I agree that form is not always appear. A player can play very well but he will lose form at some point and regain that form again. But I have no complaints about the form in the case of Pakistan. What I would say is that their top order is good but neither middle nor lower is reliable. We saw in the Asia Cup how they lost to Sri Lanka in the final. Again they did the same with Zimbabwe in the World Cup. Without any doubt i can say that they have weaknesses in this point. They can fight against hard team and also lose unexpectedly against weak team as well.
What they need is some good pace bowling all rounders in the middle order. Two decades back they had players such as Azhar Mahmood and Abdul Razzaq. But ever since the retirement of these players, they have been dependent on spin-bowling allrounders such as Shoaib Malik and Mohammed Hafeez. Some of the pacers, such as Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf can bat a bit, but they can't be considered as all rounders. This is one component where Pakistan have been lagging. They need someone like Cameroon Green of Australia. For the T20 format, they must reshuffle the team. All-rounders are always very important for a T20 squad. Without having good all-rounders, the middle order can collapse or the team can reached it's desire postilion. Once a time i liked Shahid Afridi as a Pakistani all-rounder. If there was one more all-rounder like him with the current team of Pakistan then maybe Pakistan cricket would have been able to build a better position. |

Hardik Pandya has played great in this World Cup. But I can't agree with you that Hardik Pandya will be the captain just because he played well in World Cup. There are many better players than Hardik Pandya in India team. But if Hardik Pandya can perform well. May be a captain in the future.
Personally I would have preferred someone like Shreyas Iyer or Rishabh Pant, but Hardik Pandya seems to be the blue eyed boy of Virat Kohli and therefore gets the first preference. I am glad that he has returned to form. But for almost 2-3 years he was retained in the team for no reason. No other player was given this opportunity. There is still a lot of nepotism and bias in the team selection. Talented players such as Venkatesh Iyer and T Natarajan are not being considered for selection, just because they don't have the support from Kohli camp. Virat Kohli is said to have regained form after a long time but I don't think it is good enough for the T20 format. Maybe Indian cricket could have done better if someone else had been given a chance in his place. I like Hardik Pandya because he has a consistency in his game. Which I have often referred to as a game changer. Emotions have no place in cricket. Keeping Virat Kohli in the T20 team at this point I think is an expression of emotion. |

Virat Kohli is still playing well as a player but in some matches he plays really bad. Virat Kohli is playing well as per his age of 34 now. But sometimes I think he can't do any better because of his style of playing. But I have seen that on a day when Virat Kohli plays well, the Indian team has a lot of hope to win.
I will also not disagree with you because it's true that before the Asia cup he wasn't in good form but he is back on his form through the Asia cup so after that time till now I don't see any lack on his performance. But it is true that at a time he will have to retire. But I think since he is still giving good performances I think it will be good for India to keep him in the team. India still has a lot of players who are extremely good players but they don't get that opportunity in the national team. Do you think any other player would have got the opportunities that Virat Kohli got before he regained his form in the last few days? Of course not. We know he is a good player, but not only batting, but also based on various other sites, a player should be selected in the team. In recent times I would say the best player in the Indian team is Hardik Pandya. If there was one more player like him in the Indian team, then India would have been able to win the World Cup this year. As far as I know, BCCI hasn't sent any teams (A, U-19, U-23, first class) to Nepal in the last two decades or so. Cricket relations are practically inexistent. The same can be said about the other neighbors, such as Bhutan, Maldives, China and Myanmar. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) was setup to grow cricket in countries such as Nepal and Malaysia, but gradually it got hijacked by the gulf states such as the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. When Srinivasan was in power, there were demands from the ICC to disband ACC, but some of the members opposed (esp. Hardik Pandya has been given the responsibility to captain this team. If everything goes well then he might retain his captaincy till the next T20WC. A lot of young talents who missed out this year world cup have been given an opportunity in this team. Most probably some of them will go on to play in the next T20WC which is scheduled to be held next year. Hardik Pandya is a good choice as the T20I captain. But there should be a complete revamp of the squad. Issues always arise when the same players are involved in multiple formats. IMO, senior players such as Rohit and Virat should rather concentrate on the test format. T20 is more suitable for the younger players, such as Rishabh, Shreyas, Ishan and Arshdeep. Another major development is that VVS Laxman will take over the coaching duties from Rahul Dravid. I don't know how it will work out for the Indian team. Your idea is quite reasonable. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli should retire from the T20 format. There are a lot of new talented players who also have a lot of potential. If India is to do well in the T20 format, changes are essential in these two places. Hardik Pandya is supporting the current team is really appreciable. He deserves to lead Indian T20 cricket. @GigaBit not just the player but team India needs to have a dedicated coach for the T20 format, because I feel that the current coach can’t help them win T20 World Cup. Furthermore they need more depth in bowling and senior player’s should make way for younger player’s, and if they fail to do this then next year too they won’t win the T20 World Cup again. At the moment for the upcoming tournament BCCI has opted for Laxman as a temporary coach. I think they are on the testing him for this tournament and if the team performs well they might ask him to be a full time coach for T20 format. The good part here is that BCCI is in overhaul mode and that is a good indication. I noticed in the last semi-final match that India was playing with a trend from the beginning that seemed they might be playing a test match. I did not consider their batting was good as T20 format. If Hardik Pandya could not do well in that particular match then that would have been easily noticed to everyone. He collected 63 runs from 33 balls. The score of the match is 168 with the loss of only 6 wickets. I think the Indian coach has failed completely in this situation. So along with some players BCCI should focus to appoint new coach. |

Same thing i am trying to tell to the Pakistan fans that they should not feel heart broken by this loss. They should see that they had almost zero percent chance to reach the semi finals. It was a miracle performance by the Netherlands against South Africa and all of a sudden they found themselves in the semi finals.
I understand that they will think that they were only one win away from lifting the trophy but they should know that the other team had a much better journey to the finals and they truly deserve this win.
It was mixed performance from the Pakistan team. Before the tournament started, Pakistan was one of the favorites to win the world cup. They had a terrific triangular series in New Zealand, where they whitewashed not just the hosts, but Bangladesh as well. But then they lost the match against India in the Super-12 stage. The lowest point was when they lost a close match against Zimbabwe. In the initial stages, both Babar Azam and Rizwan failed to get runs, and it really impacted the overall team performance. Before the T20 World Cup, Pakistan was performing very well. Their excellent performances in several series started the dream of winning the World Cup. But their cricket often faltered. Many used to say that Top Oder dependable team. They also had to lose against teams like Zimbabwe in the World Cup. As a result, the trust in them gradually decreases. However, they could not recover from that weakness even if they got a chance to play in the final. |

Congratulations to England Cricket Team  Finally England belongs to the T20 World Cup 2022. After an era, England won the trophy. They reached the final in 2016 but lost to West Indies. They did not make that mistake this time. Pakistan's dream of defeating England in the 20 over World Cup final remained elusive. Pakistan has struggled with small score of runs. At the end it did not succeed. Ben Stokes' unbeaten innings of 52 runs from 49 balls defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets with 6 balls in hand and England won the second T20 World Cup title in their history. Afridi struck in the opening over of England's innings. He took the wicket of Alex Hales with the last ball of the first over. Then Haris Roofe came and picked up Phil Salt and Jos Buttler, England fallen in danger. They were 49 for 3 in 6 overs of the power play. but overcoming this difficult situation, England was slowly moving towards the goal with the bat of Ben Stokes and Harry Brook. |

I’m wondering if England are going to do it this time. Something just tells me it might be their year. Maybe I’m just being patriotic or something. I think a bet on an England cricket & England football team, World Cup winners double might make sense  It is possible that England would win this match against India simply because India usually falter under pressure in major tournaments during knockout stages. There are injury concerns for England as Dawid Malan is not fit and there is report out about Mark Wood as well and if Wood is not fit to play it will be a blow to the bowling depth. I think India will win the match and we are expecting the final of India vs Pakistan. In the previous semifinal Pakistan won. Pakistan who was near to disqualify stage from world cup. But now it is in final. Just like that I think India will win the match and the final would be interesting.  If the weather is favorable then we can see a good match between Indian and England. If it is not favorable and if the game is not even on reserve day then India will be ahead in terms of points. India will win there too. All things considered, it can be said that India's chance of winning today's match is really very high. Another thing is that those who win the toss will be slightly ahead. There will be more chances to win especially by chasing. |

To me it is Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan that took the match towards win. If New Zealand have set a target around 180 runs there could've been additional pressure that struggles Pakistan. In the match Pakistan was good in the field, whereas New Zealand was with full of misfield and drops. If not this match could've gone even closer. New Zealand's score was very low and their fielding was not good enough. Pakistan won the match by losing only 3 wickets due to New Zealand's inferior position from both sides. Many have raised the question that why New Zealand did not play big short having many wickets? The answer is they tried but could not. Pakistan Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam They both almost finished the game. Their successful batting performance brought the match to the victory. It can be said that they got a very easy victory in the semi-final match. |
