1781  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: November 2022 worst month for cryptocurrency newbies here is lessons. on: December 11, 2022, 08:24:38 AM
I never think November is the worst month for crypto newbies especially if they want to invest in crypto. I mean they came at the right time as the price of crypto has dip a lot over the last 1 year, in fact it is very possible they could make a lot of profit in the long term if they started investing during last November.

But of course there is a valuable lesson to be learned from this mess especially they need to keep their eyes open about the risks that exist in the crypto space especially when they trust a centralized exchange 100% without a doubt of the bad possibilities. Of course they will learn and then they will also know that a centralized exchange is not a safe depository wallet in the long term. Luna and FTX should be the reason why they can't 100% believe in crypto and something centralized. There is always a risk even if they invest in bitcoin but don't know how to store it safely.
1782  Other / Meta / Re: So many threads on FIFA World Cup 2022 on: December 11, 2022, 08:15:30 AM
I just had a look at the first page of the Gambling Discussion Board. It was my surprise to see 5 threads on FIFA world cup 2022 on the 1st page. I didn't bother to check 2nd page or other; don't know if there are more but I guess there will be a few more threads as well.
Why moderators didn't lock/delete all this garbages? I guess there's no need for all these threads; having 1/2 is more than enough I guess.
It's true that there were some duplicates on the same topic and discussion during the World Cup, but if you think it's a problem and a moderator needs to act on it, please report the thread. Let the moderators decide, but I think it's actually very possible the moderators have noticed even without this thread in the meta.

Are all these threads necessary? Are they really different from others? I guess having one thread would be great to reduce spam; though the board is full of spam.
In this case, not all threads with the same topic are needed. Everyone can concentrate on one thread for discussing the World Cup, but for thread like thread owned by hilariousandco, it can be excluded.

But will that solve the problem? No, there are always problems especially regarding spam.
1783  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reasons why the 95% of future traders lose all of their money on: December 11, 2022, 08:00:49 AM
Most of newbies including traders and investors are gamblers.

Why are they gamblers but they think they are traders or investors? Because they spend money to invest or to trade without knowledge, without their own research.
Don't be in a hurry to come to a conclusion because it is very possible that what you think is actually not what is the fact.
Indeed, there are some traders or investors who are unable to do analysis or research before investing, but by having basic knowledge about trading and investing, they are also said to have something to strive for. Buy low and sell high is the foundation of successful trading and investing, especially if they are confident and willing to invest in bitcoin instead of altcoin.

My one thought on investing and trading, investors and traders just need to know how the market works and how they can make a profit. One fact is that if they want to be long-term holders then maybe a really detailed analysis is not really needed, especially if the asset of choice is bitcoin.
1784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 11, 2022, 07:54:04 AM
Indeed the premier league will be unpredictable because Newcastle are going to retain that position,or better still go further to be in the second position because  they have all it takes now to remain in the top four.
Newcastle still has to struggle to maintain their good performance considering they still seem to have many weaknesses compared to other competitors. Newcastle are more likely to drop points against top teams due to quality factors and technical strategy, but if the players play very well together then they are sure to get a good result.

Beating a top team is not an easy task, but it is very possible with good teamwork and a solid defense. I still have a lot of doubts about Newcastle, they just don't seem ready for a perfect season.
1785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 11, 2022, 07:25:49 AM
Yes, statistically Morocco lost far from Portugal, but they were able to take advantage of the opportunities that existed.
I don't think so, Morocco have some good stats compared to Portugal and that is when they make counter attack. It's just that Morocco failed to take every opportunity there was to score a goal, but that's normal because the game's tension was very high and the focus was tight on defense.

The Moroccan coach is certainly very aware that technically they are outclassed by European teams. But with a collective style of play and great support from their supporters, the Atlas Lions' mentality doubled. Their goalkeeper deserves more appreciation for being able to withstand the onslaught that makes his opponent quite frustrated.
Morocco were very brave in the first half before they scored. Their performances were good and they didn't do much wrong. Their strategy is to score goals and defend and counterattack to threaten the opponent's defense or add more goals. Luckily Morocco managed to score first and they started to switch to defense because Portugal pressed very hard. The Moroccan defense is really good and difficult to penetrate, but Portugal with the quality of their players also came close to scoring quite often but unfortunately Yassine Bounou really saved them all very well.
1786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Strong Hands Are Buying on: December 11, 2022, 07:06:55 AM
There are all kinds of ways to attempt to project out how long it might take a person to reach fuck you status - if things go correctly, and there are a lot of people who work 30 or 40 years or more and they never make it to fuck you status.  So, just making it to fuck you status would be a great thing..

Let's say that you are pretty young and you are in your early 20s, you could project out starting with $500 per month investing ($6k per year) and then perhaps seeing your income and the amount that you are able to invest go up through the years.... .. so you can project out an average rate of return and even attempt to figure out whether you are able to be consistent in your investing and even to be able to keep up with the cost of living increases.
It makes more sense to expect a profitable investment to change living standards in 5 to 10 years than to work your whole life in a job that is increasingly hated because of its ridiculously low salary. Most people can afford to work 20 to 30 years for a company that pays them a subpar salary, but it would be very strange for them not to be able to wait for their investment to provide a commensurate return in 10 years.

Many people complain about the low salary they get from real jobs, but unfortunately they never find a way to change their economic status to become more prosperous with investment. I'm talking about a lot of people outside the forum or other than the crypto community, which makes no sense when I have to hear their complaints day after day while they have no choice but to endure and accept reality.

So far I am really grateful for what I have earned and invested. I haven't come to the conclusion that status is to damn to think about, but the more I ignore it and enjoy whatever I get today the more enjoyable life becomes. So maybe in the end status is bullshit, but I think a lot of people have gone crazy chasing a better status.
1787  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and investing, and still very broke.why? Is it spiritual? on: December 10, 2022, 06:18:29 PM
There is no mystique, no absolute luck, trading and investing is something that should be based on your knowledge, analysis and strength of funds. The more knowledge you have about investing, know how the market works, know how to do analysis, then everything is very possible to get. After all, the price of this crypto asset is very volatile, so this can be both profitable and detrimental, so there is no certainty whether this investment will make you a billionaire or even go bankrupt.

Investment and trading should also be something that should not be forced. You can't invest blindly without being able to have good emotional control when the market doesn't match your expectations. Patience and emotional management are two important things that can really help you get good returns when your investment assets become more valuable.
1788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Strong Hands Are Buying on: December 10, 2022, 05:53:16 PM
Let's say that the person who has a $3k per month income has been investing 1/3 of his income $1k per month, so if his income ends up going up by more than the cost of living (goes up to nearly $4k per month.. and maybe cost of living is $3,500, so then has an additional $500 per month to do what s/he likes), then s/he can choose the extent to which to invest that extra income or to increase his/her standard of living.. and it does not need to be all or nothing - even though there could be some advantage and incentives to invest with the money in order to either accelerate the timeline of getting to fuck you status or to increase the odds of getting to fuck you status... which maybe instead of taking 40 years to get to fuck you status, the investor might be able to get to fuck you status in 30 years.... or maybe less time to get to fuck you status if there might be some greater luck along the way... .. both preparations and luck.. but not just expecting luck without making preparations along the way.
I hope I understood something from the quote above, especially about the time it takes to achieve success in investing. Not everyone will succeed from their investment within 1-5 years, most require a longer time, namely 10-30 years. However things can be different when we invest in bitcoin especially when they invest heavily on down cycles. I would think investors do well to earn good returns if they are willing to be long term holders or when they are taking advantage of price cycles.

I believe bitcoin investing will provide good returns if we take advantage of down cycles. I mean when the correction has reached 70% since ATH, then this is the best time for investors to take profits by investing more. Accumulation can be thought, buy on the dip and obviously these are the best of times.
1789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 10, 2022, 05:33:51 PM
Yesterday Neymar was crying because of Croatia, and now Ronaldo is crying because he lost to Morocco 1-0.
and soon we will see England against France, will it be Kylian Mbappe or Harry Kane who will cry next.

in the game Portugal is very good compared to Morocco, and only the Moroccan defense is very tight and also very solid to save the goal, so it is difficult for Portugal to score goals and also a very good goalkeeper for Morocco.
If Spain's defeat in the round of 16 against Morocco is called a coach's mistake, then whose fault is Portugal's defeat to Morocco in the quarter-finals? Is it because of the coach's mistake for not trusting Ronaldo in the main line-up or because Morocco is better?

Again and again, Yasin Bounou is one of the best goalkeepers in the World Cup and he really has to win the golden gloves this time. His composure, confidence, mentality and skills really need to be appreciated. There have been a lot of saves from him in this match, of course I think he is the best in his position, no two.
1790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 10, 2022, 04:06:15 PM
extraordinary. Morocco was able to break into Portugal's goal. and the temporary score is now 1-0 in favor of Morocco. totally surprising and unexpected. this is what makes Morocco really worth reckoning with even from the group stage. Portugal cannot be complacent. and if careless then this is what happens.
There were still 45 minutes left in the second half and it looked like Portugal would make the difference. Portugal are statistically superior to Morocco, especially in possession, but Morocco excel with the chances they create to score.

Actually, Portugal had to avoid conceding first tby Morocco, but it was very difficult because Morocco kept pressing them. I was looking forward to the second half, but it looks like Morocco will be more defensive than the first half.
1791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 10, 2022, 03:20:40 PM
it can happen, in the game of football nothing is impossible, and morocco could have knocked out portugal today, and morocco would be the first african team to reach the semifinals,
Of course, I know that nothing is impossible in football and no matter how low Morocco's ranking on FIFA is, they also have a chance to win.

Football is a team game, so when the team works well together and plays well they have a chance to win. However, the probability of victory will be predictable based on the quality of the players they have, and here Portugal clearly has a high advantage in terms of the quality of its players. But I don't think Portugal will underestimate Morocco, they shouldn't especially after Morocco knocked out Spain.
1792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 10, 2022, 01:45:59 PM
We are really surprised by the unusual results, betting sites have already made a lot of profit, I guess. Yes, if Ronaldo against Messi in the final, it would be a spectacular match, but against Morocco which successfully winning against Spain before, is it possible Portugal will win today? Let's just hope they can get a win without a penalty shoot-out like yesterday's match, to be honest I don't like penalty tension.
After Spain was eliminated in a penalty, all other teams including Brazil and the Netherlands also had to be eliminated in a penalty shootout. The difference is that Spain was eliminated in the round of 16, while Brazil and the Netherlands were eliminated in the quarter-finals.

So of course the next two matches between Portugal vs Morocco and England vs France are really difficult to predict. There is a possibility of the same scenario, but I don't expect it in Portugal vs Morocco.
1793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 09, 2022, 09:59:45 PM
Well it's going to penalties but this has to be the best single day of the quarter finals ever.  The Dutch in the last second brought it to extra time and Croatia down 1 in extras in the final minutes scored as well.  Argentina looked the better team today so I hope they go through.  Netherlands looked good for about 10 minutes but that's all it takes.
The Netherlands struggle ended, Argentina won and qualified for the semi-finals against Croatia. Congratulations to Argentina, I appreciate their hard work in this match. This match really drained a lot of energy because the winner must be determined until the penalty shootout. Emiliano Martínez is the savior with his 2 penalty saves, he is really living the Argentine dream at this time. I hope they will reach the final in this World Cup, anything is possible.
1794  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My advice If you are here to make money on: December 09, 2022, 09:49:37 PM
Specific on the futures, for the newbies do not futures if you are new to it.

It is highly recommended that you shouldn't get into it. And this isn't only just for the newbies.

Also the old timers, if you cant bear the risk of futures. Just do not do it, I have seen a lot of lives ruined by it.
I will try not to fall for futures trading although some strategies can be profitable too. Right now I tend to focus on long term investing rather than trading, but I can still take advantage of trading something if I have good momentum. Futures trading is indeed profitable, but the risk will be very high for those who do not know how to control their emotions and are too greedy. Ignore futures trading, this is my current way of staying focused on long term goals.
1795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 09, 2022, 09:27:30 PM
The world cup is getting crazier in the quarter-finals especially because there are many matches to be decided by penalties. Brazil lost on penalties against Croatia, and now the same scenario is very likely for Argentina against the Netherlands.

I think Argentina will also be out today following Brazil. The two teams drew each other and haven't scored a goal in extra time at the moment, so now there's only 15 minutes left before going into the penalty shoot-out. If it comes to the penalty round, then I think the Netherlands will win.
1796  Other / Archival / Re: [Merit] Help newbies and those who have a little left to the next rank on: December 08, 2022, 03:06:29 PM
To be honest I'm applying this because I do need merit for signature campaign some of campaign need at least 5 for applying their project.  Sad
It's not as bad as it sounds, and you have been honest about what your goals really are. I never thought that you would be blamed for trying to get merit to qualify applying for signature campaign, but you may want to review the thread rules before submitting your application.

You will get merit if the quality of your post is really decent, meaning that without applying anywhere you will also get it because people will appreciate your quality, not your wishes. The merit system is useful for assessing the quality of user posts, but not all posts will be rewarded with merit because the distribution of merit is very subjective among users. So you just need to try to post something quality, and I think only that will help you get merit.
1797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: December 08, 2022, 02:56:16 PM
many people still doubt Barcelona even though they are currently at the top of the standings, I don't think this is a coincidence because if you look at Barcelona's statistics this season it has increased quite significantly.
and Real Madrid are also still very strong for this season but if you look at the opportunities between these two teams to win the La Liga title I think both of them still have the same chance.
there is no higher percentage, whoever the team between Barcelona and Real Madrid is able to be consistent until the end of the season will win the La Liga title because the quality of the two teams is not much different and very good.
As a Real Madrid fan I can truly say that Barcelona's attempt to compete in Laliga is neither coincidence nor luck. Barcelona has proven that they are better than Real Madrid at the moment and that is proven by the points they have earned in their last 14 matches.

In Laliga there is no stronger team than Barcelona especially after they only conceded 5 goals in 14 matches, that is Barcelona's good record at the moment. I admit that Barcelona have improved a lot this season, but unfortunately they fell short in the Champions League. Barcelona is a strong team right now based on these statistics, they hold a good record so far especially regarding the number of goals per game, ball possession, shots on target, lowest conceded and so on. Player statistics are also amazing, I must admit that.
1798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: December 08, 2022, 02:43:36 PM
When it comes to age, you can't do anything when age is no longer by your side, particularly in football game which involves strength, agility, Mental energy, and lot more to play. Looking at his performance in this world, it's clearly seen that he has nothing much to offer in the field Play, and I don't really think that he suits the kind of striker that Chelsea needs right now.

However, buying him is still not that bad since he's on free transfer and there are other striker already in Chelsea.
If previously Chelsea could consider Aubameyang whose quality is not comparable to Ronaldo's, then I think Chelsea can also consider Ronaldo for at least 2 seasons. Short-term contract shouldn't be much of a problem for Chelsea and Ronaldo so I think he's still good for the Premier League especially for teams that need a striker.

But I don't know if Chelsea are interested in signing Ronaldo or not, but his attitude with Manchester United at the end of his contract seems to have been Chelsea's consideration before offering him a contract. So Ronaldo's current situation is really difficult, but he's still a striker worth relying on.
1799  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins future is Bright on: December 08, 2022, 02:32:20 PM
The dips, dumps and pumps are all just part of the volatility of Bitcoin, as long as Bitcoin has not been adopted fully yet. But as you said, it is only a temporary phenomenon which will resolve itself without doubt. It is not happening for the first time and not for the last time. This is engrained deeply in the very nature of Bitcoin itself. Thats why I hodl and trust Bitcoin. Cheesy
Price volatility is a dynamic for bitcoin, and it's important because that's the only way traders and investors make profits. I can't imagine bitcoin being a stable asset in the future even if adoption becomes widespread, and I don't think that stability will be with bitcoin but its volatility is very likely to decrease.

Price volatility cannot be eliminated in bitcoin because bitcoin is a decentralized asset. No one can control the price in the market but manipulation is possible by those with strong financial power. But that's not a problem for bitcoin as a whole because bitcoin is basically freedom.
1800  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will not become the world currency. on: December 08, 2022, 01:32:13 PM
After I figured it out, I no longer expect Bitcoin to be recognized by the state, and it doesn't need to be. It is part of a special asset, not a currency.
So I don't think Bitcoin is going to become a fiat currency.
OP, you should know that bitcoin was created as a currency or means of payment. Bitcoin is a new currency that you can use for unlimited transactions, it is not controlled by any government and authority and is completely decentralized. If you don't agree to recognize it as currency, that's fine because you may have other options for making transactions. The fact is bitcoin is not the only currency accepted in this world and bitcoin is not the main currency, so bitcoin should be an alternative currency for anyone who needs it and supports it.

Governments can certainly consider bitcoin as a currency and adopt it, that's because they know what its advantages and advantages are over fiat. Even if they will never do away with fiat, then they know what bitcoin's economic value is.
