There is no such currency here. Bitcoin is not a currency (fiat money that is backed by a goverment - remember Economics 101 you learn at school?). Altcoins are the same. However, Bicoin and altcoins can be accepted as medium of exchanges and payment gateways like Visa, Mastercard.
Merchants can accept many medium of exchanges at the same time. They can accept Bitcoin, Diamond, Visa, Mastercard or whatever they can manage to make customer feel comfortable when buying products.
Diamond is not designed to serve a specific product. It is designed to make woman love it. 4.5 billions people
WorldCoin is designed to make people think everyone in the world accept it.

In theory, yes. In practice, no.
Lots of people who uses ASIC to mine Bitcoin. Lots of sha256-specific ASIC machines is now too weak to mine Bitcoin. Now miners switch them to mine SHA256 altcoin. They are monsters. They can make the diff being extremely high in a few day. GPU miners which are majority of the community dont like it.
The most important feature of an altcoin is its community

I have not once been able to establish a wallet, so how would I get any coins in one in the first place? Don't you need a wallet to purchase or acquire bitcoin?
He missed the part about your install. People in the newbie section don't pay to much attention and post whatever they think without double checking. I would search for similar problems in the tech subforum , or post there omce your newbie status gets updated (4 hours). Also , wasn't 8.6 released? Have you tried that? |

Sha256 coins will not last long because it can be mined using ASIC. Some ASIC machine is unprofitable when mining Bitcoin. But when they are used to mine altcoin, they are monsters. GPU miners dont like it

I think that the trend is over.
Quark was cool and new.
Now , it's old , new coins are coming to the market. They all have in the end the same source code as bitcoin so no advantage for quark.
Quark mining will be gone in less than one month since the rewards will be gone , and there is a new coin with a dog becoming popular.

The world. Haha, I always enjoy saying that. My understanding is that the program or what have you of bitcoin calculates the total and mathematically works all the transactions based from the maximum amount of coins that can be mined and in circulation.

In the end, people buy those with USD too. Why Bitcoin? Somebody pay for goods using Visa. Others Mastercard. Should they end up with using American Express? No? Market is diversified. People has a lot of options. Diamond provides merchants with a payment option that makes their business look good. Woman loves it. The problem is if you focus on niche markets properly, you will have profit No , mister You buy hamburgers and diamonds and cars with usd. BTCE shows BitCoin (ScamCoin) going down from .870 to .840 in less than 24 hours! Who is STUPID enough to buy into such an obvious scam!  Calling bitcoin a scamcoin isn't the best way to advertise your own coin , even if you do it in an ironic way. In April 2013 Bitcoin pumped to 266 usd and next week after it dumped to 50 usd on btc-e. What is that and why people should not to know that? Pump and dump is scam. What happened with Bitcoin in April this year? What is happening with every coins? Not pump and dump? At this moment Quark and all other coins and Bitcoin are pumped, generally not dumped too big. Don't do pump and dump, but if it happens use it for your benefit. Buy low, sell high, not opposite.
