Have we lost all block explorers...? I can't find a working one. I would run one, but I am not going to program one.

WOWO!!!
i was here, last time, before summer... nice to see who community still alive.. but i'm disappointed for burst price... but i continue to believe.. and i hold on!
The main reason for the price to be so low is low userbase, huge supply and no applications to use burst. Someone get some casinos going or something? Each coin deserves a gamblers den. At least then there is actual usage for the coin besides speculation. AE doesn't count, since there are only scam assets around currently. There are many cases where you would benefit using BURSTs, .... just look at the features: Escrow Smart Contracts Subscriptions ... just to name a few.

We need new or old main dev and nothing more.
chicken or egg? New devs are most likely easier to find if BURST has a higher price.

Currently the inflation is the big issue, thats why I`m holding the funds in BTC to save the capital from inflation.
In about 3-4 months according to my calculations, we should see some drastic price increases.
I would like to get more information about your calculations. That post of mine was deleted by a moderator, I dont know why? Nontheless the logic behind it is simple, just take a look at the blockreward: We are almost at 161000 block next halving at 162000. Burst get's inflated every 4 minutes by 4877 = 1,755,720 BURST /day In about 3-4 months we will be over block 216000 with 3585 BURST / BLOCK = 1,290,600 BURST/day Now that's a 26.5% decrease in inflation, almost a third, so the price should jump also at least 30% by then. This is my logic behind it. (If not more due to this thread becoming active again and BURST gaining some fame in this forum) I cannot share this logic!!! It sounds like, BURST price is so low, lower it is not possible, so there is no other chance to increase!!! The fact we can agree upon is that if there is any kind of demand for burst, whatever small it might be, then if inflation go below that demand level, price will rise until the demand is diminished so much that things are in balance. more inflation gives a lower price, less inflation gives a higher price ( all else being equal ) With BURST, inflation is perfectly predictable only with variations due to luck with finding blocks. we know inflation will be reduced going forward, depending on how you measure it, it is going lower either every time block reward is reduced, or every time a block is found. So inflation is going down. That's a plain fact. Inflation measured in BURST that is. Definition of inflation is number of currency units. it is rising with burst. but rising slower and slower. Demand is not flat, it is probably wobbling around, or might be trending up or down, i don't know. Historically, price going down faster than inflation dictates can be interpreted as demand being lower than inflation. Price going up of course means demand is higher than inflation. ( demand is of course net demand, some ppl want more burst, some ppl want less) As inflation go down as a percentage of market cap, and as a percentage of issued BURST coins, the demand needed to keep the price stable will be smaller and smaller. if demand doesn't get reduced, the price will rise. Burst is made so that inflation measured in new_BURST_created_per_day is going down over time. if demand remain constant, price will rise as this inflation measurement go down. burst is also made so that inflation measured in new_BURST_per_day / total_BURST_to_ever_exist is going down over time. This number go down faster than the above. if demand is a percentage of marketcap rather than a number of burst, price will rise even faster using this inflation measurement burst is also made so that inflation measured in new_BURST_per_day / burst_existing_now is going down over time. It is even going down faster than the above, if demand is a percentage of issued coins, price will have to rise even faster than the two scenarios above. The total and final risk due to inflation for a wannabe BURST owner is the difference between already mined coins, and the grand total of coins ever to be mined. The inflation risk is coming down all the time. I'm not so convinced that inflation does matter at this point, but you mentioned demand. Demand and supply determine the price. We have no reason to have BURSTs. In the past 30 pages, or even more, I did not spot a reason to have the need for BURSTs. BURST has great features, and greatly covered in secret. Therefore no advertisement works, because no reason to have BURSTs. The missing dev team is not an obstacle. I have other coins, and as they perform I don't even care who is in the dev team. It would be different, if something is broken, but BURST isn't broken. New features... are important to implement, but not an obstacle. Lottery not used any more, crowed funding, automatic transactions/smart contracts, .... not mentioned anymore. Escrow many people not even know exists. The functions (not well documented) on the wallets /test page is great. Looking thru this, will inspire you what could be done with BURST right now. BURST has a (un)encrypted messaging system, subscription, ... not many people use.

Im the owner i only wrote that i would sell it if somebody makes me a good offer. Pool was short down because of a unexpectet error of the task. Now up again.
Shit lol, just started mining another pool. Yours is still the best with most consistent payouts, back to your pool! Guess you haven't mined on ninja then ..... H. Is ninja a better pool? This market is in danger of de-listing due to low trade volume and lack of user interest. It may be removed on October 30th unless the average daily trade volume for the last 7 days exceeds 0.2 BTC.
But we were always told that we should HOLD the coins, ....

Later on we might need a lightweight client developed for BURST.
It seems pools are disappearing. Besides Burst.ninja which other pools are devoted to burst. Which assets are involved with the current pools that have closed? burst.mininghere.com is still active: BURST.MiningHere.com Pool balance: 81,921 Registered Miners: 568 Active Miners: 558

With "sudo apt-get install libdb++-dev" the error stopped. monero -> fatal error db_cxx.h missing
It's optional in master, but I'm not sure what that build script expects, so you may want to install libdb++-dev (or whatever is the package name for the Berkeley DB C++ layer on your distro), for that header. The binaries seem to have been built though, so everything's still OK, you'll be using LMDB (which is the preferred DB). That bin file is now obsolete (it's meant to work with the obsolete binaries available on the site). bitmonerod will resync from peers. Or if you have a slow network connection, you can convert that bin file into a LMDB database (blockchain_export, then blockchain_import). When I try to start ./bitmonerod I get the following error: ~/bitmonero/build/release/bin$ ./bitmonerod Creating the logger system
What does it mean, how to fix?
It means it's starting. It's doing just this, and doesn't print more ? ronald@miner:~/bitmonero/build/release/bin$ ./bitmonerod Creating the logger system ronald@miner:~/bitmonero/build/release/bin$ ps ax|grep bitm 17747 pts/0 S+ 0:00 grep --color=auto bitm
Yes, just that!!! ~/bitmonero/build/release/bin$ ./simplewallet Creating the logger system terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::runtime_error' what(): locale::facet::_S_create_c_locale name not valid Aborted (core dumped)
I'd forgot about that. Looks like the C++ locale stuff barfs on some locales, not sure why, needs looking at. Try running with empty LANG and LC_ALL environment variables for now. I added to /etc/environment the line: LC_ALL="en_US.UTF-8" and restarted the system. Now "cd bitmonero/build/release/bin/ && ./bitmonerod" the pan shows a lots more ;-) simplewallet also works. Thanks for your help.

I set up a new computer (Ubuntu server 14.04) and started the command: cd ~ && rm -f install_monero.sh && wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Quanttek/install_monero/master/install_monero.sh && bash install_monero.sh It worked for a long time till I saw an error: monero -> fatal error db_cxx.h missing In the directory bitmonero/build release/bin/ I find these files: -rwxrwxr-x 1 ronald ronald 24626041 Oct 19 11:38 bitmonerod -rwxrwxr-x 1 ronald ronald 3157953 Oct 19 11:39 blockchain_converter -rwxrwxr-x 1 ronald ronald 2879491 Oct 19 11:40 blockchain_export -rwxrwxr-x 1 ronald ronald 3253779 Oct 19 11:41 blockchain_import -rwxrwxr-x 1 ronald ronald 1136820 Oct 19 11:32 connectivity_tool -rwxrwxr-x 1 ronald ronald 743573 Oct 19 11:33 simpleminer -rwxrwxr-x 1 ronald ronald 5087977 Oct 19 11:34 simplewallet
I found that the ~/.bitmonero directory was empty. With: wget -O blockchain.bin http://monero.cc/downloads/blockchain/linux/blockchain.binI could get the blockchain.bin (4530181601). When I try to start ./bitmonerod I get the following error: ~/bitmonero/build/release/bin$ ./bitmonerod Creating the logger system What does it mean, how to fix? I get: ~/bitmonero/build/release/bin$ ./simplewallet Creating the logger system terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::runtime_error' what(): locale::facet::_S_create_c_locale name not valid Aborted (core dumped) - I guess that is a followup error from not running bitmonerod.

BurstIncomeAsset, can you please tell me how you calculate RoI?
In BURSTs only, or in BTC, or in Fiat?

Why is this coin dying I liked it If you think it is very, very valuable and need to be protected, then you will hide it. However, only usage makes public value, otherwise it is like a painting, valuable for the owner. With other words: BURST is a great coin, easy and "cheap" to mine. However, there are not many places where you can use BURSTs.
