So now if you try to submit a support ticket asking what's going on there is no answer.. Also the support ticket is not listed under the "support zone" section. It's interesting how the massive "investor takeover" would proceed with no communication to the investors..

It is listed for me, I can send a support ticket.

I put in the minimum 0.05 a week ago, then found out it's probably all a scam a day later. Couldn't withdraw my funds and it now looks as though they have shut shop.

Website isn't working.  Sad   Roll Eyes

Although 0.05 isn't much it took me a while to get that through giveaways etc.

Feel sorry for those that invested big bucks!

The website works for me, I was able to log in.

Yonce is junior member on this forum but that has nothing to do with HYIP's.

This shit-fight has been very entertaining but has run its course. I don't really see a problem with either user. They have given me something to read at work for the last couple of days though, and for that, I thank you.

Yonce seemed to want to continue the personal attacks. I credit dyask for stopping that mess after not responding. In my opinion, the whole thing needs to stop, it takes us off subject; which had been my complaint with yonce.
184  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: btc-arbs.com - Daily ROI (0.01-10%) Update: withdrawal problems on: May 01, 2014, 01:18:57 PM
Is there any doubt in peoples minds that this isn't a scam now?   We don't really understand that exact nature or scope of the scam but we have all lost earnings and access to our funds.   Most of us still have most of our funds locked up, myself included.

Oh its 100% a scam. What I don't get is: why all the theatrics? I have a hard time believing he is getting much in the way of new deposits. The news is out, at this point I have to believe he is spending more than he is bringing in.
185  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: btc-arbs.com - Daily ROI (0.01-10%) Update: withdrawal problems on: May 01, 2014, 03:41:46 AM
Wow you two! Forgive and Forget man. While I have yonce ignored I can see all the conversation since it's all quoted. My only issue with yonce is the constant need to pound his chest after we have the point, to the extreme of taking the forum off the subject. I just don't feel like I need to rubbed in my face anymore than it is. But geeeeeesh all these personal attacks on each other. Perhaps you two should take this off into an e-mail battle. Or put on some gloves and lets set up a boxing match?!?! I might pay to see that  Grin

Their replies are so helpful and informative...

It is more complicated than that.

I have had two-factor authentication on my login ever since the day the site started offering it and I have kept a detailed spreadsheet of every day's results, checking it against my balance on the site for accuracy. I can also verify every single deposit of funds from my wallet software. Nothing was ever changed on my account.

Please let me know if your accounting people want these, to verify my balance...but nothing ever happened to my account or its balance that was not initiated by me. Except, of course, having my funds locked away behind a "legacy" wall where I can no longer retrieve them or earn interest on them.

I got something similar in response:

It is a private hedge fund.

Is there any information on Global Capital Alliance? I don't see a web site or any thing like that company name on google.

thanks, I am one lucky guy, received everything back plus the interest during the time I had my btcs on site...just posted 1 or 2 pages ago...the fun part is: I have a friend who also has btcs there and he is taking into consideration to start an arbitrage business for him and his closer friends. I know the guy and I am very tempted to jump in, but at this stage I am not making any teasing to anyone and probably I will not make any future commercial to that with any referral link. For sure it will not be a scam. At least I will have the opportunity to understand better some aspects of btc world. The advantage is I know him, and he is trusty, at least for me, so I feel more comfortable.

Cheers

Crazy the amount of people now planning to go out on their own. I have also written my own arbitrage program and will start trading it within a couple weeks.

The fact is, a lot of people are hoping against hope that there's something legitimate about this site...in the face of all evidence to the contrary. I wanted to believe it was legitimate for a LONG time, I didn't think the similarity in site design to a prior scam site was convincing enough, since those designs can be repurposed and resold by their developers. The updates always seemed to jive with the market and the answers I got from Adam were acceptable. I never had any issues withdrawing funds. I'd had no experience with ponzi schemes in the past, but I didn't really understand how the percentages I was being credited with every day could have come from new users, when new users also received the same percentages I did from their deposits.

Over time I realized that the numbers were just numbers in my account. I assumed they represented funds that were on trading accounts and were being reconciled every day, to derive the percentage profit...but now I realize that it didn't really matter whether I had 3 Bitcoin in my account or 300, they were just numbers. It didn't matter how much it said I had, until the time came to withdraw the funds. That's when the money had to become "real" again. When I saw someone come in saying his friend tried to pull 30 out at once and had it canceled, and was then told to withdraw a little at a time instead, I started to worry...so a few days later, I initiated my first small withdrawl (5 BTC). Then Easter happened, and of course, the transfer was canceled by admin and my entire balance was locked behind a fence.

So it's not looking good. But while I think Yonce is belaboring the point a little bit (yes we get it, it's most likely a ponzi) there's no reason to make accusations at him. It's a hard lesson to learn, but we need to learn it and be more careful next time...and he's just saying that if you get educated about it, you CAN make money on HYIPs and learn how to sort out the good ones from the bad. Me, I have no intention of ever doing anything like this again. However, I DO plan on engaging in arbitrage on my own, eventually. I have educated myself about how it can be done efficiently and effectively, so when I've amassed enough to make it worthwhile, I'm going to try it.

I was fine with it at first, but it just continues and continues.... he has no horse in this race and still on and on we go with the "it's a scam". So we get it! He is perfect, he knew from the start. Now that he has made that point, it's time to go away and stop turning this discussion into a "I told you so", and "my predictions.... which are always right" discussion.
189  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: btc-arbs.com - Daily ROI (0.01-10%) Update: withdrawal problems on: April 30, 2014, 05:58:01 PM
I sent them a message today, explaining that I would happily provide them with my detailed spreadsheets and record of funds sent from my wallet that corroborates every deposit I made to them. Nothing was EVER changed on my account and I've had two factor authentication since the day they offered it. Not that it'll do any good. I've managed to pull out a whopping 1.2 Bitcoin, with about 36 still behind the "legacy" wall.

I have exactly 1/10th of that, I have slightly over .12 I can pull out and 3.6 stuck in the "Legacy" board game.
190  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: btc-arbs.com - Daily ROI (0.01-10%) Update: withdrawal problems on: April 30, 2014, 05:27:53 PM
Can no longer access my account - "incorrect login credentials" even though I know I correctly entered them several times.

lol yonce must be busy today, I get a lot of "This user is ignored messages". He must be going off on how much he knows about sites going under (what a subject to be an expert at!).

In any case, did you try doing the forgot password and resetting your password?

***** POSTED *****

Wednesday 30th April 2014

0.30%

Another legacy transfer has been completed and our auditors have provided an update. Based on their preliminary analysis, heartbleed created two vulnerabilities that were exploited. First, the addresses for incoming Bitcoin deposits were altered. Second, multiple accounts were hacked and had balances changed. As part of the conditions of the Global Capital Alliance purchasing BTC-Arbs, we are tasked with resolving the mess and restoring order to the company. I am confident that we will be able to resolve our issues with your ongoing patience and support. Regular legacy transfers are being made and entire legacy fund balances are being moved one account at a time (after rigorous balance validation tests). Today's arbitrage result is 0.3%. Ron James & The Global Capital Alliance

And this then is the biggest bull I ever heard.

Heartbleed is only a problem with Openssl servers. btc-arbs could be using openssl but the very day heartbleed became known to the public (April 7th) was the day a fix was released. I do not believe heartbleed was the cause of this. Only 17% of the servers in out there use openssl.

I don't know why yonce is getting nailed here.  He's speaking the truth... these are common tactics and anyone saying otherwise are simply wearing rose-colored lenses.  This operation will end soon.  I just hope I get my initial investment back before that happens.

The problem is: he has no money in arbs, so his sole purpose here is to rub it in our face. I have written off my money in btc-arbs, I'm well aware it's a scam and have no illusions otherwise. That does not squash my hope. Same in everything I do. I don't need blow job doing the 'I told you so' dance. It just gets old, a little sympathy and humility go a long ways, especially with someone that doesn't have a horse in the race.

I'm hitting the ignore button on yonce. Not that I'll ever get my btc back. But the general ego orah of 'I know it all' has worn it's self thin with me.
194  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: btc-arbs.com - Daily ROI (0.01-10%) Update: withdrawal problems on: April 29, 2014, 09:22:18 PM
If they are giving out full legacy transfers to people with over 1btc I would hope I'm not far behind. I have 3.6 in my legacy fund.
195  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: btc-arbs.com - Daily ROI (0.01-10%) Update: withdrawal problems on: April 29, 2014, 08:41:15 PM
So basically what they've done is taken our coin, use it to trade and pay us back the interest into our new fund...sweet.

No, we don't get interest on the funds they took.
196  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: btc-arbs.com - Daily ROI (0.01-10%) Update: withdrawal problems on: April 29, 2014, 08:35:03 PM
Of those that have gotten their btc back, have any been more than 1 btc?
197  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: btc-arbs.com - Daily ROI (0.01-10%) Update: withdrawal problems on: April 29, 2014, 02:01:58 PM
That is what I do not understand, people have received about 3% of their deposits so far. 3% on that HUGE amount of accounts is a lot of money, I can bet they ve had around 15k BTC in their possession, 3% of that is 450 BTC or about $200k. Why would you return $200k to people who have already been scammed??? This story about them getting new deposits does not hold water. We all complain and tell people NOT to invest anything even though we get these crumbs so I do not see correlation between new deposits and these withdrawals.

There is something else behind this.

I don't think they got that much BTC from investors. 1.5k maybe, but even that sounds too much for me...

If everyone is similar to mine, the 3% doesn't work out. Because for the last 10 days or whatever it's been since this so called take over I have been getting arbitrage income on my active btc, as well as these tiny legacy transfers. Now I'm at 3% or slightly over that as a whole (adding both the arbitrage on the active amount and the legacy transfers).

Can we move on past yonce tooting his own horn? Let's get back to the subject at hand - has anyone received any response to their support tickets?

No response, but really I would only expect rudeness if there was response at this point.   I personally believe that Adam is still running the show and that this isn't the worst of what is to come.

Yeah agreed, a little while back I think he responded on this board about telling someone to reset their password, I can't say he was the least bit nice about it.

The game is over. There is nothing else to see. Btc-arbs is done. The ponzi ended, move onto the next. Don't waste your time contacting support of a dead ponzi.

Thank you, I've heard your opinion. The fact that your still here says 1- you're also waiting for news or 2- totally bored (in which case your opinion means zilch) or 3 - to continue to toot your own horn and sell us on more similar site where you can throw a reference link out.
So while I have written off my funds as a loss, it doesn't mean I can't maintain some form of hope until the site is closed completely. I think there are several in the same boat - which come here in hopes of news and to grip as a community not listen you pounding your chest about how much you make in high yield sites.

It's not my opinion. It is fact and has been since I first came here.

I'm here for the same reason I always have said to let people know when a site is a straight out scam and from a scummy admin. I don't toot my own horn or find pleasure in that. I'm embarrassed continuously for the Bitcoin community that it gets taken for millions upon millions when we are the ones who are suppose to be the most internet savvy. The same scam just happens over and over. I really thought Leancy would have been enough, but nope, btc-arbs has to happen, some smaller obvious short term scams happened, and now we have more people are piling their bitcoin into.

I don't throw any ref links out... The reality is there isn't any hope and you are doing yourself a disservice by believing so. But I understand it is human nature to hold out hope when there is none. It happens with every HYIP that fails. There's always users posting in the forums months later, admin please give me my money back and what not. This thread probably will have people posting for months if not still in 2015 looking for their lost ponzi game money. You gambled and lost, that is it.

And I am proud to give advice for those who want to still play HYIP's and I'm not ashamed whatsoever about that. I've well over tripled my bitcoin holdings since last year because of HYIP's.

The admin isn't going to answer your tickets. He is probably too busy with his other site rockwell-partners.

Once again tooting your own horn. Now that we know you're perfect and we also know it's a scam please move on and let us get back to gripping as a group. Since you seem to understand human nature so well you should understand the bitching we do is also therapeutic.
