It was possible to earn from arbitrage in the past, like two or three years ago, when there wern't too many traders and trading was done manually.
Now traders use bots to detect the smallest opportunity to make profit from arbitrage.
Also, there is the risk of being scammed by new exchanges that list coins that have the same name as the genuine ones but different smart contracts.

As i beginner i meant someone who's been trading for around half a year now (not day-trading).
Are arbitrage tools necessary or do they just make your life easier and which sites offer them?
Arbitrage was never to interesting to me but i've talked with a friend who's making a decent profit out of it (at least that is what he said...)

We do not know where, how and why altcoin season will begin? Alcoins are probably gonna get some support from Bitcoin, but we do not even know from which increase. Look at the recent increases in BTC, altcoins are unaffected from most. All I can say is that the continuous and bigger increase in the BTC price will affect altcoins, for me, we should wait for it. Support from BTC will definitely be needed in this case. For those who haven't gotten it yet: Bitcoin moves Upwards, Altcoins dumps Bitcoin moves Downward, Altcoins still dumps (posted by nelson4lov in comments bellow) Like you said, let's wait for it! |

Some may. It depends how useful they are. But yes you are right we will not see all alts x100 with Bitcoin under $20k. There can happen something that call for fungibility or opaque ledger and Monero togetehr with all opaque ledger cryptocurrencies will make a leg up. Or can happen what happened with Ethereum when ICO boom happened in 2017. You never know, that's the sweet things in crypto. Let's be surprised (in a good way) ! |

Truth is, nobody knows WHEN altcoins starts moving, everyone's attention is at BTC currently, and if you look around the crypto communities is pretty much dead. Once the hoard returns, I'm sure we'll see a massive bull run, everything will move again, and the bull run we saw in 2017 will seem like small bump on the road.
That's my prediction anyway.
Regulation, will be tightened, peoples trading histories automatically shared with the IRS, everything will be regulated at some point, hence why DEX solutions seems like the obvious choice for those of us who wants to stay anon.
I'm accumulating Blocknet for this very reason in fact.
So hodl BTC and let play with the alts meanwhile? Agree that market's going to explode sooner or later... |

We have to keep in mind the direct proportional relationship between alts and btc. It's impossible to say, alts with no product and future would go south in no time. So much talk on forums about altseason but it looks like it's not coming anytime soon. Any new alts/non-ico/ with working product on market?

Sure it's impossible to say but still... after yesterday hearing i really don't know what to think. Used to be sure Libra entry will boom the market once again but it looks like Libra's not coming shortly.

There are so many active bullshit project, who know better, how to announce their progress in social media.
I mean, they could really work on that, so the early birds like myself, and many I know, would be calm and easy & not only holding strong, but accomulating more.

LSK is now on important support, if it is broken, we can see the price at 0.0005BCT. The project needs more good news than ever. I like the project, I hope that such a drop is caused only by the correction of the market. Do you have any positive thoughts on LSK, because i am a little scared now.
It is simple. Lisk is terrible coin to trade with, because their marketing department sucks. The same is with ETC. Two under radar high tech projects, which can't deliver the hype (which is needed unfortanetly), to sustain the price. Marketing for ETC did others, now joining the coinbase, they did shit with snapshot for aidrop, and for other major events, other players took laverage and pump the price. You can't play this game as developer, if marketing department is sleeping. Other have zero products and only marketing with shitty bounty programs, and take away the money from good projects. It is that simple. Lisk have good events in the end of the months. Maybe it will gain 15% VEN have good events & good marketing, so VEN will create demand, and price will increase by 50% by the end of the month. Why is it so hard for developers to understand that demand needs to be created. Projects won't speak by theyself, because there are so many other similar projects, with better strategies. regards |
