Hi everyone!

Just thought I would post a bit of a news update for GP and plans for the future.

- We now have a new website at http://cryptodatabase.net/gp/ the hosting the website is on does not support another domain. If anyone has some spare hosting they can host the site on please let me know and I will cover the costs of a new domain for the GP website!

- GP is fully integrated into the RPG DragonKnight at http://dknight.ml

- The best place to trade BTC for GP is on Bittrex at: https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-GP

- I am working on getting GP integrated into many more games over the coming weeks so stay tuned for more updates there!

- I will most likely make a new GP ANN thread for the relaunch over the next week or so.

- If anyone integrates GP into their online game I will send them a tip.

- As a pure PoS coin we really need a GP multipool. I will reach out to some operators if anyone else knows someone please let us know about it here in the thread. A multipool will help GP a lot.

- There is still no ETA on the fork but it will be coming in the future. At least the coin does stake for now and keeps the max supply low!

- I haven't heard from Inkha at all but I hope he is still working on his GP projects!

- More updates coming soon. Goldpieces is a great name for a gaming coin and I can see us having an awesome crypto gaming ecosystem in a few months. If anyone wants to integrate GP into a game they are running / developing please let us know about it here in the thread.

Just a quick update guys. Ritchie from Bittrex has let me know that they will retain GP definitely for another 2 weeks, before then placing the warning again if things haven't improved by then, let's all help GP through these times, in a few months we will have a great crypto gaming ecosystem I am sure of it Wink

+1 , I have friend that has really popular game interested in this but as of now it needs a lot of work still.

Awesome please keep us updated!

Hashprofit is not a ponzi and i will give 1btc to anyone that can prove it is, me thinks my money is safe

Well the hashprofit site is still down and I have tried several times and means to contact them. And, I am willing to accept only .5 btc which was my contract that I had with them. Because of the holidays, I also never got to move my PFC coin, so they are gone as well!

185  Bitcoin / Project Development / Hello and technical help with Bitcoin funding project on: November 12, 2014, 07:13:11 PM
Hello one and all,
I'm relatively new to bitcoin at least the technical side and have questions and need help.
The non-profit I belong to is Eugene PeaceWorks (http://members.efn.org/~eugpeace/index.html#contact)
We have a fb page (https://www.facebook.com/eugene.peaceworks?fref=ts). Now, recently, the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) granted a low power radio station build permit to us. For a number of reasons, standard fundraising (about $14,500) will be to slow to meet the build deadline for our permit and I was wanting to set up a bitcoin donations page to help us meet our goals. Now, this is where I could really use help in the best way to go about this. Thank you in advance,
Rick Gold (freegold)

OK,
So can we start a New Discussion Thread for what features would make a good exchange. What qualifications would make a worthwhile crypto development?
What are known scams? What are good working cryptos and communities? Things like this. Richie has always responded to me, about what is going on with some problem I had with Bittrex. So, let's start having constructive conversations about more "mature markets and cryptos" ...

190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Potential Markets de-listed from Bittrex on Friday, July 25th on: July 24, 2014, 04:03:20 PM
I agree with most of what's been said here, but also think there needs to be a much wider discussion on the topic. I think that your criticisms are well founded but could be about almost any exchanges not just about Bittrex. I know that there are unscrupulous people developing crypto as well. So what is a solution to bring all these diverse parties to discuss these important issues?

193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Electric] scrypt - Electric Updated! *UPDATED 1/24/2014* *EXCHANGE ONLINE* on: February 21, 2014, 10:52:44 PM
Volt News: Brought to you by ccwirral.

1: We are working on getting a fork to add the kimoto gravity well to this coin. That should give us some stability for natural growth in both hashrate and price.

2: Once no1 has been finished up work is going to be started on opening an online shop that accepts volt. This will start small with things like risers, cooling fans and other small easily shipped items internationally. (We are based in the UK, but will try and discount enough so its worth it for all you USA and other international people).

3: If no2 has enough interest we will look to grow that shop into selling mining capable graphics cards, motherboards and other equipment with just enough margin so we can make a profit and also keep it cheap enough to keep everyone interested.

4: Here in the UK a few of us are working together to build a scrypt farm to secure the hashrate of many different altcoins with a lot of those machines being dedicated to making money for charitable causes. We will be starting work on this in the summer and aim to start with 100 mh/s building up to 1 gh/s then to 10 gh/s over the next year. Some of these hashes will be dedicated to volt to make sure the coin does not "die".

5: People have been discussing giveaways in this thread for some time so I will take it upon myself to start a few small giveaways from my own stash of volt and will be looking for donations towards any any further giveaways. If any big holders want to get involved to help promote the coin that would be greatly appreciated.

So thats whats been in the works on my end for the time being. if anyone else has any ideas or suggestions for the future of volt feel free to get involved. If you have been holding volt and are getting a little worried about the price drop on cryptorush etc just treat it as a medium-long term holding coin while we get things up and running.

Besides, the low price has put off the big multipool hashrate that was dominating the coin supply for a while, so this temporary low price is a blessing in disguise in my opinion as it is now viable to mine volt again.

So this means that new people are taking over this coin? Are you the new dev?

Awesome news, thanks ccwirral. Besides working on Coinup, I also am in communication with this multi coin faucet:  http://weurls.com/freekoin to adopt volt now  as a giveaway while it is so underpriced. With as little as 22 BTC  investment on cryptorush, the buy would move to .20 uBTC and from there the moon is the limit. Let's keep working on other exchanges to adopt volt, to spread the availability.

keep up the good work,
Rick

I think a drop to about 1 Satoshi would just attract more buyers and revolutionze the coin.

Nice work everyone. Our new motto should be: Welcome one and all to the electric volt-age! And what a deal 1 satoshi for this great coin after all the work that has already gone into it. Thanks Devs! and thanks to this community for getting behind it. Let's keep up the great work! Have any friends who are just new to crypto and are looking for a real deal. Volt is that deal!

I'm not a geek, and trying to understand this. What good is a multi coin wallet unless I can choose the coins that I want to store in it. This sounds to much like enterprising people who want to get people like me to use their software, simply to promote the coins that they have selected. There are over 100 coins now (and growing). Why don't you building a wallet that will house any or all of peoples choices. Is this so difficult?

Also, from this last weekend ibtimes.co.uk article, it appears that it already has made a significant splash in crypto-currency ...
"The rankings were momentarily skewed by a new cryptocurrency called electric, which surged almost 30,000% as its 2.9 billion coins hit $0.029 and briefly held a market cap of $83.8m, more than dogecoin's $78.2m. ..."

In my book, volt is far from dead. The dev has done his work, the coin is on the market, now, what is the community going to do to help it shine?Huh

The dev may be gone and he may have developed cryptorush also, but my feeling is this coin now has a life of its own. I bought in also, because I thought volt has great possibility. What's needed now is to start a program that shines this coin among others. There are several other exchanges starting, let's start asking their mods to list volt. Suggest they read the new article about electric/volt being the new coin on the block. How about some bolg articles? Here are a few newer exchanges (https://www.mintpal.com/ and https://www.swisscex.com/ as 2 exAMPLES) to ask to list. Please start listing your recommendations for exchanges, too. Instead of sitting here bitching about what's wrong, let's all start getting the word out.
Stop waiting for the dev this, the dev that, it's time for the community to step up and put some electricity into volt!
thanks
