181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Please rate my portfolio. Risky but hoping for high ROI on: January 04, 2018, 12:29:18 AM
Hi. After researching and thinking a lot about it, this is my portfolio (coins already bought, hopefully for the long term). It's meant to be a risky portfolio. I don't want to lose money, of course, but I can afford to lose this, and I'm hoping for big ROI. I mainly chose coins which I believe have strong and serious dev teams, usefullness, clear roadmap and relative low market cap.

- Elixir 30%
- XRB  40% (I already had those coins, and I don't want to sell them yet. It's not that I wanted it to be 40% of my portfolio from the beginning, it just turned out to be Tongue)
- PRL 15%
- XSPEC 10%
- Dent 5%

Soon I'll invest some extra money, and probably will be on SHIFT (it would be like 5 - 10% of the portfolio). And I was thinking about adding VeChain, but it's already skyrocketing, I don't know if I'll be late to the party when I have those extra funds.

What do you guys think? Obviously I can change my mind, and opinions are welcomed  Smiley
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Qlink: Speculation on: January 04, 2018, 12:12:23 AM
Hi. I came across this coin, which is a new project but seems to have a good dev team, very nice roadmap, and still without market cap at Coinmarketcap (I don't know, but should be very low, and the coin is still under $1). It's a risky gamble, but might be very profitable. I don't know why, but I even like the name  Grin

What do you think? Should we take a leap of faith here? Right now I believe it's only traded at Kucoin.

I have good experiences on cryptopia support. Unfortunately they don't support smart contracts, but I think, they will help you.
Here is already a thread from members with same/similar problem.

Thank you very much! I still don't have much experience with their support, but since I'm new at cryptos I don't know if it's a common exchange site's practice to say that those funds are lost.
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Oyster Pearl: Why I think It's a Long Term Hold on: January 03, 2018, 11:04:16 PM
It's just that it kills me that I didn't do what I was planning to do yesterday. I could have sold some Elixir when it was almost $1.3 and bought some PRL before it was over $1. Hell, now it's nearly $1,5, and Elixir is below $1. Damn, and my intention was always to buy PRL, it seems that I waited one day longer than I had too. But what the h.., I'll do it now. Thanks guys  Grin
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dent: Price Speculation and future on: January 03, 2018, 10:48:28 PM
I really believe in this coin, it has an excellent dev team, nice mobile apps, clear roadmap, cheap, etc. The only thing that makes my wonder is that it doesn't have a very small market cap, so I don't know how much more room to grow it has. What do you think? Still I think it's a very smart investment right now.
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Oyster Pearl: Why I think It's a Long Term Hold on: January 03, 2018, 10:44:40 PM
I hate myself for not buying PRL yesterday, I was about to, but decided to wait for Elixir to pump a little to get the money from there to buy some PRL (I know, it doesn't sound smart to sell Elixir right now, but I don't have another place to get money from now, and wanted to make a more balanced portfolio including PRL). Didn't know PRL was going to explode today. I really don't know if I should wait till tomorrow to see if PRL has some correction or if the price of Elixir pumps up a little, or, what the hell, just do it now. Need advice, please.

Anyone has had this experience before or knows if they should credit my balance? Their response time is not the best and it's a lot of money for me  Sad
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Dent: Price Speculation and future on: January 03, 2018, 04:56:49 PM
Hi. What are your predictions for this coin? It seems to have a good dev team, clear roadmap, they are releasing mobile apps (iOS already released, Android on the way), maybe will enter big exchange sites soon, and still cheap. Not so small market cap, though. Any thoughts?
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Please help! on: January 03, 2018, 04:19:22 PM
Thanks for the reply. I registered at ETH forum but it has to be approved by the administrator. That's why I asked here, maybe someone knows or had the same experience as I had.

Hi. I know this is a bitcoin technical support forum, but I didn't know where to post this. If it belongs on another subforum, please let me know.
I just tried to send some ETH to Cryptopia, and after a while it didn't show up. I discovered that the account where I sent them from uses Smart contracts, and Cryptopia doesn't support that. The address is fine and I can check that there are more than 100 confirmations already. I submitted a ticket at Cryptopia, but the average response time is 12 days. I feel like an idiot, but I don't mind waiting, but please tell me I didn't lose those ETH. Technically, they received them because the address is correct, so I want to assume that it's just a matter that the "automatic" system of their site didn't see the coins and that someone at Cryptopia will check this and credit my balance when they read my ticket. Do they usually do that? Or they say that it was an error from my part and that the ETHs are lost? Anyone knows how Cryptopia deals with this kind of mistakes?

Thanks in advance
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [SUMO] SUMOKOIN price prediction for 2018? on: January 03, 2018, 03:17:09 PM
Is this a coin a serious project with good development and roadmap, that will rise because of that, or it has been pumping because of speculation only? I'm going to research it a little more, but wanted to know your opinions.
If one is going to invest in long term, it must be a good project. That's why, for example, I believe in coins like Oyster Pearl or XSPEC, they seem like solid projects with clear roadmaps, and still without a large market cap and marketing. So, because they could be useful in the future, I think they'll rise a lot when they enter big exchange sites and marketing makes them visible for a majority of people.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Oyster Pearl: Why I think It's a Long Term Hold on: January 03, 2018, 02:23:50 PM
I want to invest on this coin, do you think it's the right time, or should I wait for a dip? Right now its price is aprox. $0.8, but recently I saw it at $0.6. I don't want to miss this when it skyrocket, so I don't know if I should wait or just buy it now. I know that the testnet is coming this month, but not yet as far as I understand.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [ELIX] Elixir - Speculation & Discussion on: January 03, 2018, 02:17:34 PM
Today's dip was probably people cashing out, I've seen that before when there's an announcement coming. In this case, the announcement was something that should push Elixir even further (knowing the real people behind de project), so I don't quite understand why people cash out in this scenarios. The good thing is that it gives us the opportunity to buy more coins at a cheaper value. With this new information, what are your predictions for Elixir for January, 6 months and one year? It looks like it has a bright future to me.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Money for short term investment. Which one of these coins would you recommend? on: January 03, 2018, 03:12:41 AM
Oh, and I'm thinking about KuCoin shares (KCS) and Pascal coin (PASC) too. What do you think about these coins, specially ZOIN, KCS, Pascal coin, Sumokoin and Stellar? Which one would you pick?
My portfolio will be Elixir + XRB + SHIFT + Oyster Pearl + XSPEC and one or two of the above. Any opinion will be appreciated  Smiley
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Zoin: price speculation on: January 03, 2018, 12:04:23 AM
Hi. I already have a portfolio for the long term, and I'm looking for another coin to put some money into, for the short or long term. One of my candidates is Zoin. What do you think of this coin? Is it a good time to invest now?
To me, it looks good, with nice growth, not so big market cap and still cheap. Any opinion is welcomed.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: RaiBlocks (XRB) is going to be a top 10 coin on: January 02, 2018, 11:53:19 PM
And I broke the hard drive with 20 000 coins.  Sad
I hope the specialists will restore my wallet.

Ouch dude. I don't even know you but I feel your pain. Hope you can fix that, have faith on it  Smiley
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Money for short term investment. Which one of these coins would you recommend? on: January 02, 2018, 09:30:32 PM
I'm leaning towards Oyster Pearl, Sumokoin and Strat. Zoin is tempting, anyone has an opinion on that coin?

And about Stellar, I don't know. It's cheap and has had a steady growth, but has a large market cap already. What do you think?

The rest of my portfolio consists on Elixir + XRB + SHIFT. Oh, and some SAGA (which I think I'll sell to buy the coins I mentioned). Also thinking about buying XSPEC. You could say it's a risky portfolio, but that's what I want it to be (I'm willing to risk this money hoping to get higher ROI).
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [ELIX] Elixir - Speculation & Discussion on: January 02, 2018, 05:51:04 PM
No idea at what time the website is going to be released, but I think this last peak is due in part because of it, because of the expectation it generates. Maybe it'll give it another boost and then a dip will follow.

It's certainly already priced in. But the actual release still generates some buzz and can change a lot depending on whether the expectations have ben met or exceeded. I hope the market responds positively.

I think the same way as you do. I believe they'll deliver, and if there's a dip because of cashing out, it'll only be a better time to invest on this coin.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: So raiblocks went x100 in dec and none of u suggested it :( on: January 02, 2018, 05:44:22 PM
so really now, which coin will x100 this or next month? i say colx or zoin because they are community projects and better than verge.colx is also ee like rai.

any other tips and WHY? no paid suggestions of shitcoins please.

Check which exchanges have Raiblocks listed.  It's not on Polo, Trex or any of the popular exchanges that's used by the alt traders.  So this one got under the radar and was probably manipulated by only a handful of whales.

And I'd be careful buying it when it gets listed on a big exchange.  Chances are, it's dump time.

Maybe you're right. But even if it gets listed on a major exchange site (which I believe will happen sooner than later) and whales cash out, the probable dip it will suffer should only be temporary. Getting listed on a big exchange could only bring good things to a promising coin like this. That's just my opinion, though.
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [ELIX] Elixir - Speculation & Discussion on: January 02, 2018, 05:34:57 PM
What is your prediction for the end of January with this coin? It's climbing like a champ, and with a low market cap I expect big things about it. Could suffer some major dips when people cash out, though, but with a strong project like this, I wouldn't worry about it. And in my case, I won't cash out soon  Smiley

$3 would be enough for me. Let's not make it a P&D coin. Slow and steady wins the race.

Anyone know more about the website release? It should be today and could give it another boost.

No idea at what time the website is going to be released, but I think this last peak is due in part because of it, because of the expectation it generates. Maybe it'll give it another boost and then a dip will follow.
