Struggling to find a reason NOT to make another pick on Djokovic but as I overlooked Murray once, I'll chance my picks on him today. If the big 3 go through, it will be a headache for the semis to make a pick! What do you think guys, will both Men and Women Brits will make it to the final?

My picks for today:
Andy Murray
Sam Querrey

Murray to win 6-2,4-6,6-4,6-2

Just a gentle reminder to all those following. Make sure to check out Monsterbyte. Its the best time to transfer your holdings of bitcoins and altcoins to monsterbyte during this downtrend in the market.

Are you sure about that? This is a genuine question. How much do you believe in them and how much have you invested in them so far yourself? If you don't mind sharing that is.

I've also decided to back this ICO, albeit with a lot less than even 1 BTC, but then again I'm not one to go ICO hungry. Monsterbytes is perhaps the only one I've seen that already has a solid business model, and are raising a set amount of cash to help them grow. Most other ICOs have nothing to stake their money on, not even reputation. And are just raising cash without having a budget. In the real world, this is completely foolish.

P.S. Good call on Partizan!
17563  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 🔥🔥1100$ in total with Daily 55$ GIVEAWAY for just guessing Scores on: July 11, 2017, 02:17:23 PM
Just want to note in here that my pick for yesterday (Djokovic) was played today and I guessed the scores correctly! It's on your other thread:

It's usually "bad luck" for me to bet on my own hopeful game but I have a suspicion Murray's already gone as far as he can. My picks for today are going to be based on a scenario where I bet the opposite way. This way, if I lose the wager, I have a chance to win today's challenge.

Djokovic Novak vs Mannarino Adrian
Djokovic to win 6-2, 7-6, 6-4

Oh cool, I guessed this exactly! It's only a pity that I took an actual wager the other way around as I really thought Djoko loses steam around this stage, but I suppose the prize for this would cover that loss. What did I win?=p
17565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hard fork statement by freebitco.in on: July 11, 2017, 11:25:25 AM
since when are we discussing the statements from faucets regarding bitcoin and hard forks? Cheesy

That's a slightly unfair statement. I think the site is one of the most reputable crypto businesses online, by virtue of years of operation, community engagement and a noticeable dearth of scam accusations. And his coming out to say that people will get 2 coins in case of a split is a lot more than most other sites or services would ever do.

You can of course speculate that it's a pre-emptive move to prevent withdrawals, but what's stopping people from doing so, anyway?
17566  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Difficulty contest. prize 2 ltc 1 compac usb stick. Picks are closed!! on: July 11, 2017, 10:39:05 AM
Ouch, looks like I completely missed this edition (I participated in the previous one). Actually bookmarked the old thread but somehow forgot all about this. Been reading news on hobby miners re-entering the scene ever since recent ATHs, probably one more reason why people are thinking of double digit guesses.

If this one is positive, I'm going on a low negative if I chance on the next edition.
17567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔥🔥110$ MONSTERBYTE daily Giveaway added - Joca97 & Ajaxmoor's Big Picks thread on: July 11, 2017, 10:28:50 AM

Janowicz to win the match
good luck guys !!

Ah, I just missed this game as it's taking place now. Janowicz got the first set and is ahead on the second. Seems my pick for yesterday was postponed to today also, so at least that's something to watch. What a string of epic games yesterday, huh?
17568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wimbeldon Special Challange & free tips thread Sponsored by Betopen.co on: July 11, 2017, 10:23:58 AM
Glad I stayed out of that match... Nadal was spent after clawing back in the 3rd and 4th sets. The other almost epic comeback was from Zverev. Both those epic games pushed poor Djoko's game to today (Wimbledon blamed the crowd haha), so I'm taking a small bet on him to lose.
17569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wimbeldon Special Challange & free tips thread Sponsored by Betopen.co on: July 10, 2017, 06:14:01 PM
Wow. I honestly didn't think Murray had it in him to reach the quarterfinals. I even passed on the Konta game. To my regret both British did well.

And right now watching the incredible comeback from Nadal, not sure if he'll snatch this last set though. Looks like even your pick Zverev is doing the same thing, leaving it to the fifth!
17570  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market Cycles - why 560k might be wrong! on: July 10, 2017, 04:57:06 PM
Each bull-run for a figure. First for three figures, second for four figures, so the third will be five figures. It will reach 10000 by next year, then when it will be near 30k there will be another bear market like it is having now. But by that time, the financial institutions will provoke it to eliminate the common players, and there will be drops with four figures, from 30 to 25 and up again to 32, so it will be very hard to buy bitcoins. If you buy for example 10k satoshis, you risk having it drop to 1 satoshi, in fiat value.

So now it's the better time to buy and accumulate. The trade in the future will be only for altcoins, who will follow bitcoin rising to the moon, since people will not stop trading for them to increase their satoshis. But the trade for fiat will be dominated by financial institutions, who will put millions into it. It will be very hard for the average person to hold it. It will be like a wall separating both camps.

The idea is never to sell bitcoins, but to use them to buy things, to charge pre-paid cards and pay services. I always paid my storage cloud with bitcoins, after recent rise I paid until 2019 since they were satoshis bought in 2015. But it is still early and most sites won't accept it. And when they will accept the price will be so high that the average guy, who is not buying now, will have to spend it immediately to not lose it. The banks will probably create a protocol using smart contracts to convert fiat to bitcoin instantly, and will get even richer with all the speculation going on around it.

Still too early to tell. It was only last month that we thought this was "finally happening", along with all the premature reports of crypto markets running red with blood. Only for everything to recover in less than 24 hours. I have a feeling we're headed for a few more false alarms before the real easing down below $2,000. Similarly, a few more false alarms past $3,000 long before it goes for new ATHs closer to $4,000.
17571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ether still struggling? on: July 10, 2017, 04:37:19 PM
You guys do realise that almost the same "crash" can be seen for Bitcoin in the last 12 hours, don't you? The same can be said for a lot of alts actually. I'm looking just at DOGE and LTC. Just goes to show that BTC still leads the way. You jump, I jump, Bitcoin!
17572  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer - mixing reinvented on: July 10, 2017, 01:16:42 PM
If the reports are true that there are now organisations that use highly specialised software forensics to detect or trace Bitcoin origins - there are a few questions that come to mind:

1. Is there a way to "test" if your Bitcoins could pass any of these so-called detection tests?
2. Has evidence from these types of software ever been successfully (or unsuccessfully) used to incriminate someone legally?
3. Is there any way to benchmark ChipMixer against other similar services? What would the major criteria be?

Interested in your thoughts, @MZ especially Wink
17573  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1st August questions - can you invest safely? on: July 10, 2017, 11:56:38 AM
We all know what can happen and what will be results, just enjoy summer, if you have spare dollar's place some orders lower and wait. When summer ends you will be fresh and satisfied! Avoid been cough in panic, or afflicted with nonsense lies on social networks. Vacation is probably best solution!

I think this is a good reminder for all of us. I've simply decided to more or less go along with whatever I'm doing now regardless of what happens. This means that I continue with my current diversification (some alts, some tokens, some investments). I was thinking to liquidate all btc investments and keep them on my wallet for the possible fork, but then, I wouldn't really have anything substantial to gain from having yet another alt I didn't want.

17575  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Altcoins are all down, so how do traders make their earnings? on: July 10, 2017, 11:24:30 AM
Hi still a newbie trader here. Just want to know. If All altcoins are down since last few weeks. How do traders maker their earnings during this bitcoin correction / retracement. All my polo coins are bought while Bitcoin is 2900usd in the past few months. Now I am HODLing like forever Sad All my coins are in bloody red, I have negative -20%  to -30% profit. Please suggest something.

This is a great time to learn patience. The good news is, you're only about 15% in the red based on today's BTC price. As Bitcoin will surely return to the 2900 level, as will the price of alts.

More good news: it may feel like forever, but it's only been a matter of months. If you're a long-term trader, this is something you must expect. If you're not. then cut your losses now and learn a bit more about short-term trading before you re-enter. More good news: You've gained experience and should make note not to repeat the mistakes.

What a lousy time to take a weekend break, as it turns out! Missed on 3 good calls from you guys. You seem to have good success with over/unders, in fact it's only since following you that I make this kind of wagers on football. Other than straight WLD, I usually go for first to score or goalscorer, but only with teams/players I'm familiar with. Looking forward to this week.

Good on him. I think most of the early adopters holding a lot and never selling still hold most of it today. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but at least there are a few who've made the most of the good fortune they had.

Can't say I'd have done the same as he, I typically know myself to be a bit cautious. Then again, never experienced coming into so much wealth.

How exciting. I could also say that, circa 1555 to 1556, Michel de Nostredame in his series of Les Propheties Predicted the Bitcoin Era in the 21st century.

@OP Try to call any designer from the yellow pages or walk into any shop and see who will quote you $25 (0.01 BTC)for a package of designs. Unless you're in a severely low wage country, you would be hard pressed to find that price.

This is why good people in the creative industry have to work for criminally poor rates. I know you can find cheap workers from low wage countries. With all due respect, very few of them are up to professional standards, and those who are really good anyway won't charge the same cheap rates that others do.

What you're doing here is offering just below $90 to get a whole list of submissions for you to choose from, with unpredictable quality. Friendly advice: you might actually get a better professionally designed package for that same price hiring one of the many freelancers on bct.

Good luck!
