181  Bitcoin / Project Development / Bitcoin Job, .2 BTC per 300 word article on: June 07, 2011, 09:05:07 PM
I need some SEO friendly articles written, and I'm paying 0.2 BTC for each article.

If anyone has a hidden talent for writing articles, post a job on forbitcoin.com and pm me the address.

I need them to be written in conversational english, 300 words each, on the topics that I give to you (mostly bitcoin).

So I've created an account and put up some ads, but I've made an error with my price. I can't change this. I also think your price options are too limited. Can you please fix this?

Also, how do I remove an ad?

Thanks for putting up some gigs!

You can't change the price once it's up just in case there's deals happening - it would mess up the system if the price changed.

You can go to your seller account (Login > Seller > My Gigs) and then you can delete the job (or suspend it for now) and make a new one with a different price.
184  Economy / Marketplace / Re: BitGigs.com - A Bitcoin Job Board! on: June 07, 2011, 08:25:49 PM
Hey guys,

My name is Aaron. I have launched a site called BitGigs.com

BitGigs is a job board where you can buy and sell small tasks for a Bitcoin.

Everyone can play! All you have to do is come up with a service or task — called a gig — and post the gig on the site. You don’t need any particular expertise, you don’t have to sell any products. In fact, all you need is a little creativity. Post a gig, and make some coin!

What makes BitGigs special is that our goal is to foster a community of creativity and entertainment. Everyone has a personal experience to offer that other people can enjoy. We provide a platform to experiment with new ideas and have fun trying to figure out what people like.

Hope you guys check it out and get into the spirit of the idea.

AND NOW... a word form Proffersor Hans.. Grin

Launching the same product on the same day, what are the odds =P

Electrongolf perhaps we can work together, shoot me a pm or message me on skype.
185  Economy / Marketplace / Re: ForBitcoin.com is giving away BitCoins, we need BUYERS! on: June 07, 2011, 08:23:13 PM
Nice, very funny.  It seems you have a decent number of people posting on your site already.

The link in your sig doesn't work, by the way.

Thanks!  You should sell some of your tshirts on forbitcoin.com - I'll buy one!
186  Economy / Marketplace / ForBitcoin.com is giving away BitCoins, we need BUYERS! on: June 07, 2011, 07:58:51 PM
For Bitcoin Launch Promotion

Calling All Buyers!

Anyone who makes a purchase on ForBitcoin.com in the next 7 days will be entered into a draw for 10 Bitcoins!

A man from the future was quoted as saying,

Quote from: Man From The Future

So what are all you bitcoin ballers waiting for? Help support the bitcoin economy by supporting micro jobs!

Feel free to post questions here.
187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Looking for Intersting Bitcoin Stories on: June 07, 2011, 06:52:39 PM
I am writing a series about Bitcoin, and I'm looking for some interesting stories about bitcoin people, and bitcoin happenings.

For instance, there was a story about a lady who accepted bitcoins for socks - she accumulated thousands of bitcoins when they were worth a few cents each.

Then there was the story where the bitcoin miner had the police show up at his door.

We're looking for some fun stories like that, anyone have any leads?

Thanks, same to you! I love your bitcoinhop site.
189  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Come on, operation fabulous! 415 uniques a day, no minimum... on: June 07, 2011, 06:39:12 AM
and no bids?!?!

It's consistent traffic, too.

Am I doing something wrong on ubitex.org?

You should consider a different name, and a differnet design.

Operation Fabulous sounds like Perez Hilton's "Save the Chihuahua" campaign.

The design doesn't look very professional, and I don't "get" what the site does on first glance.
190  Economy / Marketplace / Re: [selling] 468x60 banner space / 1 month @ 0.5BTC on: June 07, 2011, 06:34:38 AM
What kind of traffic do you get?
191  Economy / Marketplace / Do you need bitcoins? ForBitcoin.com is in BETA! on: June 07, 2011, 04:44:43 AM
ForBitcoin.com is in Beta!

Our goal is to support the bitcoin trade based economy. Mining and day trading are great ways to profit, but it doesn't strengthen the bitcoin economy like trading for product and services.

If we want bitcoin to succeed, not as a stock bubble, but as a legitimate commerce system, the community needs to support projects like forbitcoin.com.

So with that said, we hope that you bitcoin ballers will lead the way and participate.

We see a lot of folks on here asking for bitcoin, well now it's time to make things easier for you to EARN bitcoin.

What would you do for bitcoin?

  • Can you track someone's identity based on a forum post they made insulting someone's mother?
  • Can you hack someone's email account to find out if they are cheating?
  • Can you write articles about manboob reduction?
  • Can you cartoonify facebook profile pictures?
  • Are you a great motherlover?

Whatever your special talent is, head over to forbitcoin.com and tell us what you would do for bitcoin!

EDIT.

June 16 2011 The first week has been awesome. We've got thousands of visits and nearly 500 jobs posted!

June 8 2011 Launch contest has arrived! We need buyers. Anyone who makes a purchase during the launch contest will get a chance to win up to 10 bitcoins.

195  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: ForBitCoin.com, A Mirco Job Marketplace Pre-Launch on: June 06, 2011, 10:19:43 PM
I would be happy to invest some BTC in this, in GLBSE or otherwise.
I also had the same idea, didn't develop it fast enough though, and won't have the time needed to make it a reality.

If you're interested you can check out the vision/spec docs I prepared at the time, maybe you'll find something useful (I had some ideas about distribution and dispute resolution).

https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B-4jU8zZGkl6Mjk3ZjlmMGMtOTE3Ni00ODE4LWE0YmMtMzhlNzZhMDBhNDMw&hl=en

In any case, good luck - I signed up, can't wait to use it.

Wow I didn't read all of your docs, but you sure had a lot of info there.

Maybe we could have you on board to help us out in some capacity.

We'll be launching today.

199  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Announcing Bitparking Namecoin Exchange!! on: June 04, 2011, 03:31:02 AM
Namecoin in itself is a peer-to-peer DNS system based off of the Bitcoin code.  You use Namecoins to register your own domain, though at the moment you need a custom DNS server in order to resolve those .bit domains.  Useful for the same reason Bitcoin's decentralization is useful, namely, that these domains can't be blocked by a governmental authority.  The project is still in its infancy right now though.

Bitparking I have no idea.

So namecoin is to godaddy as bitcoin is to paypal?

How do you earn Namecoins, and how to do you register namecoin domains??
200  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Namecoin <-> Bitcoin Exchange on: June 03, 2011, 06:38:18 PM
can someone tell me what the value in Namecoins is?
