Thanks! Smiley

Can we know anything about the future plans for FST?

Have a nice day!

No Problem Torzsy,

We have very ambitious plans for FastCoin and are excited by its future prospects!  We recently had the following article posted on Bloomberg news...

http://www.sbwire.com/press-releases/introducing-fastcoin-the-worlds-fastest-bitcoin-alternative-gaining-traction-in-the-cryptocurrency-ecosystem-321018.htm

Some of the members have also been recently interviewed for Radio and TV interviews talking about the potential of this coin.  The community has already developed a mobile app version for Android and both PC and Mac clients are also available.

www.fastcoin.ca will be closing its coin design contest soon and a winner will be announced in October.  If you have not already entered your design it is not too late to enter....

http://www.fastcoin.ca/fastcoin-design-contest.html

I know that additional development is in the works for an online store as well as mobile apps for the iPhone as well.  I know the FastCoin team is trying to time these releases appropriately with media releases as well.

In summary we are very optimistic about the future of this coin as we still feel it possess great potential!

Thank you for your continued support!

Sincerely

Anyone having problems with their fastcoin client?

I have 2 servers now where fastcoin has become unresponsive. fastcoind getinfo just hangs forever and does not return any results. If I delete the blockchain and all other data in .fastcoin (except for wallet and conf) it takes hours and hours to download block chain and does not solve the problem. While downloading the block chain fastcoind getinfo works until a certain point - near current block height where client becomes unresponsive...

Any suggestions - it is now affecting fastcoin mining on miningpool.co?

Hello Ethought,

Thank you for your post.  We have not experienced the problem that you have brought up, however we could offer you some suggestions if you have not already done so.  When we have reported these types of issues that are wallet related generally there are 2 things we check first before continuing the troubleshooting process.

1.)  The reliability of your internet connection.  This may seem to be an over simplification and may have nothing to do with your situation but its surprising how many users fail to do this which is why we are mentioning it here.  Check to make sure you have a good stable internet connection, what we mean by this is a.)  Good reliable stable throughput, typically Fiber Optics is superior, followed by High Speed Cable, with ADSL bottoming at near the lower levels.  Verify that your ISP or internet provider is not blocking traffic, or dropping packets specific to the FastCoin or any Crypto currency for that matter to and from your sending station.  FastCoin is a unique coin of all Crypto Currencies as it only takes 12 secs for it to complete one of the required 4 verifications.  As a result of this the infrastructure supporting these verifications needs to stable and integral otherwise you can expect inconsistencies when wanting to implement mining process or simple wallet transfers.

2.)  Verify that there no 3rd party software on your equipment that may be interfering with the FST wallet client, this can include firewalls third party spyware tools etc.  These may need to be disabled or removed completely if they are found to interfere with your FST mining or wallet operations.

Please let us know if any of this makes sense, if not perhaps we would require further details of your environment to get a better understanding with your specific issue.

We look forward to your reply.

Sincerely

Cheetahx

Are there ways to earn this coin without mining, maybe by writing or sharing links?

Hello FinShaggy,

Thank you for your question.  Yes you can earn FastCoin's many way's, users throughout this forum trade Fastcoin's among one another for goods and services.  We have also noticed a recent rise with online gamers particularly in the younger groups where they place bets with one another during game-play and payout the winners with FastCoins. etc.

You can also buy FastCoin's outright via the exchanges.  You will require Bitcoin's however if you want to purchase FastCoin's via the exchange, one company in Canada that has done a wonderful job in making Bitcoin purchases as easy as possible is....

https://www.tinkercoin.com/

Once you have purchased your Bitcoin's with them you can then purchase FastCoin's from...

https://www.cryptsy.com

We at the FastCoin community are open to suggestions, as we proactively continue to grow the awareness of the coin we welcome any creative idea's you may have to further enhance the usability of the coin.

Thank you again for your post, we look forward to your reply.

Sincerely

Cheetahx

version of wallet is last compiled from git on ubuntu.
all ok with blockchain, ie - pool working with that wallet just fine.
there are more then twice of needed coins in this wallet.
but when some user made over 40000 FST and tryed to withdraw it, fastcoind just replied with error 500
to sendtoaddress command with such amount.

I have found with fastcoin you need to limit the transaction amount to 10000 at a time.

Hello Ethought,

Thank you for your post, this is an interesting situation you are describing as we have not had the issue you have identified above.  Again we have successfully transferred over 500,000 FST at a time from wallet to wallet without issue.  We have not experienced the technical difficulties as described above with no theoretical limit of any kind.  From a practical perspective we do encourage users that if and when they transfer large amounts of FST from one user's wallet to another to transfer a small amounts first to verify that the transfer was successful.  However this has nothing to do with the technical limitations described above, only a common sense practical approach when transferring large quantities of FST from one user to another.  Again we are not aware of the problem you have described above nor have we found that we need for technical reasons to limit our quantity of FastCoin's to 10,000 or less per transaction.  This can all be verified for anyone that would like to see some of the larger transactions with FST by simply viewing the Block Chain....

http://fst.webboise.com/chain/Fastcoin

I have left the following example for anyone interested to review the results...

http://fst.webboise.com/tx/b8537908c1da08433cc2ff6d5fe9a72810b82c2442ce08ce4f6d0932194ccf22

In that example over 175,000 (175,009.9 to be exact) were successfully transferred from one FST wallet to another.

As you can see in the FST Blockchain example above it had successfully recorded the transfer of this amount of FST in one transaction without issue.

Impossible to solo mine I guess

You can solo mine Fastcoin, however we have found that when the Network Hash rate is over 75Mhz or higher, it is more effective to join a pool.

If the Hashrate and difficulty drop below this level, you may want to consider Solo mining as an option.

Thank you Vasp for your additional details.

We have not been able to recreate the issue you have identified.  Perhaps the PC where your current wallet is located on may be conflicting with some other software which might be causing the error.

Our recommendation is if you can install the latest software wallet on another PC, have it fully synchronize and attempt to transfer your funds over to it.  As stated before we have transferred over 500,000 FST at a time with no issue from one wallet to another.  Another item you might want to check if it is a Windows Based PC are the Clock, Language, and Region settings within Control Panel.  Verify if you settings are configure to US English.  Specifically the Region and Language area.  For Format select English (United States) and be sure the Date and time formats are set to the default.  We have seen in the past that when the number formats or not set to default it may trickle down to application dependencies which could effect the number cap you are describing.

Give the above a try and let us know your outcome, we would like to have this issue resolved for you.

Sincerely
