181  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is the price of bitcoin rising so high? on: December 01, 2017, 05:00:12 PM
Bitcoin is an emerging money market and so it is quite volatile and has more proximity. The use of bitcoin is highly rising on daily basis. Apart from the price just rising, it can also be traded as a fiat currency just like USD, EUR and GBP and other currencies.

You are right; it can be exchanged for cash. Bitcoin is based on a fully unsuited technology for daily minor business (too slow, too high fee), and thus that cannot be the reason for the rise of its value.  Its value is rising because people believe that they can make money, nothing more. This is fine. It will crash someday, but I don’t think it’s before I reaches 25.000-50.000$, which will be in 2018.

My favorite bubble is the Dutch Tulip mania of late 1636-1637; this is bitcoin about 300 years later. It’s going to get it on, in 2018.
182  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Evolution is a hoax on: December 01, 2017, 04:50:33 PM

Why do you still want to prove that you don't understand what a theory is?

''Haven't you realized, yet, that "something" and the "theory of something" are two different things? Black holes are factual. They are anomalies that we have given the name "black hole." But we don't really have much of a clue about "black hole theory" being the true explanation of what black holes really are.''

You are right, evolution is a fact, the theory of evolution is what explains it.

You are right, everyone can look up how these things do not disprove evolution whatsoever, only in your mind Smiley

Again, the only way evolution theory is accurate is within the theory. It doesn't fit a whole bunch of things in reality.

Cool

What does not fit? Still have not found anything that does not fit evolution. You know evolution takes time! lots of time.
183  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Global Warming Real? on: December 01, 2017, 11:59:45 AM
Yes.Definetly Global warming is real.People are unconscious about the reality. We have to pay for it.Global wwarming is one of the biggest issue in the whole world nowadays. We have to be carefull about thia matter.

It is not the people who are blind about the reality, but the politicians and the bureaucrats. Ordinary people are feeling the effects of global warming every day and they want the politicians to take the necessary solutions. But as usual, the politicians side with the industrialists.

Ahhah now I see my problem, I’m not ordinary Smiley I feel nothing of this sort. Send some of those heat waves to norden Europe, just up to 56 degrees Nord; I want some palm trees to grow on the beach.
184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin end? on: November 29, 2017, 07:37:11 AM
I think we're in a huge crypto bubble that's about to burst.

Bitcoin flew up 3k USD in just 1 week...

Tethers are insanely inflated by exchanges and remember bitfinex. It's kind of dangerous after December.

You're probably all going to boo at me, but these insane increases in price just can't keep going, you know?

It is a bubble, no doubt about that. But question is where we are in the bubble. I believe we are in the beginning, the uprising. It will go to 25.000$ easy. From there on….. Any guess is as good as anybody else’s.
185  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is the price of bitcoin rising so high? on: November 29, 2017, 07:24:56 AM
At first i did not believe and was really surprised by the current bitcoin price, it was amazing.
There are several factors that make bitcoin prices so high, such as an increase in institutional investor interest and that means bitcoin demand is greater than supply.
Looking at the rising bitcoin prices now, this is very happy for bitcoiner like me and will be more eager to collect bitcoin.

Not too surprising. I already said in back in Feb 17 that it would go to 25.000$ by Feb 18. We have a little competition at work guessing the btc prize by the end of Feb 18. Look good for me Smiley, already passed the others by a good margin. They are way too conservative. It helps on my mood that I also bought 0,5BTC in Jan 17 for 448$..... Keep pumping it Smiley
186  Economy / Economics / Re: Does this mean Cash will be extinct? on: November 29, 2017, 07:07:55 AM
Cash will never be extinct even how much they would try... Cash will still remain because not all the places in the world is connected to internet or to mobile connection... there are many places in the world that are still remote where cryptocurrencies are never heard before. You might even lose your head if you say you'll gonna pay them with a cryptocurrency.
I have a little bit different opinion in this matter because I think the world is going to be taken over by technology in near future and all the things are going to be automated rather  converted into digital form.  Now that we have been introduced with crypto currencies which are a way faster than paper money transactions and a lot better in many other aspects, there is a possibility that we will live in a cashless society one day.

Crypto currencies are not faster than cash payment, the opposite in fact. The current technology of Crypto currencies, e.g. block chain, miners, fee etc... Is absolutely no match for the ease and speed of cash, neither in paper form nor its digital delivering method, namely credit card and Mobil pay. If one want to compete with cashes digital delivering method, the crypto currencies technology needs a whole other thinking, than the current blockchain thinking.
187  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Evolution is a hoax on: November 29, 2017, 07:00:04 AM
I also don't believe in evolution and another thing is why are we stuck in our current forms. I believe that it is not us that evolve it is our knowledge and intelligence also the technology but not our physical forms(Like monkey to human)

Why do you think we are stuck in our current form? Evolution takes time you know, lots of time. Historical times, say the last 7000 years, is but a blink in time. Humans have lots of rather useless organs that points to a time where we looked different, like nippels for men, tailbone, wisdom teeth and appendix.
188  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why BTC value is growing day by day ? on: November 28, 2017, 07:57:50 AM
Do a search in the bitcoin discussion section: search for "increasing day by day" and you'll see way more results for this phrase than should even be possible.  Shitposters love to utter these words, repeat them over and over.  It's tiring, and for the most part the phrase isn't strictly true.  Bitcoin has mostly been up over the past few years but it doesn't "increase day by day".

It's market forces in action.  That's why the price keeps going up, supply and demand--what is so hard for people to understand about this?  In the 1920s, it was all about the new thing at the time, radio.  Before that it was railroads.  More recently it's been social media stocks, and before that it was internet and biotech stocks.  In 2011, it was precious metals.  People get manias about anything you can imagine, and demand skyrockets.  With bitcoin the supply is capped at 21 million coins, so the bigger the demand the higher the price.  This isn't rocket science and should be obvious to anyone who's taken even an introductory course in economics.

Well said. As you pointed out, prior to bitcoin there have been many other pumping projects going on. My all-time favorite is the Dutch Tulip mania of the late 1630’s. All these mania all share one common nominator, they all collapsed in the end, and returned to a “normal” level. Where bitcoin is in this bubble, well I don’t know. I think it’s just the beginning.
189  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Global Warming Real? on: November 27, 2017, 08:39:24 AM
Global warming is not real. A month ago I could wear a single short sleeved shirt as I went on my walk. Now I have to wear two shirts and a jacket to stay warm.

I am looking forward to global warming, next spring, when I can at least get by without the jacket.

Cool

Smiley Me too, looking forward to some more global warming, so i can sit on the beach, sipping Pina colada, in norden Europe during december.

That idiot moderator banned me fo no reason. So we will continue with the MicroPC and a different coin.

Do not share lies my friend. You said that you were leaving deep onion because it is not worth it and the moderator helped you was so kind to help you with this. Stop whining and accept the consequences of your words and actions...

very funny this guy... "it`s not worth it" but is crying like a baby. man...stand by your words and let us alone because it`s not worth it. Roll Eyes

not worth it lol.

I just privately sold some onions to buy 2 IphoneX's for my daughters.

Yep, not worth it at all LMAO.

let me guess.... this guy will end up in the fud thread where all the other losers of DO end up!

Hmm.. is that really how to deal with people that do not share the exact same opinion is as the majority. It would be nice to handle such things in a civilized and appropriate manner. I don’t see the need for condescending wordings.
191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So Bitcoin is better than Gold? on: November 22, 2017, 04:58:32 PM
It may not be today but in the future if it still continues to grow. But today gold is still better than bitcoin. Once the bitcoin has almost developed then it will be the time when bitcoin surpasses gold. Some people predicts that bitcoin could go $1,000,000 so let us see.

Well 1.000.000$ is a lot. One should never say never of course. I doubt it though that it will reach this level. Some other coin, that is better, faster, more secure and fee-lees will take its place before that. But I do believe we are just at the beginning of the BTC bubble, so it will easy hit 25.000$ by the end of 2018.
192  Economy / Economics / Re: Does this mean Cash will be extinct? on: November 21, 2017, 12:41:36 PM
I dont think cash will be extinct even if bitcoin grows bigger in the future, maybe there's a slight possibility but for my personal preference it wont because not all of us here in the world, or i could say not all of us in every country can afford bitcoin because of social problems like internet. Thats why i conclude that there's only a slight chance.

The article is not about replacing cash with example bitcoin, something that is entirely undoable. Bitcoin is too slow, too expensive, to even remotely compete with the easy and speed of cash.

The article is about replacing physical cash with its digital delivering method, namely credit card and Mobil pay, both options which have already for years surpassed physical cash in transactions amount and count, in the Nordic countries.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Digital Money Bits (DMB) Mandatory update to version 1.5 on: November 21, 2017, 10:01:15 AM
So are you doing a coinswap then, or are you trying to fix the DMB wallet? To be honest, i don't know if this coin with its huge chain/POS desaster is worth to be revived.
just sit back and relax, we will give good proof. not long maybe this week  Smiley

SCAM!!!! Please proof at official Twister, Facebook to know that you are a new dev and be able to access them.....

Right on! Don’t fall for spurious talk. This coin is dead. It has more coins in circulation than the max supply, no working chain / wallet, and Pina colada sipping dev on Ibiza.
194  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Global Warming Real? on: November 20, 2017, 07:20:08 PM
Off course it is real. We can feel it.

Ohh I just love such scientific measurements  Roll Eyes …. So I’m going out for a smoke in the garden. Big jacket. Ok it is late November, but 1 degree Celsius, with a chill factor making it -5. I’m at latitude 55.

Conclusion : global warming does not exist.
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Deep Onion on: November 20, 2017, 07:05:39 PM
Just a newbie here but I am interested in the DeepOnion coin and the anonymity it provides since that is what more and more people are demanding. I thknk this might be a good future investment. I was at the website but couldn't din the whitepaper. Anyone has a link to that?

The airdrops certainly seem like an interesting feature that rewards the active community. Do you guys know how often Airdrops occur?

I'm not a newbie, but I'm interested in Deeponion. And then I saw that there is not even 1 serious exchange to trade deeponion, I simply quited it. Can you imagine, they create a hype and there is not even a serious exchange to trade this coin. Hope they fix this soon.

The two that exists are not too bad. Sure different people prefer different exchanges, but some exchanges cost a lot of money, and someone has to pay for it. I don’t think one can pay in the coin your trying to get listed,- that would be nice tho  Grin
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Deep Onion on: November 16, 2017, 12:32:02 PM
I saw price rise a little at today. But it is not the level I still expected. To me, one of DeepOnion's biggest problems is not enough transaction volume. One of the reasons is that it does not enter a high quality stock market.

Volume comes from interest. Interest comes from various things, including but not limited to, marketing, availability and project transparency. I read a book from Bill gates once, one he wrote in the late 80’s, trying to explain the success of Microsoft. And while he was not shy to point out all the various good business stunts he had made, the actual point of tipping he could not explain or rather pinpoint.

The best example of the uncertain of who is going to run with the price is the video war of the early 1980s (VHS vs. Betamax vs Video2000). While the winner was clear, what made VHS the winner is still debatable.
197  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Supermarket Accept Bitcoin on: November 16, 2017, 10:42:24 AM
Is there any Supermarket or Malls Accept Bitcoin near you ?

There are about two handfuls of physical shops in Denmark that takes bitcoins as payment. Mostly bars, nightclubs and cafes, no supermarket though. All located in Copenhagen.
198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2017 is crazy for bitcoin on: November 15, 2017, 04:28:40 PM
I am agree with crazy but not agree with bubble. About subvert of banking maybe we can't predict when it will happen but lets enjoy this craziness.
Bubble is less likely to happen because bitcoin is not yet widely used. So it is better ride the fame of bitcoin now and see your money multiply.

Absolutely correct. I might be a bubble, but I believe we are just in the beginning of it. It will skyrocket many times more. 25.000$ by the end of 2018, is my bet.
199  Local / Skandinavisk / Re: Hva miner du? on: November 15, 2017, 04:19:56 PM
Jeg deltager i BONIC projekter, som giver Gridcoin retur, vel og mærker hvis det er whitelist projekter. Man skal skifte lidt rundt på projekterne for optimal udbytte.
200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe that digital currencies will replace Fiat? on: November 14, 2017, 04:51:08 PM
-IMHO- what's the easiest to pay today online?

Bank transfer? Slow or pricey, cumbersome. VISA? pricey, cumbersome, risky.

PAYPAL. There, you have a middleman who makes things safe for you (for a fee of course), that can already be fed from your bank account or your VISA, can be easily updated to support any crypto.

This is why it doesn't matter (except for those who don't wanna declare their earnings) how long it takes for a transfer to be processed.
Would you really sell something through ebay to a guy paying in Bitcoins? You have zero safety, that's what Paypal is for.
If you hide your money, then yes transfer times & costs matter. But if you prefer your money to have your name on it, you want insurance & safety, you won't pay directly in BTC.

As for buying your daily bread, here too there are middlemen which you credit in larger chunks, who will allow you to pay little things instantly.
I think of these middlemen as hardware drivers, it doesn't really matter which source they feed from, and it can be anything.

I agree that PayPal is nice and easy. I like it and use it often. But here where I am, bank transfer, credit card and Mobil pay is neither slow, pricy, nor cumbersome. All the opposite in fact.
Bitcoin technology has no chance to replace the digital delivering method of paper money, namely credit card and mobile pay, at least here in the Nordic countries. It is too slow and to expensive (fee). If you want to rival the speed and ease of these two payment methods, the crypto technology needs entirely new thinking. Traditional block chain technology is fully unsuited for minor daily business.

Should I wait in a shop, to buy two cokes via bitcoin, for some miner to include my transaction, and pay double because of fee…. Narr I don’t think so. I’ll sweep it in 1.sec via wireless credit card or mobile pay.

60% of all money transactions in Denmark in 2015 were via credit card or mobile pay.
