1781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is an investment on: February 01, 2021, 06:08:27 PM
I bought a bitcoin what 0.0003 BTC last year November with only money that left with me when I finished my program and named it investments, many of my friends started laughing that my money has gone and bitcoin will fall and is out of surprised bitcoin moved to 19k, 20k, 30k and 40k, so I'm excited for having double of my btc within some months, I want to know if I will sell it or withdraw it, because is a investment money not for spending.

Bitcoin was a good investment because of the limited supply/high demand in the market and great digital technology as well. investing last year in November was still a good investment considering the pump up to 40k$.

However, 0.0003 was just a small amount of money the lower your investment the lower your profit is gonna be if you want a higher profit you need to buy a higher volume to multiple your investment.

I would recommend for you to invest more for higher profit don't sell yet probably the fee in withdrawing is high and the fee was your entire investment already.
1782  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Burned Bitcoins on: February 01, 2021, 01:45:56 PM
Some bitcoins are died because of the forgotten private keys or lost wallets, some of them died because their owner died and some of them will be never in the system because technicaly they are burned in the adresses like :

1BitcoinEaterAddressDontSendf59kuE
1CounterpartyXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXUWLpVr
1xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxy1kmdGr
1dot1xxxxx1sv1xxxxxxxxxxxxxwYqEEt
1See1xxxx1memo1xxxxxxxxxxxxxBuhPF
1BURNED4fBBJPNBUzytg6Q3HVj7uFGBxNE

Why people send bitcoins to the "burned" adresses? What is the philosophy behind it?

They were not really burned bitcoin because they still exist and it's not the same with the others where we used the term burn where we literally deleted the token existence.

I'm not aware of this kind of address, how do they know that it is already a lost bitcoin or the owner is already dead? do they know the identity of the users?

At some point we never know if maybe if they would know it's a lost bitcoin already they could confiscate that funds may be depending on the wallet. But for sure this lost bitcoin slightly adds strength to the market of bitcoin decreasing the supply in the market.

1783  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sell my bitcoin from 2010 on: January 31, 2021, 02:06:43 PM
Hello
after 12 years i remember i bought bitcoin in 2010
is it possible to sell more than 50,000 bitcoins at once or is it better to sell direct to a private individual like grayscale or microstrategy?

Well, Congratulations if it's true your a billionaire now but we doubt that Grin.

It is possible to sell that amount of bitcoin there was really no limit as long as there were volume in the market you could sell it off, the problem was your cant sell it all at once since its a high volume your gonna need to finds a high volume market for that but if there is one you could easily sell it off. We rarely see orders in over 1-4 bitcoins, most of them are lower than 1 bitcoin. Also, you might experience some issues especially in cashing out because some might have limits in it. It's better to sell it in percentage it's already a huge amount of money but bitcoin is still a good investment so through the years you could probably sell 5 BTC and then 10 in the coming years.
1784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 4 investment strategies to make Bitcoin less stressful on: January 31, 2021, 10:58:27 AM
We've been in a bull run but investing in crypto isn't that easy,it can be damn stressful..most of us are usually obsessed I.e, checking our crypto wallets every half an hour if not minutes
Few ways to remove your emotion from investment
*Never invest into Bitcoin more than you can afford to lose
*Don't borrow to buy btc
*Vary from btc into alt coins
*Buy and trade btc in a trusted and legit platform i.e, binance.. Smiley

Investing and trading are really stressful especially if you trade daily you need to actually analyze a lot of charts that you invested in and as well as coins charts that you wanted to make an entry.

I guess the best way to avoid this stress in trading is to just buy bitcoin or any investment in cryptocurrency and then completely forget about it, and then go for a long term investment.

With the method, you could easily earn a good amount of profit since it's a long-term investment and at the same time theirs was no pressure or stress since you consider that money as a lose already.
1785  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Nababahala ba kayo sa Ripple? on: January 31, 2021, 08:52:40 AM
<snip>
Yep. May talo pang kaunti.
Bakit ayaw nila magpabili ngayon? Paano po nagwo-work yung ganong system? Newbie lang po kasi ako. Salamat po sa sasagot! Smiley

1786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DOGE To The Moon on: January 30, 2021, 03:41:00 PM
Today I saw the price of DOGE very high on the Binance exchange, I immediately sold all the DOGE that I have. After I found out why the DOGE price hike was due to tweets from WSB Chairman and Elon Musk. I wonder. Why do famous people's tweets have such an effect on the price of an asset?

I guess it could be that we are still in the cryptocurrency bull run, it would be difficult to reach up to 1$ since it would need around 128 billion$ market cap.

Be careful trading the DOGE coin in the market as it could easily liquidate your funds, I already see some people that lose up to 10,000$ in futures trading because of risking it and believing in this DOGE pump.

Everyone already sees it as a short-term investment only, or maybe wait for the lowest price possible again and then reinvest. I would trust another project like ADA, DOT, ETH than this meme coin. But still, we can't deny that the pump could easily make a huge profit.
1787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So this is it big players now rob small traders on: January 30, 2021, 03:11:26 PM
Very disapointed the big crypto players now rob small players !

The crypto suppousto be freedom and nice but now everynody realise its worse then bankers !
Irs been few days traders losing money coused of the irganised issues from big plYers.

Sad very sad

I get your point since whales or big crypto players could somehow manipulate the market by dropping a big volume investment same as pumping the market price buying high volume investments.

But as we know this is just how the market works, and we know the risk of getting and starting into the market sometimes you lose and sometimes you win in your trades. So do not invest everything you have in crypto just invest what you could afford to lose. Even big crypto players experience losses as well as small players.

Still, there is always an opportunity in the market, and even as a small trader, you could still make that profit, depending on your trades.
1788  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wait for the dump on: January 30, 2021, 11:05:16 AM
Bitcoin is dumping!! Is this going to a repeat of 2017? Remember what happened in March when covid hit? The second wave is here and btc has been pumping despite that. What do you guys think? $100k still happening this year?

Bitcoin at this point could easily reach a high price in the market at some point, for me, it's just normal for bitcoin to get a bit of a pullback for now considering the pump in the last month reaching a new ATH in the market.

The number of articles that a millionaire or celebrities that are investing in bitcoin are really on-trend right now, plus as well as Elon Musk himself changing his bio on Twitter into Bitcoin.

Easily the market price of bitcoin spike in just a matter of minutes reaching up to 38,000k$ in the market, at this time a lot of people believed in bitcoin plus this influencer. In my opinion, we could easily break the new ATH at any moment if we break the resistance.

1789  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Advantage of cryptocurrency above other currency and stock market investment on: January 30, 2021, 07:38:15 AM
1. The growth level is high
The cryptocurrency market is still at a growing and developing stage. It is still a green horn type of business that many are yet to discover. People currently in the business are still regarded as early adopters and the market cap is still lesser compared to fiat.
So the percentage increase will be massive in the future.

2. Diversification of your business
It gives the opportunity of trying out another line of business instead of focusing on just the traditional kind of business that is fast disappearing.

3. 24/7 open for business
This is unlike the usual type of business that we have been used to. The cryptocurrency is not a stop for weekend business. It windows are open all day, morning and night.

4. Price don't remain up, it is a bear and bull market
What you need to do is to wait for the bear to go in. The bears are also signal to sell off if you decide.

5. There is more big and institutional buying going on.
This will bring potential for big gains because more investment will go into it. The whales are creating more grounds for bear and bull making increase volatility which is good for investment.

*There was no limit in cryptocurrency, you could buy a high volume of cryptocurrency and you don't need to buy a whole bitcoin.

*Cryptocurrency is much volatile than the stock market, giving a much more potential profit for the traders.

*Crypto has much lower fees compared to stock, usually caused a few dollars per trade.

I usually earn a good profit in trading crypto, stock is probably more on long term investment(most of it).

1790  Economy / Exchanges / Re: KRAKEN - COINBASE down!!! on: January 29, 2021, 11:55:54 PM
It's already back online the maintenance was just a few hours if I'm not mistaken.

They limit the market probably because it already congested and they said that they experience some connectivity issues so they needed to limit them. Other exchanges like Binance also issue some limit when it comes to withdrawal, I'm guessing it is related to the sudden pump of the DOGE token in the market, and they have a campaign for new users that could be a reason why they suspended withdrawals.

it is stated that the system cannot create addresses fast enough for the new users that are coming in, but after a few hours, it is already back online again. But they might also be just limiting the transactions since  they are a exchange.

1791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is there nobody talking about DOGE? on: January 29, 2021, 08:52:33 PM
No one actually expected this pump from the DOGE  Shocked Shocked

In just a small-time with already exploded up to 1000% in the market and already trending around so many platforms, with a low price in the market you could easily buy a high volume of the DOGE and high volume investment could easily be a big profit especially with that pump.

Too bad I remember I bought this coin in the poloniex exchange I just can't access my poloniex account anymore because of the 2FA issues anymore hopefully I recover it in time.
1792  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide] How to get your first crypto Visa card!! on: January 29, 2021, 07:59:32 PM
Great topic very informative, I was planning to get the crypto.com Visa card since it was just a great card and a lot of privileges.

I was just a little skeptical of the CRO staking and the platform because of a lot of changes in the platform like what happened in the MCO token but overall I think crypto.com is a great crypto visa card that we could use.

It's a metallic card as well as a nice looking card, hopefully, could be useful in the future if crypto is already widely used as a payment option for buying things.
1793  Economy / Speculation / Re: I doubt Bitcoin will dip below 20k again on: January 28, 2021, 10:16:58 PM
Too many institutions and big money behind it now!!!   Whats everyones opinion explain?BTC

I agree with that, the demand in bitcoin and investors are just way higher than before, even around 25k$ surely investors are just gonna invest in bitcoin no matter what for the possible profit.

Investors could easily increase its market price plus there are so many articles of million-dollar investors in bitcoin. But probably it could still happen but for just a short time.

But surely bitcoin would easily recover from these dumps in the market no matter what, I'm also hoping for a deep to hopefully reinvest some for more profit.
1794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Last 2017/18 Bull Market compared to Current One on: January 28, 2021, 08:40:29 PM
The last ath 20k bull market back in dec 2017, btc has hit 14k support from ath 20k five times before finally breaking 14k support on the 6th time it hit it. From there it was end of the bull market entering the bear market. It took about a month to break the 14k support on the 6th time

Fast forward to today are we seeing something similar today with the same winter months like back in 2017/18, everything looks the same except everyone now is saying this is early stages of the bull market run by big institutions. If that's the case then it should not break below the 30k support right Huh We can see btc has hit 30k support twice from ath 42k. So after another month from 42k ath are we are going to break 30k support around 7th feb to enter a bear market like last time?

That is most likely what would happen in the bitcoin market price, but if the support break at 30k$ it could probably go even lower which I hope so to reinvest some again in bitcoin.

It would continue to dump around 20k$ if the support breaks since the market would probably panic sell for short-term investors, but it's probably a good investment already for low volume.

But still, there are so many factors happening that could possibly affect the market price of bitcoin but we can't accurately predict what could happen exactly, it could easily end up differently from what happened in 2017.
1795  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you check the code of open source software? on: January 28, 2021, 06:49:30 PM
That's hard to believe  Grin probably most of us do not even check all of the codes or sometimes we don't even visit it, personally, I don't even reach those lines, as well as not everyone could reach programming language.

Most likely some applications or software that is open source we just need to see some feedback from the community,  after that it's good to go already.

There are so many open source applications that are used and trusted by the community that you might probably already using did you read the source code of that one? I don't think so.
1796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do if Bitcoin hits $1m in the future? on: January 28, 2021, 10:11:13 AM
Many people are talking about Bitcoin hitting $1 million USD in the future. Crypto enthusiasts are very optimistic, as they believe their dreams will come true with a Bitcoin halving taking place every 4 years. If Bitcoin hits such price levels, many early adopters will become millionaires. It could be tempting to either sell all of your Bitcoin or "hodl" it for the long term.

What will you do if Bitcoin hits $1m in the future? Will you sell all of your Bitcoin for cash? Or will you go long in the hopes of Bitcoin reaching higher prices on the market? Will you donate your profits to a charity? Just curious to know. Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley

Probably I cant just hold bitcoin forever, it's my investment but in the end, it's a currency, and I would probably spend it if I think that I made a big profit already from it.

Yes, we could still expect the market price to continue to pump in more years even if the market price is already 1M$ but at some point, it would not make sense to me if I will not use it at all and just invest.

Maybe my sons or my family could use it in the future, but I guess we invest money in bitcoin for the future and make a profit in that investment so that we have the funds in case we get an emergency.
1797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can we expect a dip, slump or pop soon? on: January 27, 2021, 06:17:56 PM
I have been looking over graphs of some of the best alts as well as BTC and obviously there has been a huge rise in the last 3 weeks... Same on the stock markets also.... What is going on?

Will corrections or pull back kick in soon?

I keep reading even experienced traders are unsure about the next few weeks or months.

What is the likely % increase AND/OR decrease for BTC, ETH, LTC, and most of the alts in general?

Will BTC hit $25k and will ETH hit $700/900?

We already experience a lot of pull back in correction in the altcoins in the past weeks, so far its affect a lot of the potential altcoins in the market as well as the bitcoin dropping to 29k$.In Bitcoin i was expecting more of a pull back soon, but if the bitcoin pump again for sure it will be huge again easily, ETH as well.

I trade daily in my account with a lot of altcoins and i could see a lot of deeps or opportunity to invest in a short term investments, for now its better to reinvest a low volume in bitcoin and then invest again for a higher volume when the price continue to fall.

There are a lot of altcoins opportunity and the price drop and pumps are just normal since cryptocurrency have a much volatile price compared to stocks, usually stock take years to increase its price since that is companies.
1798  Local / Pilipinas / Re: BREAKING NEWS! Philippine Central Bank Widens Cryptocurrency Regulation on: January 27, 2021, 05:21:40 PM

  • Sender information
  • Receiver information
  • Amount
  • Purpose

~

1799  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you give your BTC to Elon for Tesla Car? on: January 27, 2021, 04:08:00 PM
Asking the few people who has BTC to spare and buy a Tesla.

source

Nothing wrong with spending it I guess but let him buy more from the market. He and his company got plenty of fiat to convert to BTC anyway.

For sure bitcoin is a better investment than a Tesla but I guess there is no problem if you have a bitcoin that you want to spend on since bitcoin was a digital currency and it was made as a currency to buy something if you can afford it you could buy it.

People just go for investment because it was just better for investment at this moment and not really as a currency that you could spend but there is nothing wrong if you want to spend it the only point is you gonna lose your profit when suddenly bitcoin increases its price for example up to a 100k$.

In my opinion, it would make sense just to use fiat than bitcoin in buying this tesla  Grin to avoid regrets in the end when bitcoin is on the moon again.

1800  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best exchange out there??? on: January 26, 2021, 05:49:49 PM
The waiting time usually depends on the used payment method (bank in this case). I doubt that changing the exchange would be of any help.

Not sure what you're trying to accomplish exactly, but if you're looking to make some profit from the price volatility, then I would suggest using Stablecoins (USDT, USDC, etc.) instead of fiat.

I Agree, usually its instant depending on what option you choose.

3days is a long time, But i dont experience any of this issues in Binance exchange.

I guess you could give it a shot, probably a lot of members here is gonna recommend binance as well as one of the top crypto exchange available, depositing could be make by p2p transaction, debit card or deposit crypto. In my experience usually just take a few minutes to receive the deposit in your account. The interface was easy to use as well as their are tutorials in the website, you could ise referral codes to lessen the fees as well as using BNB or being a VIP.
