1741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it a sin to gamble? on: December 14, 2017, 07:44:26 PM
Church sometimes are hypocrite, they tell us believers that gambling is a sin but then they host a lottery event for us to buy ticket and hope to win the prize.  If we follow what this churches said that gambling is a sin then they are urging their follower to commit a sin since buying raffle ticket in a lottery is considered a gambling.  Anyway, I have not found in a Christian  scripture that gambling is a sin, so I believe gambling isn't a sin unless proven that it is written on the holy scripture.

If you refer to the bible then yes it is a sin however we dont know what is a sin and what is not only based on that. There are alot of religions and even if you are sinner, you are going to make sure that you repay what you did in the afterlife. That kind of thing dont bother me but for some people it is going to be bad for them if they do some sin
1742  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to spot a gambler addicted? on: December 14, 2017, 07:40:51 PM
They will always try to play, even though their money is gone. Not even a few gambling addicts, selling the stuff they have just to go back to gambling. I often see the addicts to sell mobile phones, motorcycles, and the worst of them is sell the house.

An addicted gambler are those who keep on saying that they will stop when they lose but they keep on coming back. This kind of gambler is not the one that can be trusted, I dont say that they are bad people but rather that they cant be trusted with money. It is a hard truth when you cant even keep the words of yourself in gambling
1743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can trading be considered as gambling?? on: December 14, 2017, 02:30:37 PM
but  mostly 85% chances of lossing in games.

85 % is just a small number and I think that it is more than 95 %. We wont win most of the time so the number doesnt matter at all right, If we tink that we can win then we will win but we cant that means itis only made for us to lose some money. If we are losing some money in the process of making money than that is not way of our lives should , thats what separate between trading and gambling
1744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To Gamble or To Invest? on: December 14, 2017, 01:11:26 PM
Both have risk so you can expect you will win or lose, choose whatever you feel you have a chance to be successful, gambling is just too risky and we know we do not have an edge playing it so better focus on investing if you have the patience to wait for a longer period. There is a big difference between the two actually, some people want instant money so they choose gambling, while some people who have a decent capital choose the better one, which is investing.

Some people dont like investing because it is the same as waiting for their money and there is a risk of losing that money as well. Sometimes the best thing that they want to do is to gamble with all their money and hope they win. Thats why people dont want to sit their money in an investment for quite some time if they can use it to gamble
1745  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to control greed on gambling? on: December 14, 2017, 09:53:07 AM
I beg to disagree, there are people who can control themselves when it comes to gambling, from betting, and quitting.  Though I can say there is only few but at least not all who play gamble cannot control themselves.  I have seen people who stop whenever time for their break is up and continue with their work.  Other can quit when they are winning and can left the table anytime they wanted.  It really needs a lot of discipline but when mind is determined there i no one can stop it.

Those people have gone through alot just to make sure that they are able to control themselves. It wont be easy to control ourselves when we have not gone through alot of things. To change we need to know what is wrong with us and if we havent really experienced it yet then there is no way that we are going to know how to control it

Greediness is such a bad thing, a bad attitude for an individual to possess because if we do not get contented on a certain things then we will end up aiming for more and we will never be happy, gambling is a game where there is a money as a reward but with our greediness, it's like we are pushing ourselves to disaster because we will never gonna win in the long due to the house edge the casino have.
- Although it is a bad thing but we can not throw it away, it is part of us and really, we need to have it, if we are too easily satisfied with life, we will not be able to make breakthroughs and greater development in life. The greed for development in life is good but greed to make money in gambling is a thing too wrong because gambling is not created to make money, it was created for entertainment, our greed is not in the right place, it will cause the opposite effect. And the fact that greed can not be controlled, we can only limit by setting limits but it is only in the short term, gradually it will be meaningless, greed will be stronger when we gambled, so it is best to give up gambling soon

We can control our own greed and Im good with controlling my own greed. I cant say the same to you but ths is just a proof to you that say greed is not something that can be controlled. Some people are different and Im sure that alot of us here are addicted to gamble but that doesnt mean we are going to just let greed take over ourselves
1746  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The best way to quit gambling for good on: December 13, 2017, 07:08:51 PM

I think we should not reach that situation, losing a huge amount in gambling could affect a lot and it might ruin our good relationship with our family.
Gambling is known to be risky but only for people who are not responsible enough, but when you experience addiction all you need to do is to accept you are weak and you have a problem so you will be able to find solution to quit as early as possible.

I believe a person does not need to experience heavy loses to stop gambling for good.  I think it is on a person decision and how determine he is to control himself from gambling.  Though I admit, losing a huge amount of money might be a good reason but to others it is another reason to gambling again (chasing losses).  But at the end it is on the person's determination and decision if he wanted to stop gambling or continue it.

It's all about mind. So, the way to quit gambling or to control our emotion on gambling will be different. Some people can take others experiences as a way to control their game, while the other people tend to use their own experiences as guideline. I am the one who lose a lot from gambling in the past and nowadays I am afraid to repeat it again.
Mind does really matter on these kind of situation on where we can actually control such thing if we do really like too but there are really factors which would really influence and make our actions be different on what we are thinking which means strong discipline and control would be needed on these kind of scenarios. If we do mean on quitting gambling then we can do it easily. If our mind are really eager to do such thing then quitting wont really be a problem.

If we want to quit then set from small things, we cant keep on playing for sure but to quit and leave everything must be hard that is why we set from the small thing. The first thing that we can do is to set our mind to only play for fun, that means we dont need to really try to win anymore because basically it is only just for fun purposes
1747  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can gambling help you with your life? on: December 13, 2017, 07:07:28 PM
The only way it could help you with your life is if you win money to get yourself out of some financial trouble, but if you gamble to attempt to do this then you're a fool. Gambling should be just done for fun like any other leisure activity. Always set your limits and play with a budget or a bankroll that you don't go over. If you can spend say $100 dollars on alcohol a month or maybe $50 on Cinema tickets then apply the same budgets to gambling and you'll likely not get into trouble. It's when people chase their loses and the high of winning that they end up in trouble. IF you set a budget and bankroll and do it just for fun then you should be fine and it can be a very enjoyable activity.

Actually when we are only playing for fun, we dont need to set up limit because we know that it is for fun so we will be only using a small amount. It is different from those that set their eyes for profit. If they do so then they will most likely try to use higher amount to win. That is helping our life to actually know the limit of what we should and shouldnt do
1748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: December 13, 2017, 12:54:30 PM
Yah gambling really is so addicting because of you are already hooked to it, it’s hard to stay away from it, because if you win, you will be addicted to keep on betting, aiming to gain more, if you lose also, you will strive to recover your loses, its hard to stop after loses too, that’s already the attitude of a real addict in gambling

It is hard but it is not impossible. Sometimes people keep saying that it is impossible to get away from this but trust me, I have been there and I have get out of there so I dont think that it is an impossible thing to do. When we thing that it is possible, then that means we are going to make it with our own way and get out of it

1750  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does experience matter in gambling? on: December 13, 2017, 12:44:31 PM
In my opinion, it does matter because you can use your experiences on the previous games you have played to win like what not to do and what to do, you learned everything from your winnings streaks and so are your loses
The experience I think is important not just for gambling but any thing because if we have an experience we will stay away from our defeat or mistake
Experience is really a big matter in our life, its like our foundation. An example of gambling that needs experience is playing with cards. This game needs a skill, and we all know that before you get the skill you need some.experience in it. In life, as the years is passing by we experience different kinds of problems and because we survive with all the struggles in life, we become more stronger. So in gambling, experience is really a big factor.

That kind of thing is not the same compared with experience from gambling. It does not make you any stronger but atleast it makes you know when is the right time to quit. If you feel that it is the time to quit but you cant quit that means you lack the experience to know what is the best time for you to quit because this kind of things need experience

1752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The best way to quit gambling for good on: December 13, 2017, 10:45:54 AM
Find something to replace your gambling. Exercise, go shopping, go out with friends. You can also watch movie, listen to some music, or do some reading — do whatever it takes to keep yourself busy. You could pick up a new, exciting hobby, like bike racing or climbing.

These can be helpful as you must need to divert your attention and just focus on these and little by little you'll find yourself clinging on these.
However, experiencing a huge loss is also best way to quit, when an individual will suffer a huge loss like he can almost loss his family or  his life savings because of gambling then it must be a wake up call for him. That gambling without control can just give you nothingness so quit the unhealthy thing.

It is the fastest way to quit if you experience huge loss. There is no other better way than this because most people will call it the end when they have lose everything. The same thing happened to me and that is what made me change as well. When we have experienced something that made us suffer, that is the breaking point for us to quit
1753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to control greed on gambling? on: December 13, 2017, 09:14:24 AM
The only way I found out to control one's greed in gamble is not to play at all. When we all gamble, we all have the same issue, and that is we don't know when to stop.

Either decide a prefixed amount of your profit and loss, and stop when you have hit either of the boundaries. For this you need to have a very solid and stable mental state, else you'll keep on playing either to increase your winnings, or to win back what you have lost. In both the cases in the longer run, you'll be at harm.

This always happens to be in Poker, even when I am in 10x profit, I don't stop playing and eventually loose it all.

That is always going to happen if you dont change your habit. Thats what happened to me and I have ever won until 1 bitcoin when the price is less than $500. Thats probably the highest that I have ever got from just 0.1 bitcoin deposit, then greed was what made me to continue therefore I lose everything including what I have deposit so far
1754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do we need to gamble? on: December 13, 2017, 07:09:39 AM
i gamble because i found joy while i am playing or gamble it is one of my outlet to release my stress win or lose i don't mind it as long as i play..most people in my place are gambler so i don't mind also if someone sees me playing because im a woman.

Thats fine with me if you truly feel like that because that is what I feel as well. People that dont play for fun wont understand this because all they know is when they are playing, they want to make money. As long as we are having fun then it doesnt matter at all, the main purpose of gambling should be having fun because making profit is almost impossible
1755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When to leave the game? on: December 12, 2017, 07:40:57 PM
When I was a newbie in gambling I always play until I got bust because I stopping is not in my vocabulary but after a couple of moths playing dice and realized that it's been routinary when I play I win around 3x-10x of my balance then get bust so what I did is just set balance I would play which once bust then no deposits on same day anymore and if I win enough for cash out I stop and go back the day after.

That is just so weird according to me . You just say that you keep winning and you dont deposit anymore. That is just so impossible because most people will lose and that is a fact . Everyone will lose and there is nothing that we can do about it. Im quite sure that you are losing as well but you dont write that and you just say you leave when you win enough
1756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: December 08, 2017, 07:43:17 AM
Some people really hate losing and it's one of the top reason why it makes a person addicted to it. The bigger their losses, the more addictive they would be in gambling.

Thats the reason for everyone to keep playing after they lose because the more they lose, it will just make them want to keep playing to get it back. I am the same as well in the past and I ended up losing alot more then what I lose . This taught me a very good lesson to never let my greed get into me or It can be very addicting for us
1757  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible for the bitcoin to lose it's value ? on: December 08, 2017, 07:40:36 AM
this could happen if the number of bitcoin is worthless and bitcoin is going through a tremendous crash, but it seems very unlikely because bitcoin is kept in all countries and all want bitcoin.

It is not a crash because it is back up now, check the chart here https://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/bitfinex/btcusd. The chart shows that the recovery period for bitcoin after taking crash is shorter and shorter evertime that means it is possible that $15,000 is not the limit by the end of the year and it could be way more than this
1758  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel shameful for being a gambler? on: December 08, 2017, 07:27:00 AM
I have played really a lot, for several years. Just for fun, pleasure (noble passion!) and after also for an economic gain.
For several months I created/updated a thread on forum, with some suggestions and "explanation" of certain type of bets.

At the end, I have already told about it: after the closure of betfair.com in my Country, I haven't played for a while.
Now, after DirectBet have closed their operation, It's about 11 months I don't gamble on sports bet Smiley !!!

After XX years of gambling Cheesy (yep really a lot) I can just say that Gambling is a drug: but you can become immune if you understand WHY you play and HOW you can optimize the fun and eventually the wins.

Maybe the best trick, it's really easy... Just play an amount that you are ready to lose, and never play too much Wink because gambling could be really hard as bad habit Sad

Play with a mindset of having fun and dont play with the intention of getting alot money or trying to be rich. If we keep playing with intention of trying to be rich then we will keep losing more. In the end It is better to just play for fun with small amount, in that sense you wont make yourself looks like a fool even if you just keep losing money
1759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to play gambling in a smart way? on: December 08, 2017, 07:23:20 AM
There are pointers on how to play gambling in a smart way and one of the best pointer is play with your free money. Following this pointer will make you gamble and have fun at the same time.  It will not affect your family negatively and will always save you from being broke.  Most gambler failed to practice this kind of stuff and get broke since they spend all their money in gamlbing.

No pointer will ever make us gamble smartly because the only thing that is smart is not to gamble. If we gamble and we lose then that is not smart at all. It is better to just invest our money in a gambling website that is smart . If we are still playing for profit even with all those pointers , I dont see how that is called as gambling in smart way
1760  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To Gamble or To Invest? on: December 08, 2017, 06:06:31 AM
If we have a lot of money then that is the best thing to do, investing in a casino's bankroll is profitable but we need to be serious with the
amount that we put as it's necessary to wait for a longer period of time to see your real profit.

Even if we only have small amount of money , it is better to start investing. Investment doesnt need to be huge because the bigger your investment is that means the bigger the risk as well. You can get alot more and you can lose alot more, that i just simple. Money is not supposed to be spend in a gambling website that is for sure
