For those who forgot about NEM until we got in the top ten on CMC: Rules were set , deadlines were determined. Then deadlines were extended ( more than once). Actions ( or in this case a lack there-off ) have consequences in life so just face these consequences and move on. The smart ones will learn from it, but those are probably not the ones that are wining about it. Take an example from extee and deal with it like a man One more thing: I was an original stakeholder, I knew it was possible to claim a stake for my wife or whatever but never did. I can probably come up with a dozen reasons why I didn't but who cares. Regrets came after a while but since that's has never helped anyone I decided to invest some more money. So that's what I did. In the mean time the money I invested has gained in value substantially and will do more so over time (at least that's what I expect)... So my advice to those that missed out: Take whatever you can spare and invest it in XEM, the show is just getting started You said : rules were set... But, to be fair, rules were changed as well, if you consider what happened with the sockpuppets... They simply changed the rules on run just to keep as much stakes as they can for them. And we all know that what has been done in that case it's far from being fair. |

I'm going to agree with Steve 100%.
After a long and hard think since my first post, I have decided to put my money where my mouth is and have sold all my stake in XEM.
I have reinvested that stake in Ethereum which see no end in sight to its valuation.
It continues to climb 15-25% daily.
I have been a long time investor in XEM, but the lack of updates has really forced the issue.
I will move on to another forum but will keep a close eye on developments.
Time will tell if this move pays off.
Pls. newbie account. 1st post saying Ethereum is skyrocketing. 2nd post saying you are top 50 Nem holder (account number ? ,its empty now right) 3rd post Sold all and bought ether I try to be as neutral as possible in my post. However I do find that any type of negative post is responded with defensive criticism. How about posting information relevant to facts on projects/updates rather than personal attacks? BTW - I already alluded to the fact that i'm a newbie and that my first post was a few days ago so nothing was relevant in your post. I have to agree with you on that. I invested in NEM back at the creation, but have never claimed my share, and still have my secret token. How can I redeem my NEM?
You basically lost it as it expired close to one year ago. Surely there must be some way to redeem it and my amount is still sitting in the pool somewhere. When I invested originally I never saw it advertised as time-restricted or anything. You can check my name on the original list. There is no way to redeem it because none of those systems ar in place anymore. There was a portal setup for that. If we let 1 redeem we open the floodgates. Also I don't think anyone still has "the original list". I deleted all my copies of everything related to redemption with a huge smile on my face knowing that it was finally over. Sorry to say that, but that sounds like a awkward statement. In a 'normal' work environment, no one would delete works related files... You may archive files, but nobody would delete them. It simply doesn't exist. If I delete files of a superseded project, i'm pretty sure my boss would fire me straight away, with all the rights of the case. You always keep a copy somewhere, You will never know what's going to happen, not to mention the legal aspect of that  Imagine if someone will suit you.. and you don't have files to prove that you may be right. You are simply screwed. But mostly, it sounds really unprofessional too. So, better to say that you don't want to do it. But please, never say that you cannot do that because you delete files. Please... It's really an awful excuse. I'm sure it was apparent to everyone that as soon as NEM got any semblence of value people like yourself would be coming to this thread. The entire claim process was long winded and heavily debated, and the consensus was a limited -- yet reasonable -- timeframe for people to claim their stakes. I'm afraid to say you've lost out. If you had followed your investment, you'd have known. I think introducing them to Mijin/NEM could benefit everyone all round. I don't know what's your job, but I really hope that nobody will never do that to you. It will hurt you at a certain point, for sure. |

The decision was made to allow it for a limited amount of time and then use unclaimed shares to invest in the project (I'm not sure of all the details). That limited time passed, so as they said, redemption is no longer possible. It really doesn't matter if files were deleted or archived. I'm really sorry that you lost your stake.I haven't lost any stake I redeemed my stake as per instruction, even if I don't care too much honestly, and I don't have too much faith on it (also for management statements like the incriminated one ).. How do you register a new Namespace if you are a Mac user ?
I'm asking that as I'm not sure if you need the lightWallet version to do that (not available for Mac), Am I right ?
I'm having troubles to do that with the latest 0.6.73 version installed.
I can see the Namespaces and Mosaics menu available, but the 2 "New Namespace" and "New Mosaic" Buttons are not working. And my Client is synchronised.
Could be a silly question, but I didn't find any explanation on the NEM guide and FAQ on the official website.
hi , same question here. those two buttons are not working. always latecomer for mac user I fired up & fully synced a wallet (which was fast btw) and noticed that too but i didnt transfer 50k+ funds to that wallet yet. Perhaps the buttons come to life when you have enough XEM? if not then they're not working The namespace features aren't implemented in NCC yet. Only in the lightwallet. Those buttens are mere placeholders. Nice So, what's the solution if you are Mac user ? Anyone tried Lightwallet on CrossOver ? |

When I can see a Nem address containing confiscated sock puppets stakes holding 25% of all the XEM available, then I'm done. Cannot ask for anything more then that. Nothing else to add on. . Have a nice day too.  This money much better to use for development of our beautiful project. By the way I and probably many others thought you might be a genuine case, but at the end you proved yourself to be 100% a sockpuppet and have gotten two stakes from makoto. You were also against providing an id and proof of address as outlined by samysamy.
