181  Economy / Economics / Re: You're not wealthy yet, so you're not allowed to be wealthy on: February 20, 2018, 08:41:40 PM
The rule that only accredited investors, which means people who are already wealthy, are allowed to participate in certain ICOs is senseless imo. It's like saying "YOU'RE NOT WEALTHY YET, SO YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO BE WEALTHY." Stupid society, with obsolete rules, we're living in.

Disclaimer: I'm not a US citizen, and I've not read that law

They usually say that it is easier to make 10 million once you have 1 million than to make 10.ooo with 1000. I think that the reason is that most people have 1000 so opportunities for small investments are limited. That is, until crypto came.
182  Economy / Economics / Re: Do we need regulations? on: February 20, 2018, 08:40:29 PM
The best way of focusing on this question is to try to self-regulate the sector, for example a voluntary "exam" by trusted thrid parties for ICOs and crypto products.
183  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin Volatility Be Controlled? on: February 16, 2018, 09:04:39 PM
I have read some posts and some concerns that it is the volatility of Bitcoin that is preventing many people and many businesses to fully adopt Bitcoin. This can be the main factor why big online shopping stores are not yet adding Bitcoin into their payment facilities (though there is now a circulated petition for this but I doubt if it can make a dent).

Some are really saying that if volatility can be managed then we can see Bitcoin going mainstream. I am wondering then: Is volatility something that we should find a way to control and how do you think it can be done?

Now it is possible to minimize the risk of bitcoin exchange by using derivatives. So the fluctuation may be the same, is just that you can take cover for a price.
184  Economy / Economics / Re: Terrified Of Bitcoin - Banks Forced To Innovate For First Time In 40 Years on: February 16, 2018, 09:03:44 PM
Big Banks want to destroy Bitcoin before it destroys them. Bitcoin is the people’s currency and it has the potential to become a new currency, free of the control of big governments and big banks. They should be terrified.
Bitcoin has been the worst nightmare for governments and bankers. That's why they consider bitcoin as their main rival. They are trying their best to destroy bitcoin but poor boys, they could not do so.
Nice to known the revolution is coming on strong and all those dinosaur banks would have to either shape up or shift out. On the part of the governments, playing the Ostrich won't solve anything, way forward would be to accept change and stop standing in the way of Bitcouin and other cryptocurries. Unknown to most governments, they stand to gain so much more from Bitcoin by accepting
and embracing.

The countries and banks that are able to adapt faster are the ones who will be able to gain a competitive advantage over the others. Innovation pays.

It is pretty much like that, it works under the assumption that if you have money you can afford to loose it and also that if you have moeny you know about finance. The opposite is also true: If you donīt own 1M USD then you donīt know enough to invest.
186  Economy / Economics / Re: ICO statistics wanted on: February 16, 2018, 09:00:06 PM
Hi everyone!
I'm trying to collect statistics the past ICO and I wanted to know what is your average investment in ICO. I do not mean specific projects, I'm only interested in the scatter of numbers. In the long term, I would like to compile a complete picture of the range of investment in projects and understand the principles by which people decide to invest and how much.

Oh well, this is going to be a difficult project. I tend to invest 2 to 4 Eth after very carefully stuying the ICO. Less does not make sense, more is risky for me.
187  Economy / Economics / Companies that are scary on: February 16, 2018, 08:58:41 PM

Of all the large companies that are now large internet players, do anyone particularly scare you in terms of how you data and track could be used? Amazon, Facebook, Twitter, …?
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How the cryptomarket works? on: February 15, 2018, 12:12:06 AM
Can anyone here explain me how the cryptomarket works? I have been following the coinmarketcap for months and one thing I observe is when one coin move up almost all coins moves up. Is that a normal thing in crypto? Are coins are dependent to all coins unlike in stock market where one stock is totally independent to others.

What you're talking about is the correlation between the price of Bitcoin color as the dominant force in the market, due to the pairing with all the outs in the exchanges however that doesn't mean that that should be working in the same manner the following year.
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is that Massive Correction all over now ? on: February 15, 2018, 12:11:06 AM
This this massive correction is far from over. We still have to see much more coming in the future months, but I think that is going to be a bit more selective than until now.
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BAT - Basic Attention Token ICO (31-5-17)- Worth Investing? on: February 15, 2018, 12:10:10 AM
I just fail to see any value on the talking itself. I don't understand the business model now. How is it going to be monetised is just and unknown to me.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [Need your opinion] The future of Civic (CVC) on: February 15, 2018, 12:03:50 AM
I consider that not selling is the thing to do currently observing the development in particular with the charts . CIVIC has given good results and should be performing even better in the future.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Genesis Vision - $GVT - Highly undervalued token with just a 4.4mil supply? on: February 15, 2018, 12:02:05 AM
I would consider taking a large bag of this coin would be wrong currently analysing the development of alts day to day . Trade with caution though and buy at the lows.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: why zclassic will pump soon on: February 14, 2018, 11:59:31 PM
I would consider hodling is a good idea at the moment analysing the development as a whole with the charts . It may be a superficial view based just trading charts, but there it is.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ripple Going To Reach 10,000$ By 2020? on: February 14, 2018, 11:58:32 PM
I am not sure that cashing would be wrong as today by the look of the market of the cryptos and the alternatives . The fact is that this could be completely right  founded on the performance .
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum prediction in 2018 on: February 14, 2018, 11:57:30 PM
I would say selling is right actually by the look of the advancement of this asset carefully . Not taking into account that is purely a simple approach based on the performance .
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [RLC] iExec Speculation on: February 14, 2018, 11:55:02 PM
I am not sure that cashing would be wrong today by the look of the market of bitcoin and the alternatives . Not taking into account that is purely a simple opinion with sights on the market.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is ETH a Scam ? on: February 14, 2018, 11:54:13 PM
I am on the idea that hodling is bad idea in the future considering the performance of ETH carefully . Yet this could be a superficial view based on  the short term .
198  Economy / Economics / Re: Know Your Customer on: February 14, 2018, 01:08:19 PM
I think that they are not directly reported to the government because they are just making a record with that information and they are just putting the know your customer policy so if there will be some problems either of two sides then there is something that they can rely on which is the records and few information about their concern.

Exactly, governement is not given the information immediately and by deafult but upon request.
Due to the law regulation they have to have KYC data ready and properly registered but they don't provide them all to governement without reason, just in case of some illegal or criminal act. And that seams reasonable, don't forget that this could be for your protection also.

It is interesting how the goverments that are more keen on having the KYC are also preventing people from investing. I think the process itself is stupid and prone to false info.

Go to "Profile", then "Look and layout preferences" Here you will see this. To see "Forum Time" in the top always, put in 0.

Thanks!
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [LTC] Litecoin future in 2018 on: February 13, 2018, 05:40:47 PM
I think that not selling is the thing to do at the moment considering the market as a whole cautiously . Even though is arguably a simple opinion reagarding the development .
