Please I want to reply the chat of other members and put it inside a box like the way other are doing so I can properly express myself better and give better details to what I want to highlight.
That's a good observation mate, for a newbie and I think this is pretty simple. Just click the quote button in the actual reply of the person you want to reply and edit out the actual chat you don't want and then write at the bottom of the chat and then post the reply of yours.
1763  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: October 15, 2023, 05:30:02 PM
Today I saw children at an ice cream shop in El Salvador paying their bill with Bitcoin NFC cards after eating ice cream.

Paying for 🍨 ice cream in 🇸🇻 El Salvador with a #Bitcoin NFC card 🙌

#Bitcoin NFC Card
On Twitter, a video of a child paying with Bitcoin using his card at a shopping center in El Salvador, I also saw it earlier.

The ice cream is definitely delicious.

Using bitcoin as a means of payment is easier and more convenient.
The child definitely knows the advantages of using bitcoin as a means of payment.
This is certainly the stage we all want Bitcoin to reach through the world, but time is what can tell. El Salvador has indeed pave the way and cleared the road for most nation to know that Bitcoin is very much usable as a legal tender and if all the nation set aside the hate and spread of FUD and FOMO Bitcoin can certainly achieve more than what it's already doing in El Salvador and the rest of the world.
1764  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If not for Bitcoin on: October 15, 2023, 05:25:40 PM
And I have to agree with the fact that Bitcoin will now and forever dominate the cryptocurrency market and remain strong, as we know many previous events have disrupted Bitcoin and it is also predicted that someone will replace Bitcoin's position, but Bitcoin remains strong.
In the future, there may be more coins entering the market, but bitcoin will remain the main one and continue to dominate the market as its popularity and interest will continue to increase. And Bitcoin is the only blockchain-based cryptocurrency that has been built since its inception. In terms of market capitalization, Bitcoin is the highest market capitalization that cannot be replaced.

Bitcoin's dominance in the market will never go away as it is the only decentralized currency with the best security. Bitcoin's dominance will only be shaken or replaced unless there is a coin with superior features to bitcoin. Otherwise, bitcoin will forever be the king of the cryptocurrency industry. As for current altcoins, they are a centralized mess, and were created for the purpose of pumping and dumping, they do not bring any practical utility or application to us. None of them are qualified to challenge bitcoin's throne.
A throne indeed, Bitcoin has certainly set a standard for itself out there in the crypto space and many people are still in the crypto space because of the reliability of Bitcoin. Although most of these altcoins are shitcoins but there is still a fact that we can't deny About some of these coins and that is the ability of some of these coins to also pump very high along with Bitcoin during the bull run and if you lucky to purchase the right coins you can also make lots of cash from their pump although it's very risky because the same way they pump so fast that equivalently the same way they dump so fast too.

1769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If we lose in gambling, what do we need to do? on: October 11, 2023, 11:35:41 PM
If I lose in gambling all I have to do is just to move on, I don’t allow that to affect my gambling habit I mean I don’t use because I lose 300$ today in gambling I will have to use the little 50$ which I have and could have use for other things to gamble again to try luck if I can be able to win my money back, that will be my biggest mistake.

The best thing to do if I lose in gambling is to see it as a lost money and move one with life, until when ever their is another money which can also be risk the same way in gambling and that one should be consider as trying out my luck then next time and not trying to gain back what I have lose before, by doing so I can focus my mind in the game and make the right selection which might at least favor me.
Easier said than done my friend, I can tell you that for sure but although practice makes perfect because it takes time but if you are actually a new time comer in the gambling world but such is different with old gambler because the situation actually feel normal for them to have experience all the loses their have gotten. I don't know about others but in my local Society here there is one viral speech that circle rounds which is "all death is death" which means walking away when gambling is shit for them as they believe is either you win or lose everything which is rather absurb if you ask me but yet people still follow this thought
1770  Other / Meta / Re: Reading / responding to other language boards to learn on: October 11, 2023, 11:28:03 PM
Recently I've been browsing the French subforum of BitcoinTalk - I'm a Canadian who frequently visits Quebec every once in a while - as such my French is rusty but I can understand the basic premise of what's being discussed.

Not sure there's many reading this from those subforums, but actually genuinely curious if anyone else does this to perhaps improve their fluency in other languages. I have tried to post in the past, usually erasing my response due to anxiety of getting sentences wrong - honestly curious if anyone in those subforums would care or mind?
Well I don't know for you though but I think I will be very sincere about this particular reply am about to write because it's actually what was going through ma head  when I was still a novice or should I say newbie here in the forum. I was scared of even attempting to browse other sub local board but although I have my reason why, am not a language person don't know much even the one am speaking is a problem but curiosity wouldn't allow me to rest so I actually go and try reading what is going on but my case is different because I use Google translate to actually get a glance at what is being discussed but never once tried it for writing as I know how strict the forum can be sometimes.
1771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sustainable Approach For Your Earnings in Gambling on: October 11, 2023, 11:20:57 PM
When it comes to gambling; only one thing sets apart gamblers from one another and this is the next step after winning. For me, i follow this simple strategy.

  • I have a go to plans, budget and i bet accordingly to that budget and plan
  • Immediately i win a bet; i go on a 3-4 days betting strike, why? I use this time to spend my earnings as already scheduled
  • For every bet earnings, i immediately withdraw 80% to my account for my scheduled plans; 5% for personal flaunts (You can call it enjoyment haha) and then i leave the remaining 15% to continue gambling into the next win.

With this approach, you will lead a successful gambling life, you will not spend all your winnings on "betting" and you will be able to point to one or two things in your life that you got with betting or gambling proceeds.

Do you think this is a good idea? Do you have a better idea?
Lets have it!
What happened to don't actually gamble for income or profits, well at least this post is sincere but the only issue is that there is control over the outcome of the games played so sometimes we might experience a losing streak then what now follows are you going to do the unthinkable which is actually chasing your lose or should I say winning back your actual capital? Because the case of lose can even occur on your first actually try.
1772  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Bitcoin really risky as they say? on: October 11, 2023, 10:30:38 PM
Yes, It is undeniable that investment in Bitcoin involves some amount of risk, but when you compare the risk factor which lies in its volatility side, and the benefits that we get from it, Generally, the Benefits outweigh the risks when you take a look at the problem it has come to solve in our society today and therefore it is worth taking an investment risk in BTC because it's minimal even when you compare it with fiat that has inflation risk.

just saving fiat money has a much bigger risk than saving bitcoin, you won't know how much the fiat money you have will be worth in the next few years, but not many people realize that, so far I see people are still afraid to invest in bitcoin, they are afraid because they don't have good knowledge about bitcoin, it's really worrying.

Saving the two money is quite risky but I believe there is a level to the risk level to saving the two currency. One has the ability to accumulate value even when it's value reduces over time when the other depreciation with time because the fiat is just a one way journey of steady decline in the price and value of the currency. Bitcoin however it's different because of its ability to serve as a store of value, 1bitcoin remains 1btc despite the storm and tribulation that encounters it.
1773  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need advice on getting merits on: October 11, 2023, 10:25:50 PM
I am curious if he cheated in campaigns with his multiple accounts or not. I am curious if he transfers some merits to his alts or not. If he did not, good job, and keep up the good work. Having multiple accounts is allowed here.
The Op has not earned any merit before, aside from the extra one that was gotten from his local board. During the merit system, maybe a few (s) merits were airdropped to him; I don't know how many, but based on the merit record, the OP has only sent out four merits twice to a user, which I believe can't be his alt. Maybe a lack of merit won't allow his cheating scheme to go that way.

As far as I know, old members received airdropped merits according to their rank and activity. So, Full members received 100 airdropped merits to get their rank, Sr 250, hero 500, and Legendaries 1000. There are a lot of inactive accounts that have not earned a single merit other than the air-dropped merits. So, when I see high-rank accounts without earning a single or very little amount of merits, I tend to think those are sold accounts. The account changed hands. The account owner does not even know if they have a high-ranked Bitcointalk account because of their previous activity. So, if you see a Legendary member with zero earned merits, it means they did not earn it with their knowledge.

You know before now, I never actually understood the real reason behind all these dormat account with lots of Merit until some few months back when I fully understand that there was a time here in the forum when members actually received air dropped merit that gave them the supposed rank that I see most account having. Like what you said most of these accounts lack the knowledge on much things here and this is why some of them still stay stuck till this extent.
1774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will the Gambling Sportybet (Company) Refund the Money? on: October 11, 2023, 10:20:18 PM
I don't think there will ever be a refund in a case such as this because the company actually had restrictions for underage gambling and more over gambling in a young age is actually not supported and the reason would be one as follows as the particular case here, young children mild are not as strong and they easily get influenced and even addicted to such act and this is a perfect example of why there is a age boundary or limitation to gambling.
1775  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: CBN don refute stability allegation threat against it's CBDC e-naira. on: October 11, 2023, 09:42:44 PM
E-Naira has been forgotten long ago, because the government thought that they can ban cryptocurrency and replace it with E-Naira, unknown to them that citizens already know that it is centralized and can be manipulated by our government. So many people rejected it and prefer to continue with cash because it can't be compared to cryptocurrency.

This one that they are coming out to tell people about the E-Naira again, it is like they have seen that it that they have failed and can't deceive crypto lovers. I haven't seen anyone using the E-Naira, neither does the politicians uses it. The country has corrupt leaders and that is why the E-Naira will not work because one transactions can be monitored and these politicians doesn't like such. If it is not bitcoin, it cannot serve as bitcoin.
That's true because the first time wey I even come to notice or even hear anything about this e-naira stuff na during that period of time wey the ban on crypto been dey hot and na one of these commercial bank been dey actually try advertise the implementation of their e-naira on their bank but since when I get that update I never actually see any tangible actions to even implement this update and even if dem try, Nigerians no go really adopt am because of the nonsense things dem wey bank dey do.
1776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you ever feel tired of waiting? on: October 11, 2023, 09:31:00 PM
To be honest, I've had this question for quite a while. I keep seeing people claiming to just hold and hold; it'll take one, two, three, or whatever years for the next bull market. However, I'm often wondering: do you ever feel tired of waiting for Bitcoin to thrive? The past few months, or the whole past year—I'm not sure I've lost track of time—have been quite stale. Bitcoin has been ranging between $25.000 and $28.000 for quite a while. The volatility compared to other periods is lower than we're used to, or at least, to what I was used to in the past.

I feel that there isn't too much excitement and this adrenaline feeling anymore; suddenly you'd see Bitcoin climb or crash; you'd be curious when it'd stop, what your next move would be, or simply feel accomplished seeing your money's value grow. Price movements are quite insignificant at this point compared to the huge pumps or dumps that occurred in 2020 or 2021.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not against holding, nor am I getting frustrated, at least not yet; I did it in the past and regretted it, even though my only source of income is signature campaigns. It's just that sometimes you can't stop the thoughts from circling around your head. I generally didn't bother to even look at it's price, but I've recently started feeling a little wearied. Perhaps it has to do with the life-induced stress that I've discussed in a previous thread. Who knows? How do you cope with waiting?

Well I wasn't there in the past but with what I have I experienced so far here in the forum, I can deduce that the whole "hold" logic with Bitcoin was a bit faster when it comes to the market movement although am not that sure since I just recently got into the crypto space. Although many investor do to tend to freak out during dip and it's quite understand as the dips these days currently stay fixed and it takes long period for a break out to actually occur.
1777  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best Parlay Bets for this upcoming weekend in all sports areas on: October 11, 2023, 09:16:43 PM
Hello all,

Have any of you made great parlay bets in the past? I would love to know what it was! Do you have any current Parlay bets being wagered that you would be open to sharing?

This is practically my area of betting as all my bets are currently on parley option because why? it reduces the amount of money one can possibly lose and it's also a huge percentage base on  luck so I don't think there is any secret to playing parley in betting but I wouldn't say the same thing for those that stake on a single game because the probability of researching about correct stats on the single game but the only thing is that the wager amount will be big if the odds is small which for me isn't much of my style.
1778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If we lose in gambling, what do we need to do? on: October 11, 2023, 06:06:40 PM
Gambling is a place to spend money, although many gamblers consider casinos to be a place to earn money. But in reality, more gamblers lose their money at casinos or gambling sites. So I think all of us here probably have almost the same experience, namely losing a lot of money gambling

I also lost money because I lost on gambling, but maybe not that much. But I know there are people who spend a lot of money for gambling. In your opinion, what should we do if we have lost a lot of money on gambling? Do we keep gambling to win so we can cover up previous losses? or stop and work normally and leave gambling? Or do you have other suggestions?

It depends on how much one has lost. If one has lost beyond his capability then a straight answer would be to stop gambling right away until he covers his losses.
Covering losses should be done by earning more through side hustles and day jobs and not through gambling.
Trying to cover losses through gambling would end up losing even more. If the gambler has lost but within his budget then he can take a short break and then continue gambling.
We all say this, which actually the truth but the facts still stand that this option is really hard to fulfill even for the  so called experienced gamblers. Many gambling would even start up by winning lots of cash until greed set in and at then every perceives a new target. This habit is actually the one that causes that habit of loses that gets the gambler stuck in trying to recover all the winning that they previously enquired.
1779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever heard about financing a gambler? on: October 11, 2023, 05:53:46 PM
How will you feel if someone you know or just a friend of a friend walk up to you and ask you to finance them in gambling in exchange for a portion of their winnings? Does this even make any sense?

Because the only place this makes a bit sense is the skills base niche like forex trading or crypto trading, how can gambling/gambler be financed?

Have you heard of such before? What is the end result if you have?

Why would you trust anyone to gamble better than you can when it's all about luck?

Is anyone doing this on here?

Someone explained this to me, and I believe he is already a victim because to me it doesn't make sense, I believe he is been used because he lacks knowledge about gambling, do you think my judgment is wrong?

I don't know for any other person but I feel this is pure stupidity and I will to think that anyone who actually does this is just trying to certified the urge of him wanting to waste money because there is no base that supports the fact of someone actually being funded due to his gambling experience whatsoever.  Gambling is something that has to do with luck so actually funding someone that is a gambler just sounds pretty crazy for me.
1780  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: October 11, 2023, 05:43:54 PM
If Galatasaray are to win this match, then they will need to capitalize on the weaknesses in Bayern Munich's body of work. Yes their defense has been the highlight of their few matches, and that should be exploited by Galatasaray by creating quick goals. But whether Bayern Munich can apply a better defense or not in this match? That is the problem, if Bayern Munich can be better in defense obviously it will be a 2 times more difficult task for Galatasaray. Actually, they don't need to target victory, especially with a very strong opponent, a draw is a good result for them.
In the upcoming match, there may be some who doubt Bayern Munich's performance because Galatasaray has almost the same strength but it is impossible to beat Munich.
Let's just look at all the players that these two clubs have, of course you can realize that both clubs have almost similar performance but are still superior to Bayern Munich and in this round it looks like Munich will still lead group A and for this match there is a possibility of ending in a draw.

I'm sure, no one thinks Galatasaray has the same strength and/or quality as Bayern Munich, Lol. So, the reason they predict Galatasaray might give Bayern Munich a fight is only because Galatasaray managed to beat Manchester United. But yes, that doesn't mean Galatasaray has the same strength and/or quality as Bayern Munich. Also, although at this moment Bayern Munich looks like it does not have a good defense, but the reality is that Bayern Munich is still very productive in making goals. So yes, even if for example Galatasaray manages to score in this match but still, Bayern Munich will have more goals and will certainly win the match against Galatasaray.
If there is one thing that is certain is actually the fact that the win that Galatasaray got at old Trafford was due to the fact that this united team were currently unbalance and facing some hard time and if that squad was in their prime it would certainly be a different case with that game that night as I believe united would have won that match. I don't think Galatasaray can even stand a chance against Bayern Munich because this Bayern team is totally different from Manchester united and although I don't want to underestimate any team when it comes to football but I feel they don't stand a chance against this inform Bayern team.
