17821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does martingale really works? on: May 29, 2015, 03:41:59 AM
Just for fun, I'll add my thoughts to the thread.

Dooglus was spot on with the details of the 'method' used, but I'll recap so you can judge my sanity.

I decided to try this 9% martingale technique to see if I could reach 10k clams before I busted. That should make it pretty clear I was very much aware that busting was inevitable. (I guess  Grin)

First, I created a little bot that would bet on 40 accounts up to 10 clams at 9% over 110 losses. At this point, I would get a message on my phone and JD chat that would alert me of a bust. I would then transfer 100 CLAM to the bot that busted from one of my primary accounts. At that point, I would just hope lady-luck was on my side and bet cautiously.

I had countless people tell me to quit and take my winnings and run. However, I see no thrill in that and I was on a mission to 10k. Someone asked how much I lost, my answer is 5.5k. Once clams are won, they are yours to lose. (About 4k of that was profit. I had won a little over 1k from a previous failed martingale I finished up.)

Dooglus, I still think the system can be beat.  Shocked

I'll accept your challenge of 'put your money where your mouth is' and give it another attempt soon. I have already started simulating millions of bets with a modified strategy and maybe this time I'll get the 10k.

Oh, and I wouldn't think of playing anywhere other than Just-Dice.com!

(If there is anyone out there with a brilliant plan of attack, jump on JD and message me and I will code up a bot to carry out the plan.)

-TigerTatas

So since you made 4K profit and you lost 5.5K, you only lost 1.5K of your personal money?

What program did you use to run your auto bot? Did you use JD API?

17824  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Lifespan of Antminer S5? on: May 27, 2015, 03:21:31 AM
You will most likely throw the miner away before it burns out due to the difficulty increases.

Like how long will miners off the shelf like the S5 last before its not good enough to make money anymore aka trash it??

Nobody can tell you a true timeplan. Could be as long as one year or could be as short as 3 months.

That;s pretty much what happened to most ASIC buyers in 2014. Most ASIC buyers in 2013 made great money.

You can't predict what will happen in the future.
17825  Economy / Gambling / Re: DirectBet – LIVE Sportsbook & Racebook. Rated # 1 by Bitcointalk Members ! on: May 27, 2015, 03:19:45 AM
They will be constantly losing money by paying out the losing parlays. A monthly leaderboard like Nitrogen would be a better option.
Yeah thats what I meant by the post above you. But seems Nitrogen pays only the big parlays. But what Directbet can do is payout(half or something) the parlays with max odds or just payout a small amount just like Nitrogen.

What is max odds and I am not sure they will pay even half of these parlays because these will still incur loses?
By max odds I mean, someone with 20 games in a parlay with all above odds might even have total multiplier at 500x or more. They will ofcourse incur losses, but will be able to get parlay guys betting big on them to come to this site to do so , as they will have an extra incentive for the extra award that might be possible for them to win.

Yes but what are the chances of someone actually winning all of bets. Its highly unlikely.

17828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does martingale really works? on: May 27, 2015, 03:17:25 AM
Looks like he lost 3000 Clam which is like 15 BTC. But looking at the chart, it looks like he started from 0. So did he actually lose any money or break-even?

The y-axis shows his profit. It started at zero, went up to 3k, then down to -2.5k. The final loss was a loss of 5.5k, 3k of which was pre-existing profit, and 2.5k of which wasn't.

Well looks like in the short term his stragegy was working but he really should of just took the profit and left.

Hi. if i have another affiliate, is it possible to change it on you?

Hi, no most likely it is not possible.  The only exception is if that affiliate allows you to change affiliates AND you've only been a member for a few weeks.

I don't know if you realise this or not but your signature font seems a little too big and even on a large 24" monitor it cuts out the 2nd row.

Is this baseball or hockey or what sport?

Well since its the Detroit Tigers and Milwaukee Brewers it has to be Baseball.

Doesn't look like he is close to profit.

17833  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is there any way for casinos to cheat the provably fair? on: May 26, 2015, 10:22:44 PM
This was discussed many many times in the past.

Technically it is possible, because most players NEVER change the client seed, so the gambling site can assume for the next bet you re-use the old seed and they can product their own results. This was never proven however.

17834  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Most Popular & Trusted Bitcoin Game | Huge Community | Free BTC on: May 26, 2015, 10:21:19 PM
Setting up 2FA on all accounts will simplify things quite a bit. You can only reset your PD password via the automated email system, not 2FA.

That's why they need to make sure their email is secure and instal 2-factor on that. People really need to do everything they can to make sure all their accounts are safe when you're involved with bitcoin. You really don't want to learn the hard way and sadly so many do or think they'll be safe or it wont happen to them.

Yes but is it currently possible to disable 2FA on your account while you upgrade your phone? I lost my account on PD because I upgraded my iPhone and couldn't disable the old 2FA to get a new 2FA to put on the new phone. But that was a while ago...

Wasn't aware that professional poker players were in need of saving...

Black Friday did ruin a bunch of great opportunities.

Yes its exactly what happened back in the 2000's with online gambling in the USA. I wasn't surprised that this happened. Its the government.
17836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does martingale really works? on: May 26, 2015, 10:18:49 PM
Over the last 2 or 3 weeks we had a guy at Just-Dice running 40 bots, all betting dust at 9% chance of winning, looking for long losing streaks. When a bit bot hit a streak of 100 or so losses in a row, it would stop and alert the guy, who would then take over and bet at 9% manually, increasing the stake by about 10% each roll.

It worked very well for 22.5 million rolls, and then this happened:

Yet another great example of how martingale works great until it doesn't!

Here's the losing streak - 163 losses in a row at 9%:

Looks like he lost 3000 Clam which is like 15 BTC. But looking at the chart, it looks like he started from 0. So did he actually lose any money or break-even?

How many satoshi i can bet for every games?
For europe league i see  IN BANK 0.0736 BTC
is the maximum i can bet?

Yes it means that unless somebody bets against you a higher amount, thats the most you can bet so the bets are more evenly distributed.

Basically went to a few stores and for such a simple part it was very hard to find but one location of Home Depot had exactly what I was looking for.

http://www.homedepot.ca/product/flexible-vinyl-ducting-6-inch-x-10-foot/968350

Its 6 inch by 10 foot and fits both the S2 and S3 perfectly with no air escaping.

For the S3, all you do is slide it right in. For the S2, you use a few zip ties to get it to hold around the fan grill.

But now at least I can keep them running during the Summer.

We're rapidly approaching the 100,000 BTC wagered mark (probably only a month off), anyone have some good ideas how we should celebrate this milestone?

How about happy hour for the faucet like increase the amount of faucet claimable so that people can have a chance to play with their luck on the game or you can make that gladiator mode that you have mentioned before , would be great to try it

I doubt that they will do that. Many bitcoin gambling websites have tried that in the post and it resulted in nothing but faucet abusers.

Yes its a very nicely designed website but the withdraws really should be instant.

I understand that from a security point of view when someone wants to withdraw >10 BTC then it should be manually approved but most withdraws are small and should be processed immediately.
