Very good, well spotted, yes its 2%. If you premine 2 % that would be 20 billion, and that's 10% of the coins mined in the first FOUR years, that's insane!! Well, tell your friends to sign up, 0.4% will go to everyone who asks and 1.4% will go to anyone who throws some real money at us for development... which we will then transparently throw at developers who work on it.... However the 0.8% transaction fee is INSANE. Even if you can change to 0.1% that would still annoying long term. We thought that might cause some controversy, but once every see's how we're using it to grow the idea and promote payments they should accept it. PLUS it's optional AND we're completely upfront about it AND 0.1% on $100 is only 10c... You have to think long term.... Other than that, great ideas. Why thanks, I'm putting you down for an extra share ! Thank you! I pm'd you. As long as you put it up clear for everyone to see, so there's no questions or bashing after launch. Still, I think it's quite much, you will need to distribute at least half of the premine withing a couple of weeks, else there'll be alot of doubt. I predict that people will suspect you that you'll dump the premine as soon it hits an exchange. That's why it's important to start many giveaways and open a big faucet within days of release. Remember. 2% equals around 20 weeks of mining. I suggest you to think about that fact and think of it's pros and cons. I wish you luck on launch! I'll be following this. |

Because 2 billion out of 1 trillion is 0,2%. not 2%
If you premine 2 % that would be 20 billion, and that's 10% of the coins mined in the first FOUR years, that's insane!!
If that's the cause it would take around 140 days to mine as much as you premine.
BUT if it's 0,2% it would still take roughly 2 weeks to mine as much as you premine. That's also QUITE much. but acceptable.
However the 0.8% transaction fee is INSANE. Even if you can change to 0.1% that would still annoying long term.
Other than that, great ideas.

The dev said it would take a long time to generate 1500 private keys. Your coins vanishing shouldn't have anything to do with the dev or this coin, should it? Did you have a password protected wallet out of curiosity?
When I imported the key an address was added to my wallet. THAT address sent away the 45 smc. It's no coincidence that it happened to us both. Other user is Macromolecule, I pm'd him and he confirmed that his smc was also gone. Edit: I have around 300 coins now, so if they had access to my wallet they would have sent everything right? In other words, they did not have access to my wallet, but someone else had access to that key. The only other person that have access to the key is the dev. Since I generated the private keys in my wallet, the key is still there. That is why I explicitly said in the email to transfer your coins once you receive the private keys. Now you see the flaw in that distribution method and why its taking me longer to get them out. Actually it didn't say that in my mail, you probably didn't add that untill the next mail since you said you were changing the mails as they went out. But okey I understand, I do hope that I'll recieve a new key once you have figured out how to distribute the coins. Thanks for the respone |

I recieved the 45 SMC mail as a test mail 40 hours ago, because I was on the irc at the time and said I could try it. So I got the private key, and imported it to my wallet and got the 45 SMC. I posted it here yesterday. Well, when I woke up this morning, I see that my 45 SMC is gone, they've been transfered to another address just like that. I'm not sure how, but it happened. It also happened to another person who also joined the test mail. ..thanks..my wallet just synced with one bar..but at least its connected...I copied your information...but I don't want to risk changing the files unless I have to...my friend lost all his coins trying that...so..I'm cautious..won't do it until I have to..at this point thinking of having a cloud wallet and sending them there if mine stays synced long enough...
Just make sure to have a copy of your wallet(s) somewhere, perhaps another computer and/or an usb stick. |

This IS NOT a BUBBLE This is buying new coin for cheap prices by smart people :-) Look at coins at coinedup. Any crap is high. LEAF will be at 80 as a normal price. With this hype, great miners, popularity, could be at 120-200 level and no joking now.  With hash increasing and diff increasing, and blocks halving there is no way to say how high the price can go. I just do not know what to make of this coin. I have never ever seen an increase this fast ... Total supply is half of Doge, so a price double of doge should be reality in a couple of weeks, since the reward halving is so fast and diff increase at such rate. |

I put fcking 20Mhz and got 1000 coins so far and this guy is giving away more than that. Thankfully I moved away at the right time. For comparison if I would have mined LEAF coin I could have made 2-3BTC.. 1000 coins is pretty much and will definately be worth 2 BTC or more in a couple of weeks. SmartCoin haven't even hit exchanges yet, it's not even 2 days old! Patience my friend. |

We have hit 1200 sign ups!
We have also decided that we will keep the payout of 45 SMC constant, which means that we will increase the total given away to continue offering the 45 SMC award until the SMC launch.
Maybe you have right (sorry if I wrong) but now is 1500 people not 1200. I am hoping for 45 but ,I am thinking it may be only 30, I guess we wait and see. He said the 45 SMC is constant. That means we'll get 45 SMC. From the OP: "At least 45,000 SMC (†) will be divided equally and given to the people who reserved their SMC beforehand." AT LEAST 45,000 SMC. |
