17581  Economy / Reputation / Re: be.open & Sancho18 - bounty cheaters. on: October 21, 2019, 08:07:12 AM
It seems to me that the ideal option is to ban all these users (along with the alts) and if someone wants to return to the forum, he will solve this issue in Meta. I don’t think that he/any of them will tell the truth here.
Lol.  Dude, you're grasping at straws.
~snip~
This vendetta you've got against be.open is reflecting as poorly on you as you wish it were on him.
Agreed. We get it, KTChampions doesn't like be.open. First he tried to get him tagged, then he tried to have him banned, and after that failed he's back at trying to get him tagged again. I'd say: lock this, and ignore users you don't like.
Fun fact: KTChampions hasn't even tagged be.open on his own. Why wait for others to do your dirty work?
I stand corrected. Sorry.

17583  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Generate bitcoin address other base58 on: October 20, 2019, 07:05:09 PM
How did you do that?
I used vanitygen to create a list of addresses, then searched one by one for addresses containing the required character.
But vanitygen is terribly slow to output all addresses, if you adjust the source (or even better: adjust oclvanitygen), you should be able to search 100 times my list per second (depending on hardware).
17584  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Generate bitcoin address other base58 on: October 20, 2019, 06:55:03 PM
I tried to modify vanitygen but when I remove some characters some addresses are not valid
You can create a list, then search through it. However, it's very unlikely.
From your earlier example, I created just over 100,000 addresses, and checked how many of them still qualify each time I require one extra character from your list:
Code:
Number of addresses that contain 1: 137563
Number of addresses that contain 2: 62151
Number of addresses that contain 4: 27959
Number of addresses that contain 5: 12077
Number of addresses that contain 7: 5146
Number of addresses that contain B: 2191
Number of addresses that contain D: 922
Number of addresses that contain E: 364
Number of addresses that contain G: 136
Number of addresses that contain K: 51
Number of addresses that contain L: 19
Number of addresses that contain N: 4
Number of addresses that contain R: 2
Number of addresses that contain T: 0
Number of addresses that contain U: 0
Number of addresses that contain W: 0
Number of addresses that contain X: 0
Number of addresses that contain Y: 0
Number of addresses that contain a: 0
Number of addresses that contain e: 0
Number of addresses that contain m: 0
Number of addresses that contain u: 0
Number of addresses that contain z: 0
The only 2 addresses that have all characters up to the R:
Address: 1BoG2KdqFw48V715E8Szp7pCNLDtjiS9RU
Privkey: 5JCyYxJb6e6KpHZDKVhBcYBNg8YeJSEPcbVaZjQ8W5U6qXGddu3
Address: 17uw5D4GwPNRKLNBZMNP7EHhiKphho82yk
Privkey: 5Jhxk9p4VAbqD2Jd4pukZK8ReqXwRdABRvLyMfMRUAFKBZ1CN4f

Note that I still don't eliminate the addresses with characters that aren't in your list, that would make the final list even shorter.
17585  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using Locktime for inheritance planning, backups or gifts on: October 20, 2019, 06:25:33 PM
Since nobody took the small balance for about 200 blocks, I moved it myself. I could broadcast the transaction without any problems, after which I used the QR-code to sweep the private key.

This was my first test, and it all worked as expected.
17586  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Generate bitcoin address other base58 on: October 20, 2019, 06:22:01 PM
Ok let's take an example from an address that is as follows: 12DeDN7BeK2zRTaXKWNUE4m5R4Y5aUuGL7

I would only like to generate other addresses of the same type by removing from the database58 the letters and numbers that are not present in the address
So you want more addresses with only the following characters?
Code:
B
D
E
G
K
L
N
R
T
U
W
X
Y
a
e
m
u
z
1
2
4
5
7
Sure that's possible, by using brute-force: use (or modify) vanitygen, and select the addresses that match your requirement.

Do you mind sharing what you're trying to accomplish?

In my search for a method to convert avatars into a bigger picture, I found a site which I'm pretty sure you used too. I didn't want to replicate your idea, otherwise I would have submitted this:

17589  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bot to automatically check signatures. on: October 20, 2019, 05:25:51 PM
Ideally, the bot account should not be able to delete its messages, and can only edit its messages once ( Or for a limited time, for example ). But already if it was possible to make sure that he can not delete his messages, it would be a very good point !
I read a while back about a scammer who years ago lost his edit-privileges on the forum, to stop him from removing evidence. If theymos can take away edit and delete power from your bot (and publicly confirms it), it can offer a very nice service.
17590  Economy / Lending / Re: Timelord2067's Timely Test and Main-neT LighTning Loans to a "T" on: October 20, 2019, 05:20:39 PM

17591  Other / Meta / Re: Database Error and slow forum on: October 20, 2019, 05:17:11 PM
I was having this problem for last 1 hour or so. Anyways i have found a solution to this.
Press CTRL + F5 and the page will load normally.
What sorcery is this? Shocked I never expected a "maintenance error" to disappear after a hard refresh. Refresh your cache - When hitting F5 just isn't enough! explained it a bit, and theymos' post completed the explanation.
I never knew this is possible.
17592  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: A great lesser known wallet! [BlueWallet] on: October 20, 2019, 04:49:18 PM
Loyce, is your phone rooted? We may be able to try some stuff if it is.
It's not rooted.

Quote
Or if you have another phone, you can try installing an older version of the app, then update it, install the old version again and see if it overrides the app data (such as wallet and channel state).
I tried installing Bluewallet on a completely different Android device, with a different Android version, and that one gets stuck on a white screen too! I don't even get to the part where it asks to create a wallet.
I have no experience installing older versions, and I try not to install anything outside the Play Store.
17593  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bot to automatically check signatures. on: October 20, 2019, 11:32:31 AM
It's a nice project, but there really needs to be more than one account quoting and verifying signatures. If it ends up being that solely one person is quoting these it's too easy for a malicious actor behind the account to edit or delete quotes others have made. Say for instance that the bot account gets hacked and offers to delete quotes of hacked account's addresses for payment. My worry is that people will get complacent and only this bot will end up quoting signatures.
I don't think it's a big problem, LoyceV and maybe some other users archive all messages, and the bot itself posts link to imgur and archive.fo, so even in worst case of the bot account getting hacked, the quotes won't be gone forever.
The links to archive.fo and imgur will be very hard to find back without the post.
But indeed, I archive messages. See this link for the posts I have on that thread. It's not automatically updated yet, but it will be once I have the time to test it a bit more. I'm not sure how long I'll do this though, staking an address is meant to be used years later, and I will run out of space at some point.

Quote
Plus, theymos could probably restore posts if the vanishing would be quickly detected.
As far as I know, deleted posts are stored forever. That's only useful if Cryptios has access to those too, because theymos doesn't do account recoveries anymore.
It might help if the user remembers his post number, I'm not sure how much work it is to find a certain deleted post.

Obviously in an ideal world we wouldn't need to have addresses be staked in a thread, it would be much nicer if there was a function on the forum that allowed you to stake an address on your profile which would be verified by the forum software and from then on saved.
An easy solution would be to move the entire "stake addy"-thread to Auctions, so that users can't edit or delete their posts anymore.
17594  Economy / Lending / Re: Timelord2067's Timely Test and Main-neT LighTning Loans to a "T" on: October 20, 2019, 10:37:34 AM
Does anyone know how to do BBCODE for count-downs? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4738016.msg52581428#msg52581428
I don't think the forum supports it. Maybe an animated GIF could work as a count down, but a new one has to be created at each refresh, and browser cache will probably mess it up anyway.

17595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports Betting Contest on: October 20, 2019, 10:21:44 AM
You should Quote every prediction right away after they posted because they can edit the post whenever they wanted though I know LoyceV has a Log in which edited posts can be checked from the original post before editing
See http://loyce.club/archive/posts/5281/52816497.html

Posts don't show as "Edited" on Bitcointalk if they were edited within the first 10 minutes. Admin doesn't keep logs during those 10 minutes either. I scrape mosts posts (usually more than 99.9%) within a few seconds, see Viewing unedited posts and deleted posts, view per post, per user or per topic.

Lol Cheesy Let's have a vote whether or not you can continue spamming this forum. I vote against it!

I found out about this signature from the YOBIT mailing list.  https://yobit.net/en/signature/details/ There are no such requirements in these rules. How do I know that the bounty gave Yahoo?
Then why are you complaining here? Go complain against the Yobit mailing list!

We can agree on that! Most people here would rather have the campaign go, but banning spammers is a very good second best option.
17598  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 20, 2019, 08:05:51 AM
Can I bump this? It's still working just fine:
At NeuroticFish's request, I made this:

All posts in the Wall Observer thread in the past 1h, 24h and 7d
All posts in the past 1 hour: WallObserver.tk/1h.html (updated every 3 minutes).
All posts in the past 24 hours: WallObserver.tk (updated every 30 minutes).
All posts in the past 7 days: WallObserver.tk/7d.html (updated every 2 hours).

Domain WallObserver.tk expires a year from now, I'll see by then if anyone uses it.
All times are set to Amsterdam time.

Limitations:
Images still go through Bitcointalk's image proxy, and they don't load when there are too many on one page. In Firefox a fix is to go to the URL-bar a few times, and press Enter. Just "Reload" doesn't help.
I'm just leaving it here in case anyone things this is useful Smiley If not, please ignore it.
To load all images in the 7 day view, it's easiest to go back and forth between 1d and 7d a few times. Or, if I visit the 7d daily, my browser cache holds most images so the rest works instantly.
(the images still go through Bitcointalk's proxy, and can't load a week's worth of images at once).
17599  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: A great lesser known wallet! [BlueWallet] on: October 19, 2019, 07:02:42 PM
Have you tried clearing the app cache?
I can't find it from just this app, but I think I've cleared all cache on the tablet.

Quote
It sounds like the usual play update that somehow messed up the app data. You might want to back-up the app data with Swift Backup or something similar, uninstall it and then reinstall an older version that works fine for your device if you still want to use it. But well, I can't guarantee anything.
I'll just wait and see if the next update works again, I've never installed older versions of any app.
I tried to start it as a different user on the same device, and without any settings or data it gives the same white screen when it starts.

What Android version btw?
