1781  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance to remove USDC as a tradable asset. on: September 11, 2022, 01:38:28 PM
USDC has a huge marketcap and binance shouldn't have included USDC in the list.
I guess this is a smart move from binance to make sure BUSD is in the race.
So may be they are trying to take advantage of their own platform to secure some marketcap for BUSD.
And why not? Usdc is not a scam coin and for a big exchange like binance, they should have this in the list because almost all the crypto exchange do also have usdc on them. It has a huge marketcap so the coin deserves to be listed. Only those who are being removed are the coins with less and no volume because they consume space for nothing. I don't think this is a smart move from binance but I already see a big hate coming from them.

This is also a big loss from them as there are traders who are using the usdc pair but I think they won't care. What's important to them for now is that they will make their own stable coin on top.

The bolded part is exactly why I said that it is a smart move from binance. They are making their own stable coin on top by this move.
USDC is by far one of the best stable coins out there but binance is removing it. This will definitely give a negative short term impact on binance.
But this will get them a long term benefit. Also, I guess they are not removing USDC completely since they are converting USDC into BUSD directly.
1782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 11, 2022, 07:17:15 AM
The money is flowing into exhibition matches because there are famous names getting involved in those matches.
They are creating a good hype for those matches and hence the tickets are being sold anything.
For example: Logan Paul vs Mayweather match was really hyped and gained a lot of attention.
For old boxers, of course, titles are no longer the main focus for them, they will offer to compete in exhibition boxing fights if the pay is worth it, as in the fight between Mayweather Vs Logan Paul which is quite sensational and strange because in terms of achievements, it is clear that the fight was not worth it, but because Paul Logan has a lot of money and his influence as a YouTuber will certainly be an attraction for the audience to watch the fight, so that Mayweather does not hesitate to accept the challenge and earn quite a lot of money eve though their boxing win record is very much different, namely Mayweather 50 wins while Paul Logan 0 wins.

That fight between Logan Paul and Mayweather is literally a straight pot of honey especially for the latter because Logan Paul is a perfect opponent in an exhibition fight, not because he has some talents in boxing and can fairly challenge Mayweather but because Logan Paul has a vast loyal fan base that will really support him whatever he does.

And for Mayweather, knowing that fact alone is already enough for him because he is already assured that their fight will bring them big revenue, and yes it happened.

Although everyone knew the outcome and treated the match as a purely entertainment event it's still funny to know that the match ended in a draw.
This makes the point stronger that exhibition match are mostly scripted otherwise Mayweather would have been declared a winner already.
1783  Economy / Gambling / Re: Drake vs Stake part 2 on: September 11, 2022, 07:10:31 AM
I agree with that. Drake is indeed a genuine and lovable person for he has done a lot of good deeds.
He has also shown it in his songs. It's good to see Drake in the crypto community but there some allegations on his influence on stake.
Genuine and Loveable? You cracked me up. Do you have any idea as to how many controversies he has been part of so far? He is your typical celebrity basically.

Oh well, I don't much about Drake's controversies because I just listen to his songs and that's all.
But after reading your post I just googled it and found a lot of controversies he has been into.
I guess he's not that lovable after all  Grin
1784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To all 100x hunters out there on: September 10, 2022, 02:43:39 PM
OP is partially correct. 2017 did show us that not all the coins in the top 20 can sustain in the crypto community.
Many projects just go down the drain and never come back up. But at the same time it does not mean we can't invest in them for a nice profit.
The coins mentioned by OP in the post are some potential coins and few of them definitely can give us some really nice profits.
I have invested in a few of them and I think they will certainly make 3x in the next bull run.
1785  Economy / Gambling / Re: Some Crazy Fun Facts About Casinos And Gambling You Might Not Know. on: September 10, 2022, 02:31:53 PM
Women do know when to steal the show, on the given link by @OP I read that the first legal Casino license is issued to a woman.  I was like wth, gambling is dominated by males during those times let alone by mobsters and gangsters.  So I was surprised when the first legal Casino is established by a woman named Mayme Stocker in 1920 for the Northern Club.  She was a wife and a mother, but her husband does not support her so she pushed its legality and opened the Casino herself.[1]

[1] https://www.ranker.com/list/casino-facts-and-statistics/kellen-perry

I am surprised with that fact. I never knew that the first casino was opened by a woman.
This thread is turning out to be an eye opener for many people who gamble.
It's a pity that her husband didn't support her but I guess she would have made an incredible income by opening a casino.

For those interested in FUN token premium investment experiment, I've just posted in the official thread at Securities forum board the third episode of the series containing results from the last month:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5405945.msg60912522#msg60912522

The results there suggest that you can do good if you have that huge number of FUN tokens of near or just over 500.000 of them. You can use the 16 daily spins or 480 spins monthly and sure that is an added bonus to your Freebitco.in balance.By seeing that thread you are making me go back and invest heavily in fun token,to go at least at the 250.000 range,it is a good added value to use the Premium Benefits or to just lock them for a short amount of time, when you have a lot of them even locking for 15 or 30 days make sense.Well done to you.

Wow, he must be having a lot of money in BTC to make that kind of an investment in FUN tokens.
The interest is quite decent but what I like the most is the fact that he is getting a decent interest rate as well as so many WoF spins.
This is a good way of earning passive income but unfortunately I can't afford to make that kind of an investment right now.
1787  Economy / Gambling / Re: Drake vs Stake part 2 on: September 10, 2022, 02:17:21 PM
I love this kind of videos, also seeing Drake competing against stake is something that is on another level, for me it is, unfortunately I couldn't see the live broadcast, but when I see it on a delayed basis I see why Drake is so loved in many aspects, I know that many people can cause feelings of envy, but seeing that Drake does so many charitable works and cares so much about others is something that causes a lot of emotion and more if he is a very influential person and who does so many things so well, I like that he uses all that fame to do good things, if the most famous people were or had a bit of Drake, they would make a difference.

I agree with that. Drake is indeed a genuine and lovable person for he has done a lot of good deeds.
He has also shown it in his songs. It's good to see Drake in the crypto community but there some allegations on his influence on stake.
People say that stake would have paid Drake to gamble on their site so that they can use it as a way of promotion.
This may be true because this is how many gambling sites get a lot of traffic on their sites these days.
1788  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How To Become A Profitable Trader with stop loss and trailing stop loss on: September 10, 2022, 01:39:12 PM

Although trailing stop loss is a good feature you should reconsider your strategy and plan accordingly.

Trailing stop is good but it has it own disadvantage also. If the stop loss is done, the trade direction can go on but you will be out already.

If you set a stop loss at the same price wouldn't the order get executed in less than a minute.

Setting a stop loss very close to entry price or same price will not be possible because it will not trigger or activated if you don't allow for certain space between the entry point and the stop loss because the platform has some charge on the trader.

Yes ofcourse, everything has their own advantages as well as disadvantages.
Trailing stop loss has some disadvantages too but every other order type has it too.
It just depends on the individual on what is their preference for the same.

1790  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How To Become A Profitable Trader with stop loss and trailing stop loss on: September 09, 2022, 04:02:41 PM
One of the mistakes that I am making and that prevent me from being a profitable trader is that I do scalping and I lose a lot of money with the fees.

But now I have discovered that binance offers the possibility to trade without commissions for a limited time. So if I set the stop loss at the same price as the entry price (or one cent below the buy price) it should be relatively easy to be profitable.

On the trades I lose I would only lose a few cents and on the trades I gain I would gain much more by using the trailing stop...this commission free trading sounds too nice to be true, doesn't it? is there a catch I don't know about?

If you set a stop loss at the same price wouldn't the order get executed in less than a minute.
We know how volatile the market is and 2% - 3% fluctuations are very normal in crypto.
Although trailing stop loss is a good feature you should reconsider your strategy and plan accordingly.
Try making a few practice trades and then consider investing bigger amounts.
1791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are all crypto gambling charges expensive when it comes to USDT? on: September 09, 2022, 02:49:39 PM
$19 transaction fees for USDT is definitely huge. I generally play on BC.GAME and currently its charging $4.5 transaction fees which is still way less than $19.
As others have mentioned you can opt for TRC20 chain and get a much cheaper transaction fees.
I guess they have increased the transaction fees because many people decide to play with USDT and so it would benefit them on increasing the fees.
This basically shows that this site is definitely not user friendly.
1792  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: WARNING! SCAM SITE on: September 09, 2022, 02:39:31 PM
Does BC.GAME outsource their software to other websites as well ?
I get it that there should have been some kind of scam in order to treat this as a legit scam but isn't cloning a website a theft in itself?
If BC.GAME doesn't outsource their software then this is a classic theft and most probably this website would try to scam their users in future since they have copied the software from other website.
1793  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 4 Bitcoin Traders Arrested Due To Illegal Trading on: September 08, 2022, 04:19:34 PM
Bitcoin is famous and journalists like to portray bitcoin as a negative influence on people.
Have you ever seen any positive news about bitcoin on TV ? Mostly no right.
So whenever bitcoin is involved in any crime the journalists put the limelight on bitcoin as if it is because of only that the crime had happened.
People should understand that it's because of the negative mind of the criminals that crimes happen.
All the other things are just a catalyst.
1794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS DEAD! on: September 08, 2022, 04:14:24 PM
So does that mean the next best crypto i.e., ETH is going take the first spot since it is getting the upgrade to PoS ?
But we see that ETH price is falling too and that is because the entire market is falling.
We have seen such posts previously as well and we just have to wait until the next bull run to prove you wrong.
Just keep waiting to see bitcoin rising again.
1795  Economy / Gambling / Re: BC.Game-🔴🔴🔴BET RED IN CRASH!🔴🔴🔴 Find More Unique Games! on: September 08, 2022, 02:58:51 PM
Unofficial but official:
Bc Game is now officially a sponsor of Argentina Football Team in the coming 2022 Football World Cup- https://twitter.com/afa/status/1567513030233145346?t=yT2TXfUt3SlgFDJQj8L_cA&s=08
Though they don't have a huge presence in bitcointalk, they are very much active in promoting in various way. This partnership is certainly going to be huge for them in the coming days. I think this has added a new height for them.

Wow, that's pretty huge. I am surprised BC.GAME has gone at such a huge level for promotion but I am really for them at the same time.
I have known BC.GAME from a long time and it feels good to see that they have partnered with one of the best teams playing in the world cup.
Hope to see more. Cheers.

Past week's weird for me, I don't get ads or captcha for maybe 2 years or more now, and that used to include WoF until this half week, now I have to do captcha (2 rows) and it's all about longhair cats lol

Not complaining, just I had to look up what long hair cats were. I guess they meant long FUR.

Sorry for almost random Wink

Isn’t that’s really weird that now we have to keep doing the captcha all the time and that too with unwanted image references. I think these companies should come up with different ideas to confirm whether we are humans or not. I don’t know, I think old school was still best riddle (1+1=2) and when we had to understand the words. The current captcha system is overrated and it’s many times makes it complicated for small pass way.

The old school riddle (1+1=2) "was" best but it was easy at the same time. It can be easily automated and hence bots can crack this kind of captcha easily.
This is why advanced captcha methods started to popup and since bots were able to crack them as well we now have complicated captcha methods.
1797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 07, 2022, 04:23:17 PM
as this type of boxing match is still selling tickets, the promoters behind this activity will continue to take advantage of this situation. but would be nice if they are setting-up good exhibition matches and not just because of clear intentions of pocketing the money from the boxing community. from time to time, we need entertainment. but should at least worth our pennies. and not just pulled out from somewhere, where the "boxers" themselves are not ready to rumble inside the ring.

There's a risk too on the side of promoters as they should organize an exhibition match that is really living the hype.

They can't just form a match randomly just because they want it. I do agree that there will be more people that will still support exhibition matches as long as those fighters involved are worthy to watch.

A fight between a famous one against a non-popular one can also do the trick. I don't know but money is really flowing at exhibition matches.

The money is flowing into exhibition matches because there are famous names getting involved in those matches.
They are creating a good hype for those matches and hence the tickets are being sold anything.

1798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dealing with ISP block on Gambling websites on: September 07, 2022, 03:50:58 PM
Hello there,
I tried accessing TrustDice today, which is one of the first cryptocurrency casino's I've been introduced into, but it wouldn't load, claiming that "Connection is not private". I thought something was fishy at the moment, but quickly realized that it was actually blocked by my ISP.

How should I deal with such an issue? I certainly thought of using a VPN, but I only have a free one, meaning that it could easily be used by another person on the website simultaneously, which could potentially lead to a ban. Stake and Fortunejack are also banned, after making a few guesses, Roobet still works fine.

You can create your own free VPN using free tiers on cloud platforms like Google cloud platform and Amazon AWS.
There are tutorials on Youtube which you can refer to create your own free VPN.
This VPN will have only one country by default where the cloud server would be located.
Since this is solely your account so nobody else would be using that IP address other than you.
So your problem will be solved.

This is the way to go if OP wanted to have an exclusive IP while using VPN, but I think OP have to buy the service that will host the VPN right?  Anyway, I also have problem accessing slots game due to IP restriction from the slot game provider, and I also have the same concern with regards to using VPN even though I am using the premium one.  I might try this one and see if am knowledgeable enough to setup a personal VPN server.

@OP I would suggest you to spend some money for either premium VPN or this VPN stated by pawanjain.  I believe your country isn't on the list of the restricted region so I don't think you will be banned by using VPN as long as you correctly stated your country on your casino profile.

As I have mentioned in my post that there are "free tiers" that are provided by cloud platforms that can be used to setup a VPN server.
There are tutorials on youtube to achieve the same. I have done it once for study purpose and so I can share you the link.
Here the person is using an Amazon AWS cloud with free tier and has configure Open VPN to access the free VPN.

1799  Economy / Gambling / Re: Some Crazy Fun Facts About Casinos And Gambling You Might Not Know. on: September 05, 2022, 01:27:23 PM
This is the first time I heard about gambling in prison, and I am surprised that the authority allows such activity.  As far as I know prison is created to sanction criminals not to let them enjoy casino lives.

You need to watch some documentaries about the community in prison in some countries.

Didn't you know that some prisons are having a much luxury life compared to the usual community outside? Yes, a place where prisoners won't feel they are in an actual prison because of the community there.

That includes having a gambling place inside. What's confusing is, how these prisoners or people there have money to spend on gambling.

There are two ways people in the prison can get money. People in prison don't sit idle but they have to do the work they have been told to.
The work assigned to them sometimes might yield them some money.
There are also prison where the family members can give the prisoners a limited amount of money to buy things inside the prison.
I have read both of these online and can't guarantee it's truth but I think this is how they must be getting money and I guess spending them on gambling.
Could it be possible? When you are in prison then having money wont really be that useful because you cant use it inside because  prisons wont really be having some casinos inside
or stores where they could make out purchase unless if there are some shady activity happening around then it would really be that relevant and also we know that prisons
are really strict to possible contrabands which they wouldnt really allow external sources or passing up things from outside even from its family members.
If this happens then its really just too funny that prisons arent really that prisons at all.  Cheesy

There are some prisons where prisoners can earn money by their work assignments.
Also, prisoners can use that money for their basic hygiene and other things.
There is a article published on this matter. You can refer it here.

1800  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What I've learned after 3 years building an algo trading bot on: September 05, 2022, 01:12:31 PM
Wow, 3 years is definitely a good amount of time. It seems like you must have worked really hard on this bot.
But what happened eventually ? Is the bot ready for action or are you still working on it.
If it is ready then can you please post the trades or some info on it's ROI.
May be if it's giving decent profits then you can sell your bot to others and gain additional income for yourself.

The bot is proof of work and in production mode for more then a year now, meaning running 24/7 on real money. Makes monthly profit on the portfolio no mater what the price or trend is.
My focus was on creating a constant weekly, monthly profit over time, while the bot is totally autonomous, and it has to show has to show consistency of profit over time, Achieved both goals.

Gave some thought  on developing a user interface for it but at this time, i'm not into supporting hundreds or thousands of customers. maybe in the next phase - an autonomous user support..

That's great but you still haven't mentioned the ROI because that's what grabs peoples attention.
It's good that you are gaining consistent profits but can you show us how much profits you are making a month.
It's hard to make money in a sideways and falling market.
