I'd wait for some bullish confirmation before buying any altcoins, right now they are all dropping like candles

EOS looks like a scam project to me until recently, all they had going for is their whitepaper and some very suspicious decisions on behalf of the developers team. ETH is much better in my opinion

Bitcoin is and always will be number 1, but that doesn't mean that ethereum doesn't have it's perks. They both offer great value for different purposes

That's a risk you have to take when investing your time in ICO's. I personally like to choose only ICO's that have already reached softcap in order to not get this problem

This is too much of a broad question to give a specific answer. Different altcoins serve different purposes, you should learn about as many of them as you can in order to understand the topic

We can't be too sure, trend is bullish right now but that doesn't mean that we can't be rejected hard around 10k and make a reversal down towards lower lows

Whitepapers are the best way to get a good idea of what the project is about, if the team is legit and how competent the people involved in it are.

Exactly, it doesn't matter how good the project is, if btc is tanking then it's taking the rest of the projects with him and there isn't much we can do about it - expect learning to play by the rules of the game and make money off of shorting btc

First, you should learn from your mistakes, don't hold alts in a downtrend - bitcoin is acceptable but optimally you'd be holding stable cryptocurrencies like tether or TUSD and/or be shorting btc.
