181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is GPU Litecoin mining worth it anymore? on: March 01, 2015, 01:31:28 PM
Title says it all. Last year I stopped mining litecoin with my gaming computer and I kinda tuned out of the market so I was wonder if GPU litecoin farms are still profitable?

Not at all, you will need ASIC for scrypt mining.

183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD or NVIDIA? on: March 01, 2015, 02:15:54 AM
I like to prefer AMD because AMD is best for minig like amd r9... Smiley

I like AMD.. Smiley

Some people say AMD generate more heat so its better cause you used it for winter.
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1 x R9 280x - Is anything profitable to mine? on: February 25, 2015, 04:29:24 AM
nothing, sadly, also that card isn't very good for mining anymore, nvidia is better

Nvidia is better but still not good enough to ROI from GPU.
185  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: cex.io is Reliable ? on: February 25, 2015, 04:27:11 AM
Buy from hashnest instead, reliable, cheapest hash and cheaper maintenance as compare to cex.io.
186  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining on: February 25, 2015, 04:24:36 AM
Hey,

So I got question about Bitcoin Mining! I got an $100 on PayPal and I want change that to BTC. Is that good idea to invest it here: https://www.hashnest.com/

hashnest have the cheapest hash so far, but the maintenance charges is really high. Its a gamble if you can ROI from hashnest or not.
187  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Any Quiet or Silent Miners Above > 400Gh/s on: February 25, 2015, 04:23:24 AM
I am in the market for some miners but since I am mining in my home my #1 concern is the noise.

I currently have an S3, at first it was really loud but now its ok, I guess I got used to it.

Then I got an KNCMiner Jupiter and love how its silent, very bad on power but its silent so I am happy.

Just wondering what other, modern not ancient miners are out there that hash at least 400Gh/s and don't make a lot of noise.

I looked at the Terraminer, S4, S5, SP20 and those are all crazy loud.

Usually, its the fan who is the one making the noise, just remove it and use a external fan.
188  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: The cost of electricity in the world on: February 25, 2015, 04:20:13 AM
Cheap electricity if you have a bike producing electricity :

Tried that and it can only produce power enough for a light bulb Sad and I wasted more money on food.

My curiosity Wink

Until some time ago mining with cards AMD compared to NVIDIA was very convenient especially in speed. But now, in February 2015, with the graphic evolution, amd is still the best and most affordable or not, compared to NVIDIA?

Nvidia is better, more energy efficiency, but none is profitable now. So not buying any graphic card is the best choice.
191  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: The difficulty HAS BEEN REDUCED!!!! on: February 25, 2015, 03:44:08 AM
difficulty is near a record hight but the price certainly isn't. people would expect the price to reflect the higher difficulty.

I was surprised that the price didn't went up after higher difficulty, its harder to get 1 bitcoin now should reflect the price.

193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: amd 7970 on: February 20, 2015, 02:18:34 AM
It was one of the best mining cards but I don't think mining on this GPU is profitable anymore.

Agree, its better to sell it now and buy the coin you desire then use it for mining.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: amd 7970 on: February 18, 2015, 08:12:38 AM
What algorithms can i mine with this one n how much speed can i get?

You can mine almost all algorithms you want with amd 7970, but none is profitable.

196  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Chinese taking over.... on: February 18, 2015, 08:11:31 AM
How much they are paying for electricity or not paying at all ?

Cheap electricity, cheap labor, and they're #1 producer. Thats why they can afford to build mining farms

Electricity is not as cheap as you expected, but the rest is cheap.
197  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: good mining company on: February 18, 2015, 08:10:32 AM

 Huh Huh Huh Huh

198  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why I believe bitcoin will never reach 1 million per coin on: February 18, 2015, 08:07:13 AM
I think that with broader spread and acceptance of Bitcoin it's price will stabilize at a near constant level. As for the huge price swings of hundreds of dollars a day, I think that will be just the past.

I'm not saying that as of right now we won't be able to see swings, but in the future as more merchants accept it and more people use, there should be some sort of price stabilization. Otherwise it won't be used by more than these days. A global currency needs some sort of stability.
If Bitcoin does in fact become a currency that is widely used I would imagine it would only stabilize in the event of once it reached its full potential of users and no more. As more and more demand manifests itself over time, the price is going to keep going on its deflationary nature until the demand reaches a plateau of users and ceases to go any further.

The problem with bitcoin is that wealthy individuals can manipulate the price solely on their own, and I don't see another solution then massadoption for that Sad

That is the same for stock, forex and any other investment. There is always whales everywhere.
199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is all the bad news actually good for us? on: February 18, 2015, 08:05:27 AM
Does it actually get people looking into bitcoin?

People will read about bitcoin but they won't invest or pretty much do anything that would help bitcoin.
200  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will stabilize at the same price that it was at 2 years ago.. $150-$200 on: February 15, 2015, 01:59:01 PM
More like stabilizing at $200 to $250 instead of $150 - $200.
