1741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Doxxed team can help a new gambling platform? on: January 22, 2023, 08:33:07 AM
Hi friends, I am still on the matter of helping a friend who wants to build his own gambling project, the question of the day is about KYC verification, why are popular crypto gambling platforms are not KYC verified themselves? I mean the team behind the online casino why are they not KYC verified and they ask for KYC instead?
It's the question you need to ask who are providing license to them. May be they are KYC verified. There is also the fact of trust too. Normally popular Casinos have already built their trust in the industry, they are paying gamblers for years so no one question the team behind them.

Anyway fast forward to my second question, will a gambling platform be more attractive for users if the team are 100% doxxed?
It surely will be but when you are in crypto it's not always a good idea to public your identity. Crypto is not still officially legal to many country. Law will change and it will effect you. That's the risk.
1742  Other / Meta / Re: Some Newbie ~ Membar got nice rank through pumpkin contest on: January 22, 2023, 08:26:07 AM
But overall what do the numbers look like, how was the merit distribution for all that participated on average?
None does not matter. There are some system loss, some people abused it, they found a way to earn merit but they gave some efforts don't they? Merit is to appreciate the efforts you make to contribute to the forum. It could be by writing good posts, helping someone when they need some information or even just posting a meme which can entertain others.

A spammer will not receive more merit if they do not improve their post quality. Whatever they received they will stuck there forever. In Wall Observer you will see many merit hunters. Before noticing they earn a lot of merit but it does not mean we stop meriting everyone.
1743  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Sell your files for Bitcoins on: January 20, 2023, 06:29:20 PM
Your system scans for viruses etc and that is good but there is no grantee that we will get the product we paid for.

The note that files belong to seller, and we must trust them, makes no sense at all. Anyone can upload a fake file or nothing important at all and once we buy them , we will find out that we have been scammed.

You should provide the escrow Servies and protect the buyers interest otherwise it seems that you are only interested in the commission you get from these sales. Huh
Let's be honest. In themeforest or other marketplace how do we trust the files or products listed there? Let them do how they want to run their business. Over time depending on the service they will provide either they will flourish or they will disappear. I don't see there are anything negative to talk about them right now.

@bnbstorm for your marketing my recommendation will be Royse777 or julerz12. They are one of the few who can do your job well.
1744  Economy / Services / Re: Charity Signature and Avatar Campaign - Auction for ColdKey victims on: January 20, 2023, 05:57:00 PM
Thank you for everyone who want to be a part in this campaign Smiley
I don't think you will receive many interest. It's hard to swallow what yogg did, utterly disgusting but that's between him and the people who trusted his business. If we really need a charity awareness then do it for members who need blessing or even support with money. The situation of yahoo deserves something to show from us. Have a campaign to show love and support for him.

There are many members, right now who need money may be for medical expense, food, shelter including all basic needs. Give them a platform to take help from us.

We lost many members, may be have a wall of fame in their memory to show them love and respect of whatever they earned from the community.

Yogg scammed a group of people. There are many members who are scammed by others. If you think yogg's scam effected people need this awareness then what about those who were scammed by many others? It's not proven, I mean we can not verify but what about julerz12, he seems to be a victim too. Don't you think he needs some support from all of us?

Obviously there will be always some people who will abuse everything you will do.
1745  Other / Meta / Re: Gambling discussion board needs a child board? on: January 20, 2023, 05:39:15 PM
Most of these get trashed or locked if reporting. I'm getting tired of the really stupid ones though: Does your wife/child/dog know you gamble. Do you gamble with your right hand or left? Have you ever gambled on the toilet? Have you ever gambled on an aeroplane? Have you ever gambled on the toilet of an aeroplane etc. I saw there's a thread in there for Miss Universe now.
My dog, wife and child none know I do gamble 😂
I am a right handy. when clicking I do use my right hand sometimes I use my toe of the right foot. What do you conclude LOL
Have you tried gambling when you are having orgasm 😜?
I am always busy flirting with the air hostage but I guess next time I will give it a go.

Most of them are signature spammers. I am guilty of it too, I try my best to reframe myself not looking too odd. When I visit the boards I barely see a topic where I can have a good discussion. No one cares for a discussion there.

Back to OP, I think first we need to take care of the redundant topics of the whole gambling board before doing anything else.
1746  Other / Meta / Re: Binance pays Google Ads with the word "bitcointalk" on: January 20, 2023, 05:23:31 PM
After hustling over 5 minutes with the Google captcha, I finally was able to see a result on my browser (Firefox with TOR connection, Incognito window so safe to say Google had less data about my interest)

Google search results is not plain. It depends on many factors. Your browsing history, personal interest, the place you are living, login and logout state in your gmail and many more. What we are seeing for OP is shown only to him or the group who has similar activity and interest. Others don't necessarily need to see the same result.

Some of the suggestions are interesting, aren't they?
Bounty hunters are at the top even before satoshi LOL.
Chipmixer is not doing bad at all, this must be a huge benefit of advertising the product for long period of time 😉
A lot of people indeed search for Satoshi's first post.
1747  Other / Meta / Re: Know who ignores who on: January 18, 2023, 03:23:02 PM
In some cases, users try to use trust feedback is their tool for their personal notes (I don't want to judge it as personal attacks but it is likely) and I disagree with this use. Even a trust feedback is neutral, if it is unnecessary, it should not exist and should not be abused.  Cheesy
Those who do, it's personal that I came to know lately. It was not the same before. Example: Actmyname.
TryNinja's personal note extension is a great tool to avoid the drama. But they will not use it.
Like how many neutral these days you see not inspired with negative value? The sender can not send a red feedback because it will directly question their trustworthiness so they use the loophole.

Public Ignore list is like Public Trust list of forum users. By default, it is private lists (Ignore and Trust lists) but there are some third party sites make it public (Trust list) like BPIP, Loyceclub and people looked at it to find who distrust them and it is one of reasons for drama.
Trust list was always public and it's fine that way. But ignoring someone was never meant to be public that's why in the system you do not see others ignore list. For the same reason Bot and TryNinja or BPIP can not scrape the data of someone's ignore list.

1748  Other / Meta / Re: How many forum members do you know by real name? on: January 18, 2023, 03:14:46 PM
Over 10 is really a very low number 😉
I know a handful number of users in the forum by their real name (if that's their real name that they said), very few trusted me with their living address.
When you said that the number was low, I thought you would say you know 50 Bitcointak users. Turns out that you know less then 10. Grin A handful to me means 3 or 4, max 5.
I think the meaning depends on your personal expectation. I literally searched on Google just now to find the meaning and it says,
Quote
a small quantity

Since 2015, make it 2016, being regular on Wall Observer and other forums, my expectation was to know many members in person but in a forum like this obviously you realize the quantity many is not going to be 200 or 500. When your minimum expectation was at least over 100 or 200, then anything over 10 or even 20 will sound handful to you 😂

I can not remember many but I can count over 10 easily 😊
1749  Other / Meta / Re: Know who ignores who on: January 18, 2023, 03:03:52 PM
However, I just saw @dkbit98's post about their ignore list.
Although this information is private, he insisted on publishing it. In my view, congratulations are in order, he is a guy who is open to the community.
Jet Cash was the one who started this trend of publicly announcing who he is ignoring. He was basically ignoring merit hunters and spammers. We evolve, and these days the ignore list we see are most out of personal conflicts and dis-likeness. Some feel superior when they announce they are ignoring the person they do not like. I think majority of the drama in the reputation board will reduce when people will stop telling who they are ignoring.

@dkbit98 it was not about your ignore list, please don't think me wrong. I was answering in the general sense.

Did I not publish my ignore list just before the new year and was in an embarrassing interrogation from a user who was on the list? Right now I have none in my list, I don't think anyone will be soon too. If I don't like anyone then I can just skip their posts and read the next one.

Is there any way to find out who ignored us?  Huh
Let's not make it important. If anyone is not responding you then do not call him.

1753  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Auction house looking to add crypto payments on: January 17, 2023, 03:18:44 PM
Any suggestions would be appreciated
Try BTCpay server if you are accepting only Bitcoin. You don't need to pay transaction fees to anyone. A very cheaper option. I have no idea who to suggest if you are going to accept other currency. Coinpayments is definitely not a good option. They are fucking expensive and eat a lot of fees.
1754  Other / Meta / Re: Why the forum keep deleting my old posts? on: January 17, 2023, 02:53:07 PM
If you are receiving PMs about the deleted posts then someone is reporting your posts and mod agree with it. Result is they are deleting the reported posts. If you are not receiving any PM but checking your posts are deleted then it's the topics you left responses. When a topic gets deleted it deletes your responses too but the difference is you do not receive any notification. Someone is reporting the topics here too.

Can a mod verify all my posts and delete all the ones that should be deleted?

I think this is the page you look for the deleted posts/topics.

Hi, this top banner link in thread doesn't work, I get this error —" OFFER_NOT_ACTIVEOFFER_NOT_ACTIVE". It's not big deal, just may give bad impression.

It works fine for me even I am on TOR. May be your internet connection is slow.

Also, do you have any promo code we can use while registering?
When I was registering yesterday, I saw an input field to give promo code, so it exists. May be you need to look for a promo code to redeem. One thing I like about the site is, they do not require your email address. The username given to you is the important piece of information for you. Nice job.

Firstly, you are a cunt. Stealing money from your most ardent early customers is a dog move but I think you know that.
TMAN could give better invitation.

What a shitshow...  Cry
We learn from cradle to the grave. Every day is a new day. Good thing is, for some it was costing only 0.00625 BTC. Not an expensive mistake individually.

I don't know, but I feel gambling on your own casino will never be as intriguing as gambling on a casino you have no control over...

For example, I myself would never enjoy gambling anymore if it happens that I build my own casino and start doing my gamblings there, this is because whether I win or lose money means nothing any more, if for example and gambling on my casino and lost money., I lost the money to myself, which means the lost money is still in my purse, meanwhile, if I win money, I possibly can not pay myself because the money am going to pay myself with is still mine,..
How is it possible that casino owners would even enjoy gambling on their own casino..
You have no idea how a gambling website functions. There are sports providers who provides sports data and controls the bets placed on your site. There are game providers who do the same. They control game data and the bets placed on the games.

As an owner you will lose GGR but since others are gambling and losing on your site, you are always in money to recover your personal lose. When you are gambling with other casinos, you are same as the other customers, but in your own site you are both a customer and host.

4) Hidden in url tag: Hodl!
This one. Is this really worth a topic?

I think the question you should be asking yourself is, would this topic have been made if libert19 was not in a signature campaign?

Meh, if you check my sign campaign rules, that topic doesn't count.

@LoyceV I was creating this topic, was looking for grimace emoji, that wasn't there so felt like asking about it.
What is going on your head? This topic was first, then you have another one, then another one!

If you doubt that your review will be paid, just ignore this thread.  Wink
Ignored LOL

I don't want to bring back my old gambling addiction 😉
1760  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Fryx Finance - An open-source Monero/Bitcoin exchange. on: January 17, 2023, 01:10:02 PM
BitcoinGirl.Club review

I tested both Buy Monero and Sell Monero. The operations were as expected. It took me a whole day to setup the Monero wallet though and then testing the service.

The first impression of the site was very boring. I will discuss about design too on the section. If I was not paid for using the service then may be I skipped the site because of the first look. There are many other currency exchange sites, the design can be improved by taking inspiration from them. For any theme my first preference is Themeforest. You will have enough themes to chose from or to take inspiration.

There are no need of separate menu or pages for buy and sell. The home page will have a section for both buy and sell, fee explaining, FAQ and everything else can be in one page. API can have a separate page or even it can be on the same home page. Only a login/register menu could be in the menu section which will bring a light-box and after submitting the date it will bring the users on the same home page with the information needed for logged in users. You are missing Term and Privacy page. For a business it's the only thing that protect your ass.

The site is not friendly at all. I have no idea how much is my conversion rate. There should be a ticker which will update the conversion rate I am expecting and lock the rate for x amount of time. 5 minutes or 10 minutes. When I am using the input form for the amount of Monero to buy or sell, another label should show me how much I am receiving as the desire currency including the fees that will be taken off. The whole thing should be without submitting date in the server, instant on the client side. Once I am happy then I am supposed to give my receiving address and refunding address. Right now without knowing anything I need to do whole lot of works to find my addresses and then check the next page without knowing if I will be happy with your exchange rate.

Operation wise I felt everything was okay. It did not trigger any error for me. I am not very good at numbers especially when it's working with decimals. When I bought the Monero I did not check how much I am receiving, just sent the amount that I was given to test the system. But when I was selling the received Monero I was able to take a screenshot of the update page (attached below). And the btc amount was showing on the update page was not the same as the btc I received. It was a bit less. The testing was using very small amount but for large amounts I don't know how big the difference can be. Again a converter before doing the conversion will help the users to understand what they give and what they receive.

Overall, operationally the site is working like any other conversion sites, but the entire experience can be improved with more user friendly features. Here is a rating for different criteria I was able to divide. It's in out of 5 scale.
First impression: 2/5
Design: 1/5
User friendliness: 1/5
Operation: 5/5

P.S: One very important step I was missing is to have a tracking code or number or reference to use to restore the session in case I close my current browser while I am waiting for the desire coin to arrive.
