181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Stablecoins are here to stay on: July 12, 2018, 07:46:40 PM
Convince me otherwise  Wink

Reasons why:
1. mass adoption
2. mass adoption
3. DEX
4. global remittance
5. mass adoption

And I think with crypto-collateralized stablecoins like Havven are going to be the ones to succeed. Thoughts?
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alternative to tether (Havven) is now live on Kucoin!! on: July 12, 2018, 07:35:01 PM
Great news  Cheesy Thanks for sharing this one
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Co-founder of augur on stablecoins on: July 12, 2018, 07:34:38 PM
stablecoins are only going to be more and more prominent. with ones like havven, we are getting closer and closer to mass adoption IMO
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain of data privacy is coming on: May 22, 2018, 09:12:28 PM
Saw this really good read talking about facebook's cambridge analytica/data exploitation scandal and how that's bringing about new companies that are changing the relationship between data and users: https://www.blockchainmagazine.net/facebooks-blunder-ignite-blockchain-data-privacy-movement/

What do you guys think?

I think people are realizing the importance of privacy as time goes by. So we might start to see more privacy and security based coins and tokens, while also using blockchain.

couldn't agree more!! I am all about privacy and data protection. Algebraix is a great platform and blockchain project  Cheesy
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You can now buy Apple products with crypto!!! on: May 22, 2018, 09:11:02 PM
I'm just excited for the implications. Implementing a stablecoin like havven will make it easy for companies to adopt crypto because they reduce the risk of price volatility. Great project  Grin
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Changing the advertising industry on: May 22, 2018, 09:09:24 PM
What are the other alternatives to Algebraix? None from what I know of as algebraix is the only one with a working app out. great project nonethless Smiley

I was wondering the same thing...but agreed. so far they have the best product and love their app. did you see that they're launching a web app so everyone can access it??
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / HAV and USDT trading pairs announced on Kucoin on: May 22, 2018, 08:03:41 PM
Anyone holding Havven? They are one of my favorite projects this year by far. Glad they're expanding so much in terms of their offering and announcements. Do you guys think they'll eventually overtake Tether?
188  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Do you really care if your data is exploited?? on: May 22, 2018, 07:59:45 PM
I care a lot about my data being breached. I think algebraix offers a good solution to data privacy and advertising to consumers. What an interesting relationship they set up with consumers/advertisers.

what exactly do they do? Interested to see how I can get involved
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] HAVVEN — Decentralised and asset-backed STABLECOIN on: May 22, 2018, 07:58:42 PM
So what exactly happens on June 11th? how will everything "convert" over to havven-backed nomins??
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [AIRDROP] ALGEBRAIX - Permission-based advertising platform. Own your data on: May 22, 2018, 07:57:29 PM
i am personally a big fan of algebraix and what they're doing. They've been staying pretty stealth so I wonder what they're working on

You have to join their telegram to stay up to date on their latest developments. They are launching a web app version of Algebraix: https://t.me/Algebraix_Data
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for a new coin to buy & hodl on: May 22, 2018, 07:55:35 PM
I would look into Havven if you're into stablecoins. Great team and projects. On kucoin now. https://havven.io/
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What defines a successful ICO? on: May 22, 2018, 07:53:54 PM
I think it should be both but it all comes down to communication and progress. As long as they are proactive about partnerships, listings, and dev, that's always a good sign. One project lately that has been doing that is Havven. Great project that is really pushing forward. https://havven.io/
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOTA Blockchain of China?? on: March 20, 2018, 10:38:27 PM
definitely holding some itc bags and planning on gathering more. any project that is 2 months ahead of schedule in the crypto space is pretty cool in my books.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The newer and better Tether? on: March 20, 2018, 10:37:22 PM
I didn't participate but I don't think we need this right now. Tether themselves hasn't proven they have the funds, yet you have another entering the space? I don't like that, despite the fact it the competition will make both produce better then if they were alone in the market.

at the same time havven is very different from tether. fundamentally two different projects that both fall under "stablecoin". Read this to compare: https://www.forbes.com/sites/shermanlee/2018/03/12/explaining-stable-coins-the-holy-grail-of-crytpocurrency/#432e3ce84fc6
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bosch + IoT Chain?! on: March 20, 2018, 10:36:17 PM
New update from ITC: https://medium.com/@IoT_Chain/news-weekly-itc-progress-update-2018-3-10-2018-3-16-57d603edfa51

Lots of exciting things happening for itc holders
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter is changing advertising policy? on: March 20, 2018, 10:35:09 PM
This is good and bad news. This will also push other platforms to rise such as Algebraix. Permission-based advertising platform. https://algebraix.io/
197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: solving bitcoin's weakness?? on: March 20, 2018, 10:25:53 PM
well it seems like tether to me and after tether also bitrex have issued its coin which is always stable so this kind of projects are becoming more and more in the scenes which are for good use of course but what I think is that they are not stable enough because can be crashed any time cuz are not backed by anything

I disagree. If you look into Havven's dual token system, the system backs itself through fees. Here's an excerpt I found from another thread:

Quote
The Havven platform uses two tokens to achieve stability. The havven token provides the collateral for the platform. Nomin tokens, a stablecoin, are issued against the value of the collateral token. This dual token approach incentivises users to hold havven tokens because network transaction fees are paid to havven holders. As more people use nomins for everyday transactions, the value of havven tokens will increase due to the higher fees generated.

Havven is a totally decentralised stablecoin, which means that, like bitcoin, it is secure and resistant to censorship. However, in contrast to Bitcoin, Havven uses a decentralised asset to reduce price volatility. The asset backing for the stablecoin comes from transaction fees generated by the Havven network. This means the asset is distributed and cannot be lost, stolen or seized.
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Google and Twitter ad regulation = wave of decentralized advertising platforms?? on: March 20, 2018, 10:23:21 PM
I do see the future of ads where we as consumers are rewarded. I don't even trust facebook as they collect so much data about us. I even deactivated mine. I love that crypto/blockchain has opened the doors to taking back control of our user data.

Thanks for sharing
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: one IoT project to rule them all?? on: March 20, 2018, 10:22:05 PM
I think IOT is the future. Smart and autonomous homes and buildings are the new black.
But its hard to tell this early whos gonna win the race. I do think both of them have a bright future.

I agree. Not everyone knows IOT but we are all consumers/users in the IOT space. I do like that IoT Chain is developing hardware. They have chips for lighting. IOTA is far too centralized and unsecure for me.
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your favorite stablecoin?? on: March 20, 2018, 10:20:39 PM
My money is on Havven. ICO sold out in 90 minutes and raised $30M beating Power ledger as an australian-based company for amount raised. There is huge demand for something like this. Their system is the only one that makes sense. I see too many stablecoins try to stabilize the price while tying themselves to something that's not stable----> USD or gold. What a joke.

Lots to anticipate especially for mass adoption. these are going to pave the way for that movement.
