1761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ripple (XRT) unseat Ethereum (ETH)? on: October 19, 2018, 03:24:22 PM
Well, I would not say that Ripple could not take Ethereum 2nd position because they just did that a few weeks ago, event though its only for a couple days. But the think is, the main reason that make Ripple can get over Ethereum is the down trend of Ethereum it self, not because there is some really good news on Ripple, long story short, when Ethereum get back on its track, and it will be happend soon, Ripple will left behind again.
1762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Need to Be Careful with ICOs on: October 19, 2018, 11:33:30 AM
I absolutely agree with this opinion, many of new ICOs recently turns out to be either total scam or completely worthless. So many risk to take to invest in ICO. So, investing in ICO is not a good option anymore. Moreover there are already millions of coin that the projects are already developed well. Why don't we just put our money on that well-developed projects?

Or why not just stop investing to ICOs and just go with the normal tokens / coins that are already listed on exchanges?

Doing research is still good enough to know if the ICO is a scam or not that will give you strength on what to avoid.
1763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What sites do you use to make your investment decisions? on: October 19, 2018, 11:27:49 AM
I do not really invest in ICOs right now, but I did some investment in the past. The first thing I would open was the ico review sites, there are plenty of theme but here are my top three.
https://icorating.com
https://icobench.com
https://icochamps.com
Other than ICO review site, I usually also look for some article in Medium, Steemit, and Cointelegraph. The last thing of course you will look their thread on Bitcointalk and do some deep digging on there. But for now, I am not really investing on ICO, I only invest in project that has been developed well, less risk I think.
1764  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO's and the future on: October 18, 2018, 01:21:34 PM
Well I agree that keep adding new project without a real use-case is not healthy, but I think this kind of thing is also happening in the traditional business environment, many people keep establishing trash start-up. Yet, the traditional economic are still running. So, this overwhelming ICO phenomenon is just a normal thing, for me as an Investor I just need to put extra work on researching those ICOs, so I only invest in a good thing.
1765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Gold have a future? on: October 18, 2018, 03:07:46 AM
I must say that the decision to implement ASIC resistant is brilliant, on of the main problem in Bitcoin is that small people hold most of the coin because of the ASIC. And Bitcoin Gold know that flaw and fix their side, however, I do not think that Bitcoin Gold can replace Bitcoin in any way, and that is why Bitcoin Gold is not really promising, just like other Bitcoin fork, we don't need any of them because Bitcoin is still strong.
1766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Tether (USDT) eventually collapse cryptocurrencies market? on: October 18, 2018, 03:00:50 AM
Tether had so many controversies, the most popular might be Bitfinex scandal, and not to mention some other bad news about Tether. The most recent news is the delist of Tether by Binance which is turn out to be a fake news, however Binance now delaying the withdrawal process of USDT because of that fake news. For me myself I don't really interested in crypto that backed by fiat (what so called "Stable Coin") like Tether, TrueUSD and soon. I think this currency is not necessary, the only real use case is to trade between Crypto and Fiat, but I it will be better if we trade directly from crypto to fiat.

1768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano vs. Ethereum on: October 13, 2018, 08:18:30 AM
Cardano vs Ethereum, trust me these will not be a fair fight. Like we all have seen recently that Ethereum price is crashing pretty hard, but what happened with Cardano? It does not take any advantage of it, their price are still static and follow the Bitcoin leads. So, if I am about to choose between investing on Ethereum or Cardano, I will absolutely pick Ethereum.  But the real question, Are either Cardano or Ethereum worth investing right now? Because I saw other great coins to invest in, rather than ADA or ETH. There EOS, Ripple, Stellar, and other things.
1769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where and how best to invest? on: October 13, 2018, 08:13:36 AM
60% of Bitcoin and 40% of NEO and EOS is pretty good one. I guess you are not a risk taker since you only invest on the project that already developed and has good market value. This will be good in the long run, even though you will not get great profit in a short time but you will not lose all of your too. If you ask me about some advice, looking at your style in investing which is "play-safe" I will suggest you to bought some Ethereum, first of all Ethereum project has great development, and market value/cap. But recently the price of ETH is falling down pretty hard, so if you lucky enough you will get buy ETH at the Bottom, and gain some good profit. And at the same time you will still invest in low-risk.
1770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bullish News for Tron with Proof on: October 13, 2018, 01:17:21 AM
Another pre-announcement announcement of an upcoming announcement? Justin Sun and Tron are pretty much a one-trick marketing pony at this point. This nonsense needs to stop.

And yet, the price of Tron is already going up. People buying based on pure speculation of absolutely nothing. So stupid. No doubt this will be another huge let down, same as everything to do with Tron.
Justin is a marketer lol this guy must learn a lot from mcafee. that guy was always talking about bullshit. so many times i heard that that guy was shilling for tron and created bunch of crap tweet about tron but there's no impact at all to the tron. i should agree with you it looks so stupid to always create such a crap tweet.

Agree with these opinions. I never trust  Tron, Justin is purely money maker guy, he saved a lot of TRX for himself make some gimmicky news, so investors speculate on Tron buy it for nothing, and Justin himself will sell a lot of TRX and dump the price. It has happened a lot of time, this coin is just pump-dump, the projects is a crap, and the development is so slow compared to other projects like NEO, EOS etc.
1771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tren Delay Bounty Payment on: October 13, 2018, 01:12:07 AM
Actually not only bounty payment are delayed, I participated in some ICO, and the dev keep delaying the coin distribution so the fact is not only bounty hunter that do not receive the token, the investors also. And for the price dump, it is common even in other investment like IPO, the price will dump on the first market release, but if the project is good and has real use-case the price will go up again because investors trust in the project.
1772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you know a shitty ICO on: October 12, 2018, 12:58:35 PM
Mostly I judge them by the team,  come on check this forum and see a lot of icos company looking for partners to work for free for them in order to collect a coin which the future is not even certain. If you don't have money to pay a developer,  whitepaper writer etc. How on earth will you f*cking get money for promotion.   Huh Huh

Yeah, I always look at the team first before get to do research on any other things of the ICO. But I think your other opinion about how Company pay their team is totally wrong. Just so you know that before any developer, writer, designer, or any other professional decided to join a project and paid with the projects coin/token they will always do research on the projects, trust no one wants to work for free. And if you never join a projects, most of the time the projects founder will give an option to each of the team member whether they want to be paid full in token, or paid half in token and half in ETH/BTC/Stellar/EOS/NEO or any high tier crypto. So it is their choice to be paid in token.
1773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is altcoin worth investing? on: October 12, 2018, 12:49:23 PM
Some altcoins are still worth Investing, but like any other investment instruments, you need to dig deep about their projects. No offence but if you lose 70%, I believe you have been blind investing. You just do not want to spend the time to do the research and leads you to invest in trash projects. I also invest in altcoins more than I invest in Bitcoin, and I lost 30% my money but now it is recovering. My advice is to invest more of your time than you will not waste more money.
1774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hundreds of ICOs Being Secretly Investigated by SEC, Claims Report on: October 12, 2018, 12:21:19 PM
Hundreds of startups are reportedly being “secretly” targeted by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for their involvement with initial coin offerings. Companies that participated in ICOs are now scrambling to clarify whether their token constituted a security, and, if so, whether it was properly registered with or exempted by the SEC.

Yahoo Finance and Decrypt claims that “Hundreds of startups that did token sales are finding out they’re in violation of securities law— including many that were sure they did it the right way.”

https://news.bitcoin.com/hundreds-of-icos-being-secretly-investigated-by-sec-claims-report/

It's been far too easy for scammers to defraud people in this space.  Regulation is a good idea but please don't make it so that Crypto is equated to Venture Capital and have crazy minimum limits on the amount you can invest like there is now.

Yeah totally agree with you man, the crypto community is dying to get some good regulation, that is why this SEC activity is necessary. But after all the main reason why those companies are leaving IPO for ICO and choose cryptocurrency is because the regulation of traditional investment is not investor friendly and at the same time it limits the potential earning of the company. And this make the investors leave IPO and move to ICO, and demand company to do the same.
1775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YOU ARE YOUR OWN PROBLEM HERE on: October 11, 2018, 09:37:25 AM
I think it is not suppose to be in Altcoin discussion section, but lets discuss it. To some extend I got your point and I agree with it, like you said that not all project will be successful but does not mean that they are scam, sometimes the project does not intend to scam. but this one I do not agree.

We can't always blame scammers and hackers for our problems when part of that blame is on most of us for neglecting ideal research and learning more about what the cryto-space has to offer. I have seen users that are on the verge of investing in a project yet, they have no idea about simple crypto requirements and features like differences in wallets, whitepaper, and several other common terms out there.

if you have been scammed, you will know that the first thing to do after you got scam is always to blame the scammer, find everything about the scammer, make scam accusation thread, so we can inform others about the scam projects, and if there is a miracle we can get our money back.
1776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ethereum/Altcoins Be Valuable Or Relevant without Bitcoin? on: October 11, 2018, 06:56:45 AM
I happen to be in a group that has to be with Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general. There was an argument recently, for and against, about the fact that non-existence (if possible) of Bitcoin would render or make Ethereum (and other altcoins) useless.
The stronger argument which is for Bitcoin had it that if it happens that there was no Bitcoin again, other coins/tokens would also stop having values. They might justify this because bearish trend in Bitcoin affects almost all other, and for other related reasons.

In my own knowing, I knew that Bitcoin came on the scene the first, and that the idea of it inspired Ethereum second, which gave platform for many Ethereum-based tokens, and there are also other platform-based tokens also like Wave, Stellar, etc
Could all of these starting from Ethereum still exit or useful if Bitcoin wouldn't be any more?
The answer to me is in affirmative, but can anyone lecture on why not?
Insightful answers please.

I absolutely doubt that, indeed the altcoin market value until today is still highly affected by bitcoin price, but that does not mean these altcoins has no independence of their market value. As we know like other commodity or stock the value of crypto is determined  by how their project/product developed, adopted and utilized in mainstream and crypto business. As far as I know each altcoin like Ethereum, Stellar, Ripple and etc has their own independence project/product that do not have any connection and not depend on bitcoin, so if Bitcoin gone it might still affect the market value of altcoins but it won't make them completely lost their relevant or market value.
1777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who actually invests in ICO's? on: October 11, 2018, 01:03:41 AM
I know that most of todays traders are here just to make a quick buck, they dont care about the project, or the idea behind the project, they just want "PUUUPM" and "MOOOON". And with all the scam ICO's that we had in the past( my personal favorite BitConneeeeect) people have lost faith in ICO's. But still new ICO's and new ideas are being published every day, I've seen on some projects that i'm following that they reached their soft or hardcap, but what triggers my mind is: Who is investing in those ICO's, what is the one thing that lures the todays investors into investing in a certain project?

I totally agree about your opinion about trader, but there is nothing wrong with that, that is what called as trading. So for the main question, "who is investing?", believe it or not there are real investors in there, and there are many of them. I know some of them and most of the times, I ask for their mentoring to decide which ICO should I buy. Most of the time they consider three things before buying an ICO, the first one if the Team, as we know that many ICOs today has fake team, that is the one that we should avoid. The second one is looking at the product, does their product have a real use case to solve real problem in real world. And the last one is the partnership and its validity, if they have such a great partner then there are no doubt we should buy their ICO.
1778  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH: is destined to be $2500 by October to December 2018! on: October 06, 2018, 01:32:22 PM
Indeed Ethereum has significant gain recently, after the dump few weeks ago, it leave most of other cryptos behind, but it $2500 way to much, as we know that Bitcoin price will affect other Crypto, includes Ether. Bitcoin needs to be $20k so that Ether price could reach $2500 and I don't see any signal that lead that way. But, other than that, the recent Bullish on Ether make me think that it can reach at least $800 this year.
1779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When are we going to see an era like 2017 again? on: October 06, 2018, 01:27:10 PM
I may have an unpopular opinion but it seems like it is very hard for crypto to reach that peak again, me myself think that with today's marketcap, the 20k Bitcoin seems overpriced, and it just not make sense, some people might say it is a bubble.  And as we all know that bitcoin price is affecting other altcoin price. IMHO the best price bitcoin can reach now is $10k.
1780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO investment tips? on: October 06, 2018, 01:22:04 PM
There some steps that I always do before I decide to buy an ICO, the first one and I think the most important is to check the Team behind the ICO, there are tons of ico that use random google picture, means that it does not have a real team, this kind of ico easily get eliminated from my list. Other type is ICO that has a real team but most of them do not have experience in the ICO or even crypto world, most of the time I will not buy this kind of ICO but sometimes I do check their whitepaper and do deep research about their project, vision etc. if it has a real use-case and legit, I will buy it.
