You can't deny that this exciting, at least. Someone should make a Bitcoin amusement park where all you do is watch a ticker. I'd go to it.

bitsamp is a joke.

they will lose a lot of customers.

Good. I hope they do. This is completely unacceptable considering the amount of money they turn over every day.

I've gone from 100% bull to 100% bear since earlier today. I fully expect it to be way down when I wake up tomorrow.

Better start thinking up a witty comeback when people at work tell me about how much money I've "lost".

Dude you havnt lost anything! The only difference between your BTC worth right now is time, because it's inevitable that we will surpass $900 next time, so just wait it out Smiley

Yes, I know Smiley I got in somewhere between $200-250 so I certainly haven't "lost" anything. But I tend to brag when it goes up, so I can only imagine the comments about how I threw away tens of thousands of dollars while I was sleeping.

Oh well, only time will tell.

The last 48 hours have made me wonder why my BTC are in paper storage.

It's annoying to correctly predict rises/drops, but have my BTC sitting in a locked safe at home while I'm at work.

Oh look, its the jack hammer manipulation trick again, boing, boing, boing. Getting boring at this stage, maybe they'll come up with something new, too late already though and they aren't to good at innovation Smiley

Do people seriously even fall for that crap? It doesn't even make sense - why would there be a crash today after we've had good news, and the market already corrected for the ridiculous gains earlier on?

I barely even bothered looking up when I saw it dropping. Yawn. Go away bears.
187  Economy / Speculation / Re: [poll] US Senate hearing reception on: November 19, 2013, 08:15:36 AM
some others are not happy because of regulations.

Anyone who thinks that is living in a magical fantasy land. Of course the US Government isn't going to just ignore potentially billions of dollars changing hands and/or leaving the country.

The hearing went about as well as it possibly could have IMO.
188  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hypothesis: BTCChina is completely fake (with evidence) on: November 19, 2013, 07:44:58 AM
- Nobody seems to be able to access btcchina.com, yet trades are still being executed (do reply if you can reach and deposit BTC)

Works fine for me. I'm Australian and I've done day trading on BTCChina. No problems at all with depositing or withdrawing.

I think this is all crap for one main reason: the CEO of BTCChina is the ex-CEO of Walmart. It's not just some random inputs.io scammer.

How are you depositing and withdrawing there?

I deposited BTC, not $/¥. Did a bit of trading then ran off with my profits before I fucked up and made a mistake.

Why is Bearstamp doing the opposite of all the other exchanges? For the past couple of hours they've been slowly dropping in value, but all the others are either holding steady or rising...

Profit taking, daddy wants a new car, girlfriend wants a tennis bracelet Cheesy

I'd say Stamp has a nice bearish streak, but they eventually get dragged up along with China.

I never know which exchange to use to calculate my profits. I used to like Bearstamp's value, but right now they're massively undervalued...

Even though I'm 100% bullish, I think for the rest of tonight I'm a bear. The growth over the last 24 hours has been insane.

I'm holding on anyway. Paper wallets in a locked safe ftw ^_^

This may not be the April bubble, but it is definitely not standard fare for 2012. We've gone up 300% in what, a couple weeks?

So? Lots has happened in those past couple of weeks. The mainstream media is finally starting to notice Bitcoin. Just because the growth is greater now than it was 4 months ago doesn't prove that it's going to crash soon.
195  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 12, 2013, 09:44:45 AM
WTF just happened on Bitstamp? $10 growth in 10 minutes after a huge stagnant period?
196  Economy / Speculation / Re: 400 in 6 - 12 hours! :) on: November 11, 2013, 08:26:22 PM
I really hope so because I just bought another 30 BTC. Stressing out that I may have bought at the top of another correction. Only time will tell.
197  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 10, 2013, 07:01:17 AM
Tomorrow the banks decide that their automated electronic wiring systems have had enough rest over the weekend and will start to move fiat around again, new fiat will hit exchanges and folks will get cheaper entry-points.

Unless a crash happens on a weekday, I'm not convinced.

I agree. That's the only thing which has stopped me buying during these corrections today. I've been desperate to buy every time it hits $280. Stupid banking system.

I have nothing specific to contribute here. I have been following and investing in Bitcoin for a while now. I am professionally employed in computer security and was intending to reply to another thread with expert knowledge but apparently I can only post in the newbie forum until I've made at least one post. I generally lurk on forums until I have something useful to say which is why I've only just signed up. So... Hi!
