the middle east will always be a hot bed of bullshit because there are a lot of bullshit cultures there and poverty that causes people to kill others.

i don't think it s a product of different cultures. i think the cruelty/war/poverty it s more a product of
different politics and their ability to just let people kill each other whenever they want..

183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Sent transaction over 8 hours ago. Still hasn't confirmed. Over 6k! Help!! on: August 27, 2014, 12:34:27 PM

I think what happened is one of the inputs was too small too send and it made the txn non-standard.

Is there anything I can do except hope that a miner running old software picks it up??

you used a fee under the min fee.
but checking your out and input scripts shows validity.

so you just have to wait (very long) now as this tx is low priority. next time just use rec. min fee
and it would ve already been confirmed.
another option: you could try double-spending it with a recommended fee.

as for your coins. they are "safe".

due to larg blocksize.)

Specifically to the dev(s).... will you be providing "Proof of Developer"? http://cryptoasian.com/coin-list/

+1
PoD anytime soon?
(I apologize if it's on a thread page already, I just didn't see it in the OP. Embarrassed)

Really?

As far as I can see that is only useful for anonnydevs on newbie account.  Everyone knows who bitsta is already. He's been around the scene for a long time

well i ll be happy to provide PoD. I contacted cryptoasian.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] RootCoin [ROOT] - rootEX™ announced - ANON-tx using BitKey™- PoW/PoS/PoI on: August 26, 2014, 06:16:33 AM
So, beta-BitKey will be tested by selected individuals in testnet? How long will beta testing run for before the official release?

well there will be a public beta-release. date of "beta"-removal depends on the feedback of the users
and stability of the bitkey-package. so once we release the beta, bitkey will be available for everybody.

p.s. we re already testing the package.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rootcoin unmoderated - 450 blocks with minimum difficulty, 110 blocks premined on: August 26, 2014, 03:33:40 AM
Bitsta deleted my post linking to my negative coin review, so I made this unmoderated thread.

My review in full is here: https://github.com/Earlz/coinreviews/blob/master/rootcoin.txt

First topic of discussion can be the purposeful instamine. Basically, the difficulty adjustment is changed so that the first 450 blocks were minimum difficulty, meaning they got mined extremely quickly.

Second topic can be the actual premining of about 115 blocks. You can verify this yourself by checking the timestamps on blocks 2-115 using ssdpools(terrible) block explorer, or checking using the debug window, and comparing to when he announced the launch of the coin (August 23, 2014, 01:09:49 AM UTC).

For reference, me and bitsta talked a bit in #bittrex IRC about it. If you'd like to see his side as well: http://pastebin.com/2zrfGH3J

thats right. +100 blocks were mined at the offical pool. the rest wasn't mined by me. It was a instamine. but not by me nor any other teammember.
So there were about 38k ROOTs instamined by some lucky miners. well. good luck to them. they sure already dumped at me, or sold me the coins during my ROOT-buybacks.

As for the disabled difficulty during the first 450 PoW blocks. This coin, is like EVERY (or most) other altcoin, forked form a previous project. I already
forked the codebase again to my github-repo to prevent it from beeing deleted. So that proofes that the diff WAS NOT disabled by me. Though i should ve checked the getnexttargetreq() function properly which i haven't done. This means there was a or some lucky miner/s at the beginning. Holding 38k ROOT like posted above.

cheers,
bitsta

earlz just posted that he wrote a pretty negative review of rootcoin.
He mentioned the 500 mined blocks at launch and stated that they re mined before launch.
please just check the launchtime + blockchain.

anyone interested in his review can read it at his gitrepo. i am not going to let it posted here
as that guys review is as serious as the asiacoin dev.

EDIT: He also posted that i made distrocoin. Funny enough that this guy is not able to
differentiate between selfmade projects and contributions to others. lol...

I ve added all INFOS to the OP. just check the coin-specs section.

196  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Help Please With MicroWallet and Faucets on: August 25, 2014, 11:18:00 PM
Hi Guys. Before I start , Sorry if This is the wrong place of my post , but I didn't find the best forum , anyway ...

I want to SetUp Faucet for my site , But I have 2 questions Please.
1 ) I want to install microwallet script , that most sites used it , but in my localhost I found API and Captcha Source , Please can give me some informations about both ? I mean How To initialized Them ?

2 ) Should/Can  I open new wallet for the faucet balance ? or the main/old one that I use now ?

That's it , I'm waiting your quotes ...

are you already registered?
and have you already requested an API key??

to your questions: The API is the interface which communicates with
microwallet.com. It gives you the ability to communicate with that
service and send/receive data.

I am not source what you mean with captcha sources. If you re looking
for a captcha sys i recommend recaptcha: http://recaptcha.net/plugins/php/
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Abe Blockchain Explorer - I NEED HELP on: August 25, 2014, 11:09:29 PM
any error outputs?
what's exactly not working??
198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I still don't understand testnet difficulty on: August 25, 2014, 11:07:36 PM
Hi,

Since a few hours testnet difficulty==1.

Using this calculation: http://tpbitcalc.appspot.com/?difficulty=1&hashrate=1&exchangerate=557.73&bitcoinsperblock=25.00&rigcost=1000.00&powerconsumption=80.00&powercost=0.10&investmentperiod=355
It looks like I should solve a block in about an hour. But after 5 hours cpuminer didn't do it.

I know it's statistically possible, but maybe I'm missing something?

edit: well, it's high again (110221) but for 5 hours it was 1, I'm completely lost, why didn't the miner find a solution?

i haven't checked the testnetdiff/nethashratepersecond but i guess there are others in the testnet3 with far more hashingpower
than you. Just check the testnet hashrate.

If you want to mine testnet BTC just create your own private testnet-instance.

regards,
bitsta

Yep, please give us an update bitsta. Sent you a message 2 days ago. No reply :/

to all who didn't get a payout from the official pool. please send me a PM with your ROOT-addr for compensation.
I ve got PM's from about 5-6 ppl. With hashrates between 1.5 and 40 MH/s.
I ll provide a fair compensation for all of you.

EDIT: also add your mining ADDR to the PM.
