You're not going to be able to patent it unless it is sufficiently novel, and you've got highly detailed technical descriptions of how the system would work, including the code that would make it run. If it's just an idea, you've got absolutely no hope of even getting a trademark. Though the rules for obtaining a patent vary by country, they're almost always quite stringent—especially if you want a universally recognized one. Here's the rules for getting a patent in the United States: https://www.bitlaw.com/patent/requirements.html"- The invention must be statutory (subject matter eligible) - The invention must be new - The invention must be useful - The invention must be non-obvious" If it doesn't meet these criteria, give up now.

So far, there have been dozens of smart-contract capable blockchains that have launched with claims that they'll exceed Ethereum's throughput.
Many of these have demonstrated superior speed in test conditions, e.g. Quarkchain, Zilliqa, etc. But none of them have achieved even 10% of the success of Ethereum.
This is because it's about more than just speed. Ethereum has an absolutely massive community that believe it will achieve the scaling it needs to thrive. They're not just going to jump ship just because some newfangled altcoin can pull off 4.5k TPS in test conditions.
It would be much easier for them to work with a sidechain scaling solution than a full-fledged alternative. That's probably what will happen.

I am analyser of the crypto market and this time BTC will make a great pump but i hope that the ETH will also go so much up this year and soon all the ALT coins will go up in the market.
Wow, such a comprehensive analysis from Mr "analyser". You do realize that you're saying Ethereum will pump by more than 2,000% by the end of the year and will achieve a market cap in excess of $1 trillion... Do you even read what you write before posting something so braindead? How the hell is Ethereum going to more than quadruple the market capitalization of Bitcoin by the end of the year. Trash analyst, lmao.

Based on the votes, looks like RJJ is going to be adding another loss to his record.
Too bad it's just an exhibition, I personally think it should be sanctioned as a pro fight and count toward their records—especially if it ends in a knockout (which it probably will).
Roy Jones Jr is still active, so I don't get why he's able to lose an exhibition with Tyson without it counting towards his record—it's not like Tyson is an amateur?
I can only assume that Tyson failed the medical tests required to get his pro license.

There's a lot of people claiming they wouldn't steal the money here.
But let's be honest. 99% of people are going to run off with the money. That's $2.9 billion right there.
There are a huge number of people living in third world countries on this forum, many of which suffer from struggles that we don't even understand.
If you're given the chance to save your family, at the expense of others, nearly everybody would do it.
The best scenario would be to just take a tiny fraction of it, such that Huobi can cover the losses—Binance SAFU fund style. This would only impact the Huobi shareholders, rather than the entire exchange userbase.

It is been more than a year now. Many bounty hunters participated in BitAgro's project bounty managed by MKH Bounty manager. I still see the AGRO coin trading on exchanges like AltemX, ExMarkets, Jewex and Waves DEX at around $0.06. As it continues trading for the last one year, we can not call it a scam project. What I feel that project has turned back and not given rewards to any bounty hunter. There is no response from the project side via email or other media. Just want to know if there is someone who also participated and awaiting bounty payment and there is any way to get it.
The project is clearly dead: https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/bitagroThe last trade was conducted five days ago, there is practically zero liquidity for the token. There's just $2 24 hour trade volume at the online exchange it's listed on... Even if they sent you your bounty rewards they would be completely worthless. Forget about it.

There's a bunch more altcoin high rollers these days: Methinks that everybody is playing with their bull market gains, looking to rack in even more profit! Is there a correlation between alt season and the number of altcoin players? What do you guys think?
|
|
|
Why would you want them to?
There's an absolute fuckton of shitcoins already, we don't need anymore overhyped projects that do nothing but ruin a bunch of noobie traders.
If you want ICOs to come back so you can make a ton of money from shitcoins, then there's no need for that.
There's plenty of altcoins already pumping right now, just check out some of the small, and micro-cap coins. We've seen a bunch do 10x, 20x, and even more in the last few weeks.

I guess the $1 million bounty Justin Sun put on his head was enough to send people on an epic man(boy?)hunt.
Just a boy hunt, I didn't think that the biggest twitter breaching in history will just be made by a 17-yr old boy. I thought it was coordinated attacks from an organization scattered around the globe, this is a hell of a blast! But I'm still in doubt that he did that all alone, there must have been more suspects hiding behind this 17-yr old boy. And I'm wondering if they can really sanctioned that boy that crime, he's under age and must be under the protection of state custody first. Let's see if he can social engineer his way out of jail.
If this is true, I don't think such organization like CIA would just let this big brainer kid to sit and serve his sentence in jail. Pretty sure that minors can be tried as adults in exceptional circumstances. Given the publicity of this breach, I expect it qualifies for special treatment. It's really not too difficult to social engineer somebody. There are plenty of 17-year-olds, and even younger that are vastly more intelligent than your average Twitter employee. It wouldn't come as much surprise if we found out that the kid was operating alone. He's probably not some sort of prodigy or savant, since it doesn't take an era-defining genius to trick some Twitter plebs or perform a sim swap attack. I don't think they should make an example of him, but you can bet Twitter users are gunning for the firing squad.

How is creating a thread introducing a new casino not promoting the project?
Just took a look at the site, it's got a decent layout and a bunch of promotions, but nothing that really stands out from the competition.
It's basically a clone of Crypto.Games, literally has the exact same games, except Coinflip which appears to be unique.
Can't seem to find any information about the terms and conditions of the bonuses they provided, e.g. the 0.02 BTC for registering... Surely there are some rollover requirements or something, just like every other casino out there?

Damn dude.
This kid is going to get one hefty sentence. This is identity theft of an extremely serious degree, and could even be considered an act of terrorism considering he exfilitrated the personal data of presidents, ex presidents and members of congress.
There is a 100% chance that they are going to make an example of this kid, I'm expecting 5-10 years in prison at the very least.

It's true.
Not only is Bitcoin too difficult for the average layman to use, but it's also too complicated to understand.
Do you really think the older generation are going to sit down and take the time to understand about transaction confirmations, decentralized consensus, inputs and outputs etc? This is the same generation that barely knows how to use the internet.
I think we're going to need, at the very minimum:
1. An actual fool-proof wallet that take all the difficulties out of the equation—something like BRD wallet is good for this. 2. A scalability solution that brings the transaction confirmation time to practically instant—similar to DASH's instant spend or something like the lightning network. 3. A human readable address system, similar to ENS.
Until we get these, Bitcoin is only going to grow among the computer literate.

Just click the save image button on your chart of choice and you'll be provided the hyperlink to the image.
How can you not know this as a cryptocurrency trader?

What a shocker, the OP wrote the post but hasn't come back to say anything since writing it. Typical scam move, coming in, making some vague post about making money, then asking to contact them via some other way of communication (typically telegram) other than bitcointalk. Thankfully everyone has seen enough of these around here to know better.
Not really sure how it's a scam though, what could he be stealing other than people's time? To be honest, not all signals groups are disguised pump groups (though the vast majority are). Not sure how you could pay a person for performance if it's not artificially looking to inflate a coin's value and secure a profit by dumping on members of the "signal" group though.

Leo Santa Cruz is no joke, but odds are he's going to get KO'd by Davis. I expect Cruz will be up on the score cards for much of the fight, but I think Gervonta Davis will land a combination to put him to sleep in the middle to late rounds. I highly doubt if it goes the distance Davis will win on points, since he'll probs be outscored by Cruz, but that's very unlikely given Davis' knockout record. He's like a mini Deontay Wilder, he's got dynamite in those little ass gloves My bet is in knockout victory for Davis in 7-10 rounds.

It's now July 30th, are you planning to unveil the new community today or tomorrow, or are you going to miss your deadline before launch? (not a good look).
Also, there's already literally dozens of Bitcoin trading communities, including on Telegram, TradingView, here on Bitcointalk and dozens of other cryptocurrency forums...
What does yours offer or do differently?
