181  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What does 'Pump and Dump' means in crypto trading ? on: September 11, 2018, 06:24:52 AM
Pump and dump is an organized and manipulative way to make the coins jump to all time highs and the larger the group, the larger the multiplier like 10x and above. It was very popular last year but not today and I know it is because of regulations.
182  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't be discouraged! Keep holding. on: September 11, 2018, 03:27:42 AM
I bought bitcoin when it was around $14,500 in January and I am still holding because I am not discouraged.  I have great hope that bitcoin is going to increase in price and volume in some years to come.

I salute you for that and that is very motivating. But you might need a lot of patience to recover the price of that bitcoin because the progress of cryptocurrencies are slow compared to their prices that rises so fast with just a couple of misleading news like fake partnerships.
183  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy low sell high? on: September 11, 2018, 03:19:52 AM
So I have seen Coinbase is the main "source" for buying/selling BTC, but I was wondering if anyone has used the method of converting bitcoin to another currency when it reaches a high point, then converting it back to BTC when it is low enough.

If so, what wallet(s), exchanges, etc. are you using? And more specifically, what crypto do you recommend converting BTC to, in this situation?

Any help is appreciated!

There are local exchanges like here in my country that can instantly convert fiat to btc or btc to fiat but unfortunately I cannot take full benefit from that. I need a huge money to make it work and my total btc holdings are less than BTC.30 so to be able to gain much more profit on that buy and sell game, I'll be needing at least 2 btc.
184  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Be calm when the market falls on: September 11, 2018, 03:09:42 AM
Mine is different because I sleep when the market falls. It's hard or impossible to be calm if every minute, you are checking the prices of bitcoin or altcoins in your portfolio. I also noticed that even once a day is bad for me so I only do once a month checking.
185  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Patience is the most important thing on: September 11, 2018, 03:00:55 AM
In this market, there are many people who are fear of missing out (FOMO). You always be patient. If you believe you have missed an opportunity, do not try to join if you are unsure. You can lose more than earn. Crypto is a 24/7/365 market. You can not catch every trade. If you miss one, do not worry - there's ALWAYS another trade.

I've miss a lot of chances to make a good trade and I learned my lesson from so I hope the new traders would not make the same mistake I did. Don't be too greedy and every bull run is a perfect time to cash out more than 50% of your holdings and don't wait for a greater bull run because it could be the worse bear period you never expected.
186  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Daily trading experience on: September 11, 2018, 02:46:09 AM
Hey everybody I want to share my trading experience with these guys: https://discord.gg/2cjRufh. I've been using their free crypto calls for a few months, and I made a small profits 1-3% almost every other day. Also the community is very helpful and I learned a lot new information and ways to cope with emotional trading.
I will suggest you first start with small trades until you become more knowledgeable and calm.

Don't trust this newbie, folks. I have a hunch that he is part of that shady group that gives free crypto signals. Nobody can achieved that 1-3% profits everyday considering that the bear period just continue to go worse. Trust your own research instead on relying on pump and dumpers.
187  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What Motivates you to Invest in Cryptocurrency? on: September 05, 2018, 03:07:40 AM
The dream of living with ease like I'm in an early retirement. My investments in crypto gives me hope to make my life change better and that motivates me to 100%. It's not just for me but also for my family that has experienced the worst and unlimited arguments just because we don't have the money that we really need.
188  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does auto trading bot make good profit ? on: September 05, 2018, 02:52:13 AM
Trading bots does not really work. The owner or creator of these bots just hired people or fake traders to make outstanding reviews. I have never heard a bunch of traders thanking trading bots for their fortune. Just do it by yourself because your own experience is more valuable than what you pay them.
189  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Making 1% Daily on: September 05, 2018, 02:40:04 AM
It's only possible for any person who has all the time to monitor the market. Just by checking the target coins that you are wanting to make 1% can take a few hours and another hours for waiting for the right moment that it reach 1% up so you can sell it.
190  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to overcome my fear and how to start trading? on: September 05, 2018, 02:23:25 AM
Hi I am just new in the trading, I just want to ask how to overcome my fear in trading and what should I do to start trading. I also want to trade with a short term cause I need to earn daily for my daily needs can someone help me and give some that I used to start my trading now.

It could be the fact that the amount of money you are using is too huge for you or it's your life savings/ emergency funds. If that's the case then I will feel scared too. But I'm not because just started with some of my extra money until it grew bigger and bigger.
191  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too many new Exchanges on: September 05, 2018, 02:11:23 AM
Recently i was working on a project related to Altcoin listing on different exchanges. Strange i found out too many new exchanges and people are trading well over there. Don't you guys think there should be limited number of exchanges and regulated ones? (Many new exchanges are nicer too and competitive but there is always a trust issue there specially for new investors). Your thoughts.

I really agree that the SEC should make a limited number of exchanges because the increase of pricing is hard to be achieved when volumes are scattered. There should be at least less than 20 per country so new users will not make a hard decision to find the best ones.
192  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you start trading? on: September 05, 2018, 01:57:29 AM
Trading is very risky they said and the information to learn is very wide , every losses and profits  is a experienced that is why I'm very interested in trading , yet i don't know where i should start .

Can you share guys how do you start with this line?

The first thing I did was to familiarize things like using exchanges and transacting. I did not care what altcoin I choose. I just picked what I often heard but I did not buy a lot and just small amount to test if I'm doing the right thing. And then after that I did the research because using the tools are much more complicated that studying them.
193  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk Management on: September 05, 2018, 01:44:40 AM
Risks are inherent or always there whenever we talked about investment especially Bitcoin and the whole cryptocurrency community. But how do you deal with these risks? What are your experiences or even techniques in managing risks? In minimizing risks or even eliminating it?

My best practice is to never buy a coin that has already reach 10x it's ICO price or its starting price the first time it got listed on exchanges. We cannot predict if it goes up and down but we can make sure that we are taking less risks and the people who bought btc last December are my main examples of that mistake.
194  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HODL is not advisable! on: September 05, 2018, 01:20:37 AM
HODL is really dangerous for any trader or investors who bought altcoins that has inexperienced team or an unprofessional team. HODL is not also good when you are doing it for 4-5 years. If you people want to play safe then just do the HODL for 6 months and test if it rises on those months because if not then stop the HODL for the next 6 months so in short just sell it.
195  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trade? on: September 05, 2018, 01:09:54 AM
Day trade is good now, or is just when market is more unstable ?

I've heard a lot of news from business news outlets that wealthy traders do a lot of short term trades at this year and I've got to agree with them. We can see that it works but you need to have at least one btc to feel the profits because the spread that btc gives everytime it fluctuates is only below $1,500.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Invest in ICO this time, yes or no? on: September 05, 2018, 12:58:28 AM
Perhaps, postpone your plans on investing on them for now. Check the state of the ICOs when we reach the month of December and January and if things in the market is healthy, then you can do that but if now then stop chasing ICO for the rest of this year and 2019.

198  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why we will see $50k Bitcoin end of year on: September 02, 2018, 06:42:35 AM
I'm pretty sure that there is no ETF that are going to be approved this year. The SEC obviously hates cryptocurrrency. Maybe we can take this moment to clean the trash projects in the community and showcase the best use of the virtual coins so next time we don't need those damn ETFs just to increase the prices again.
199  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Minimum coin to begin trading? on: September 02, 2018, 06:15:27 AM
If you are just a beginner, one coin is enough to test its profitability. If your choice is bitcoin or eth then you are not going to face a lot of issues or the risk that they get delisted or abandoned. So be careful choosing other altcoins and only trade two great potential altcoins.
200  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN is useless!? on: August 28, 2018, 03:22:11 AM
A lot of people have used bitcoin in their transactions before like paying a service or for for goods on the online stores so that statement is already misleading. Bitcoin is just like fiat but more convenient than Paypal's service. A useless thing don't exist for more than a decade and can't be major threat to banks.
