About the starting amount of money you should gather for the faucet, it's a pretty simple process to calculate.
Write down the biggest amount of Satoshi that the user will be able to collect daily. If you will advertise your faucet good enough, or just make an interesting promotion here on the forums or somewhere else, you should expect about 100 to 200 people coming in for the first 3 days.
Now calculate how much would it take to get the advertising revenue, let's say that you are getting the revenue monthly.
So now basically get the max amount of Satoshi per user daily, multiply it by 200 (or more, if you expect more people to come in) and multiply it by 30 days. Now you have the initial starting Satoshi balance to gather, and not run out of money fast!

Also make sure that your website is secure, so the bots and hackers will not drain it faster than you think.
If you are new into faucets and you are using FaucetHUB API, they have a nice feature to alert you, when a certain amount of Satoshi will drain in a specific time (like 30 minutes).

- If it fails, you have 25% chance for getting Copper.

What are going to be the changes?
We will start implementing upgrade level limits. Don't panic though! We know that many of you went crazy for the leveling low level materials like Stone or Coal, and to be honest - it wasn't actually the goal of this game, the goal was to invest in richer materials and after some working make huge gains from them, but apparently the other materials were not even touched, while 90% (!) of the players decided to keep leveling Stone only.
In our opinion, this is an issue, because the Stone is really cheap to upgrade, therefore it can be easily exploitable.

Now about the level limits, here are some answers you can be curious about:
- If you have exceed the maximum level for a certain upgrade, you will get your MCC back, so you can invest into upgrading high-level materials, or just cash out the money if you didn't like the change
- Because we are cutting away the levels that exceed the maximum, all of the upgrades will receive buffs, so the loss will not be so drastic and brutal.

Make sure that your connection with FaucetHub API is secure and cannot be altered with any parameters in the faucet's URL or values you're using on your website (if you are using username/passwords). Don't rely on GET php parameters, because they can be changed super easily and may break your faucet. POST parameters can be also changed by users, but it is way harder for hackers, and you can set up additional security for POST parameters.

If users drained your faucet really fast, that means:
- they could potentially get your FaucetHub API key (make sure it is not public)
- your faucet doesn't have any timeouts between claiming or they can be easily bypassed
- it doesn't have necessary IP security from proxies (there are 3rd party scripts for that)

Always make sure that your site is 100% safe before you release it.
Check every single thing and play with parameters, try to crack it, or send your friends so they can verify if everything is good.

Rate limits can be also a good thing when you start your fresh faucet, I used it and tracked major issue with my faucet. Basically it's all in FaucetHub settings, you can limit how much Satoshi can be withdrawn from your faucet in a certain range of time.
