1761  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-12-23]Bitcoin took $ 895 and does not want to stop on: December 24, 2016, 01:30:54 AM
The title of the topic is inaccurate ''Bitcoin took $ 860 and does not want to stop'', better to keep it like it is to avoid misunderstanding
For the psychological barrier of $900 it is already reached and the route is opened directly to break the long waiting $1k
For the glory of BTC
1762  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1000+ is anytime now on: December 24, 2016, 01:09:29 AM
Things getting exciting by the end of the year Smiley
The bitcoin price made a huge jump within few days from $700 to $900 and for the moment it is between $914-918 in the exchanges except for the Chinese which is between $941-943
$1k getting closer boys  Wink
1763  Other / Meta / Re: What happened to kwukduck's latest legendary prognostigative thread? on: December 22, 2016, 08:32:21 PM
he's so often wrong that he's invaluable as a contrarian indicator.

He is valuable, he is one of the most famous members in the speculation board!
His epic fail predictions in almost 100% of times give you an idea when to buy or sale Wink
He might be involved in the spam in the speculation sub but I doubt for the rest (bitcoin = ponzi... It will fall blablabla...) since he used the same words as the bots sometimes
Personally I like his failure, just ignore him and let us laugh a little bit (till he didn't badly break the rules ofc).
Thx mods
1764  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC at $1,000 by Christmas? on: December 22, 2016, 04:45:41 PM
Will we find this gift under our tree?
I am extremely hopeful that bitcoin will cross $900 before year end.A lot of things are happening that are creating huge bitcoin demand

if you will take a look at the current price of bitcoin then you can see that $900 is closely possible for bitcoin to reach . imagine how big jump was bitcoin has made in these past few days Grin lol I though i would only slightly stop on $800 price but became $820 and now it is already $864 and seemed to very close to $900 well it could be possible if there will another big jump of its price we just have to watch what will happen after a few days .

It was $870 when I last time I checked the price 1 or 2 hours ago but now it dropped to $860 of course it is a correction and some people profit from the rise to sell and make a gain
$900 after all isn't impossible either and this end of the year seems exciting  Smiley
1765  Economy / Speculation / Re: touch down to 800$ is near on: December 21, 2016, 06:12:18 PM
I predict 840$ until Christmas and at least 880$ until new Year

It is already + $840 in the three Chinese exchanges  Tongue
Hope only the other exchanges will follow it and continue the positive rise  Wink
1766  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC at $1,000 by Christmas? on: December 21, 2016, 05:03:46 PM
Well, with this recent surge in BTC price, maybe its possible to reach $1k soon. Price has already passed the resistance levels we were previously seeing and is now around $820 ! I hope we do see $1k soon!

$818-825 in the western exchanges is promising but the best part is huobi + okcoin + btcc where the price is around $840-841 which means $900 soon maybe?  Smiley
1767  Economy / Speculation / Re: touch down to 800$ is near on: December 19, 2016, 01:37:05 PM
Nothing happens so close to the end of the year, except dumps, but I doubt they are going to happen any time soon

I don't expect the break of 800 until late in january, but then I don't see a stop in the rise
yes all possibilities can occur. by looking at the graph at this time then we will see the positive movement of bitcoin. bitcoin prices continue to rise, even the volume of transactions looks very nice. bitcoin is increasingly being used by the world community. I am optimistic it will reach 800USD  at the end of the year.

It is almost $800 in the Chinese exchanges
Btcc and okcoin $799
Well huobi crossed now $800 exactly $800,2
Hope the other exchanges will follow  Wink
1768  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1000+ is anytime now on: December 19, 2016, 01:32:26 PM
Looking to the bitcoin price in different exchanges i see that in the western one it is around ~$790 ofc the lowest one is in btc-e with $775 but in the Chinese exchanges it is $799,x almost $800  Smiley
Breaking this barrier will have a positive impact and will open the road to the $1k again but this time is gonna be a solid price  Wink
1769  Other / Meta / Re: I think this would help (and bring back) a lot of bitcointalk users on: December 19, 2016, 01:22:56 PM
Banning accounts isn't a solution since the spammers will create other one...
Banning the whole topic of a shitcoin/scam could help a little bit but another scam will pop and so on...
The only solution is to educate users about the risks and the first thing to learn is to not trust blindly a stranger in the web, a Nigerian prince or a newbie in a forums... This is the ABC of the net, someone ignoring theses rules should assume what he will lose  Undecided

Edit :
Banning accounts isn't a solution since the spammers will create other one...
It is a solution in some way, because they'll get tired registering new e-mails and accounts. Question here is if it would require a lot more time for the MODs (or more MODs).
Handling newbie accounts shouldn't be a problem considering the amount of patrollers on the forum.
Hope that the community will find a permanent solution...

Edit 2 :
The only solution is to educate users..
I'm pretty sure this is not a solution nor is it a feasible one. Given a smaller and finite number of users, it probably would be. However, given a unknown amount of random newcomers I would say that it is not.

Could i suggest a way to trust a whole topic by users preferably by full member +
For example :
Topic name : MMM...  Trust : (-) or 1/10 with x votes then a message will appear indicating that it is a high risk investment...
Maybe this will not be possible in this forums but in the new one it could be
1770  Economy / Speculation / Re: As bitcoins price holds steady on: December 14, 2016, 10:33:26 PM
-snip-
I don't mind the price to stay at current levels for a few more weeks or months. It's a perfect situation for people appreciating some sort of stability at current levels.

I agree totally with you
Having ~ $770 as the new minimum line for few weeks is pretty good and could prevent a future collapse of the bitcoin price and it could be also a nice start to look forward for +$1k in the next months
Waiting for these days with impatience Smiley
1771  Other / Meta / Re: A new tactic employed by die-hard account farmers? on: December 12, 2016, 05:36:40 PM
I figured it out, they have say 100 accounts enrolled in yobit and they post the same message to each account and wait for you yobit to credit it, and then they delete it and post it on another account

No i don't think so.
Yobit counts your posts every day and afaik if you delete a post today then the next day you will start with -x posts if you delete x posts.

For example: yobitfarmer has 100 posts. Today he spammed 20 posts and get credits for it, then he deleted these 20 posts just after, the total now is 100 posts. So the next day even if he makes another 20 posts he will not get anything unless he makes +120 posts in total. This is afaik how the bot works.

They might be using only a part of their accounts enrolled in the same campaign at the same time. So after the enrolled account gets paid, they leave the campaign, delete some posts, enroll new accounts and then start submitting the same posts all over again. Rinse, repeat. Though I don't think it would work on a larger scale, i.e. it is hardly possible for more than one or two account farmers to use this tactic...

Otherwise, they would be quickly caught

This tactics needs a campaign where the enrollment is automated such as yobit and Bitmixer +/- coinroll
The problem is for the first one and the last one they are closed for new participants (coinroll only legendary or staff or vip after a pm confirmation)
For Bitmixer the accounts needs to be senior + and I don't think that Lauda will miss this spam
Not sure if i missed another campaign
what you already mentioned above could be true but it isn't very clear for the moment  Smiley

Will we find this gift under our tree?

in one of our 2016 dream maybe Tongue

I don't think we are going to see that price that soon, my personal prediction is early summer of the next year at the earliest or late autumn at the latest, bitcoin price is growing but I don think we should expect such a huge jump in price overnight.

mostly same opinion here too, it is almost hard to see $1,000 before the end of the year.
I would say 1k is possible at the end of the next summer

1774  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: December 04, 2016, 05:02:35 PM
it could be better min & max in separate column,
but letter appendix is not neccesary imo..
What? How do you mean? Min and Max are currently in a separate column and I added `|` because it makes everything a whole lot less confusing.

Apparently he is talking about the previous / latest table not the updated one in the OP
The OP one is just fine  Smiley
1775  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: December 03, 2016, 12:05:38 AM
can we remove theses abbreviations?
Actually we can't. Not at the moment at least. The A, PNYC, CFNP, and FLUX words are all in the same column as the "Full" column.
-snip-

Thanks for the answer fatanut
The latest table isn't hard to understand once you get used with it a part from the min-max which is confusing i think that separating the 2 is better  Smiley

Edit: it is good, keep up the good work fatanut + Mitchell
1776  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: pocketdice.io scammed 102btc, please help!!! on: December 02, 2016, 11:54:55 PM
LOL WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED IN THIS THREAD?

Also did they pay out this guy?

No need to pop up a shitty old thread that has more than a month inactive, instead you can ask the guy himself.
This topic needs a split then throw more than the half of its posts out to the archival...
1777  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: December 01, 2016, 10:51:34 PM
hey fatanut, i find the new table better than the previous one but i have one suggestion
can we remove theses abbreviations?
Quote
The following abbreviations will be used for campaigns (where applicable):
A   ||   Currently active
PNYC   ||   Payment not yet confirmed
FLUX   ||   Campaign in flux between closed and accepting
CFNP   ||   Closed for new participants

i mean you could just write it in a whole letter like this  Smiley
   A  --> Currently active
|   Campaign ...etc

EDIT: you can also put something like this in order to implement lauda's suggestion
bitmixer.io (Ld) or bitmixer.io-Ld or Ld/bitmixer or 1/bitmixer.io
whyfuture (Lp) or ... or .... or 2/whyfuture
...etc
then Ld -> Lauda or 1 -> Lauda
lp -> Lutpin or 2 -> Lutpin

1779  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: User @vodaljepa is a scammer - many alt accounts are used for scam! on: November 27, 2016, 11:18:35 AM
Offering a service in a self-moderated topic should rise a flag, for me it is a scam attempt until it shows the opposite
Having alts isn't against the rules, banning scammers isn't obvious here, the only thing that could help is by asking a default trust member to give him a negative trust. Crap...
