1741  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin UP: bitcoin is awesome; Down: bitcoin is shit and fraud on: September 14, 2017, 02:01:07 PM
I think theres a bigger people behind here. People that manipulates the market in theer hands. I smell some politics in here. How can we sure if the news is true? All of these speculations and fluctuation becomes more and more untrusted and cant control. Hope all the sources of news will have a proof. Journalism is that they call it?  Cry

the "news" is what i call "exaggerated" news. of course that is ignoring all the obvious FUD that has been accompanying this.

and it is actually very similar to start of this year when China started their investigation. when they first issued their warning to exchanges and closed down the big 3 Chinese exchanges for a couple of months. by that time the same pattern was repeated too.
1742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BCC on: September 14, 2017, 01:40:01 PM
bcc that is bitcoin cash -
it is best to always call any altcoin by their full name, it is confusing sometimes because people may not know what your are talking about. and you should try to put some clearer subject than just "BCC" in your title.

Quote
is there any chance to get more pumpimg of this alt coin?
at first it was more than 1000 usd.
anytime it can be up? any good idea or links?
yes there is. but it will take time.
pumping of small altcoins don't need anything, a pump group can easily pump them in less than 8 hours and be done with it.
but when they become bigger it also becomes harder to pump them. specially something like BCC which has certain groups behind it. it needs some news or some kind of push. the pump can not start out of nowhere.

we saw the first big pump was because of its difficulty adjustment and how it became (temporarily) more profitable to mine it.

the future time can be the SegWit2x drama on the horizons. it is best to keep your eyes open for the news before even thinking about an investment.
1743  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stable altcoins? on: September 14, 2017, 01:27:41 PM
an stable altcoin is as useless as tits on a nun!

by definition an altcoin aka a cryptocurrency is supposed to be a currency, a decentralized one. i don't know of any cryptocurrency apart from bitcoin and a tiny bit litecoin to be used as a currency for real. (i am not talking about those that pretend it). so it doesn't matter if it is stable or not. if it really were used as a currency then stability was a great perk.

with the currency part null, the only usage is as for trading and making profit. and stability is making that null and void. we are all looking for profit, even those who are not admitting it.
1744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [s]No exchanges closing in China - just regulation[/s] on: September 14, 2017, 01:17:37 PM
first of all bitcoin and altcoins are not illegal or banned or anything in China.

secondly trading these are not banned either. the Chinese government even explicitly said they have no issue with OTC trading of cryptocurrencies.

finally i agree that they just want a stricter control and regulations over these exchanges which are truly handling large amounts of money.
to put simply if you had a potato selling shop and you were handling millions of CNY every day, the government would have come down on you the same way.
1745  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin UP: bitcoin is awesome; Down: bitcoin is shit and fraud on: September 14, 2017, 01:10:52 PM
am i the only one noticing this pattern?

when bitcoin price was rising in other words during the rally which lasted long enough, all the news was about praising bitcoin. bitcoin was even the headline and on the first page of major financial news papers! there was talking of how great bitcoin is and how it will go to large prices that we never even dreamed of!!!

and when the tide turns and the inevitable drop occurs the news turns with it! i actually find it very interesting how many negative news i am seeing these days. news of people calling bitcoin "fraud", calling it bubble, dying even, people who are now saying bitcoin will never be adopted (as if they never heard of Japan for example). and lots more.
1746  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price is crashed again on: September 14, 2017, 01:03:53 PM
The news are finally official,

to be fair the "news" was that China has banned bitcoin which has never been true. they have closed exchanges which have been doing illegal stuff as earlier this year we clearly saw it.
they tried regulating them but apparently they have failed to do so. they probably try to do more regulation of exchanges though.

and also they have never said trading bitcoin is banned or anything.
1747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Trading, stockpiling or ICO on: September 12, 2017, 11:38:49 AM
this is a bad strategy with 100 GBP in my opinion.
you have to either increase your amount across those exchanges and different altcoins or bring all in one place and focus on trading one altcoin at a time. you can use some altcoin to withdraw for smaller fees. like using LTC for example: buy LTC on all exchanges except the one you want to really trade at, transfer all that LTC to that exchange and sell for bitcoin. now start trading with all the 100 GBP worth of bitcoin.

i wouldn't choose either a or b or c! just focus on 1 or 2 coins at a time and trade them: buy low, sell high and keep the profit there to invest in next.
turn 100 to 120 then 150 and so on until you reach a big amount.

Bitcoin is open-source; its design is public, nobody owns or controls Bitcoin and everyone can take part.

I always say: Bitcoin can be controlled by Media.

shouting (making your text big and red) does not make it more true!

the fact is, any asset in the whole world is affected by "news" and news comes from the "media". the effects are different based on the news and the asset. but the effect is inevitable.
with bitcoin, there are far more idiots investors than any other asset. that is why the swings are also bigger. but also there are a lot of opportunists who will gladly take their coins out of their hands under market price.

you can not really call this "control".
1749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Exchange or wallet? on: September 12, 2017, 11:22:22 AM
when it comes to altcoins and holding them on exchanges as your wallet it is not question of "safe or unsafe" for me. it is the important matter of convenience. and because of that i always prefer to hold them on exchanges.
this way i don't have to download wallets that may even contain malware, or bugs, and also waste a lot of my resources (storage and bandwidth).
besides i convert them back to bitcoin soon enough so there is no point in paying transaction fees twice.
1750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH+POS=security? on: September 12, 2017, 11:15:18 AM
SEC will never categorize ETH and its like under any usual category ever. because of their premine, their ICO and all the shady stuff that is going on inside them. ETH is unregulated too.

and also the only reason why they are switching to PoS is to make more money! the rewards are biggest for the biggest share holders. and guess who holds the most Wink
1751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Digibyte Comeback!? on: September 12, 2017, 11:09:37 AM
hello together,

unfortunately i bought some digibyte, when the hype was very big for a high price. what do you think, should i hold them? Is it coming back, because i actually like the project, and i think the team is trying their best! Undecided

i like a lot of projects too but that doesn't mean i should keep holding the coins even if they are dropping hard.
i am not familiar with DGB that much so i am giving you a general answer maybe it is of use.
whenever you see price of some altcoin you have bought is dropping, specially if you have bought it after a pump and while it was in a bubble, you should always make sure to sell it when it reaches your stop loss limit.

if you really like the project then make sure to buy back at the bottom. that is how you support.
1752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is the Sell off in NEO over?? Is it the right time to buy NEO??? on: September 10, 2017, 08:30:39 AM
NEO is currently at the end of its sell off and its bubble. but also this has coincided with the overall market crash which means all altcoins are dropping in value and NEO is not an exception.

if you want to buy in, they waiting is a better option in my opinion.
1753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What to buy these days? on: September 10, 2017, 08:16:39 AM
it is best not to buy anything these days because of bitcoin price.
the FUD has been causing some big volatility and it is harming the price a little. but the after shock of bitcoin price drop is always bigger in the altcoin market.
buying them can potentially pose a bigger risk of loss these days.

if you could find something that was getting pumped hard irregardless of the general market drop then invest, otherwise i would stay away.
1754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $BTC and $ETH will be dead because of regulation of china. on: September 09, 2017, 11:44:27 AM
$BTC and $ETH will be dead because of regulation of china that delisted or closed exchanges?
- the volume of Chinese exchanges are not even half the volume of USD market in some place like Coinbase!
- BTC has lots of usages, all the shops online and physical shops in the world are accepting it. Japan, Australia, India, Korea, ... widely adopted bitcoin and accepting it as a legal method of payment. other countries like USA, Russia,.... have been accepted bitcoin but are processing the regulation of bitcoin.
- the adoption of investors have been booming in this decentralized cryptocurrency that there is no way of stopping it.
China has no significant effect on bitcoin

ethereum on the other hand is a very different beast.
- ETH is only dependent on smart contracts. it is all it does and nothing more.
- the only usage of smart contracts that people are interested in are ICOs
- ICOs are the only reason why ETH price is even up.
China will have a huge effect on ETH but it still won't kill it since China is not all countries!

NOW PANIC SELL FROM CHINA.
ok, i will just because a random dude on the internet told me so Tongue
1755  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you hold chinese Altcoins, and will you keep holding them? on: September 09, 2017, 11:35:03 AM
This is my summary of the news today. Anyway my question, do you have any chinese coins? And will you hold them?

when you say Chinese altcoins, and if you mean like an altcoin that is deeply rooted in China and essentially is centralized, that simply means that you should not be even thinking about it. that is a centralized altcion not worth even considering let alone investing or holding.
and it doesn't matter what currently is going on in China!
1756  Other / Off-topic / Re: I am getting sick of fucking Chinese idiots on: September 09, 2017, 11:28:06 AM
The market over reaction is insane, lets assume that news was true and china exchanges were no longer allowed to opperate, would that mean bitcoin has 10%+ less value based on that alone?  Maybe it should be something like a 2% drop given the current stage of bitcoin.  While they can keep pulling this stunt they will im sure.

It would probably be closer to 50% less value...  Then there's the fear factor from there and we might easily see $100 btc again.

lol, not in a million years Wink

this time we have a very good example of a similar situation. it is no longer something new. China was completely out of bitcoin market for a couple of months this year and when it started the same FUD about ban and bullshit came out and price went down about 20%. and that is worse case scenario and price was about $1100 at that time.
in the following months before Chinese even came back, the price was already above $2000 then Chinese came back.

if you think price can fall 50% or fall to $100 (which is 97.7%) then you must be high on something Cheesy
1757  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OKCoin issued a statement on: September 09, 2017, 11:21:45 AM
the only thing to remember is that the news is not 100% lie. it is more like a distorted truth that came to us yesterday. the Chinese government has been on the mission to regulate bitcoin and all the related businesses regarding it. including bitcoin and altcoins exchanges.

whenever they say something, it is all about these regulations.

but whenever they say something the media distorts it to a much worse scenario. like yesterday whey they said "...banned bitcoin...".
1758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stock ETH on: September 08, 2017, 11:12:52 AM
Can I stock ETH alt coin from now?
somebody telling that it will be more value after the end of 2017.
It it true? or false?

when someone is telling you to buy some altcoin because it will rise, there is a pretty good chance that altcoin will get dumped and they are bag holders suggesting you to buy!

about ethereum i have to say, there are a lot of things wrong with it which makes its future very difficult to predict.
can there be another pump? yes. it is possible
can there be a huge dump? yes. that is also possible.

ICOs which were keeping ETH price up are no longer as strong and interesting as before. they are attracting less people because of all the scams. also with Chinese banning ICOs things aren't looking good.
of top of it ETH is planning on killing miners at once with the difficulty bomb and that makes people uneasy too.
1759  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best airdrop you ever got (or didnt get) on: September 08, 2017, 11:04:05 AM
ByteBall

and it is not just the value of it, i really liked the project too. it seems so cool with some nice features on it. Byteball is not randomly the 4th highest value coin of all times (it was actually 3rd but Dash got pumped and went above it).

I was hopping to get a decent amount of byteball after I linked a considerable amount of bitcoin addresses in the last airdrop, but I got less than $50 worth of byteball for more than $10000 worth of BTC linked. Honestly it was a waste of time. I don't know if I did something wrong of the rates are this shit at this point of the airdrop.

they changed the airdrop this round.
> less free coins for bitcoin holders
> more free coins for Byteball holders
1760  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is this trading strategy profitable? on: September 08, 2017, 10:56:10 AM
the strategy is to buy low, and low means after it reached bottom not when it is on the way to that bottom.
what you suggest means buying on the way down. and when you set a percentage in mind for all your trades it makes it impossible to be successful because not all drops are the same. sometimes it is a very small drop of 5% and sometimes it is a big drop of 70% and both of these actually happen in real market.

your fixed percentage will be lost in this drops, in first small drop you would never buy and in the second scenario when the drop is big you buy and lost a lot of money.

that is why you should always work and decide case by case basis.
