Anti-SPAM Policy:

  • Holes in your posting activity/accounts that woke up after a long period of inactivity.

Just to avoid getting preemptively banned: I've been inactive on Bitcointalk for a while, am I still eligible?

You are. I'm pretty sure that rule is only for members like for instance if you've been offline for like mon-thu and post like 50 times on fri.
17402  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we ever see bitcoin lower than 1000$? on: June 14, 2017, 07:31:58 AM
Even some months ago bitcoin'a price was 600$ but it started to rise and everyone sees how it become 1300$, than 1-2 month ago we had a little fall and lowest price was 890$ but than it returned to it's 1200-1300 and continued to rise and rise and we see what we get in result, bitcoin's price is 2750$ currently. This is very high rise and what do you think guys, will we see fall from 2700 to 1000 or even to 600$ ? Can we to forget worries of price fall?

A fall can definitely happen anytime. But I'm thinking about a crash to about $2000 or $1800 only. It would be too much of a disaster for Bitcoin to fall to something lower than $1000. I'm not saying it's impossible though, it's definitely possible. Anything can happen at this point.

I'm actually expecting a crash nextmonth (end of July) because of the possible split between Bitcoin Unlimited and Bitcoin Core. But I expect it to come back to a rise immediately after a few weeks of months.
17403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fees will get to high! on: June 14, 2017, 05:56:00 AM
If bitcoin will really have a value off $100,000 or even $1,000,000 will fees then rise to an avarage of 100 or 1000 dollars per transaction? In that case banks offer way lower fees!

As of our current situation, fees will definitely go higher if transactions rise to the point of bitcoin being impractical to use.

Will it be fixed? We shall wait for the BIP148 implementation on the end of July and see if SegWit > Bitcoin unlimited or the other way around.
17404  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Opening dice site on: June 13, 2017, 06:25:42 PM
Hello guys , I want to know will it be a good idea to open a new dice site?
I can share the script once finished , but I don't know is it good idea?
I am pretty good with PHP , Js etc.

Regards , Petar!

So. You wanted to make a dicing website. Question. You might be able to script it, but do you have any idea on how to advertise it? Can you prevent it getting hacked?

Also, don't you think bitcoins has too much dicing sited already? Think of something that your website can have that most dicing sites don't have. Because you're just going to release a basic site, then people won't use it.
17405  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase STOLE more than 10 BTC !!!! on: June 13, 2017, 05:51:01 PM
Hi guys! Last week I blocked my account because I was not sure about the security of the data. Now when I want to unlock it, Coinbase support answers that they simply do not have email support in my region now! And this is despite the fact that 2 months ago the support worked perfectly! They just decided to steal my money and not unlock the account! Support does not answer! Any suggestions?

That's tough. don't stop trying to contact them. Get as much attention as possible. I suggest posting it on reddit's /r/bitcoin and /r/btc to get more attention. make sure to explain things carefully.

After you regain control over your bitcoins, I suggest to always move your bitcoins out of your coinbase wallet into some other wallet like electrum/mycelium. I've seen too much people having problems on coinbase.

All phones feature a built-in privacy control center giving users full control of access and functions of their phone.

Version 1 of the Privacy Phone gives our users enormous power over his or her privacy.

Bank of switches allowing physical disconnection the battery, WiFi, Bluetooth and geolocation, the camera and the microphone, and more

Resistant to Stingray or any other IMSI catcher device

Web search anonymizer to prevent searches from triggering an avalanche of ads

Developed in the United States, designed in Denmark, and assembled in Europe

Version 2 coming in 2018.

I've seen multiple phones like this already. The price is TOO MUCH.

To be honest, I would feel alot safer using an android using certain apps and techniques to increase privacy. Apps like adblocks, VPNs, Tor, and the like.

These just arent worth it in my opinion.
17407  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Are we over complicating Bitcoin? on: June 13, 2017, 12:20:50 PM
Our standard answer to people saying that Bitcoin is too complicated used to be, " Bank customers do not need to know how the internet ledgers of a bank work, to use their service " but now with the introduction of things like UASF people have to approach their merchants and exchanges and services to figure out what services will be safe to use, depending on what route those services will be going with this scaling option.

Are we over complicating Bitcoin for non-technical users of this technology? < They have no clue what chain split and soft forks are, and should they be that involved? >

Our goal should be to make it very simple for Granny to understand and to grow adoption. ^hmmmmmm^

Imagine if the reserve bank issued 2 different types of $1 notes and one type of note was accepted at specific merchants and not at other. This will create a lot of confusion with the general public.

Example : https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/6e25yx/im_investing_on_bitcoin_for_some_time_but_what/

We are not over complicating bitcoin. It's just that some non tech-savvy people are trying to understand a quite complicated technology.

People don't need to understand it, just trust it; but yea understanding it is a big plus and a big knowledge advantage.

Laymen people don't under the internet or the world wide web either, but they still use it. It should be the same for bitcoins.
17408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: a friendly warning about "advertisers" on: June 13, 2017, 11:15:54 AM
... mostly towards newcomers

i see an increased activity in people advertising altcoins as good investments which are going to be such and such in the future and do wonderful things! specially in the main board. and it is only going to increase as the bubble of said altcoin grows bigger.

just remember to think before investing in any of them, don't fall for the emotional hype.

also a good idea to educate yourself. start by reading this: http://www.investopedia.com/terms/b/bubble.asp

Most of these altcoins are just sort of "pump and dump" anyway. They hype the altcoin so much that people invest in them, then they dump all their coins on exchanges. Huge profit for them, but  investors lose money. It's a sick way to profit off crypto to be honest.
17409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: That day when Bitcoin hits $50,000.- on: June 13, 2017, 09:28:33 AM
I am curious what you will do that day, when this post gets replied and all those people wish they started in the time that we did. The day when you, me and all other Bitcoin buyers basically have won the lottery, what will you do?

What I would do? I would go to my friends and family and tell them "I TOLD YOU SO". LOL. It seems like for all the people I know irl I'm the only one who believes in crypto. They laugh for now, lets just see who laughs in the future with all those profit from crypto.  Grin Grin
17410  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can cryptocurrency make real money disappear? on: June 13, 2017, 07:40:33 AM
What are the chances of living in a world with no actual money ?  Shocked

Low. I think personally that cryptocurrencies wont make FIAT useless, but I think that cryptocurrencies will work hand-in-hand with FIAT money. Especially in countries like the United States, and the other first-world countries; I don't see FIAT going anywhere soon.
17411  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] | 🔥 Bitmixer.io Signature Campaign 🔥 | Earn up to 0.035 BTC/week on: June 13, 2017, 07:25:43 AM
Wow that's pretty tight. I imagine alot of unaware members get banned. Since sometimes these are normal behaviors but are detected as 'spammy' by the bots.
Classic gibberish. The bot absolutely has nothing to do with spammers nor any kind of bans. Each and every ban is applied manually, by me. If one does not know that this is a strict campaign with a lot of bans, then one has clearly not read the whole thread before joining and thus should be booted from the campaign right away.

There should be considerations about these.
No. Rules are rules.

Alright. I understand, rules are rules. Just gotta make sure I don't break any of em. I just wanted to make sure. Thanks for the reply.
17412  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] | 🔥 Bitmixer.io Signature Campaign 🔥 | Earn up to 0.035 BTC/week on: June 13, 2017, 04:28:19 AM
As an example you can take my situation: After few months of participating in this campaign one night (three weeks ago) I come back from party and i wrote three (3) low quality posts - it was enough to kick me out, and put me on list of spammers. Rules are rules..

Wow that's pretty tight. I imagine alot of unaware members get banned. Since sometimes these are normal behaviors but are detected as 'spammy' by the bots. There should be considerations about these.

Ohwell. It means I gotta keep my conversations on private message then.

Posting in short bursts (which results with a permanent ban).

Hi @Lauda. I'm a new member of this campaign.

How frequent can posts be to be considered as "short bursts"?

I had some uncommon instances before where I reply like once every 5-10 minutes in a single thread if I'm talking or discussing with somebody. I'm curious if I could possibly get banned for that reason.
17414  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: BTC.com | BITCOIN WALLET | Safe, secure & trusted on: June 12, 2017, 12:57:04 PM
Huh. User Interface looks alot like Copay's. Can you give me some features you have that Copay/Bitpay doesn't have?
17415  Local / Pamilihan / Re: 🇵🇭 PinoyBitcoin.org | Pinoy Bitcoin tambayan on: June 12, 2017, 10:56:13 AM

Salamat!

Good afternoon. So now under new management na. As of now ako at si boss Dabs.

Salamat!

Salamat. feeling ko nung una magiging effective ung competition, pero as of now flop.

Yes nag aadvertise po kami through facebook. Also, pag interested ka: PinoyBitcoin Staff hunt
17416  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who coined the termed "Satoshi" on: June 12, 2017, 09:00:42 AM
We know that Satoshi Nakamoto coined the termed "Bitcoin", but who coined the term "Satoshi" for the one hundred millionth part of a bitcoin.
I had read somewhere that it was in honor of bitcoin's creator in 2010, but who first started using the word ?
Just asking out of curiosity Wink

It was definitely to honor Satoshi Nakamoto. I don't think it was decided by a single person though.

I imagine it happened like a member suggested it on a sort of forum, then most members liked it.  Grin
17417  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Telegram? on: June 12, 2017, 08:56:27 AM
Or natry na magtelegram? Waste of time lang po ba to? or scam ? o may kumikita po from this app? Thank you po sa help.

As much as possible stay away po sa mga cloud mining/investment sites. Kung gusto niyo kumita through bitcoin, either join kayo ng ad campaign, or hold lang kayo ng bitcoins, since mataas ang chance na tumaas pa ng tumaas ang presyo ng bitcoins.
17418  Local / Pamilihan / Re: PinoyBitcoin.org on: June 12, 2017, 08:39:10 AM
Nice, mabuti na rin to para makatulong sa ibang hirap mag english, good luck and sana maging successful by the way ang swerte mo sa domain at nakuha mo ang magandang site name, more power at magtulungan tayong mga pinoy para ma spread ang knowledge tungkol sa bitcoin.

Salamat.

17419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How far do you think ETH will go? on: June 12, 2017, 07:53:52 AM
I put in about $100 into ETH yesterday and plan on putting another $100 in today. Last I checked, it was around $3 per ETH and now it's at $19 which is absolutely great.

How many of you have invested in ETH and how far do you think it will go in the next couple of years?

It's currently going great. But guess what. Bitcoin was the same in the past. Not because Eth is going consistent now doesn't mean it's impossible for Eth to have a huge problem in the future.

But to answer your question, it will go far. Maybe as far as bitcoin, or more. Completely depending also on bitcoin's BIP fiasco.
17420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a mess. ETH is a freight train. on: June 12, 2017, 07:19:26 AM
Not because Eth is doing very good right now it doesn't mean it's not gonna go through some problems in the future. Who knows? It might even have worse problems.

It's just that Eth is currently alot younger than BTC.
