could have enough funds to place an order with Black Arrow and still be able to afford an LTC ASIC without taking on any more debt.  Thoughts?

If there is dispute about minted seat ownership the voting rights for that seat are suspended and I will fix a appropriate payout threshold for that seat.

You could resolve this by having the coin sent to you with ownership information and a return address.

I think there are many possibilities to resolve disputes. The policy only concerned about president rights to suspend voting rights. This is a important tool until disputes are resolved.

I actually don't think there are many other possibilities, if the intent is that the seats can be transferred physically by transferring the coin, and the rest would be similar such as having a trusted local representative verify possession of the coin. The only other way would be to pull the seal, which is obviously undesirable.

If the intent is that ownership of the seats not be transferred by physically transferring the coins, that should be explained clearly to coin owners/buyers.

He who holds the coin owns it.  They can be transferred as easy as handing them to someone else.  The only issue is if people buy them second hand and want to control the vote of the coin on future polls.  In that case, we have to be notified.  I'd recommend buying the coin directly from NastyFans.org if you care to control the vote, or make sure the original coin buyer lets us know the coin has been transferred.  It really isn't something you need to be concerned with.

Just curious, I noticed that BFL Josh posted an update about the Foundry delaying the first batch of chips. Josh said that customers have been notified, therefore I'm wondering if you were notified?

https://forums.butterflylabs.com/announcements/4414-monarch-information.html

I think discussions about BFL is a sore spot for many, many forum members.

Sorry - didn't mean to upset anyone. The fact is that we ordered more products from them and I just wanted to find out if we had been included in the "first customers" notification that BFL Josh "said" went out.  Just as an indication of whether we made it in the bullet run or not..

No, I received no notification, which is disturbing.  Looking around the forum, I can't seem to find anyone who did receive a notification...

What's the timeline for shipping the initial orders?

It depends on a last minute decision I'm in the process of making.  Right now I am testing different light diffusing plastics to see which will provide the most security from light tampering techniques.  Once I have made a final decision (waiting on a few more samples to test), I will rush the order and start engraving coins like a madman.  I am going to do everything in my power to get these out before Christmas.  If anyone who orders their coin today does not have it in hand by the end of the year, I will consider my timeline as a failure.

Would you send these to the UK?

Yes.  If you place an international order, please send 0.02 BTC to the address in my signature as a tip.

That's a spiffy looking coin.

Thank you.  The coin designer would tell you I was extremely picky about it. Smiley
17257  Economy / Collectibles / Re: NASTY MINING presents... 1oz Silver Physical NastyFans Seats! on: December 04, 2013, 08:22:30 AM
Damn it if this was announced sooner I would haven't spent all my paycheck on Friday/cyber monday Sad and like heck am I selling my seats to buy the coin.

*Devils advocate*...In fact if I'm a seat holder I'm not sure what the advantage of having this coin is.

I dropped as many hints as I could in the NASTY MINING | NASTY POOL thread.

I'd say the advantage is that you can hold them in your hand.  Being innovative and limited also makes them collectible.

COIN REVIEWS:

the coin is absolutely beautiful!   Love the detail on it and the hologram as well!

Definitely the most interesting piece in my silver stack.
they are fantastic!
pictures don't do it justice... The minting on the face of the coin picks up the minute details of the design wonderfully...and the holographic reverse displays a beautiful psychedelic composition.
What a beautiful coin. I am so proud, I'm bursting.  Cheesy

17258  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 7970 w/ noisy ball bearings for BTC/LTC/NMC or NF Seats on: December 04, 2013, 12:35:51 AM
Try oiling or if you don't have any oil, WD-40-ing the bearings. It will likely save the fan, it did with my 5770.

I'm sure you're right.  I just don't need this operating.  I have other 7970s.  I'd RMA it if I had the time to waste.

I can't accept 0.18 BTC.

EDIT: Highest offer at the moment is 0.26 0.27 BTC.  I would accept 0.29 BTC.

Good luck on your legal fight, friend.
17260  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin may now level off... on: December 03, 2013, 10:06:39 PM
OP makes excellent points.  I've raised them in the past myself.  Bitcoin has already sold itself as a "whole" Bitcoin, with all the fancy "coin" images on every new story and the fact that it wasn't changed to mBTC sooner.  All news pricing is in whole Bitcoins.  People don't want to buy fractions of something.  They are not stupid.

Actually they are stupid, if they weren't they would understand that this is a non-issue.

+1

If you think Bitcoin should be affordable as a whole unit and used the world over with a supply of 21 million, you are clearly not thinking things through very well.
