1781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why People Still Gamble? on: June 12, 2023, 08:00:08 PM
[What people say these things? People gamble all the time and don't have these tendencies. Casinos are filled with people who are there just to drink a couple beers and have a good time. Some days they win, some days they lose. Doesn't make them bad people. What is your source?
Probably it may happen to someone he knows. It can be in the scenario of someone's dad or mum knows about their is child gambling. What can make it easy are offline casinos or most especially those betting agents where anyone can go and gamble with very little amount of money. If the parent know about it, such a thing can happen. But not all parents care because not all gamblers are addicted and some parents will not know that their children is gambling.
1782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why People Still Gamble? on: June 12, 2023, 03:54:47 PM
You may not know if someone is gambling these days becusse of online gambling and because you can be using your smart phone and computer without anyone knowing. Parent may not know that their child is gambling.

Upon all these allegations against gambling. People are still Gambling. WHY? Is There Any Mystery Behind?
Don't you know that gamblers are not only children. I mean over 18 years old children. Also know that someone's dad, mum, uncle, aunty or grandparents can also be gamblers. Anyone can be a gambler.

People gamble for many reasons, and one of them is the easy money, the fact that you can double up your money with a single click is really attractive, and we know there is a risk, and that's why we should gamble only with money that we can afford to lose.
Even in a casino, you can easily find 3 odds in a way that you can triple your money in just 20 to 30 seconds, but this can be otherwise at times, depending on your luck.
1783  Economy / Gambling / Re: Question about casino, sports bet on: June 12, 2023, 01:15:13 PM
I'm not sure about Apple Store but Google Play does accept Gambling apps if they meet certain requirements set by them,
No gambling site app on Google playstore too.

Listing the apps is not the issue, the main problem is that there isn't enough demand from gamblers to their favorite cryptocurrency casinos to make mobile apps because people like gambling on bigger screens like on laptops of PCs, and, security is also one of the reason why casinos don't go for it.
Only the gambling sites can know which device or apps that most gamblers are using. More people are using phones to access internet now, unlike before that computers are more used. Phones are now designed in a way they are capable to be doing what computers are doing, unlike before. The more better phones are created, the more people are using phones to get access to gambling sites. Many are using phones today to gamble too.
1784  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Exploring Decentralized Exchanges (DEX): Advantages and Challenges on: June 12, 2023, 12:40:38 PM
What you are referring to are those smart contract exchanges which some people are called decentralized exchanges. The decentralized exchanges known for me are those like Bisq.

On smart contract exchanges, they are specific to a particular blockchain. Example is Ethereum blockchain which you can only trade ether and ERC20 tokens. Another example is BSC and Binance Beacon Chain which you can only trade BNB, BEP2 and BEP20 tokens only. Is that not centralized? You can not trade other coins and tokens that are not existing on the specific blockchain, which makes them not to be decentralized.

Enhanced Security and Control: DEXs prioritize the security and control of your funds. Unlike centralized exchanges where you have to deposit your assets, DEXs allow you to retain control of your private keys, reducing the risk of hacks or theft.
It only enhance control, not security.

Also know that the smart contract exchanges are more susceptible to hack even than centralized exchanges. Smart contract exchanges are often hacked than centralized exchanges. But centralized exchanges is also not good because they are not your keys on the exchanges.
1785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy or hard to quit? on: June 12, 2023, 12:13:34 PM
Can you quit gambling if you make a life changing money and never go back to gambling?
I am not gambling to make money, I gamble for fun, but making sure I am not wasting money on gambling. But if my work takes most of my time, I will prefer not to gamble because I put where that I make money from to be first.

Have you ever won a high amount of money from gambling and managed to not lose them all back to gambling? And to date, you are still gambling?
Yes but not so big to make a life fortune. I do not know how to answer this than saying that I have weekly budget for gambling which is very small in amount and I do not go more than it.
1786  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: June 12, 2023, 10:51:22 AM
Is it not too early to be discussing about 2023/2024 UEFA Champions League? We are heading to pre-season which should be what we supposed to be discussing about for now. I mean pre-matches and transfers.

  • UEFA Champions League is the first cup of Europe. After Europa League and Conferences League.
Why include Europa League and Europa conference League together? Conference League was founded in just 2 years ago in 2021.
1787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: June 11, 2023, 11:04:10 AM
Congratulations to Manchester City and Manchester City fans. Before the match started, I predicted and told my Manchester City friend that this year is the club year and luckily is was as I predicted. Manchester City had won premier league and other cups in England before, but they are yet to win Champions League in Europe, the club make that the thing of past yesterday as they won Inter. What I noticed this year is that Manchester City players are just too good and they worth the winnings.
1788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Casinos Include The Sport Spogomi In Their Platform on: June 11, 2023, 10:45:14 AM
The sex as sport in Sweden was actually fake as said by the users in that thread. They do have a link about it being just a fake news.
Spogomi is quite unique but this sport is just too new and people have no idea yet about them. I doubt it will be added on betting sites. I think the sport will need to have a big community and fans first.
That sex sport will be lie even you should know if you are reading it because that is the definition of pornography.

That is what I will say too, that it is new, the first Spogomi world cup will still be this year. Although not new in Japan where it was founded in 2008.

But I did saw this one on youtube. It seem like these are the guys who invented this sport the first. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eseowyjZ8Gw
That YouTube video is 2019. According to what I found online, Mamitsuka Kenichi invented it. You can see that in the OP topic post too.
1789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Casinos Include The Sport Spogomi In Their Platform on: June 11, 2023, 10:31:09 AM
According to my findings, this is the first time that Spogomi go internationally, because 2023 is the first Spogomi world cup. Although Spogomi is not new, it started in Japan in 2008 which is aimed at good ways of collecting unwanted materials/trash in a specific areas and dropping the unwanted material in the correct places in categories. This is nice to know about.

As it is going internationally and more countries are knowing it, more people will watch it and know the rules and how they can gamble with it. Probably with time, gambling sites may start to include Spogomi as one of the sport people can gamble with in their sites.

Gambling sites will first make their findings too, to know how people are watching Spogomi matches, how locally in each country too that they love watching the sport. The more people watch it, the more gamblers that know about it. If many people are watching it and well recognized, gambling sites will introduce its gambling into their site.
1790  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can They Find A Way to Do It To Bitcoin? on: June 10, 2023, 09:22:52 PM
Bitcoin would have been controlled if government can, but as of today, you can still use noncustodial wallet and decentralized exchanges. Bitcoin still remain to be censorship resistant and decentralized. Satoshi tried his best to make bitcoin an asset and a commodity, just like gold in digital form.

Centralized exchanges are centralized and licensed and they have nothing they can do than to face more regulations.
1791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Confident Are You In The Reliability of the KYC system on: June 10, 2023, 05:14:36 PM
Take note, Casinos will ask or demand a KYC if there's a big winning involved, is this one of their ways to scam their players?
Ignorance makes gamblers to fall into KYC problem. They can win big, they should expect KYC to be mandatory before they can withdraw. If you check even no KYC exchanges, you will noticed that all of them have certain limit that they will not require KYC, but if the withdrawal limit is exceeded, KYC is required. I think this is always well stated in the terms of service of the gambling sites which are trustworthy.

KYC verification can fail due to some reasons, like fake documents being submitted or poor lightening for video verification (for casinos that go that far), but the actions of these casino's should be to try to ensure that the user sorts the challenge and pass the verification process.
If the gambling site is a trustworthy site and people do not have much complain about KYC document rejection, the reason I think verification can fail is because of what you have said already, especially if the document is not clear enough to proof the identity of the person. It is not only low light that can result to that because some documents are not quality enough and the ID document becomes no more clear like before and becoming fade.
1792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stop gambling (sports betting, casino e.t.c)? on: June 10, 2023, 05:01:54 PM
There is a reason a gambler is addicted, that is what that you should tackle. Most addicts are seeing gambling as a way to get weekly or monthly income, while some can be addicted because they have nothing special that they are doing and getting themselves idle. You should let an addict know that gambling is not a way to get weekly or monthly income unless he is fooling himself. If it is because of idleness, he should get things he will be doing. There are real life examples that you can let him see, people that gambling make their lives turn into something they do not want. Gambling is good in moderation, but addiction is very bad and can turn someone's life into something not good at all.
1793  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Gambling is different from trading on: June 10, 2023, 01:03:42 PM
I am a gamblers and I am a trader. This is my experience:

Trading can take all your money, just like gambling. Trading can take more of your time like or more than gambling. As gambling is addictive, trading is also addictive.

You just have to discipline yourself in both and use the amount of money that you can afford to lose to gamble or trade.

While trading is a skill that you will learn and understand the basic factors that can hinder your trading not to be successful, a trader can notice it's mistakes after loss and make corrections while a gambler mistakes can't be corrected because it deals with prediction.
A gambler can correct his mistake after losses, but gambling is luck and using just little amount of money that you can afford to lose. Some people will trade and continue to lose too, just like in gambling, it may even be more.

Both are risky, both require different approach too.

When we study trading very well there is no way we can trade in a month without making profit
But there are many traders that are gamblers, I mean they think that they are trading, but they know nothing. Also there are many with ignorance. Many of them calling themselves traders are losing too.

and as a beginner in trading we don't need to start trading with money that we can not afford to loss
Also use the money that you can afford to lose to gamble.

while in gambling so many people gamble with their salary and last money.
Also in trading

So I prefer trading more than gambling because it is a skill and it can be controlled.
I too prefer trading than gambling because the possibility of making money is more in trading than gambling. Trading also require skills like you said before and if planned well, profit can become reality, but people should know that trading can be as dangerous as or more dangerous than gambling.
1794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Crypto another form of gambling? on: June 09, 2023, 03:52:14 PM
1. Play games of chance for money; bet.
2. Take risky action in the hope of a desired result.

The second one seems to fit crypto best, so it's clear they know what they are saying.

Now, do you agree that crypto should be seen as a form of gambling? And if this eventually comes through, what should we expect as the constraints it might still bring to the crypto space?
Bitcoin is not gambling, only what it requires is speculation, but some people do not learn about bitcoin price history and speculation but they just want to invest, more especially during bull run when they fomo.

Most altcoins are gambling.

If you need proof that bitcoin is not gambling, I can give you detailed analysis about it as it seems more to be a store of value over long term period.
1795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you guilty of promising not to gamble for specific days but back next day on: June 09, 2023, 01:41:54 PM
If you are a good gambler, you need to discipline yourself. Discipline is very important for you not to lose more than you are expecting. This has happened to me in gambling before, but it is just an addiction which you have known and need to stop doing.

In life, do away with greed, learn how to control your emotion and completely discipline yourself.
1796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is There A Time That You Calculated All Your loses In One Year on: June 09, 2023, 12:24:58 PM
Gambling is for fun for people that just make it fun and entertaining. But if you think you want to make money from gambling, that is when it would become something very difficult and it can lead to money loss. All I can say is that people should take gambling as something fun and nothing more. Just use small amount of money for it, an amount of money that you can afford to lose.
1797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to get over it on: June 09, 2023, 09:13:42 AM
How do I get over the countless failures? I’ve been chasing the $1,000,000 dream for years.
I was just like you when I was addicted, but I was using lower amount of money if compared with the amount that you are using. Not that low, high for me. I did always went all in and I may see 20x in return, but at one point, I will fail and be broke again in depression.

Take gambling as fun and use little amount of money to win little instead which is better.
1798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CBDC competing with bitcoin on: June 08, 2023, 07:43:24 PM
The new innovation by the government is a way to imitate bitcoin but still not up to the standards of bitcoin which is a decentralised currency. CBDC is nothing different from an online banking, I'm sure the reason for central bank digital currencies is to stop to stop people from adopting bitcoin.
It is not even only about how decentralized bitcoin is, bitcoin is also an investment, but fiat is an asset that will make your money value to continue to decrease. What a certain amount of fiat can buy this year, it can no more buy it in the next five years. Saving fiat is like government is scamming you.
1799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Apple Vision Pro and its Implication in Online Gambling on: June 08, 2023, 04:04:54 PM
Is this better on Oculus VR?
Did you mean better than? I will say so, but also very expensive. Apple Vision Pro cost $3500 which is more than expensive. But it is the best that I have seen. According to the review I have watched before it is eyes sensitive. If you look at apps on the vision pro, the app will detect that as it increases in size, and if you want to click on the app, only what you need to do is to touch your thumb with your fore finger and it will click. Apps and everything is controlled by your eyes and your fingers. It would be of nice experience, but the battery is not strong and it is too expensive. Some VR devices are requires you to connect to PC or console though, while Oculus VR like Quest or Meta Quest 2 last 2 to 3 hours after fully charged.
1800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Apple Vision Pro and its Implication in Online Gambling on: June 08, 2023, 03:47:36 PM
According to two YouTube videos that I watched after the Apple Vision Pro was released, they said people should take note that it can only last two hours after it is fully charged. Some people may want to track their gambling activities like in sport betting, this can not much be of any help. But it would be of good experience for casino users.

With what I learn about it too, only apple apps are still there for now. With time developers will have app there too. Likely it is using a different OS that is not iOS and macOS. But for gambling sites to have apps for it, it will take time. But if there is web browser, it can be used to access gambling site on it easily.

Another thing is that wearing this for long may not be that comfortable at all.

Also isolating yourself to do things on this thing may be kind of weird for people around you.
