I want to get started with cex.io but don't have the money for it. and I can just accept 1-2Gh/s voucher...
Where I come from, if you don't have the money for something, you don't buy it.

No investors at all? Could be a partial investment.
You haven't offered anything that can be easily sold for $1,000 should you default.

It could be a week, it could be months. Either way, it is soon.
As a stern believer in the non existence of 'starfairies' or whatever you call god, do you wish to discuss the topic at hand, vod?
As I posted earlier, I'm interested in discussing with people that are not psychotic.

Hmm.. let say that You will sell 3BTC for 1800$.. wow.. in some countries people have to live with 18$/month but ok, this is extreme. I'll pick country from EU - in some there is average wage 500$/month (average, some got less) and they still live normal lives even able to feed their children (if they have some). So whats the point? Or You are just spoiled and for You are 1800$/month some challenge? ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) (no offence ofc..) I think he is just scamming for donations. ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif)

The idea behind atheism is the non existence of god. This logic is inherently flawed as itself is a negative. Non existence does not exist. To say non existence exists is a fallacy. It is like a riddle.
Likewise, nothing is nothing. You cannot be nothing, nor can you become something from nothing, nor can you become nothing from something. Existence is eternal.
You may conceptualize nothingness, perhaps as darkness or void, but you cannot perceive nothing, for nothing does not exist.
Try not to get hung up on the title, you may perceive atheism to exist, though the basis of atheism itself does not exist.
Former atheist that used to believe in nothing.
Dude - how much longer until you are killed? You keep saying "soon", but it's just dragging on and on...

The problem is with the death sentence that Americans refuse to understand is that killing someone could end up being one of the worst mistakes of your life, think about how many corrupted cases we've had where we've had actually innocent people thrown in jail only to get a half-assed apology afterwards and no compensation for all the time they took away from that persons life? We've seen the way filesharers get treated for instance, these guys just uploaded a file to the internet and they're getting far more jail time than murderers and rapists ever do, what if suddenly they expanded all crime to have a potential death sentence attached? You may think it's awesome at first but just wait until it happens to somebody you know or even you get put in jail and you're potentially on death row.
I've seen some particularly shitty judgements about people on this board and even just on this thread where people are jumping to conclusions left and right and think that the time should be shortened before you execute somebody. I think I'd gladly be called a criminal in such a society because whenever the Americans in particular get together on something and decide that somebody has to die it's always based on flimsy logic and guess work rather than solid facts.
You only need to look at Iraq and Afghanistan to know I'm right because it's the exact same thing when it comes to declaring wars and commanding the military.
Hopefully such an era is coming to an end with the cheap and readily available DNA matching. Killing someone in the name of justice only makes sense if you are 100% sure.

So I put up my miner on craigslist, and I've had some interest in it. One guy is asking me to connect to btc guild under his bitcoin address so he can monitor it running for an hour to see how it works. Is there a way he can hijack my machine to always mine from there on out? Is there anyway I could get screwed by letting the machine mine under his info in the pool? It sounds sketchy.
Let me know what you guys think.
He can't hijack your machine - all he can do is "steal" your mining power by asking you to mine for him for an hour.

On this topic I will share the experiences of my journey living with 3 btc for a month starting today on January 16 2014.
Is it 3btc a month or 2btc a week like the topic title? Were you in such a hurry to post that you forgot what you were doing? Please don't ask for donations - it is a good way to get your topic moved to the trash can. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

I personally don't even believe using the death penalty is just. ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Yes, the guy was a sad excuse for a human being, but killing him or making him suffer like that won't change anything: she will still be dead, and others will still do the same thing. We should focus on how we can prevent this from happening again. I agree with you since the crime was committed in 1989 and he is only being executed now. Why would you americans pay for his food and lodging for all these years, just to kill him now? Once a person has been found guilty and there is zero chance of error (like DNA matching), I say put the person to death within the week. Don't spend any money on him. Only then does the killing of a person make sense.

Prison officials gave intravenous doses of two drugs, the sedative midazolam and the painkiller hydromorphone, to put McGuire to death for the 1989 rape and fatal stabbing of a pregnant newlywed, Joy Stewart. Sounds like a luxurious way to die. I wish I could be so lucky, but I haven't raped or murdered anyone. ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif)

Let's call it what it is: A loan feeler.
That's exactly what it is. OP - if you do not provide collateral, you will not get the loan. It's simple and straightforward. You don't need to waste time asking our opinion.

If you pay off a BTCJam loan early, do you get a break in interest?
This is an important question, since scammers use the term "refinance" to justify taking out additional loans before the current loans are paid off.
If you don't get a break in the interest, you can't really refinance, can you?
I really need to hear from someone who has paid off a loan early on BTCJam.
|
|
|
I do intend to repost my consolidation loan request in some form or another, and it would really appreciate it if you would not interfere. It is not ponzi, it is refinance.
You have loans out for 7.5btc right now. If you try to borrow anything further without paying back these loans, it will be treated as the ponzi it is.
|
|
|
We'll see in 7 days, when all three of your loans are due, and you'll pay over 1btc in interest alone. If you manage to pay these off, without resorting to taking out new loans (that is a ponzi), then I will be happy to remove the negative trust I have given you. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

My day job is the business of lending
Which raises a giant red flag. If you actually are a professional lender, why are you paying out 15%-20% on these one week loans? A professional would go purchase the coins himself and save 20%. But you keep paying out 20% over and over again. ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) I can see a legit user needing one loan, maybe two if they handle their money poorly. But a professional lender who keeps borrowing over and over and paying interest?

Well it should also probably be an example for people accusing others of scamming with no basis other than a hunch.
Hardly a hunch. Anyone can look at your BTCJam history and see you took out a number of small loans and promptly repaid them to build reputation. Then you took a $2,000 loan, then a $2,500 loan. You haven't repaid those, and now you're asking for another $5,000 loan. (you've cancelled that $5,000 loan and now asked for a $3,000 one instead) Obvious is obvious, but we will know for sure when your 20% loans come due in a week. https://btcjam.com/users/9705

theymos doesn't want to upgrade the forum because he has a bunch of customizations that will need to be ported.
The rumor I heard was that Theymos has contracted a company to build a new forum from scratch.

Don't bother asking for a loan if you don't have the collateral to back it up.

Email sent. Hello Lior,
I am writing to you about one of your employees, Andrew Benson. He has come into my community and has taken out several loans worth $10,000.
He is claiming that Guardian Financial is guaranteeing these loans.
We are concerned about this, since he is showing a pattern of a scammer. He took out several small "reputation" loans for amounts of $200 and promptly paid those back. Now suddenly he took out a loan for $2,000 and another loan for $2,500. These have NOT been paid back yet and he is now asking for a loan of $5,000.
Can you please reply and let us know if these loans are guaranteed by your company as he states? Will you cover the losses should he decide not to pay back?
Thank you
