1741  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Government Really Ban Crypto? on: February 04, 2022, 03:06:45 AM
They might control it partially but they will never be able to ban the crypto. Not in this universe for sure. After celebreties and entrepreneurs getting involved into crypto at spectacular levels I don’t think government can do anything about it. I’m mentioning the former names because these are the elite group who are the supporters of electoral funds and campaign promoters. These billionaires and government would never go against each other.

Moreover, what to say about crypto. It’s free, publicly available so no they can’t really ban it.
1742  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Huge crypto scam that happened last year(2021) on: February 03, 2022, 04:38:52 PM
Oh my those are some real shit that happened earlier. All of them are related to famous stuff at the time for example squid game series inspiration is just out of the box. On the course this was supposed to happen because there is no other world than crypto where investors and new comers can be easily scammed. People are coming here in the greed of making some money but eventually they get trapped in something like you mentioned above.

Grim reality is that, these scams will never stop. Even same cases happening with the NFT these days. Many artists are tired of irony that is caused due to scam artworks etc.
1743  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Remember Bitfinex Exchange Hack of 2016 ? The stolen bitcoins are moving! on: February 03, 2022, 01:55:24 PM
Not sure what the dude's going to do though, as the choices are pretty limited. He can't really sell it for fiat, so he's pretty much stuck with moving from wallet to wallet, or probably mixing/coinjoin the coins. Not sure if you can even coinjoin that much coins with success.

Yeah, mixing does not seem to be an option. Even if he start to use the mixing services then the mixer will be on the radar and they would start questioning them. It’s amazing though how police workforce traced out the initial transfer and caught one of the hacker. I mean that’s what the articles states and the options are really limited for the other guys too. It’s like they did the stealing by throwing the whole bomb in the public place. Lolz.

Money Heist kinda stuff but it’s not a series, it’s real world stealing so be it.
1744  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man who lost 7500 bitcoin in a landfill asks gov't he wants to dig it up on: February 03, 2022, 01:15:30 PM
I am not sure what he is really up to?

Do we really think that a hard disk from late 2013’s still be there just lying for his owner to get hands on! I barely doubt that he will find it. The cost of whole digging up would be one thing and his claim of 70 mln is another, just wondering what even if he finds it and unable to restore the data on it?

Imagine the nature’s fury from 2013 till today; the ice, rain, mud and pressure and what not.

Who thinks that it’s still gonna be in at least poor condition to dig it up and run smoothly ?

It’s not worth it.
1745  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Remember Bitfinex Exchange Hack of 2016 ? The stolen bitcoins are moving! on: February 03, 2022, 11:14:51 AM
In the recent news it is published that the bitcoins which were hacked out of Bitfinex Exchanger were sitting in a wallet. The same wallet is now accessed by the hacker and there is movement of bitcoins to another anonymous wallet.

The amount of bitcoin which is moved have been recorded to $ 2.5 billion that is 64,000 plus bitcoins. I am amused with the number of bitcoin that were moved. This has been done over twenty different transactions and have been marked as alerted address.

The sad thing is this is just half of the amount which hacker stole earlier that is 12,000 120,000 bitcoins.

The complete news can be read here:

1746  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: With the prosperity comes big price! NFT market faces consequences. on: February 03, 2022, 10:44:00 AM
The irony of the whole NFT world is that it is pretty much worthless.

Some collections like the Bored Ape Yacht Club have grown so valuable that they are larger than companies like Harley Davidson...  Imagine still thinking that NFTs are worthless.  I get that to some people you can't grasp the innovation and think it's about pictures.  It isn't.  If you think it is, you have a lot of learning to do and should probably focus on education rather than spitting disinformation.  NFTs are the first mainstream use case for crypto I've seen and I don't think they're going away.  I actually think that toxic maximalism is going to lead a lot of people to miss out on massive opportunities, like the Bored Ape Yacht Club, thinking they're just pictures.  They aren't.

Exactly. If the market would have been worthless then I think millions of dollars wouldn’t have been credited in the NFT just like that. I don’t expect that everyone should learn about NFT or understand the values of it but they should apply little bit logic that if it’s getting valued then there is someone who is liking it and paying for the same. We live in democratic world so i believe everyone has the right to say their thoughts but they should be logical too.
I have been following up NFT articles around the internet and it seems that NFT is flourishing in many corners of world.
1747  Economy / Economics / Re: China considering the use of Blockchain Technology on: February 02, 2022, 02:58:10 PM
It's just nothing but China exploring more and more ways to further tighten their grip unto their people; and having increased surveillance over the money is definitely one of them. It's going to be a typical centralized platform, but on steroids.

Rolled laughing. :-)

China is just country with uncertainty and without any open visions for the rest of world. We would never understand their methods as they will always work in confidence. It’s good but it’s hampering to their own populations because the decisions are always strict and most of the time not in favour with them. The mix of dictators and presidential influence is not successful in china anyways.

First they block the mining, use of crypto and now they are exploring use case of blockchain.

It’s a fortune cookie joke. Smiley
1748  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Bulls Are Coming Back Soon, Are You Ready To Ride? on: February 02, 2022, 01:53:50 PM
Breakthrough happens in crypto market all the time. Without fail there is always bull after bear and vice versa. We have seen this cycle since way long now. So yup if you have spare money then let it go into the crypto market without fail and await your profits grow ahead.
It’s not an advice though, it’s just the way crypto world works. Moreover, imagine the volume that’s being pulled into bitcoin comes from the whales only. They are the one who know proper entrance to the market and proper exit strategies. Hope that those who always missed the train won’t do it again.
1749  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ESTCube (Estonian Student Satellite Foundation) to send one bitcoin to space on: February 02, 2022, 09:11:09 AM
I am not much thoughtful logic in this project. I think this race of putting the coins on moon like DOGE, BTC is just something out of enthusiasm!

What’s the significance of this? Is it just to showcase the world that it exist or is it the way investors are getting attracted and that’s why it’s being done.

I mean I would have been happy if they said BITCOIN or DOGE Will be transacted from space to earth and from earth back to the space (moon). To show the real case use of the same.

Then you can call bitcoin to the moon.
1750  Economy / Economics / Re: (Crazy HIGH Taxes) Inside California’s Black Market Weed Boom on: February 02, 2022, 08:40:21 AM
Oh my lord, if you just checkout the video then you will see a graph of allowed and prohibited areas in the county. Man almost 70% of it has allowed markings and I’m still not getting it why do they need to be growing it illegally. That’s funny. May be it’s the greed of earning money that always boost or motivate humans to go out of the way and illegal stuff.

The taxes are there to control the over-consumption of the weed. It’s for those who does not really need it since they simply can’t afford it with high taxes.

That’s bad though, they are not able to control market.
1751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of the NFTs on: February 02, 2022, 06:03:34 AM
I am just loving the way NFT are working. Just now had post about how street artists are getting their arts on the blockchain by using NFT. The so called murals are getting photo copied from the buildings and walls around the states and being uploaded over blockchain as NFT asset.

This is huge leap in the market of street artistry. Who would have ever imagined that these arts which we used to see on the street while Walking and talking are now real digital assets being priced and preserved.

So yup NFT is doing great job.

1752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Street Art Being Minted on Blockchain - NFT Makes Murals Digital on: February 02, 2022, 03:22:21 AM
Refreshing and Charming to read this news regarding Non-Fungible Tokens. The other side of the crypto is making huge progress when 6 artists (named in article) saw the huge potential in Street Artists and how the Murals that are painted on the wall are made and destroyed over the time. They heartfelt that these artistic murals are destroyed over the time and why not just ti digitalise them with the help of NFT and imprint them forever on the Blockchain.

The whole idea is so realistic now that these artists are now able to Transfer the Murals in digital form and give them NFT status.

Quote
It isn't uncommon for street art to have a short lifespan, but this was different. Destruction was always part of the Murals to the Metaverse plan, one that turned the ephemerality of street art into a feature rather than a bug. In the days between the creation and obliteration of their works, the artists did something unusual: Every mural was scanned and turned into a 3D model of itself. Each was then enhanced using augmented reality. For nearly two weeks, the group led AR tours of the space, letting some 300 people share in the immersive experience. Once they were destroyed, the murals were minted on the blockchain as NFTs and now live on digitally. “Buildings can crumble, weather can cause damage, and developments can impede views,” explains artist Rachel Wolfe-Goldsmith, aka Wolfe Pack, who spearheaded the project. “By scanning a mural and turning it into an NFT, we forever immortalize the art.”

The importance is felt by those people who never got the value for their arts anytime in the past. All they used to do is paint their imaginations as form of Murals on the buildings. Over the time obviously these used to get destroyed naturally or by themselves since no one ever cared about it.

With the NFT emerging into the market, things have now turned upside down for these street artist.

Quote
“Street art is perhaps the most undervalued and underserved niche in the art sector,” says cofounder and CEO Marco Calamassi, “but at the same time is the most creative, most disruptive one, where the artist has the most freedom of speech, the most freedom of message.”

Do read the whole article. They have portrayed it in amazing way. The NFT is real blessings;

what do you think?

1753  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 40,785 Bitcoins transferred away from Exchangers. on: February 01, 2022, 06:29:02 PM
Oh so this news is not as exciting as it should have been in the current bearish market. I thought so by number of coins too and also by the fact that the news does not really state whether it’s being withdrawn / moved by the exchanger or is it really some bulls making the cold storage readiness.

Moreover, since the number of bitcoins is in thousands there is nothing to get excited about. If someday they say millions of bitcoins are being locked up then it would have some impact on demand and supply formula. That would cause wavy reaction in the market.
1754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / 40,785 Bitcoins transferred away from Exchangers. on: February 01, 2022, 04:58:32 PM
Though I am not sure if the news is firmly true or not but article news does say it that way. It claims that one of the tweet from @santimentfeed stated this. The analysis says the highest number of bitcoins that were first moved was in 2nd week of September.

The last week that is January last 7 days was showing heavy movement of bitcoins out of Exchanger.

This means the bitcoins were getting moved into cold storage. This could form huge resistance or backbone for the current bearish trend and thus stopping further liquidation of the bitcoin prices.

I am not pretty sure considering millions of bitcoins on the market, does 40,785 bitcoins gonna make any difference? (May be at some point but not much is it??)

40,785 BTC Transferred as Bitcoin Reaches $39,000, A Historically Strong Sign for Price

The tweet quote

Quote
👍 40,785 $BTC were moved away from exchanges in the past week. This was the highest week of #Bitcoin exchange outflow since the 2nd week of September. The continued trend of coins moving to cold wallets is historically good for long-term price movements.
1755  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin White Paper - Now available in 40 Languages on: January 31, 2022, 08:34:58 AM
Good to share that recently bitcoin white paper which was originally published by Satoshi Nakomoto; continues to be translated in different languages throughout the world.

I think this is effort of developers or different nations to publish the bitcoin through this paper and let everyone understand the principle behind the Bitcoins working.

Recently, Nepali language have been used to translate the paper however sadly that nation is against the crypto currency. Amid this scenario, Dahal the translator and crypto enthusiast from the state expects that Nepal will accept the transactions soon after conditions are right.

Quote
The Bitcoin whitepaper published by anonymous author Satoshi Nakamoto continues to be available in different languages as community members strive to spread the document’s contents to the masses.
As of January 30, 2022, the whitepaper had been translated into 40 languages with Nepali becoming the latest addition. The translation uploaded on the Bitcoin.org website was done by two cryptocurrency enthusiasts Krishna Dahal and Bibek Koirala.

What do you think about this?

Does it really matters if Bitcoin Whitepaper is available in different languages ?

1756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / With the prosperity comes big price! NFT market faces consequences. on: January 30, 2022, 03:01:37 PM
As we know that Non Fungible Token is leading the market currently and according to the sources last year NFT market alone made or reached to whopping $22 billion market cap. This achievement is very quick and profitable for any sort of project until now in the crypto space.

However, as the NFT market is growing its roots, the branches are getting chopped off for its fruits by throwing the stones & pebbles on it.

What I mean is, one of the article is claiming that NFT market is facing huge challenges in scam world where NFT are getting stole and are being sold as fraud ownership titles.

This has given world wide shock throughout the NFT world and according to the Guardian we are loosing almost 4 million NFT into fraud every week. That’s huge amount.

Quote
DeviantArt has sent 90,000 alerts about possible fraud to thousands of their users since then, company executives said. It’s now scanning for fraud across 4m newly minted NFTs each week. The number of alerts doubled from October to November, and grew by 300% from November to mid-December.
In December, bots began attacking the site, Moti Levy, DeviantArt’s chief operations officer said, scraping whole galleries of artists’ works. The pieces would later appear on NFT marketplaces, often with artists’ names and watermarks still attached.
The attacks have focused on DeviantArt’s most popular artists, measured by likes and comments, Levy said, rather than any particular aesthetic.
“Bots are bots,” he said.

Even with open sea the same problem is becoming proactive. Most of the market in NFT is constituted by OpenSea platform. As they are the biggest market players and NFT listers most of the fraud and hacks is happening on this platform only.

As per the opensea they claim following stuff:

Quote
One huge mess of theft and fraud and inauthenticity’

The current reporting process for artists whose stolen work is turned into NFTs is confusing and laborious, confirmed Ashli Weiss, a Silicon Valley lawyer who specializes in intellectual property and works with blockchain companies, adding that there is currently little incentive for OpenSea and other marketplaces to fix the problem. “OpenSea is getting paid with each transaction.”
OpenSea disputed the view that it did not have an incentive to tackle art theft and plagiarism: “For more people to join OpenSea or other Web3 communities, these issues must be addressed head-on,” a spokesperson said.
More than half of the company’s current staff works either full-time or extensively on issues of plagiarism and content moderation, OpenSea said, and it is developing “smart moderation” tools to speed up the company’s response to reports of plagiarism.
But the company also defended some of the policies that artists would like to change as essential to its mission. While some artists would like to see a crackdown on bots, creating hundreds or thousands of NFTs at one time is normal for the space, OpenSea said, noting that there are 10,000 “Bored Apes” and more than 8,000 “Pudgy Penguins”, two of the most prominent and commercially successful NFT collections.

Let us just hope that this new blooming market will get rid off such frauds.

When there is prosperity there always gonna be money involved and with this scammers will get attracted as the bees attracting to flowers.

The Grayscale Bitcoin Trust is a digital currency investment product that individual investors can buy and sell in their own brokerage accounts.

I think as corporate giant any company could become number one by using others money in their trust fund. As everyone already discussed about this, here is another complete review of Grayscale trust.

What is Microstrategy planning? I know that Elon Musk loves going the route of perpetually Bullish with bouts of scary FUD whenever he is planning to buy more, at least when it comes to dogecoin, which has a smaller market cap and is therefore much easier to manipulate. I would love to know how long term this bitcoin hording strategy of Microstrategy will be...

With any luck Microstrategy might even prove itself a gift for hodlers everywhere and a steady pillar against whale manipulations.

I don’t think they are planning anything here, they are just being strongest players in the crypto world. They definitely love bitcoin and know it’s value.

Imagine bitcoin value reaching million dollar, booom Michael  is gonna go crazy.

So they planning to be ahead of everyone and want to be RICH fish around the globe.
1758  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / MicroStrategy positioned #1 BTC holder, Tesla still at #2nd! on: January 29, 2022, 05:32:31 PM
This is surprising that most of the bitcoin tranche is bought by MicroStrategy amid the thing that Tesla is all showing they are the one selling their products in the form of digital payments.

I believe that this is because of Tesla CEO Elon focusing more on the DOGE payments and his so called vision of cutting down bitcoin carbon emission (still in talks). Due to this they lost most of the bitcoin last year and could be one of the reason for #2 position.

Quote
The biggest corporate bitcoin holder is the Virginia-based business intelligence software maker MicroStrategy, according to a database from the crypto analytics firm CoinGecko. The $3.6-billion company owns 121,044 bitcoin, a crypto horde roughly 2.5 times larger than its nearest contender, Tesla. MicroStrategy’s bitcoin is now worth roughly $4.4 billion—which is about 25% more than the company’s market capitalization.

If you read the linked article then you will find that most of the gaming, photo editing and companies which are software based are heavily investing in the crypto market and being the mega players of BITCOIN only.

A good read for those who love to see world wide distribution of bitcoin by companies format and sector.

1760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / YouTube CEO to start thinking about NFT merger. on: January 26, 2022, 04:53:24 PM
With another news coming up from NFT world, now YouTube is also thinking straight about it. They want to create or somehow reward their creators with the NFT now. Since this market is booming a lot now it gonna go more crazier with YouTube CEO making the announcement on the same.

A short quote on what YouTube CEO said:

Quote
“We’re always focused on expanding the YouTube ecosystem to help creators capitalize on emerging technologies, including things like NFTs, while continuing to strengthen and enhance the experiences creators and fans have on YouTube," wrote YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki in a letter on the company’s 2022 priorities.

Apart from this the article also states that Twitter and Reddit also on to the upgrade and synching up with NFT world.

Seems even stronger days coming for the crypto world as whole.
