they are all sage if you see githib they are safe, if thete os mo source font install anything there are risk, official minet are safe howevet none can say that one day a b's do door is not activated with them

182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Legit Mining Rig Companies on: June 28, 2017, 07:04:38 PM
Greetings,

I'm looking to invest in a couple semi professional mining rigs.  I was wondering if you kind people could point me in the right direction.

Best,
999Doom

Come on man.... at this point you almost NEED to build your own rig to even ROI. Paying a premium is just going to set you back that much further.

Ive seen more of this lately, people not caring about ROI, just wanting to mine as much as possible in order to just get some Eth.....
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: No Recived the amount of mining! on: June 28, 2017, 07:02:39 PM
Hi, i am minning with Claymore and my wallet is https://www.myetherwallet.com/

i am mining since 10 hours and dont recive nothing! surely i have error in the bat file, can someone help me?

I have it in the bat:

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool us1.ethermine.org:14444 -ewal 0x7a063500eCEAD4ce40CaB669FF1a858F0Cd97884.work1 -epsw x

and the wallet addrees is ok

here Claymore working:

Help please Sad

Dude you are going to need to mine a lot longer than 10 hours to reach minimum payment threshold from the pool.
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Drop of hashrate for Polaris cards incoming on: June 28, 2017, 07:01:03 PM
People should begin to get serious about selling their RX cards, if they haven't already. I got in while the gettin was good. Sold every RX card for over $400 and promptly bought cheap 1070's under $400.

The very day that it is fully confirmed that this is a hardware issue, essentially, non fixable I guarantee you eBay will get flooded with $300 RX cards while Nvidia will sell out that much more. You probably wont even be able to find 1050 Ti's for cheap.
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.6 (Windows/Linux) on: June 28, 2017, 06:56:02 PM
Question : Why , on gtx1070 is Sia speed x 10 of Eth speed?

This is both with Windows 10 and Ubuntu ( several rigs.)
(the rigs themselves are tweaked for speed / power )

ETH: 06/28/17-20:43:29 - New job from eth-eu1.nanopool.org:9999
ETH - Total Speed: 28.505 Mh/s, Total Shares: 6, Rejected: 0, Time: 00:30
ETH: GPU0 28.505 Mh/s
 SC - Total Speed: 285.054 Mh/s, Total Shares: 5, Rejected: 0
 SC: GPU0 285.054 Mh/

Why would they be the same? Thats totally fine.... you need to OC the memory on that 1070 but those speeds are 100% normal....

NORMIES GET OUT.
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: way lower hashrate on claymore than ethminer on: June 27, 2017, 08:01:33 PM
Have 4 7970's, got about 20MH each on the ethminer test and 12~ each on Claymore.

Windows 10, latest AMD drivers (also tried 15.12). Would love to just miner with ethminer but it crashes.

any thoughts? I was told 7970s should pull roughly 20?

Yeah, maybe a year ago. 12 or so is the norm now. RX 460 territory so the 79xx series is officially done with ether mining.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 560 4GB Ethereum on: June 27, 2017, 06:53:40 AM
Does anybody know, will the 2Gb RX 560 work on ETH?... (if there, at least, one 4Gb card will be present in the rig)
Thanks.

Come on man you know better than to ask that question....
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [HARDWARE] [AMD DEDICATED MINING GPU] on: June 27, 2017, 05:36:10 AM
So, I found this listing on my country's IT retail store website. I even called the company to confirm about this and they said these cards are legitimate and will arrive by end of July. I'll pre-order some and see if they are any good. BTW price is around 390 USD.

>$390 USD
>End of July release, wont receive it until a few day into August at earliest.
>Eth crashing, difficulty skyrocketing.
>unsure future for polaris cards, possible fix in the works
>will need to BIOS mod to get any decent performance out of it.
>horrific resale value thanks to ZERO display outputs.

Its almost like AMD & partners are taking advantage of you.

Remind me how this makes sense anymore? Why would a person not just buy these for $300 on ebay all day long if they wanted an RX 470 so bad?
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum asic miner hardware advice... on: June 27, 2017, 12:44:36 AM
Don't be so mean guys I'm just newbie to the whole mining thing just saw somewhere on aliexpress ltc miners and I thought they can mine all scrypt currencies... so I guess I need to build gpu rig ... thank you for the replies..

So how exactly do you plan to make a profit?

Use this and tell me how profitable youll be: http://www.mycryptobuddy.com/EthereumMiningCalculator/path?hashrate=30&powerCost=0.12&power=100&chartView=profits
lets say I get 6 x 290/390 on good price thats 150-60 mh/s on current rate(249$) and difficulty my profit will be 575$ without the electricity bill which I'm not paying Smiley

Ok but you cant buy those new so they'd have to be used, also, how do you expect to get a good deal in Italy? You'd be almost limited to the used market in Italy as most people wont ship to foreign countries.

I dont think youll be able to get R9 290/390 for less than $399 usd. its not worth it at all man.

You're going to need 2 power supplies if you want to run 6 290/390 on the same board so what about all the upfront cost for that?

191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASUS MINING-RX470-4G on: June 26, 2017, 07:12:16 PM

No, it's based on the fact that a $200 RX 470/570 4 GB card has the best cost/hash performance for just about any algorithm

But try FINDING a 470/570 at $200 for the last month.
I also disagree with the "just about any algorithm" part of that statement, though they WERE competitive to superior on the algos used in most or all of the LARGE MARKET CAP coins on both a hahs/$ and a hash/watt basis *IF YOU MODDED THE BIOS*, and fairly close even on non-modded cards.

I do suspect they'll sell the things without a problem for a while - just based on there not being enough cards to go around at all - but once the "crash" happens, they're going to have to price them quite a bit less than the consumer version to get any sales at all due to the very very low resale value.

Actually I bought four new Powercolor Red Dragon RX 570 4 GB cards for $190 each less than two weeks ago. If you buy the cards right and don't give in to the hype, then I don't think that will change. You also keep saying the RX 470/570 is only good for certain algorithms, first only for ETH based coins and "small-market-cap coins" and now you say the opposite LARGE MARKET CAP coins. Modding the memory timings only affects memory based algorithms. For others like Equihash it has almost no effect. How about you just name an algorithm and a card that supposedly does better than a RX 470/470 4GB card on a cost/hash basis?

RX cards are going to be obsolete for mining Ether in a few months...increase in DAG size.

That is nonsense based on Claymore future epoch benchmarks, which are only an estimate and in my own testing I found to be overstated. It also assumes that there is nothing AMD can do from a driver or Bios update issue to correct the problem. From a hardware platform standpoint, I don't think there is anything that keeps AMD from being able to address it.

This video does a good job explaining why the Dag epoch issue with the RX cards is overstated. Even if the Dag issue is not corrected, there are at least 6 months left where the RX series can mine ETH and dual mine with other coins effectively compared to other alternatives in a cost/hash basis.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQE9WdhupAg

We've already seen the drops from recent epochs... why the fuck take a chance when you can sell you AMD cards for a free upgrade to a 1070? Doesn't make sense does it? If you have the capability to help yourself, and get more performance all at no cost to you, why wouldn't you do it?

Loosers.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PC turn on by itself after plugging a card on: June 26, 2017, 06:58:16 PM
its 1070 , when solo it turns on pc..
i just plug it via riser and its turns on

Yes, ive seen similar when plugging in cards to slots when the PC is "off". Just flip the switch on the PSU, add card, flip switch again and be happy.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASUS MINING-RX470-4G on: June 26, 2017, 06:57:08 PM
Anyone already have this on-hand? Would like to know if there is significant increase in hash rate compared to normal rx 470s. Thanks

How can there be? Look at it! read the specs! Stock its not going to be any faster!

Its irrelevant anyway, too little too late. The only feasible choice for new cards is Nvidia. Their 1060 mining card makes more sense in that aspect.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Siacoin Asic Coming - 100Gh/s what do you think? on: June 25, 2017, 07:24:51 AM

195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Few questions before building new mining rigs on: June 24, 2017, 07:04:47 PM
I am having a lot of fun and making a decent amount of bitcoin monthly with my mining rigs, thanks in majority to the things I learned during my stay in this forum. All my mining rigs consist of corsair 1000watt gold plus power supply and 5 graphic cards.

Question 1
I want to build a few mining rigs with Biostar TB250 Pro BTC with 6 cards so my question will a Corsair 1000watt rm1000i for example do the job also with 6 cards ? I have Be quiet Darkpower zone pro 1200 watt platinum but I see it has less connectors then Corsair rm1000i and I am afraid to buy it for 395 Euro, the cost of it in my country.

Question 2
I see that when I make a board with only rx 480 for example the MSI afterburner recognize all cards but once I try to make a board with 2 GTX 1070 and 3 Rx 480 MSI afterburner only recognizes the card/s which are installed first for example since I have gtx 1070 in my pcie 3.0 it only recognizes these 2 cards and I can move the fan speed etc, it also show the rx cards but everything is 0 and I can't move anything. What can be a work around so I can move the fans of all cards ?

I know that for a fact an RM1000i will power at least 5 GTX 1060 3GB and 1 GTX 1070.

My RM850i does 6 GTX 1060 3 GB. 859 watt in and 760 watt out.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Checking GPU memory before buying on: June 23, 2017, 06:40:46 PM
Is there any solution for checking the memory type of the GTX 1060s I ordered before they getting them by using the model name?

I mean, yeah, just google it and look for GPU-Z screenshots or reviews of that card that might mention it.

I know for a fact the EVGA mini ITX cards (gaming and SC gaming) come with Samsung memory. You can also read here about some 1060's people received that did not have samsung memory. For example MSI 3GB could only do 18.4 mhs overclocked while EVGA 3GB are capable of 22+.

Personally I would only buy cards with samsung, especially at this point when prices are inflated. You Can't afford to pay $220 or something like that per card when they only do like 18 mhs.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining difficulty increased? What's going on? on: June 23, 2017, 06:37:37 PM
Of course we are seeing people switch over to Zcash, but better it be slowly like this than all at one time right?

Anyone here planning to hold onto their RX cards is fooling himself, why not get a free upgrade to 1070 while you still can? Dont be stupid.
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 560 4GB Ethereum on: June 23, 2017, 06:31:01 PM
Is there a way to bios mod a 550

Why? Why even fuck with it? its a 512 core card....
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Where to buy custom roms? on: June 23, 2017, 06:29:06 PM
Hi all,

Where to go for good custom roms? And I don't mean a simple custom copy and paste of straps but quality work where every setting is set in the bios so it will do ~30mh/s while dual mining. The cards I have are a variety of Powercolor 580 (8gb saming), powercolor 570 (4gb hynix), xfx 580 (8gb samsung) and XFX 570

A few days back I was talking to a forum member but when we were about to close the deal he suddenly stopped replying so yeah.. I am looking for a solid supplier.

Where to go  Huh

Thanks and regards,
Jamie

You want 30 Mhs easy? Sell the AMD trash for $400 each on eBay and get 1070's for $400 or less, if you still can. Simple afterburner OC will have you running 30 mhs in not time on 1070. Thank me later.

This BIOS mod/memory strap fuckery is the worst, especially when every card you have is something different and unique from the others....
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is it feasible creating a mining farm in an apartment? on: June 22, 2017, 07:11:57 PM
I dont think it is feasible. At least not more than a few rigs.

I have 11 GTX 1060 3GB in one room and a 5000 BTU window AC cannot overcome the heat produced. I should have bought at least 8000 BTU but it was another $70. Although the window AC keeps the room at a far colder temp(73 F) than it would be without (80+ f).

When I had the door open to that room for airflow it affected the thermostat in the hallway such that the main AC never turned off and this froze the AC coil.... Thankfully the living room has a mitsubishi overhead AC/heat as well.

Once you get into the thousands of watts your going to have a very difficult time dealing with the heat, especially in an apt. Are you OK with living in 75 + degree climate?
