Exactly, the risk of losing your money is high if you focus in just one thing. diversifying your investments is really important although you cant take away the risk no matter how diversified your plan but somehow minimize it. its important also to have a cash on hand incase there is a sudden or emergency situation so you wont be empty handed if that happens.
I tend to think of my longer-term savings as investments these days and perhaps I am also beginning to accept that my crypto experiment is a small, small basket of diversification. Some very real life lessons (the sudden 40% loss of value to my local currency, for example) keep repeating themselves to me. Even if you don't "invest" with any attitude to profit, even savings should be diversified into several currencies.

Right, finally my wallet also seems to be syncing to the correct chain - although OP will need to work a little bit better to ensure this coin doesn't die prematurely. Delisted at posw after all our hardwork (and haven't gotten rewards yet, btw, last rewards were send 23rd March!) and nova. Do focus on bringing those back to life.
Thanks to those who helped.

My first guess is that you're trying to spend more than you have after the transaction fee is applied. The easiest, if you want to send the maximum possible amount, is to type a "!" in the amount field, then electrum will automatically adjust the spend to the highest possible amount after fees.
You'd need to post a screenshot if that doesn't help.

Hi - trying the promoplug links but all the actions currently show "Account Blocked". Have I been blocked somehow and why would that be? I don't see how I could have bypassed any rules since my account is of fairly low activity.

Not sure what you're really asking for but ROI in your examples is simply gained by multiplying the daily interest rate by the number of days.
So for eg. 1, ROI(%) is "daily interest" * "no.of days". ie. 2.4*4 = 9.6% The ROI expressed in bitcoin is 0.1*9.6/100

Very nice "relaunch", glad I held some TATO, though I guess the amount in my POSWallet address seemed to go down when it changed to TSE? Will there be any new bounties to explain/announce this relaunch? If so - reserving for Malay/Indonesian.

Hello, You can login only from the country you used while registration, so there's no problem of travelling within your country. But this step is very important to stop botting and abuse of our systems. There's no problem regarding ip addresses, our systems detect your country at signup, in case you use dial-up connections etc. Just make sure that your correct country is displayed while signing up. Thanks for the response, but this is precisely the problem with people like me! I don't stay in one country more than six weeks at a time, and in a year I maybe spend maximum 3 months in one country. There are others like me I am sure, who then will only be able to access this site intermittently. Don't worry, not saying it's a bad thing. Paypal also does that to me (block every time I access from outside home country) which is why I abandoned them. Just that you exclude a small minority=) And you misunderstood also what I meant by shared IP : sometimes, you get two or more countries using the same sets of IPs. I often have IPs that pinpoint me to my neighbouring country or even the continent across the sea from me (I am on an island) due to my dynamic IP service.

Not sure about the actual platform being released AFTER the token, given that it wouldn't cost much software-wise for the platform (or at the very least a website even!), otherwise the idea itself is interesting, though mining still would seem more profitable than earning as a reward for advice. We'll have to wait for Q4 to see it then?

Very interesting project, great artwork. I never realised such a project existed, funny I never saw this ANN thread. From loyal collectors alone you guarantee the long-term lifespan of this alt. Alas, I have so little time to play or I would dive right in!

Everyone, everyone, calm down.
I am Satoshi
No, I am Satoshi=D. I wonder if all the Satoshis in Japan ever travel the world and get loving looks of adoration from Bitcoiners who run into them. Or if Pokemon people wonder if Nakamoto also created Ash. Gotta catch 'em all, them cryptos!

OP, wonderful idea and great spin around the concept of geocaching. If you ever do this "crazy" game, I may be able to help placing it either somewhere on the southeastern tip of Asia, or on the island of Borneo (I'm from there and return every now and then) where there is a lot of wilderness.

This is a great reminder from a newbie... I know I also found this forum to be quite intimidating at first. The most frequent response ran along the lines of "do your own research" but as I quickly found out, a lot of the easily available information was outdated at best, misleading at worst. That said, I've seen that a lot of the staff on this forum are very helpful. I learn a lot simply by reading their posts.
Language is also an issue so using simple language is best. I would remind also that we shouldn't judge from a person's ability to speak English. I think a lot of people are unfairly shot down because of below-average English.
Yes, it is annoying for complete newbies to just pop in and ask poorly-worded questions but we can use a little patience and some restraint and gently guide them to being "proper" users.

Good timing, by the moment they receive their EDG, the price would be 10,000 satoshis already. There so much potential for this project, the more bounty are delayed the more the value are getting higher. It's a good decision on my part not to see early, waiting for the Black Jack now.
Speaking of which, the only reason I've been following this is to test out practical aspects of this so-called edgeless casino... Blackjack was promised several times from a while back. With the ICO and price doing so well, especially, hardly see what's taking so long?

So the whole of crypto, even if we take the pure face value of $30 billion... is still less than 0.4% of gold market cap ($7.7 trillion today, according to http://onlygold.com/Info/All-The-Gold-In-The-World.asp). Yes, it's an exciting number, but still a very very long way to go.

This new update is a pleasant surprise, given that I'd not really seen this alt as a serious one. I only have my POSWallet address though, because of that. What happens to faucet balances out there in the old coin? That's the only source for it now as I can see.

There is one potential problem I can see (I tried as far as the registration page). You can only login from the country you registered from, so I did not proceed. I think a lot of people travel for work, especially intra-region, so this means they can only access from limited areas. You also have the problem of shared country IPs.

BTC started out as an experiment for me, by no means my first in the realm of "digital currency". It's since grown in a short span of time to an investment of time and effort - I still haven't put any financial risk into it, earning every coin I have through freelancing. I am careful to temper my expectations, having been burnt in the past with digital currencies pre-BTC, but it still offers some hope that we "late early adopters" can one day come into our own.

Just downloaded and installed current version (that's 2 new versions since I joined less than 3 weeks ago!) and I wonder if the latest one syns quicker than before, because it seems to show my balance under 5 seconds after opening (previously it was perhaps a minute even). Not sure if anything to do with the new version updates but loving it!

What im considering is the possibility of Jihan Wu ending up in jail. How is it even legal that he can not only manipulate the price, but do it by allegedly lying to customers and using purchased hardware by other people by himself and delay those ASICs to their respective owners? the whole thing is becoming insane. Really? Price manipulations have been done since the dawn of stock exchanges. There's no paragraph for playing the market and there were other big companies that mined with sold hardware instead of sending it to customers and their owners aren't in jail and probably never will be. It's just crypto world being crypto world. Exactly! Wall Street invented that, American capitalism showed us all the way and as far as I can recall, we've all been very happy to take the Kool-Aid. Yes, I think also that these guys are terrible people, but terrible people who make money in terrible ways don't go to jail. They get celebrated and have books written about them.

Welcome to Bitcoin! You can "test" Bitcoin without even having to buy it, if you really want to just know how it feels like just by getting a small amount for free. I'll give you a hint as I don't want to promote any specific site, but look for promos in this forum that can earn you some small amounts for a bit of work. You'll withdraw it to your wallet, and feel nice about it.
If you insist on buying, I'd advise you to up your payment. Paypal buys especially need to cover fees and the risk of chargeback.
