It would be great if someone could create a windows installer for release candidates, like Luke-Jr did with the next-test branch here. Would bring in a lot more testers I'm sure.

Bringing back an old thread to hopefully get some more feedback. Have people tried this? Does it work well?
I don't have the app installed myself (or a phone with NFC) so did I understand it correctly that - The receiver enters an amount to receive coins - The sender simply has to hold up his phone against the other and a populated send dialog will appear, which just requires the sender to press OK. (Does this work even if the app is not running?)
Seems to me that this is pretty much how I would like things to work when buying something with bitcoins in a store. What else is needed here to simply be able to use and Android phone + Bitcoin Wallet as a POS terminal?

Sidan börjar ser riktigt bra ut!
Tack! Spread the word!

I advise you not to start asking what I can and can't do. I am in a bad enough mood at the moment as it is, with those idiots from stack exchange.
Hi liamwli, Your only post on StackExchange is from a week ago and was titled "What are bitcoins? I have read all FAQ's, but still don't get them". It was closed as a duplicate, that's nothing personal, that's just the way StackExchange works. It's not a forum, it's a Q&A site. Still, you did get a some good links to have a look at. A week later you want to make a faucet-like site but you don't have any PHP experience. Do you have other programming experience? If so, I think you'll get PHP pretty soon if you do some reading. If not, then you need to start from the ground up. It will take some time. People building good Bitcoin sites have a lot of Bitcoin experience and a lot of programming experience. Now, if you are only 14 as your profile says it's understandable if you don't have that much experience. Don't get me wrong, it's great that you want to learn, but learning complicated subjects take time. Keep posting questions on the forums and on StackExchange but stuff like "I advise you not to start asking what I can and can't do" sounds like a threat. It won't get you any help, people will just stop reading.

And here's how some other people might think: "Berlin, yeah that's not too far and I wanted to see Berlin anyway. Let's see if my girlfriend want to go for a weekend trip, I don't have to attend everything at the conference anyway so we'll have some time together to see Berlin too".
Same can be said for London. There's plenty to do and see in London as well. Yes, of course, this was just a response to Matthew's "Fuck everything else in town, no one is going for a sightseeing expedition".

Well, people can do both, you know. Don't be so squared.
If I flew all the way from South Korea to go to a conference/convention, I'd be fucking pissed if it wasn't all-day. And here's how some other people might think: "Berlin, yeah that's not too far and I wanted to see Berlin anyway. Let's see if my girlfriend want to go for a weekend trip, I don't have to attend everything at the conference anyway so we'll have some time together to see Berlin too".

I tried to sign up with Crypto yesterday, the confirmation link in the e-mail did not work so I e-mailed support. More than 24 hours later I have not received a response. Also, the "live support" always claims to be online (I'm number 1 in line and approximate waiting time is 5 minutes) but they never answer.
How long does it usually take to get an answer from support? I realize that the online support might not work since it is night time in Australia when it is day time here, but why does it say that it is online then?

Let's remember that it is there to prevent someone who has your password gaining access. But if they have the password you'll disable two factor anyway.
The secret phrase is not the same thing as the password. It is a separate phrase that you can optionally set under Account Details.

You are contradicting yourself. You say this (which I agree with): If we are going to bring Bitcoin to the end-user... [...] They do not want to be bothered with software installations... [...] We have to focus solely on what regular people want
But you also say this: There's the method of not using a compromised device and not making it probable for your device to be compromised in the first place. [...] Maybe this wallet isn't for morons.
Regular people aren't interested in computers so they don't know how to keep it safe, and they shouldn't have to bother with it. You said it yourself, "they do not want to be bothered with software installations". How do you expect them to keep their computer safe if they shouldn't even be bothered with installing software? You make things safe without requiring software installations. No contradiction. That's not my point. My point is that people who don't want to bother with installing software are the same people that don't want to bother with keeping their computer safe. They want it to just work. Like I want my car to just work. So you help them with one thing but not with the other.

Short answer: Yes.
They are simply gone.

However, the fact that it's "casually" used may be even better!
Yeah, that's great! It assumes that you know what Bitcoin is, so the people who don't will hopefully google it.

I need a... what!? Give up all my privacy (telephone number, credit card number, IMEI number, MAC address, surfing behaviour etc. etc.) just to vote Go away Or you could just create a Google account, vote, and not use it again. No, you don't have to enter your credit card number to get a Google account. Edit: You didn't even need a Google account to vote by the way. Just an e-mail address.

If Bitcoin was a company and had a board, I would of asked for Gavin's resignation long ago.
You talk about a new development team and then you say that Gavin is not a business person. If Bitcoin was a company then the guy developing the core functionality of the product wouldn't be the one selling it. We have typical sales people too you know, look here. Or here.

Payments went out to flexcoin account holders today.
It was a somewhat larger payment than normal due to the higher levels of transactions.
Is this really worthy of a new forum thread? Seems like something that should be sent in an e-mail to your customers.
