181  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Which countries have zero taxation of Bitcoin revenues? on: January 12, 2018, 11:17:03 PM
I know for sure that in Switzerland capital gain is not taxable, so Swiss people who cash out from Bitcoin don't have to pay taxes on that revenues. I've heard that also in Italy revenues from selling your Bitcoins cannot be taxed, but I would like to hear some other opinions.
And how is the situation in your country? How is the law? Do you have to pay taxes if you sell your Bitcoins, and, if yes, how much?

Most of the fiscal heavens should be pretty much tax-free for these types of operation I assume. I would like someone to confirm this though
182  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Life before and after marriage ??? on: January 12, 2018, 11:15:02 PM
Marriage is such a piece of a sweet one who don't eat want to eat it and those who has eaten are repenting now Wink Grin Grin
What you guys think is life easier before marriage or after the marriage.

Mine has become far more complicated frankly. Overall, I would say I am happy, but also very tired. It is not easy at this moment no.
183  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What are the best real use-cases of Crypto coins on: January 12, 2018, 11:12:56 PM
Hi,

Recently a lot of people asked me to help them join crypto.
But then, their second affirmation is: "hmm...but aren't we in a bubble? all this shitcoins and shitICOs that won't deliver and anyways, for what is it used event BTC? Only for storing value? That's it? People are buying and keeping it?"

In this regards, let's all contribute and mention real-life use-cases when you have used or would use crypto coins as the only/best way of solving that problem.

Financing new companies is nowdays the main use case for Ethereum frankly. Bitcoin is also in line, but people just hodl to make profit with it too.
184  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why is the US afraid of other countries having nuclear weapons? on: January 12, 2018, 11:11:40 PM
Why does America strongly forbid other countries to have Nuclear, whereas the country itself is the largest nuclear production site, anyone know?

That is a no brainer really. The US has based his stance in the world in having a huge military and the economy to support it. You canīt bully countries who have nukes.
185  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Earn bitcoins and altcoins on: January 12, 2018, 11:09:06 PM

Look it up on google, its an economic term - The velocity of money is the rate at which money is exchanged from one transaction. I think the velocity, eg exchanging of coins is important if coins would be successful in the long term in my opinion.

Im just looking at the long term success of BTC and others in that it firstly needs to be bought from existing currency, then exchanged for labor as well as services. The success comes if ppl believe they should be paid in it longer term.

Are you sure that velocity is the right word in English? Normally that is referred to as speed. Anyway, earning alts does not increase whatever you want to call it.
186  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I've made 600k in Crypto - When to call it quits on: January 12, 2018, 11:05:41 PM
600Kcrypto - I'm roughly 15 years older than you - 40. The time is going to rush by for you - 26 today - 45 tomorrow.

I make my living as a vulture investor -always looking for what is underpriced and cheap. But also I only buy things which produce flows of cash through time. Cryptocurrency by definition is not an investment - it is a speculation (a bet on the future price of an asset). A key point to remember is that if you overpay a little for an investment you will most likely still make money in the long run because it produces cash every day/quarter/year. Reinvested cash, over and over - will make you insanely rich over the years.

You surely are aware that there are tokens out there that produce dividends such as Bankera, Spectrocoin, Astro, Neo, Waves.... I am surprised of what I am reading.
187  Economy / Economics / Re: Japanese company Fisco launches crypto-currency fund on: January 12, 2018, 03:19:39 PM
Excellent news.

Its almost like, japan is saying:

Japan: "South korea is preventing itself from making millions of dollars and creating jobs to strengthen its economy by banning crypto."
Japan: "Its ok, we don't mind the job and profit based opportunities crypto provides and will be glad to take all of south korea's crypto business."

It could be eye opening to see what effect the decision south korea made to cripple their own economy by banning bitcoin will have upon the future. And also what benefits japan might gain by embracing crypto.

In this era, it might be said those who embrace innovation and progress succeed, while those who shun innovation and progress get left behind. It could be interesting to see if that analogy holds true, here.

Interesting analysis. It find there is a bit of truth in that, but if you look at the GDP of Japan and Korea, as well as any other indicator such as population, trade, etc... youīll find that Japan can pretty much ignore whatever coreans do.

Why not Monero?
Forget your friends, keep Hodling!

Monero would be the perfect hideout for your coins. No rich list, no pesky authorities... But also, no way to spend it really, so ... nope, not a good idea.

189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is ICO ? on: January 12, 2018, 09:59:34 AM
ico is a means for us to invest in an altcoin or arguably a way to gain profits over time that spans quite a while.

Not necessarily, you can go in and out and ICO in less than a week. It is just that the coin or token are new.
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is ICO ? on: January 12, 2018, 09:43:53 AM

Pretty new to cryptos, and I have bought ADA,XRP and NEO...

Reading a lot about ICO's but cannot really figure out what ICO's are...

Any anyone explain me the fundamentals ?

One liner for this: Initial Coin Offering.

It is a public or private offering of a new coin in which investors pay with fiat or an existing coin (normally Ethereum or Bitcoin) and receive a certain quantity of the new coin. For example, I am going to launch the "Rabbit Coin" and I make a public offer for anyone who wants to buy it at 1 BTC for 100 Rabbitcoins. (RBC)

Most of ICOs are really ITOs, Initial Token Offerings really.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Future of POE? on: January 10, 2018, 04:51:15 PM
What do you guys think the future of POE?

PoE? Are you by chance referring to PoS (Proof of Stake?) If so, I think it is definitely the future, as it makes no sense to spend so much power to ensure the safety of a network with PoW

no i am referring to Po.et https://po.et/

Oh, ok. At first glance looks like intellectual property management. It is a very competitive arena and the project is risky.

193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Som e good dividend ICO or tokens on: January 10, 2018, 03:30:07 PM
I have some utility tokens in my portfolio and now I am looking for dividend tokens, that is, tokens that provide a certain return on investment by getting fees or dividends, etc... I would prefer ICOs rather than tokens that are already deployed.

Some examples that are now too expensive for my taste are NEO, XEM, DASH or funds like ASTRONAUT or TAAS.

Any good opportunity out there to go into a dividend providing token?
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in 12 coins on: January 10, 2018, 03:23:17 PM
If your goal is to hold them to 2020 I don't see why shouldn't you hold them. You have bought yourself very good coins and as you said you bought them in august so you made nice money already.
I would sell them all and enjoy money but that is me  Grin

Maybe he already did but now wants to hodl some of the profits to make even more. Personally, I have a goal and won't exit this market until I loose all or achieve it. But that's just me  Wink Cheesy
195  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I've made 600k in Crypto - When to call it quits on: January 09, 2018, 11:14:09 PM
Hi Guys

I've been in the crypto scene for many years now, first time post here over a dilemma I am facing.

So, I am fortunate enough to make 600k from buying and trading Bitcoin and other crypto assets, and I don't know what to do with the money. Personally I think this is the year I will become a millionaire, as I can only see the marketcap of all coins growing. But friends close to me think I am an idiot for not selling yet, and if it were to collapse to zero, I would never forgive myself. But they don't know the market like I do, and I do believe that it is only the beginning. They say I should sell 95% buy a house, a car and live a nice lifestyle. I am frugal, have always lived within my means and never spent any crypto money as of yet, but I am tempted to start spending some of it now. I am 26 years old, rent an apartment and drive a car worth less than most peoples pushbikes.

My portfolio currently looks like this....

43% Raiblocks
40% Oyster Pearl
5% Enigma
4%Dash
1.5% Bitcoin
and tiny holdings in Waves, Lisk, Stratis, Game.....

I think that both XRB and PRL can double easily this year.

This is not based on greed btw, I want to make enough money so I can buy my siblings houses and see them mortgage free.

What would you do if you were me? When do we call it a day and give up trading?

Many thanks for your help in advance.

You are a newby in the forum yet youīve made a small fortune in crypto? Ok, letīs assume thatīs true and thus my advice is sell half and keep playing with the other half.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in 12 coins on: January 01, 2018, 12:57:57 AM
Nobody can tell you for sure what to do to get the maximum profit, only speculate. You have to make these decisions by yourself, don't let some random people on a forum decide what you should be doing with your hard earned money.

At the end is always a personal decision, but some random people like me can provided reasonable options plus arguments.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in 12 coins on: December 30, 2017, 09:15:32 PM
Hi guys im new here and this is my first post, i just invested in 12 coins in some @august and the Rest in November

My coins are ( Ripple-Iota-Cardano-Stellar Lumens-Verge-Pivx-Dogecoin-Btc-Stratis-Gulden-Civic-Siacoin)

My goal is to hold them until 2020! You guys think that is smart or should i take some of my coins end of 2018 and let the Rest just sit for more years?

Thanks in advance!!

Some good some terrible over priced junk if you are talking todays prices that will destroy the rest of your collection

Put some real projects in there

bitbay
blocknet
sys
byteball - why would you not have it there if you bought iota

Hi, could you elaborate on that? If it is linked to IOTA why not just IOTA?

IOTA and Byteball have similar algorithms - Tangle. I know only IOTA and byteball who use this algorythm.

There seems to be quite a tendency for tangle solutions, the latest one being blockrails I believe. A big pump latelty.
